Global asymptotic dynamics of a cubic‐autocatalytic reaction‐diffusion system, the reversible Schnackenberg equations, is investigated in this paper. A global attractor is shown to exist unconditionally for the semiflow of weak solutions with the Dirichlet boundary condition on a bounded domain of dimension . The upper semicontinuity (robustness) of the global attractors for the family of solution semiflows with respect to the reverse reaction rate as it converges to zero is proved by showing the uniform dissipativity and the uniformly bounded evolution of the union of global attractors under the bundle of reversible and nonreversible semiflows to overcome the hurdle of semisingular perturbation.  相似文献

Dynamics of systems on infinite lattices   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The dynamics of infinite-dimensional lattice systems is studied. A necessary and sufficient condition for asymptotic compactness of lattice dynamical systems is introduced. It is shown that a lattice system has a global attractor if and only if it has a bounded absorbing set and is asymptotically null. As an application, it is proved that the lattice reaction-diffusion equation has a global attractor in a weighted l2 space, which is compact as well as contains traveling waves. The upper semicontinuity of global attractors is also obtained when the lattice reaction-diffusion equation is approached by finite-dimensional systems.  相似文献

In this work the existence of a global attractor is proved for the solution semiflow of the coupled two-compartment Gray-Scott equations with the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition on a bounded domain of space dimension n≤3. The grouping estimation method combined with a new decomposition approach is introduced to overcome the difficulties in proving the absorbing property and the asymptotic compactness of this four-component reaction-diffusion systems with cubic autocatalytic nonlinearity and linear coupling. The finite dimensionality of the global attractor is also proved.  相似文献

This paper studies the pullback asymptotic behavior of solutions for a non-autonomous incompressible non-Newtonian fluid in two-dimensional (2D) bounded domains. We first prove the existence of pullback attractors AV in space V (has H2-regularity, see notation in Section 2) and AH in space H (has L2-regularity) for the cocycle corresponding to the solutions of the fluid. Then we verify the regularity of the pullback attractors by showing AV=AH, which implies the pullback asymptotic smoothing effect of the fluid in the sense that the solutions become eventually more regular than the initial data.  相似文献

We consider monotone semigroups in ordered spaces and give general results concerning the existence of extremal equilibria and global attractors. We then show some applications of the abstract scheme to various evolutionary problems, from ODEs and retarded functional differential equations to parabolic and hyperbolic PDEs. In particular, we exhibit the dynamical properties of semigroups defined by semilinear parabolic equations in RN with nonlinearities depending on the gradient of the solution. We consider as well systems of reaction-diffusion equations in RN and provide some results concerning extremal equilibria of the semigroups corresponding to damped wave problems in bounded domains or in RN. We further discuss some nonlocal and quasilinear problems, as well as the fourth order Cahn-Hilliard equation.  相似文献

We prove the existence of weak solutions for a phase-field model with three coupled equations with unknown uniqueness, and state several dynamical systems depending on the regularity of the initial data. Then, the existence of families of global attractors (level-set depending) for the corresponding multi-valued semiflows is established, applying an energy method. Finally, using the regularizing effect of the problem, we prove that these attractors are in fact the same.  相似文献

For a bounded smooth domain ΩRNx+Ny let Ω?, 0<?, be a family of domains squeezed in yRNy direction. On Ω? we consider a reaction-diffusion equation with nonsymmetrical linear part. We show that under natural conditions on the nonlinearity the generated semi-flows have global attractors which in a certain sense have limits, as ?↓0.  相似文献

First, the existence and structure of uniform attractors in H is proved for nonautonomous 2D Navier-Stokes equations on bounded domain with a new class of distribution forces, termed normal in (see Definition 3.1), which are translation bounded but not translation compact in . Then, the properties of the kernel section are investigated. Last, the fractal dimension is estimated for the kernel sections of the uniform attractors obtained.  相似文献

The asymptotic behavior of solutions of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations is considered on bounded smooth domains with no-slip boundary conditions and on periodic domains. Asymptotic regularity conditions are presented to ensure that the convergence of a Leray-Hopf weak solution to its weak ω-limit set (weak in the sense of the weak topology of the space H of square-integrable divergence-free velocity fields with the appropriate boundary conditions) are achieved also in the strong topology. It is proved that the weak ω-limit set is strongly compact and strongly attracts the corresponding solution if and only if all the solutions in the weak ω-limit set are continuous in the strong topology of H. Corresponding results for the strong convergence towards the weak global attractor of Foias and Temam are also presented. In this case, it is proved that the weak global attractor is strongly compact and strongly attracts the weak solutions, uniformly with respect to uniformly bounded sets of weak solutions, if and only if all the global weak solutions in the weak global attractor are strongly continuous in H.  相似文献

This paper investigates the pullback asymptotic behaviors for the non-autonomous micropolar fluid flows in 2D bounded domains. We use the energy method, combining with some important properties of the generated processes, to prove the existence of pullback exponential attractors and global pullback attractors and show that they both with finite fractal dimension. Further, we give the relationship between global pullback attractors and pullback exponential attractors.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the convergence of the wave equation with variable internal damping term γn(x)ut to the wave equation with boundary damping γ(x)⊗δx∈∂Ωut when (γn(x)) converges to γ(x)⊗δx∈∂Ω in the sense of distributions. When the domain Ω in which these equations are defined is an interval in R, we show that, under natural hypotheses, the compact global attractor of the wave equation damped on the interior converges in X=H1(ΩL2(Ω) to the one of the wave equation damped on the boundary, and that the dynamics on these attractors are equivalent. We also prove, in the higher-dimensional case, that the attractors are lower-semicontinuous in X and upper-semicontinuous in H1−ε(ΩHε(Ω).  相似文献

