Diorganotin(IV) dipyrazolinates of the type R2Sn(C15H12N2OX)2 [where C15H12N2OX = 3(2′‐Hydroxyphenyl)‐5(4‐X‐phenyl)pyrazoline {where X = H ( a ); CH3 ( b ); OCH3 ( c ); Cl ( d ) and R = Me, Prn and Ph}] have been synthesized by the reaction of R2SnCl2 with sodium salt of pyrazolines in 1:2 molar ratio, in anhydrous benzene. These newly synthesized derivatives have been characterized by elemental analysis (C, H, N, Cl and Sn), molecular weight measurement as well as spectral [IR and multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn)] studies. The bidentate behaviour of the pyrazoline ligands was confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectral data. A distorted trans‐octahedral structure around tin(IV) atom for R2Sn(C15H12N2OX)2 has been suggested. The free pyrazoline and diorganotin(IV) dipyrazolinates have also been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Some diorganotin(IV) dipyrazolinates exhibit higher antibacterial and antifungal effect than free ligand and some of the antibiotics. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of neodymium(III) and samarium(III) complexes of type [Ln(L)Cl(H2O)3] have been synthesized with Schiff bases (LH2) derived from 3‐(phenyl/substituted phenyl)‐4‐amino‐5‐mercapto‐1,2,4‐triazoles and isatin. The structures of the complexes were established using elemental analysis, molar conductivities, magnetic moments, infrared, NMR (1H, 13C) and UV–visible spectra, X‐ray diffraction and mass spectrometry. The thermal behaviour of these compounds under non‐isothermal conditions was investigated using thermogravimetry and differential thermogravimetry. The intermediates obtained at the end of various thermal decomposition steps were identified from elemental analysis and infrared spectral studies. All the ligands and their complexes were also screened for their antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis and antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus and Colletotrichum capsici. Reported in this contribution are the synthesis and crystal structures of two new FeIII complexes of 5,5,7,12,12,14‐hexamethyl‐1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane (HMC), namely, dichlorido(5,5,7,12,12,14‐hexamethyl‐1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane)iron(III) chloride, [FeCl2(C16H36N4)]Cl or cis‐[FeCl2(rac‐HMC)]Cl ( 1 ), and dichlorido(5,5,7,12,12,14‐hexamethyl‐1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane)iron(III) tetrachloridoferrate, [FeCl2(C16H36N4)][FeCl4] or trans‐[FeCl2(meso‐HMC)][FeCl4] ( 2 ). Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies revealed that both 1 and 2 adopt a pseudo‐octahedral geometry, where the macrocycles adopt folded and planar geometries, respectively. The chloride ligands in 1 are cis to each other, while those in 2 have a trans configuration. The relevant bond angles in 1 deviate substantially from an ideal octahedral coordination geometry, with the angles between the cis substituents varying from 81.55 (5) to 107.56 (4)°, and those between the trans‐ligating atoms varying from 157.76 (8) to 170.88 (3)°. In contrast, 2 adopts a less strained configuration, in which the N—Fe—N angles vary from 84.61 (8) to 95.39 (8)° and the N—Fe—Cl angles vary from 86.02 (5) to 93.98 (5)°.  相似文献

A new tetradentate tetraaza ligand was prepared via Schiff-base condensation of 3,4-diaminotoluene with 2,3-butandione monoxime in aqueous solution. This ligand coordinates cobalt(III) through nitrogen donors in equatorial positions with loss of one oxime proton with concomitant formation of an intramolecular hydrogen bond. A series of cobalt(III) complexes, [CoLX2] (X?=?Cl?, Br?, or I?), [SCNCoLBr], [CNCoLBr], [BF2CoLBr], and [YCoLBr]ClO4 (Y?=?pyridine, thiophene, triphenylphosphine, or n-pentylamine), was synthesized. The compounds were characterized based on the elemental analysis (C, H, N), electrical conductance, magnetic moment measurements, and spectral studies (IR, 1H NMR, and UV-Vis). Thermal stabilities of representative complexes were examined by using thermal analysis (TGA and DTG). The reported complexes are d6 low-spin diamagnetic and a distorted octahedral environment was proposed. All complexes undergo tetragonal distortion as evidenced by splitting of 1T1g and 1T2g levels of the pseudo-octahedral symmetry. The ligand field parameters such as DqE , DqA , and the tetragonal splitting Dt have been computed and correlated with the nature of the coordinated axial ligands. The reported cobalt(III) complexes exhibit promising catalytic activity toward aerobic oxidation of ascorbic acid to the corresponding dehydroascorbic acid. The oxidase catalytic activity is linked to both the tetragonal splitting parameter Dt and the Lewis-acidity of cobalt(III) created by the nature of the coordinated axial ligands. The probable mechanistic implications of the catalytic oxidation reactions are discussed.  相似文献

