A Lie module algebra for a Lie algebra L is an algebra and L-module A such that L acts on A by derivations. The depth Lie algebra of a Lie algebra L with Lie module algebra A acts on a corresponding depth Lie module algebra . This determines a depth functor from the category of Lie module algebra pairs to itself. Remarkably, this functor preserves central simplicity. It follows that the Lie algebras corresponding to faithful central simple Lie module algebra pairs (A,L) with A commutative are simple. Upon iteration at such (A,L), the Lie algebras are simple for all i ∈ ω. In particular, the (i ∈ ω) corresponding to central simple Jordan Lie algops (A,L) are simple Lie algebras. Let G be an abelian group, ε an anti-bicharacter of G and L a G-graded ε Lie algebra (color Lie algebra) over a field of characteristic zero. We prove that for all G-graded, positively filtered A such that the associated graded algebra is isomorphic to the G-graded ε-symmetric algebra S(L), there is a G- graded ε-Lie algebra L and a G-graded scalar two cocycle , such that A is isomorphic to U ω (L) the generalized enveloping algebra of L associated with ω. We also prove there is an isomorphism of graded spaces between the Hochschild cohomology of the generalized universal enveloping algebra U(L) and the generalized cohomology of the color Lie algebra L. Highest weight representations of a Lie algebra of Block type   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
For a field F of characteristic zero and an additive subgroup G of F, a Lie algebra B(G) of the Block type is defined with the basis {Lα,i, c|α∈G, -1≤i∈Z} and the relations [Lα,i,Lβ,j] = ((i 1)β- (j 1)α)Lα β,i j αδα,-βδi j,-2c,[c, Lα,i] = 0. Given a total order (?) on G compatible with its group structure, and anyα∈B(G)0*, a Verma B(G)-module M(A, (?)) is defined, and the irreducibility of M(A,(?)) is completely determined. Furthermore, it is proved that an irreducible highest weight B(Z )-module is quasifinite if and only if it is a proper quotient of a Verma module.  相似文献

UniversalC*-algebrasC*(A) exist for certain topological *-algebras called algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. A Frechet *-algebraA has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if every operator representation ofA mapsA into bounded operators. This is proved by showing that every unbounded operator representation π, continuous in the uniform topology, of a topological *-algebraA, which is an inverse limit of Banach *-algebras, is a direct sum of bounded operator representations, thereby factoring through the enveloping pro-C*-algebraE(A) ofA. Given aC*-dynamical system (G,A,α), any topological *-algebraB containingC c (G,A) as a dense *-subalgebra and contained in the crossed productC*-algebraC*(G,A,α) satisfiesE(B) =C*(G,A,α). IfG = ℝ, ifB is an α-invariant dense Frechet *-subalgebra ofA such thatE(B) =A, and if the action α onB ism-tempered, smooth and by continuous *-automorphisms: then the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,B,α) satisfiesE(S(ℝ,B,α)) =C*(ℝ,A,α). WhenG is a Lie group, theC -elementsC (A), the analytic elementsC ω(A) as well as the entire analytic elementsC є(A) carry natural topologies making them algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. Given a non-unitalC*-algebraA, an inductive system of idealsI α is constructed satisfyingA =C*-ind limI α; and the locally convex inductive limit ind limI α is anm-convex algebra with theC*-enveloping algebraA and containing the Pedersen idealK a ofA. Given generatorsG with weakly Banach admissible relationsR, we construct universal topological *-algebraA(G, R) and show that it has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if (G, R) isC*-admissible.  相似文献

For a continuous, increasing function ω: R → R \{0} of finite exponential type, this paper introduces the set Z(A, ω) of all x in a Banach space X for which the second order abstract differential equation (2) has a mild solution such that [ω(t)]-1u(t,x) is uniformly continues on R , and show that Z(A, ω) is a maximal Banach subspace continuously embedded in X, where A ∈ B(X) is closed. Moreover, A|z(A,ω) generates an O(ω(t))strongly continuous cosine operator function family.  相似文献

Let G be a locally compact group with a weight function ω. Recently, we have shown that the Banach space L0 (G,1/ω) can be identified with the strong dual of L1(G, ω)equipped with some locally convex topologies τ. Here we use this duality to introduce an Arens multiplication on (L1(G, ω), τ)**, and prove that the topological center of (L1(G, ω), τ)** is (L1(G, ω); this enables us to conclude that (L1(G, ω), τ) is Arens regular if and only if G is discrete. We also give a characterization for Arens regularity of L0 (G, 1/ω)1. Received: 8 March 2005  相似文献

