The muon spectra from the decays ofW-andZ-bosons, produced ine + e ?W + W ?,e + e ?Zγ,e + e ?ZZ ande + e ?ZH reactions have been obtained (H is the Higgs boson). It has been shown (in terms of Glashow-Weinberg-Salam theory) that the main source of muons are thee + e ?Zγ ande + e ?W + W ? processes (over theW-boson production threshold). The contribution of thee + e ?ZZ ande + e ?ZH reactions to the inclusive muon spectra is small. It has been also shown, that it is possible to distinguish contributions of thee + e ?Zγ ande + e ?W + W ? reactions if the decay muons move at a small angle to the initial electron momentum.  相似文献

We study interference patterns in the φ → (γa 0+π 0 ρ) → γπη and φ → (γf 0+π 0 ρ) → γπ 0 π 0 reactions. Taking into account the interference, we fit the experimental data and show that the background reaction does not distort the π 0 η spectrum in the decay φγπη everywhere over the energy region and does not distort the π 0 π 0 spectrum in the decay φγπ 0 π 0 in the wide region of the π 0 π 0-system invariant mass, π ππ > 670 MeV, or when the photon energy is less than 300 MeV. We discuss the details of the scalar meson production in the radiative decays and note that there are reasonable arguments in favor of the one-loop mechanism φK + K ?γa 0 and φK + K ?γf 0. We also discuss distinctions between the four-quark, molecular, and two-quark models and argue that the Novosibirsk data give evidence in favor of the four-quark nature of the scalar a 0(980) and f 0(980) mesons.  相似文献

Assuming that the quark kicked by a virtual photon emits pions one by one, integral equations connecting the fragmentation functions Duπ+ (z) and Duπ? (z) are obtained. It is shown that they have a plateau the height of which can be determined from the multiplicity difference Npπ+ (z) ? Npπ? (z). Comparison with experiment is made.  相似文献

Based on the algebraic method (AM) and the energy consistent method (ECM), an AM-ECM protocol for analytical potential energy curves of stable diatomic electronic states is proposed as functions of the internuclear distance. Applications of the AM-ECM to the 6 hydride electronic states of HF-X 1 Σ +, DF-X 1 Σ +, D35Cl-X 1 Σ +, 6LiH-X 1 Σ +, 7LiH-X 1 Σ +, and 7LiD-X 1 Σ + show that the AM-ECM potentials are in excellent agreement with the experimental RKR data and the full AM-RKR data, and that the AM-ECM can obtain reliable analytical potential energies in the molecular asymptotic and dissociation region for these molecular electronic states.  相似文献

We revisit F π(Q 2) and F (Q 2), P = π, η, η′, making use of the local-duality (LD) version of QCD sum rules. We give arguments that the LD sum rule provides reliable predictions for these form factors at Q 2 ≥ 5–6 GeV2, the accuracy of the method increasing with Q 2 in this region. For the pion elastic form factor, the well-measured data at small Q 2 give a hint that the LD limit may be reached already at relatively low values of momentum transfers, Q 2 ≈ 4–8 GeV2; we therefore conclude that large deviations from LD in the region Q 2 = 20–50 GeV2 seem very unlikely. The data on the (η, η′) → γγ* form factors meet the expectations from the LD model. However, the BaBar results for the π 0γγ* form factor imply a violation of LD growing with Q 2 even at Q 2 ≈ 40 GeV2, at odds with the η, η′ case and with the general properties expected for the LD sum rule.  相似文献

Relying on the Hidden Local Symmetry (HLS) model equipped with a mechanism breaking the U(3)/SU(3)/SU(2) symmetries and generating a dynamical vector meson mixing, it has been shown that a global fit successfully describes the cross sections for the e + e ?π + π ?, e + e ?→(π 0/η)γ and e + e ?π 0 π + π ? annihilation channels. One extends this global fit in order to include also the dipion spectra from the τ decay, taking into account all reported information on their statistical and systematic errors. A model accounting for lineshape distortions of the ρ ± spectrum relative to ρ 0 is also examined when analyzing the τ data behavior within the global fit framework. One shows that a successful account for e + e ? annihilation data and τ spectra can be simultaneously reached. Then, issues related with non-perturbative hadronic contributions to the muon g?2 are examined in details. It is shown that all e + e ? data considered together allow for improved and motivated estimates for the a μ (π + π ?), the π + π ? loop contribution to the muon g?2; for instance, integrated between 0.630 and 0.958 GeV, we find a μ (π + π ?)=359.62±1.62 (in units of 10?10), a 40% improvement of the current uncertainty. The effects of the various τ samples in the context of a global fit procedure leads to conclude that different lineshape distortions are revealed by the ALEPH, BELLE and CLEO data samples. Relying on global fits to the data quoted above, one also provides motivated estimates of the π + π ?, π 0 γ, η γ and π 0 π + π ? contributions to a μ up to 1 GeV with the smallest possible uncertainties. These estimates are based on various global fit configurations, each yielding a good probability.  相似文献