New Sm(III) and Gd(III) complexes of deprotonated 4-hydroxy-3[1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-oxobutyl]-2H-1-benzopyran-2-one (Acenocoumarol) were synthesized and characterized using FT-IR, FT-Raman, NMR spectra, and elemental analyses. The vibrational study gave evidence for the coordination of ligand to lanthanide ions. The ligand and its lanthanide(III) complexes were tested for their cytotoxic/cytostatic activity against two tumor cell lines and peritoneal mouse macrophages. The Sm(III) and Gd(III) complexes exhibit good activity against melanoma B16 and fibrosarcoma L929 and are stronger inhibitors of tumor cell proliferation than the ligand. Besides their cytotoxicity to tumor cells, Acenocoumarol and its gadolinium(III) and samarium(III) complexes modulate NO generation in activated macrophages.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of Ru (II) terpyridine complexes derived from 4′ functionalized 2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine (tpy) ligands are reported. The heteroleptic complexes comprise the synthesized ligands 4′‐(2‐thienyl)‐ 2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine) or (4′‐(3,4‐dimethoxyphenyl)‐2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine and (dimethyl 5‐(pyrimidin‐5‐yl)isophthalate). The new complexes [Ru(4′‐(2‐thienyl)‐2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine)(5‐(pyrimidin‐5‐yl)‐isophthalic acid)Cl2] ( 9 ), [Ru(4′‐(3,4‐dimethoxyphenyl)‐2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine)(5‐(pyrimidin‐5‐yl)‐isophthalic acid)Cl2] ( 10 ), and [Ru(4′‐(2‐thienyl)‐2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine)(5‐(pyrimidin‐5‐yl)‐isophthalic acid)(NCS)2] ( 11 ) were characterized by 1H‐ and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy, C, H, N, and S elemental analysis, UPLC‐ESI‐MS, TGA, FT‐IR, and UV‐Vis spectroscopy. The biological activities of the synthesized ligands and their Ru (II) complexes as anti‐inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anticancer agents were evaluated. Furthermore, the toxicity of the synthesized compounds was studied and compared with the standard drugs, namely, diclofenac potassium and ibuprofen, using hemolysis assay. The results indicated that the ligands and the complex 9 possess superior anti‐inflammatory activities inhibiting albumin denaturation (89.88–100%) compared with the standard drugs (51.5–88.37%) at a concentration of 500 μg g?1. These activities were related to the presence of the chelating N‐atoms in the ligands and the exchangeable chloro‐ groups in the complex. Moreover, the chloro‐ and thiophene groups in complex 9 produce a higher anticancer activity compared with its isothiocyanate derivative in the complex 11 and the 3,4‐dimethoxyphenyl moiety in complex 10 . Considering the toxicity results, the synthesized ligands are nontoxic or far less toxic compared with the standard drugs and the metal complexes. Therefore, these newly synthesized compounds are promising anti‐inflammatory agents in addition to their moderate unique broad antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Summary The iron(III) complexes with sulphathiazole, sulphamethoxazole, sulphadiazine, sulphapyridine and sulphadimidine having the stoichiometric ratio 1:2 (metal:ligand) were prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, conductivity measurements and electronic absorption spectra. The infrared spectra of the complexes revealed that the terminal amino group of the sulpha molecules is not involved in coordination. Similarities in the position of iron-nitrogen and iron-oxygen stretching modes indicate identical configuration of the complexes prepared. Conductivity measurements showed that they are nonelectrolytes. X-ray powder diffraction patterns showed that two of them are crystalline and others are amorphous. Electron spin resonance and iron-57 Mössbauer measurements indicated that the complexes contain high-spin Fe3+ species. Thermogravimetric analyses showed that all complexes contain coordinated water which is lost at 141–160°C. All the complexes proved to possess higher bacteriostatic activity than the corresponding ligand.