Using theory of global attractors for multi-valued semiflows, we prove the existence of a global attractor for the m-semiflow generated by a parabolic equation involving the nonlinear degenerate operator in a bounded domain.  相似文献

We consider phase-field systems of Caginalp type on a three-dimensional bounded domain. The order parameter fulfills a dynamic boundary condition, while the (relative) temperature is subject to a homogeneous boundary condition of Dirichlet, Neumann or Robin type. Moreover, the two equations are nonlinearly coupled through a quadratic growth function. Here we extend several results which have been proven by some of the authors for the linear coupling. More precisely, we demonstrate the existence and uniqueness of global solutions. Then we analyze the associated dynamical system and we establish the existence of global as well as exponential attractors. We also discuss the convergence of given solutions to a single equilibrium.  相似文献

Based on a new a priori estimate method, so-called asymptotic a priori estimate, the existence of a global attractor is proved for the wave equation utt+kg(ut)−Δu+f(u)=0 on a bounded domain ΩR3 with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The nonlinear damping term g is supposed to satisfy the growth condition C1(|s|−C2)?|g(s)|?C3(1+p|s|), where 1?p<5; the damping parameter is arbitrary; the nonlinear term f is supposed to satisfy the growth condition |f(s)|?C4(1+q|s|), where q?2. It is remarkable that when 2<p<5, we positively answer an open problem in Chueshov and Lasiecka [I. Chueshov, I. Lasiecka, Long-time behavior of second evolution equations with nonlinear damping, Math. Scuola Norm. Sup. (2004)] and improve the corresponding results in Feireisl [E. Feireisl, Global attractors for damped wave equations with supercritical exponent, J. Differential Equations 116 (1995) 431-447].  相似文献

There are two results within this paper. The one is the regularity of trajectory attractor and the trajectory asymptotic smoothing effect of the incompressible non-Newtonian fluid on 2D bounded domains, for which the solution to each initial value could be non-unique. The other is the upper semicontinuity of global attractors of the addressed fluid when the spatial domains vary from Ωm to Ω=R×(−L,L), where is an expanding sequence of simply connected, bounded and smooth subdomains of Ω such that ΩmΩ as m→+∞. That is, let A and Am be the global attractors of the fluid corresponding to Ω and Ωm, respectively, we establish that for any neighborhood O(A) of A, the global attractor Am enters O(A) if m is large enough.  相似文献

We study the fractional power dissipative equations, whose fundamental semigroup is given by et(−Δ)α with α>0. By using an argument of duality and interpolation, we extend space-time estimates of the fractional power dissipative equations in Lebesgue spaces to the Hardy spaces and the modulation spaces. These results are substantial extensions of some known results. As applications, we study both local and global well-posedness of the Cauchy problem for the nonlinear fractional power dissipative equation ut+(−Δ)αu=|u|mu for initial data in the modulation spaces.  相似文献

The goal of this work is to study in some detail the asymptotic behaviour of a non-autonomous Lotka-Volterra model, both in the conventional sense (as t→∞) and in the “pullback” sense (starting a fixed initial condition further and further back in time). The non-autonomous terms in our model are chosen such that one species will eventually die out, ruling out any conventional type of permanence. In contrast, we introduce the notion of “pullback permanence” and show that this property is enjoyed by our model. This is not just a mathematical artifice, but rather shows that if we come across an ecology that has been evolving for a very long time we still expect that both species are represented (and their numbers are bounded below), even if the final fate of one of them is less happy. The main tools in the paper are the theory of attractors for non-autonomous differential equations, the sub-supersolution method and the spectral theory for linear elliptic equations.  相似文献

The existence of a pullback attractor is established for the singularly perturbed FitzHugh–Nagumo system defined on the entire space RnRn when external terms are unbounded in a phase space. The pullback asymptotic compactness of the system is proved by using uniform a priori estimates for far-field values of solutions. Although the limiting system has no global attractor, we show that the pullback attractors for the perturbed system with bounded external terms are uniformly bounded, and hence do not blow up as a small parameter approaches zero.  相似文献

We prove the global existence of the so-called H2 solutions for a nonlinear wave equation with a nonlinear dissipative term and a derivative type nonlinear perturbation. To show the boundedness of the second order derivatives we need a precise energy decay estimate and for this we employ a ‘loan’ method.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic behaviour of non-autonomous 2D Navier–Stokes equations in unbounded domains for which a Poincaré inequality holds. In particular, we give sufficient conditions for their pullback attractor to have finite fractal dimension. The existence of pullback attractors in this framework comes from the existence of bounded absorbing sets of pullback asymptotically compact processes [T. Caraballo, G. ?ukaszewicz, J. Real, Pullback attractors for asymptotically compact nonautonomous dynamical systems, Nonlinear Anal. 64 (3) (2006) 484–498]. We show that, under suitable conditions, the method of Lyapunov exponents in [P. Constantin, C. Foias, R. Temam, Attractors representing turbulent flows, Mem. Amer. Math. Soc. 53 (1984) [5]] for the dimension of attractors can be developed in this new context.  相似文献