It is shown that the list of unusual mesons that are planned to be studied in photoproduction reactions can be supplemented with I G (J PC)=2+ (2++) exotic states X ±(1600), which are natural to seek as manifestations of the ρ±ρ0 decay channels in the reactions γN → ρ±ρ0 N and γN → ρ±ρ0Δ. A classification of the ρ±ρ0 states according to their quantum numbers is presented. A model for the spin structure of the amplitudes for the reactions γpf 2(1270)p, γpa 2 0 (1320)p, and γNX ±(N, Δ) is proposed, and estimates are obtained for the corresponding cross sections. At E γ≈6 GeV, it is found that σ(γPf 2(1270)p)≈0.12 μb, σ(γpa 2 0 (1320)p)≈0.25 μb, σ(γNX ± N → ρ±ρ0 N) ≈ 0.018 μb, and σ(γpX Δ++ → ρρ0Δ++≈0.031 μb. The problem of isolating signals from X ± states against the natural background that is associated with other channels of π±π0π+π production is discussed. It is deduced that searches for exotic states X ±(2+ (2++)) in experiments at JLAB will be quite efficient—for example, the yield of about 2.8×106 events per month is expected to correspond to the estimated cross sections for the reactions γNX ± N → ρ±ρ0 N. __________ Translated from Yadernaya Fizika, Vol. 63, No. 10, 2000, pp. 1904–1912. It has been proposed recently that the scale of quantum gravity (“the string scale”) can be MS∼few TeV with n≥2 extra dimensions of size R≲mm so that, at distances greater than R, Newtonian gravity with MPl∼1018 GeV is reproduced if MPl2RnMSn+2. Exchange of virtual gravitons in this theory generates higher-dimensional operators involving SM fields, suppressed by powers of MS. We discuss constraints on this scenario from the contribution of these operators to the processes e+eW+W, ZZ, γγ. We find that LEP2 can place a limit MS≈1 TeV from e+eW+W, ZZ, γγ.  相似文献

Multiparametric variational calculations of the ground-state energy of symmetric four-particle mesomolecules of the type X + Y + X ? Y ? as a function of masses M and m of particles X and Y are carried out. A basis consisting of 3200 Gaussian functions depending on all six interparticle distances is used. Calculations are carried out with the optimization of 1200 nonlinear parameters of the first 200 basis functions. As opposed to mesomolecules of the type X + X + Y ? Y ?, which are stable for all values of masses M and m in X + Y + X ? Y ? systems, are stable with respect to dissociation if the ratio of the masses of particles X and Y in them satisfies the condition 0.472≤M/m≤2.12. Hence it follows that four symmetric mesomolecules of the type considered (π+μ +π?μ?, t + d + t ? d ?, p + K + p ? K ?, and d + p + d ? p ?) and 84 various asymmetric mesomolecules of the type X + Y + Z ? T ? are knowingly stable with respect to dissociation. For mesomolecules of the type X + Y + X ? Y ?, which are stable with respect to dissociation, mathematical expectations of their physical quantities depending on interparticle distances that specify averaged geometrical structures of these systems are calculated and their dependence on the masses of particles M and m is studied.  相似文献

Zero-phonon lines of a pair center of Mn4+ ions are observed in the luminescence and luminescence-excitation spectra of SrTiO3:Mn crystal. Based on the experimental data, the energy-level structure of the ground state ∣4 A 2g ,4 A 2g 〉 and excited state ∣4 A 2g ,2 E g 〉 of the Mn4+-Mn4+ pair center is constructed. It is shown that the exchange interaction in the ground state of the Mn4+-Mn4+ pair is antiferromagnetic. Energies of the levels are calculated assuming that the pair is formed by Mn4+ ions occupying neighboring octahedral positions of Ti4+ ions along the [110] axis. Experimental values of the exchange integral in the ground state ∣4 A 2g ,4 A 2g 〉 and energies of spin multiplets in the excited state ∣4 A 2g ,2 E g 〉 agree well with calculation of the exchange interaction carried out within the framework of the channel model with the parameters J ξη = 32 cm4-1 and J ζζ = ?45.5 cm4-1. Experimental data and calculations unambiguously demonstrate that zero-phonon lines in the luminescence and luminescence-excitation spectra have magnetic-dipole nature.  相似文献

The g, h, and k Dalitz plot parameters, which are coefficients in a series expansion of the squared module of the matrix element |M(u, v)|2 ∝ 1 + gu + hu 2 + kv 2 (u, v are invariant variables), have been measured for K ± → π±π 0π0 decays using 35 GeV/c hadron beams at the IHEP (Protvino) accelerator. Dependences of parameters and fit quality on the π0π0 mass cut were investigated for the first time. It is shown that the expansion mentioned above does not fit the experimental data near the π+π? mass threshold and that addition of the cubic terms only slightly improves the fit quality. This result indicates the important role of nonanalytical terms in the matrix element that are connected with pion rescattering. A comparison of our data with previous measurements is presented.  相似文献