Synthese und Charakterisierung von High-Spin Eisen(III)-Sulfapräparate-Komplexen und ihre biologische Aktivität
Zusammenfassung Es wurden die (Metall:Ligand) 1:2 Eisen(III)-Komplexe von Sulfathiazol, Sulfamethoxazol, Sulfapyridin und Sulfadimidin hergestellt und mittels Elementaranalyse, Leitfähigkeitsmessungen und Elektronenabsorptionsspektroskopie charakterisiert. Die IR-Spektren der Komplexe zeigten, daß die Amino-Gruppen der Sulfa-Moleküle nicht an der Koordination beteiligt sind. Ähnlichkeiten im Bereich der Eisen-Stickstoff- und Eisen-Sauerstoff-Streckschwingungen zeigten idente Konfiguration der Komplexe an. Leitfähigkeitsmessungen beweisen den Nichtelektrolytcharakter. Röntgen-Pulverdiagramme zeigten, daß zwei der Komplexe kristallin, die anderen hingegen amorph waren. High-Spin Eisen(III)-Spezies wurden mittels Elektrononspinresonanz und Eisen-57-Mössbauer-Messungen nachgewiesen. Die thermogravimetrische Analyse zeigte, daß alle Komplexe koordiniertes Wasser enthielten, das zwischen 141 und 160°C verloren wurde. Alle Komplexe zeigten eine höhere bakteriostatische Aktivität als die entsprechenden Liganden allein.

A samarium(III) complex (SmAOA) of 5‐aminoorotic acid (HAOA) was synthesized by reaction of the respective inorganic salt and ligand in a molar ratio of 1:3. The structure of the complex was determined by means of elemental analysis and UV–visible, NMR, Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) and FT Raman spectroscopies. Significant differences in the FT‐IR and FT Raman spectra of the complex were observed as compared to the spectra of the free ligand. Detailed vibrational analysis of HAOA and Sm(III)–AOA systems revealed that the binding mode in the complex was bidentate through the carboxylic oxygen atoms. The newly synthesized SmAOA showed antioxidant properties. The antioxidant activities of both HAOA and SmAOA were related to their electron donor properties. Five new chloranilato-bridged binuclear chromium (III) complexes have been synthesized and identified as [Cr2(CA)L4]-(ClO4)4[L denotes 5-methyl-1,10-phenanthroline (Me-phen); 2,9-dimethyl-1, 10-phenanthroline ( Me2-phen); 5-chloro-1,10-phenanthroline(Cl-phen); diaminoethane (en) or 1,3-diaminopropane (pn)], where CA represents the dianion of chloranilic acid. Based on elemental analyses, molar conductivity and magnetic moment of room-temperature measurements, and IR and electronic spectral studies, it is proposed that these complexes have CA-bridged structures and consist of two chromium (III) ions, each in an octahedral environment. The complexes [Cr2(CA)(Me-phen)4](ClO4)4(1) and [Cr2(CA)(Me2-phen)4](ClO4)4(2) were further characterized by variable temperature (4.2-300 K) magnetic susceptibility measurements and the observed data were successfully simulated by the equation based on the spin Hamiltonian operator, , giving the exchange parameter J = -7.8 cm-1 for (1) and J= -6.5 cm*1 for (2). Fourteen new diorganotin(IV) complexes of N‐(5‐halosalicylidene)‐α‐amino acid, R′2Sn(5‐X‐2‐OC6H3CH?NCHRCOO) (where X = Cl, Br; R = H, Me, i‐Pr; R′ = n‐Bu, Ph, Cy), were synthesized by the reactions of diorganotin halides with potassium salt of N‐(5‐halosalicylidene)‐α‐amino acid and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectra. The crystal structures of Bu2Sn(5‐Cl‐2‐OC6H3CH?NCH(i‐Pr)COO) and Ph2Sn(5‐Br‐2‐OC6H3CH?NCH(i‐Pr)COO) were determined by X‐ray single‐crystal diffraction and showed that the tin atoms are in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry and form five‐ and six‐membered chelate rings with the tridentate ligand. Bioassay results of a few compounds indicated that the compounds have strong cytotoxic activity against three human tumour cell lines, i.e. HeLa, CoLo205 and MCF‐7, and the activity decreased in the order Cy>n‐Bu>Ph for the R′ group bound to tin. A series of three new ruthenium(III) bipyridine complexes, [RuCl3(bipy)L] (L = C6H5CHO (Ru1), 4‐CH3OC6H4CHO (Ru2) and 4‐NO2C6H4CHO (Ru3); bipy = 2,2′‐bipyridine), have been synthesized and characterized using microanalysis, magnetic, spectroscopic (IR, UV–visible, electron spin resonance) and cyclic voltammetric techniques. All the ruthenium(III) complexes were found to be stable, paramagnetic and octahedrally coordinated. Electron spin resonance spectra showed an axial symmetry and indicated a tetragonal distortion for the octahedral complexes. All complexes were tested for their cytotoxicities