The Newton method is one of the most powerful tools used to solve systems of nonlinear equations. Its set-valued generalization, considered in this work, allows one to solve also nonlinear equations with geometric constraints and systems of inequalities in a unified manner. The emphasis is given to systems of linear inequalities. The study of the well-posedness of the algorithm and of its convergence is fulfilled in the framework of modern variational analysis.  相似文献

We provide a local convergence analysis for Newton’s method under a weak majorant condition in a Banach space setting. Our results provide under the same information a larger radius of convergence and tighter error estimates on the distances involved than before [14]. In this paper, we present new computation formulas for the contingent epiderivative and hypoderivative of a set-valued map taking values in a Banach space with a shrinking Schauder basis. These formulas are established in terms of the Fourier coefficients, and, in particular, in terms of the derivatives of the component maps associated with the Schauder basis. As an application, we obtain multiplier rules for vector optimization problems in terms of the derivatives of the component maps, extending classical results from smooth multiobjective optimization problems.  相似文献

We propose a definition of lower closed transitive relations and prove the existence of minimal elements for such a relation. This result is shown to contain probably a large part of existing versions of Ekeland’s variational principle (EVP). We introduce the notion of a weak τ-function p as a generalized distance and use it together with the above result on minimal elements to establish enhanced EVP for various settings, under relaxed lower semicontinuity assumptions. These principles conclude the existence not only of p-strict minimizers of p-perturbations of the considered vector function, but also p-sharp and p-strong minimizers. Our results are proved to be stronger than the classical EVP and many generalizations in the literature, even in the usual one-dimensional case, by numerous corollaries and examples. We include equivalent formulations of our enhanced EVP as well.  相似文献

In this paper, based on a simple model of the trust region subproblem, we propose a new self-adaptive trust region method with a line search technique for solving unconstrained optimization problems. By use of the simple subproblem model, the new method needs less memory capacitance and computational complexity. And the trust region radius is adjusted with a new self-adaptive adjustment strategy which makes full use of the information at the current point. When the trial step results in an increase in the objective function, the method does not resolve the subproblem, but it performs a line search technique from the failed point. Convergence properties of the method are proved under certain conditions. Numerical experiments show that the new method is effective and attractive for large-scale optimization problems.  相似文献

This tutorial presents an introduction to generalized semi-infinite programming (GSIP) which in recent years became a vivid field of active research in mathematical programming. A GSIP problem is characterized by an infinite number of inequality constraints, and the corresponding index set depends additionally on the decision variables. There exist a wide range of applications which give rise to GSIP models; some of them are discussed in the present paper. Furthermore, geometric and topological properties of the feasible set and, in particular, the difference to the standard semi-infinite case are analyzed. By using first-order approximations of the feasible set corresponding constraint qualifications are developed. Then, necessary and sufficient first- and second-order optimality conditions are presented where directional differentiability properties of the optimal value function of the so-called lower level problem are used. Finally, an overview of numerical methods is given.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct an iterative scheme and prove strong convergence theorem of the sequence generated to an approximate solution to a multiple sets split feasibility problem in a p-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. Some numerical experiments are given to study the efficiency and implementation of our iteration method. Our result complements the results of F. Wang (A new algorithm for solving the multiple-sets split feasibility problem in Banach spaces, Numerical Functional Anal. Optim. 35 (2014), 99–110), F. Scho¨pfer et al. (An iterative regularization method for the solution of the split feasibility problem in Banach spaces, Inverse Problems 24 (2008), 055008) and many important recent results in this direction.  相似文献

In this paper,a quasidifferentiable programming problem with inequality constraintsis considered. First,a general form of optimality conditions for this problem is glven,which contains the results of Luderer,Kuntz and Scholtes. Next,a new generalized K-T condition is derived. The new optimality condition doesn‘t use Luderer‘s regularity assumption and ita Lagrangian multipliers don‘t depend on the particular elements in the superdifferentials of the object function and constraint functions, Finally,a penalty function for the prohlem is studied. In this paper, we prove sufficient conditions for controllability and strong controllability in terms of the Mordukhovich subdifferential for two classes of differential inclusions. The first one is the class of sub-Lipschitz multivalued functions introduced by Loewen-Rockafellar (1994) [10]. The second one, introduced recently by Clarke (2005) [18], is the class of multivalued functions which are pseudo-Lipschitz and satisfy the so-called tempered growth condition. To do this, we establish an error bound result in terms of the Mordukhovich subdifferential outside Asplund spaces.  相似文献