The static quadrupole moments Q2+ and B(E2; 0+ → 2+) values of the 2+ first excited states of 200Hg and 202Hg have been determined using the reorientation effect in Coulomb excitation. An annular silicon surface-barrier detector was used to detect backscattered 4He, 12C and 16O projectiles. It is found that for 200Hg, Q2+ = +1.07 ± 0.19 e · b(+0.98 ± 0.19 e · b) for destructive (constructive) interference from the 2+′ state, and B(E2; 0+ → 2+) = 0.853 ± 0.007 e2 · b2. For 202Hg, we find Q2+ = +1.01 ± 0.13 e · b (+0.87 ± 0.13 e · b) and B(E2; 0+ → 2+) = 0.605 ± 0.005 e2 · b2. The Q2+ value obtained for 200Hg is in agreement with previous work, but that for 202Hg is not. The results obtained are compared with the predictions of various nuclear models, and the mass dependence of Q2+ in the region 182 ≦ A ≦ 206 is examined.  相似文献

The one pion exchange contribution to the differentialπ ? pπ ? cross-section is calculated assuming that theππω amplitude associated with one of the vertices is described by the Veneziano formula, and that only a trivial dependence of the latter on the mass of the exchanged pion needs to be taken into account. The remaining unknown overall constant is then fixed by considering the decayω→3π. A rough comparison with preliminary data from a 16 GeV/cπ ? p experiment shows that the one pion exchange model could possibly describe the reactionπ ? pπ ? forπω masses above 1.4 GeV.  相似文献

The 3He(3He,2p)4He and 3H(3H,2n)su4He reactions are studied in a microscopic cluster model. We search for resonances in the 3He+3He and 4He + p + p channels using methods that treat the two- and three-body resonance asymptotics correctly. Our results show that the existence of a low-energy resonance or virtual state, which could influence the 7Be and 8B solar neutrino fluxes, is rather unlikely. Our calculated 3He(3He,2p)4He and 3H(3H,2n)4He cross sections are in a good general agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

The possibility that a narrow ? resonance exists, approximately degenerate in mass and width with the ?, is considered. It is shown that data on π+π? production near the ? mass, including the full set of joint moments in π+p → π+π?Δ++ as well as the moments obtained with a polarized target in π?p → π?π+n, are consistent with the existence of such a resonance. Our method, which involves a compromise two-parameter fit to the mass dependence of some moments and the mass-averaged values of all moments, indicates that a broad ? with a slowly varying phase shift and a rather low mass, 600 MeV, also fits the data. However, the two solutions could be distinguished by accurate measurements of the mass dependence of some moments, using existing data on π+p → π+π?Δ++, and the existence (or non-existence) of a narrow ? clearly demonstrated.  相似文献

Rotational analysis of the (0,0) band of the B2Σ-X2Σ transition of ScS is reported. Spectrographic illustration of a hyperfine coupling transition in the ground state is demonstrated for the first time. This enables an order of magnitude to be obtained for γ″ (~0.003 cm?1). The results for the other constants were: X state: B″ = 0.1971 cm?1, D″ = 5 × 10?8cm?1, 4b = 0.23 cm?1 (equal to that for ScO within the limits of measurement uncertainty); B state: B′ = 0.1853 cm?1, D′ = 6 × 10?8cm?1, γ′ = ?0.0594 cm?1, which can be compared with pA2Π = 0.060 cm?1. It was found that the two excited states A2Π and B2Σ constitute an excellent example of pure precession (ppp = 0.058 cm?1, and this enables the vibrational levels of A2Π to be numbered.  相似文献

The decaysK +???? + e + e ?,K S???? 0 e + e ? andK L???? 0 e + e ? are reinvestigated within the framework of chiral perturbation theory. The counterterms induced by strong, electromagnetic and weak interactions are determined assuming the resonance exchange. The weak deformation model, the factorization model and the largeN c limit are used to create a weak Lagrangian. It is found that the results of the first two approaches depend on theH 1 coupling, defined in the effective chiral Lagrangian of theO(p 4) order. The set of parameters used in the extended Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model can accommodeteK +???? + e + e ? decay rate within the factorization approach. The CP violatingK L???? 0 e + e ? decay rate is discussed.  相似文献

We point out that the intersection of the Berkeley-SLAC and Saclay signs of πN→?N resonant amplitudes are consistent with ?-broken SU(6)W if both the 70, LP = 1?and 56, LP = 2+ multiplets choose anti-SU(6)W solutions. The symmetry scheme still fails in that the πN→πΔ relative signs require an SU(6)W-like solution for the 56, LP = 2+. This failure however now rests on a single incorrect sign prediction among all N? and Δπ amplitudes.  相似文献