against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC), superoxide dismutase‐like activities and cytoprotective effects of normal human red blood cells against photo‐irradiation. All the compounds were found to be cytotoxic with half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) against EAC at concentrations of 70, 90 and 76 µg for Ru1, Ru2 and Ru3, respectively. Moreover, mean levels of DNA and RNA were significantly elevated in liver tissues of tumorized animals and significantly reduced after treatment of tumorized mice with the complexes. The bulk polycondensation of L ‐aspartic acid (ASP) with an acid catalyst under batch and continuous conditions was established as a preparative method for producing poly(succinimide) (PSI). Although sulfuric acid, p‐toluenesulfonic acid, and methanesulfonic acid were effective at producing PSI in a high conversion of ASP, o‐phosphoric acid was the most suitable catalyst for yielding PSI with a high weight‐average molecular weight (Mw) in a quantitative conversion; that is, the Mw value was 24,000. For the continuous process using a twin‐screw extruder at 3.0 kg · h−1 of the ASP feed rate, the conversion was greater than 99%, and the Mw value was 23,000 for the polycondensation with 10 wt % o‐phosphoric acid at 260°C. Sodium polyaspartate (PASP‐Na) originating from the acid‐catalyzed polycondensation exhibited high biodegradability and calcium‐ion‐chelating ability. The total organic carbon value was 86 ∼ 88%, and 100 g of PASP‐Na chelated with 5.5 ∼ 5.6 g of calcium ion, which was similar to the value for PASP‐Na from the acid‐catalyzed polycondensation with a mixed solvent © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Abstract

A series of six new mononuclear Schiff base complexes, 16 of cobalt(III) of the general formula, [CoLX] or its adduct with methanol, is reported. The pentadentate Schiff base ligand (H2L) was obtained by the condensation of N-(3-aminopropyl)-N-methylpropane-1,3-diamine with 1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone (H2L1) or 1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)propan-1-one (H2L2). X stands for the pseudohalides, N3, N(CN)2? , and NCS. The complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of equimolar amounts of cobalt(II) nitrate with H2L1 or H2L2 in the presence of the respective pseudohalide in methanol medium. All the complexes have been characterized by microanalytical, spectroscopic, single crystal XRD (except 3), and other physicochemical studies. Structural studies reveal that the central Co(III) ion in 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 adopts a distorted octahedral geometry with a CoN4O2 chromophore. Weak intermolecular H-bonding and/or π-interactions are operative in these complexes to bind the molecular units. The antimicrobial activity of all the complexes and their constituent Schiff bases has been tested against some common bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

A series of novel soluble pyridazinone‐ or pyridazine‐containing poly(arylene ether)s were prepared by a polycondensation reaction. The pyridazinone monomer, 6‐(4‐hydroxyphenyl)pyridazin‐3(2H)‐one ( 1 ), was synthesized from the corresponding acetophenone and glyoxylic acid in a simple one‐pot reaction. The pyridazinone monomer was successfully copolymerized with bisphenol A (BPA) or 1,2‐dihydro‐4‐(4‐hydroxyphenyl)phthalazin‐1(2H)‐one (DHPZ) and bis(4‐fluorophenyl)sulfone to form high‐molecular‐weight polymers. The copolymers had inherent viscosities of 0.5–0.9 dL/g. The glass‐transition temperatures (Tg's) of the copolymers synthesized with BPA increased with increasing content of the pyridazinone monomer. The Tg's of the copolymers synthesized from DHPZ with different pyridazinone contents were similar to those of the two homopolymers. The homopolymers showed Tg's from 202 to 291 °C by differential scanning calorimetry. The 5% weight loss temperatures in nitrogen measured by thermogravimetric analysis were in the range of 411–500 °C. 4‐(6‐Chloropyridazin‐3‐yl)phenol ( 2 ) was synthesized from 1 via a simple one‐pot reaction. 