For an additive subgroup G of a field F of characteristic zero, a Lie algebra B(G) of Block type is defined with basis {Lα,i| α∈G, i∈Z+} and relations [Lα,i, Lβ,j] = (β-α)Lα+β,i+j+(αj-βi)Lα+β,Lα+β,i+j-1.It is proved that an irreducible highest weight B(Z)-module is quasifinite if and only if it is a proper quotient of a Verma module. Let $ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} be a locally compact semigroup, ω be a weight function on $ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , and M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω) be the weighted semigroup algebra of $ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} . Let L 0 ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} ; M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω)) be the C*-algebra of all M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω)-measurable functions g on $ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} such that g/ω vanishes at infinity. We introduce and study a strict topology β 1($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω) on M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω) and show that the Banach space L 0 ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} ; M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω)) can be identified with the dual of M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω) endowed with β 1($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω). We finally investigate some properties of the locally convex topology β 1($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω) on M a ($ \mathfrak{S} $ \mathfrak{S} , ω).  相似文献

It is known that the Lerch zeta-function L(λ, α, s) with transcendental parameter α is universal in the Voronin sense; i.e., every analytic function can be approximated by shifts L(λ, α, s + ) uniformly on compact subsets of some region. In this paper, the universality for some classes of composite functions F(L(λ, α, s)) is obtained. In particular, general theorems imply the universality of the functions sin(L(λ, α, s)) and sinh(L(λ, α, s)).  相似文献

Let V be an r-dimensional vector space over an infinite field F of prime characteristic p, and let Ln(V) denote the nth homogeneous component of the free Lie algebra on V. We study the structure of Ln(V) as a module for the general linear group GLr(F) when n=pk and k is not divisible by p and where rn. Our main result is an explicit 1-1 correspondence, multiplicity-preserving, between the indecomposable direct summands of Lk(V) and the indecomposable direct summands of Ln(V) which are not isomorphic to direct summands of Vn. Our approach uses idempotents of the Solomon descent algebras, and in addition a correspondence theorem for permutation modules of symmetric groups. We prove a variant of a theorem of N. Alon and V. D. Milman. Using it we construct for everyn-dimensional Banach spacesX andY a measure space Ω and two operator-valued functionsT: Ω→L(X, Y),S: Ω→L(Y, X) so that ∫Ω S(ω)oT(ω) is the identity operator inX and ∫Ω||S(ω)||·||T(ω)||dω=O(n α ) for some absolute constantα<1. We prove also that any subset of the unitn-cube which is convex, symmetric with respect to the origin and has a sufficiently large volume possesses a section of big dimension isomorphic to ak-cube. The modular Witt algebra W(p, n) and H(p, 2n) are defined on the polynomial rings Zp[x1,...,xn] and Zp[X1,...,xn, y1,...,yn] respectively. We generalize Zp[x1,...,xn] and Zp[x1,...,xn, y1,...,yn], so we get the generalized W-type and H-type modular Lie algebras. We find all the derivations of W(p, 1).AMS Subject Classification: Primary 17B40, 17B56.  相似文献

Let f: V × V → F be a totally arbitrary bilinear form defined on a finite dimensional vector space V over a field F, and let L(f) be the subalgebra of 𝔤𝔩(V) of all skew-adjoint endomorphisms relative to f. Provided F is algebraically closed of characteristic not 2, we determine all f, up to equivalence, such that L(f) is reductive. As a consequence, we find, over an arbitrary field, necessary and sufficient conditions for L(f) to be simple, semisimple or isomorphic to 𝔰𝔩(n) for some n.  相似文献

AssumeV=L. Let κ be a cardinal and forX⊆κ, n<ω let α n (X) denote the least ordinal α such thatL α[X] is Σ n admissible. In our earlier paperUncountable admissibles I: forcing, we characterized those ordinals of the form σ n (X) when κ is regular. This paper treats the singular case using Barwise compactness, an effective version of Jensen's covering lemma and β-recursion theory.  相似文献

In a previous paper (Israel J. Math.28 (1977), 313–324), it was shown that for a certain class of cardinals τ,l 1(τ) embeds in a Banach spaceX if and only ifL 1([0, 1]τ) embeds inX *. An extension (to a rather wider class of cardinals) of the basic lemma of that paper is here applied so as to yield an affirmative answer to a question posed by Rosenthal concerning dual ℒ1-spaces. It is shown that ifZ * is a dual Banach space, isomorphic to a complemented subspace of anL 1-space, and κ is the density character ofZ *, thenl 1(κ) embeds inZ *. A corollary of this result is that every injective bidual Banach space is isomorphic tol (κ) for some κ. The second part of this article is devoted to an example, constructed using the continuum hypothesis, of a compact spaceS which carries a homogeneous measure of type ω1, but which is such thatl 11) does not embed in ℰ(S). This shows that the main theorem of the already mentioned paper is not valid in the case τ = ω1. The dual space ℰ(S)* is isometric to , and is a member of a new isomorphism class of dualL 1-spaces.  相似文献