We develop and analyze a new affine scaling Levenberg–Marquardt method with nonmonotonic interior backtracking line search technique for solving bound-constrained semismooth equations under local error bound conditions. The affine scaling Levenberg–Marquardt equation is based on a minimization of the squared Euclidean norm of linear model adding a quadratic affine scaling matrix to find a solution that belongs to the bounded constraints on variable. The global convergence results are developed in a very general setting of computing trial directions by a semismooth Levenberg–Marquardt method where a backtracking line search technique projects trial steps onto the feasible interior set. We establish that close to the solution set the affine scaling interior Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm is shown to converge locally Q-superlinearly depending on the quality of the semismooth and Levenberg–Marquardt parameter under an error bound assumption that is much weaker than the standard nonsingularity condition, that is, BD-regular condition under nonsmooth case. A nonmonotonic criterion should bring about speed up the convergence progress in the contours of objective function with large curvature.  相似文献

In this paper, by means of a new efficient identification technique of active constraints and the method of strongly sub-feasible direction, we propose a new sequential system of linear equations (SSLE) algorithm for solving inequality constrained optimization problems, in which the initial point is arbitrary. At each iteration, we first yield the working set by a pivoting operation and a generalized projection; then, three or four reduced linear equations with a same coefficient are solved to obtain the search direction. After a finite number of iterations, the algorithm can produced a feasible iteration point, and it becomes the method of feasible directions. Moreover, after finitely many iterations, the working set becomes independent of the iterates and is essentially the same as the active set of the KKT point. Under some mild conditions, the proposed algorithm is proved to be globally, strongly and superlinearly convergent. Finally, some preliminary numerical experiments are reported to show that the algorithm is practicable and effective.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new trust region method for unconstrained optimization problems. The new trust region method can automatically adjust the trust region radius of related subproblems at each iteration and has strong global convergence under some mild conditions. We also analyze the global linear convergence, local superlinear and quadratic convergence rate of the new method. Numerical results show that the new trust region method is available and efficient in practical computation.  相似文献

The most restrictive condition used by Kantorovich for proving the semilocal convergence of Newton’s method in Banach spaces is relaxed in this paper, providing we can guarantee the semilocal convergence in situations that Kantorovich cannot. To achieve this, we use Kantorovich’s technique based on majorizing sequences, but our majorizing sequences are obtained differently, by solving initial value problems.  相似文献

A interior point scaling projected reduced Hessian method with combination of nonmonotonic backtracking technique and trust region strategy for nonlinear equality constrained optimization with nonegative constraint on variables is proposed. In order to deal with large problems,a pair of trust region subproblems in horizontal and vertical subspaces is used to replace the general full trust region subproblem. The horizontal trust region subproblem in the algorithm is only a general trust region subproblem while the vertical trust region subproblem is defined by a parameter size of the vertical direction subject only to an ellipsoidal constraint. Both trust region strategy and line search technique at each iteration switch to obtaining a backtracking step generated by the two trust region subproblems. By adopting the l1 penalty function as the merit function, the global convergence and fast local convergence rate of the proposed algorithm are established under some reasonable conditions. A nonmonotonic criterion and the second order correction step are used to overcome Maratos effect and speed up the convergence progress in some ill-conditioned cases.  相似文献

Based on the ideas of norm-relaxed sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method and the strongly sub-feasible direction method, we propose a new SQP algorithm for the solution of nonlinear inequality constrained optimization. Unlike the previous work, at each iteration, the norm-relaxed quadratic programming subproblem (NRQPS) in our algorithm only consists of the constraints corresponding to an estimate of the active set, and the high-order correction direction (used to avoid the Maratos effect) is obtained by solving a system of linear equations (SLE) which also only consists of such a subset of constraints and gradients. Moreover, the line search technique can effectively combine the initialization process with the optimization process, and therefore (if the starting point is not feasible) the iteration points always get into the feasible set after a finite number of iterations. The global convergence is proved under the Mangasarian–Fromovitz constraint qualification (MFCQ), and the superlinear convergence is obtained without assuming the strict complementarity. Finally, the numerical experiments show that the proposed algorithm is effective and promising for the test problems.  相似文献

In this paper, the concepts of weak invexity and weak quasi invexity are introduced and the relations among several kinds of generalized invexity are studied for nonsmooth functions by means of the properties of limiting subdifferentials. In addition, the relations between generalized invexity of a nonsmooth function and generalized invariant monotonicity of its limiting subdifferential mapping are researched. In the present paper, the effects of nonlinear perturbations of constraint systems are considered over the relationship between calmness and exact penalization, within the context of mathematical programming with equilibrium constraints. Two counterexamples are provided showing that the crucial link between the existence of penalty functions and the property of calmness for perturbed problems is broken in the presence of general perturbations. Then, some properties from variational analysis are singled out, which are able to restore to a certain extent the broken link. Consequently, conditions on the value function associated to perturbed optimization problems are investigated in order to guarantee the occurrence of the above properties.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to developing the Tikhonov-type regularization algorithm of finding efficient solutions to the vector optimization problem for a mapping between finite dimensional Hilbert spaces with respect to the partial order induced by a pointed closed convex cone. We prove that under some suitable conditions either the sequence generated by our method converges to an efficient solution or all of its cluster points belong to the set of all efficient solutions of this problem.  相似文献