2 was copolymerized with 4,4′‐isopropylidenediphenol and bis(4‐fluorophenyl)sulfone to form high‐Tg polymers. The copolymers with less than 80 mol % pyridazinone or chloropyridazine monomers were soluble in chlorinated solvents such as chloroform. The copolymers with higher pyridazinone contents and homopolymers were not soluble in chlorinated solvents but were still soluble in dipolar aprotic solvents such as N‐methylpyrrolidinone. Diphenyltin(IV) complexes of N‐(3,5‐dibromosalicylidene)‐α‐amino acid, Ph2Sn[3,5‐Br2‐2‐OC6H2 CH?NCH(R)COO] (where R = H, Me, i‐Pr, Bz), and their 1:1 adducts with diphenyltin dichloride, Ph2Sn[3,5‐Br2‐2‐OC6H2CH?NCH(R)COO]·Ph2SnCl2, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectra. The crystal structure of Ph2Sn[3,5‐Br2‐2‐OC6H2CH?NCH(i‐Pr)COO] shows a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry with the axial locations occupied by a carboxylate–oxygen and a phenolic–oxygen atom of the ligand, and that of Ph2Sn[3,5‐Br2‐2‐OC6H2CH?NCH(i‐Pr)COO]·Ph2SnCl2 reveals that the two tin atoms are joined via the carbonyl atom of the ligand to form a mixed organotin binuclear complex. Bioassay indicates that the compounds possess better cytotoxic activity against three human tumor cell lines (HeLa, CoLo205 and MCF‐7) than cis‐platin and moderate antibacterial activity against two bacteria (E. coli and S. aureus). A new series of twelve bidentate Schiff's base ligands (HL1–12) was synthesized via condensation of 5‐(arylazo)salicylaldehydes with aromatic amines. When the new salicylaldimine derivatives were reacted with copper(II) chloride, the neutral complexes Cu(L1–12)2 were obtained. The structure of the copper complexes was established from microanalyses, IR and UV spectra and thermal analyses. The results suggested that the ligands were coordinated to the metal ion in a bidentate manner with ON donor sites of the deprotonated phenolic‐OH and azomethine‐N. The composition of the complexes can be represented as CuL2. Evaluation of antimicrobial activity for the synthesized compounds was carried out to probe their activity. The compounds were found to have weak antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Six novel organometallic half sandwich complexes [(η5‐C5Me5)M(L1–3)Cl]Cl.2H2O were synthesized using [{(η5‐C5Me5)M(μ‐Cl)Cl2], where M = Ir (III)/Rh (III) and L1–3 = three pyridyl pyrimidine based ligands; and characterized by NMR, Infra‐red spectroscopy, conductance, elemental and thermal analysis. The complex‐DNA binding mode and/or strength evaluated using absorption titration, electrochemical studies and hydrodynamic measurement proposed intercalative binding mode, which was also confirmed by molecular docking study. Differential pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry studies indicated an alteration in oxidation and reduction potentials of complexes (M+4/M+3) in presence of CT‐DNA. The metal complexes can cleave plasmid DNA as proposed in gel electrophoretic analysis. The LC50 values of complexes evaluated on brine shrimp suggested their potent cytotoxic nature.  相似文献

Four new diorganotin(IV) complexes of N‐(5‐halosalicylidene)tryptophane, R2Sn[5‐X‐2‐OC6H3CH?NCH(CH2Ind)COO] [Ind = 3‐indolyl; R, X = Et, Cl ( 1 ); Et, Br( 2 ); n‐Bu, Cl ( 3 ); n‐Bu, Br ( 4 )], were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectra. The crystal structures of complexes 1 – 3 were determined by X‐ray single crystal diffraction and showed that the tin atoms are in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry and form five‐ and six‐membered chelate rings with the tridentate ligand. Intermolecular weak interactions in 1–3 link molecules, respectively, into a two‐dimensional array, a one‐dimensional infinite chain and a one‐dimensional double‐chain supramolecular structure. Bioassay results of the compounds indicated that the dibutyltin complexes 3 and 4 have potent in vitro cytotoxic activity against two human tumor cell lines, CoLo205 and Bcap37, while the diethyltin complexes 1 and 2 display weak cytotoxic activity. A new series of mercaptopyrimidine Ru(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized using various spectral techniques like single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and NMR spectroscopies, thermogravimetric analysis and energy‐dispersive X‐ray analysis. The complexes were evaluated for their pharmacological activities like in vitro antimicrobial, anticancer, antituberculosis and antioxidant activities. The DNA binding of the complexes was investigated by absorption and emission spectral measurements which indicated that the complexes bind to DNA via intercalation, with molecular docking studies validating the results. DNA cleavage studies of the complexes were carried out.  相似文献
