We study the phase-space properties of a charged particle in a static electromagnetic field exhibiting vortex pairs with complementary topological charges and in a pure gauge field. A stationary solution of the Schrödinger equation that minimizes the uncertainty relations for angular momentum and trigonometric functions of the phase is obtained. It does not exhibit vortices and the angular momentum is due to the gauge field only. Increasing the topological charge of the vortices increases the regions where the Wigner function in the angle–angular momentum plane takes negative values, and thus enhances the quantum character of the dynamics.  相似文献

We show that violation of the variance based local sum uncertainty relation (LSUR) for angular momentum operators of a bipartite system, proposed by Hofmann and Takeuchi [Phys. Rev. A 68 032103 (2003)], reflects entanglement in the equal bipartitions of an N-qubit symmetric state with even qubits. We establish the one-to-one connection with the violation of LSUR with negativity of covariance matrix [Phys. Lett. A 364 203 (2007)] of the two-qubit reduced system of a permutation symmetric N-qubit state.  相似文献

Traces of products of angular momentum operators in a spherical or cartesian basis are common in the theory of atomic levels in fields, in the theory of nuclear orientation and of asymmetric top moments. Conventional angular momentum techniques lead to difficult and cumbersome calculations. In the present paper Schwinger's coupled boson representation is used in straightforward calculations of angular momentum and spherical tensor traces, of matrix elements and of asymmetric top moments. Only simple algebra, elementary multiplication and summation of integers are necessary. The method considerably simplifies calculations with angular momentum operators.  相似文献

A fast computational method for approximate angular momentum projection is proposed for low-lying deformed nuclear states. The accuracy of the method is demonstrated by calculating the low-lying states of the ground-state band and the two 0+ excited bands in 168Er with good experimental comparison.  相似文献

We derive general results for the mass shift of bound states with angular momentum ?≥1 in a finite periodic volume. Our results have direct applications to lattice simulations of hadronic molecules as well as atomic nuclei. While the binding of S-wave bound states increases at finite volume, we show that the binding of P-wave bound states decreases. The mass shift for D-wave bound states as well as higher partial waves depends on the representation of the cubic rotation group. Nevertheless, the multiplet-averaged mass shift for any angular momentum ? can be expressed in a simple form, and the sign of the shift alternates for even and odd ?. We verify our analytical results with explicit numerical calculations. We also show numerically that similar volume corrections appear in three-body bound states.  相似文献

Rotational spectra, calculated by angular momentum projection from Hartree-Bogoliubov states may be completely distorted by particle number nonconservation. A simple method for correcting this is presented, which brings them close to the number projected spectra. It is also shown that by a slight modification of the usual number projection operator this projection may then be executed two times faster and with better numerical accuracy. We study the effect ofJ- and/orN projection before the variation in a constrained Hartree-Bogoliubov model. It is demonstrated that only simultaneous projection of both particle number and angular momentum before the variation is meaningful. Then a more gradual antipairing effect is found than known from previous work. We conclude however that the diagonalization of the Hamiltonian in a space of appropriately chosen generator wave functions is preferable to projection before the variation. In all cases the examples are nuclei in thesd-shell, calculated selfconsistently without separating off and inert core. The nucleon-nucleon force is the Hamada-Johnston potential.  相似文献

We present a method to efficiently sort orbital angular momentum (OAM) states of light using two static optical elements. The optical elements perform a Cartesian to log-polar coordinate transformation, converting the helically phased light beam corresponding to OAM states into a beam with a transverse phase gradient. A subsequent lens then focuses each input OAM state to a different lateral position. We demonstrate the concept experimentally by using two spatial light modulators to create the desired optical elements, applying it to the separation of eleven OAM states.  相似文献

A generalized model of a double-wedge phase element containing two side-by-side parallel phase ramps with arbitrary slope angles is proposed. We study the diffracted optical field of a double-wedge element in terms of orbital angular momentum states. Analytical calculations reveal how the radius and position of the illuminating laser beam affect the composition of orbital angular momentum generated by the phase wedges.  相似文献

A polynomial expansion of Löwdins projection operator is found to be suitable for state by state angular momentum projection using the techniques of the Lanczos algorithm. 设计了一个基于两个正交的光子轨道角动量态的量子密码通信方案.在该方案中,Alice使用具有独特设计的激光器,随机发送有确定轨道角动量的光子;Bob采用由两个达夫棱镜组成的光束旋转器,对光子的轨道角动量态进行测量.对系统安全性的讨论表明,Eve采用截获重发、攻击单臂等攻击手段,其窃听行为都会被发现.理论证明,该方案不需要通信双方实时监测和调整参考系,同时避免了BB84,B92协议因发送基和测量基不一致而丢弃一半信息的问题,从而提高了密钥生成效率. 关键词: 量子保密通信 轨道角动量  相似文献
