EMBEDDING FLOWS OF DIFFEOMORPHISMS

In this paper we first survey the results on the embedding flow problem of dif-feomorphisms in higher dimensional spaces. Next we present some new results on the characterization of semi-unipotent diffeomorphisms in R3, which have a formal embedding flows.     

QUASI-LOCAL CONJUGACY THEOREMS IN BANACH SPACES

Let f : U(x0) (?) E→F be a. C1 map and f'(X0) be the Prechet derivative of /fat X0. In local analysis of nonlinear functional analysis, implicit function theorem, inverse function theorem, local surjectivity theorem, local injectivity theorem, and the local conjugacy theorem are well known. Those theorems are established by using the properties: f'(x0) is double splitting and R(f'(x))∩N(T0 ) = {0} near X0. However, in infinite dimensional Banach spaces, f'(x0) is not always double splitting (i.e., the generalized inverse of f'(xo) does not always exist), but its bounded outer inverse of f'(x0) always exists. Only using the C1 map f and the outer inverse T0# of f'(x0), the authors obtain two quasi-local conjugacy theorems, which imply the local conjugacy theorem if X0 is a locally fine point of f. Hence the quasi-local conjugacy theorems generalize the local conjugacy theorem in Banach spaces.     

论有限群元素共轭类的平均长度

本文研究有限群元素共轭类的平均长度问题.利用初等群论方法和有限群特征标理论,在共轭类平均长度为某一定数时,获得了对有限群结构的刻划,且对有限群数量性质的研究是有意义的.     

conjugacy of 1-d diffeomorphisms with periodic points

It is shown that the set of heteroclinic orbits between two periodic orbits of saddle-node type induces functional moduli which are completely contained in a new `transition map'. For one-dimensional diffeomorphisms with saddle-node periodic points, two such diffeomorphisms are conjugated if and only if the transition maps of their heteroclinic orbits are the same. An equivalent transition map is given for diffeomorphisms with hyperbolic periodic points, and it is shown that this transition map is an invariant of conjugation. However, in this case the transition map alone is sufficient to guarantee conjugacy only in a limited sense.

     

C ∞-Normal Forms of Local Vector Fields

The problem of a local classification of vector fields is considered. A construction of formal and C -normal forms is described.

Holomorphic germs and the problem of smooth conjugacy in a punctured neighborhood of the origin

We consider germs of conformal mappings tangent to the identity at the origin in . We construct a germ of a homeomorphism which is a diffeomorphism except at the origin conjugating these holomorphic germs with the time-one map of the vector field . We then show that, in the case , for a germ of a homeomorphism which is real-analytic in a punctured neighborhood of the origin, with real-analytic inverse, conjugating these germs with the time-one map of the vector field exists if and only if a germ of a biholomorphism exists.

     

SMOOTH CLASSIFICATION AND LINEARIZATION OF HYPERBOLIC VECTOR FIELDS ON R~3

This paper is devoted to studying smooth normal form theory of hyperbolic vector fields. As a continuation of our previous work on smooth classification and linearization of vector fields near a hyperbolic singular point,in this paper,we deal with the case of hyperbolic vector fields on R3 by examining all possible resonant classes.     

删失数据平滑非参数分位估计

文中在随机右删失意义下，对于未知分布函数的分位点，基于ＰＬ估计给出了一种平滑的非参数核分位估计，推导出了该估计的逐点和一致强弱Ｂａｈａｄｕｒ类型表示定理，并由此结果获得了平滑分位计的渐近正态性及重对数律等深刻结果。     

CLOSED SMOOTH SURFACE DEFINED FROM CUBIC TRIANGULAR SPLINES

In order to construct closed surfaces with continuous unit normal, we introduce a news pline space on an arbitrary closed mesh of three-sided faces. Our approach generalizes an idea of Goodman and is based on the concept of ‘Geometric continuity‘ for piecewise polynomial parametrizations. The functions in the spline space restricted to the faces are cubic triangular polynomials. A basis of the spline space is constructed of positive functions which sum to 1. It is also shown that the space is suitable for interpolating data at the midpoints of the faces。     

CONVEXITY AND SYMMETRY OF TRANSLATING SOLITONS IN MEAN CURVATURE FLOWS

This paper proves that any rotationally symmetric translating soliton of mean curvature flow in R3 is strictly convex if it is not a plane and it intersects its symmetric axis at one point. The authors also study the symmetry of any translating soliton of mean curvature flow in Rn.

一种平面保凸插值构造光滑曲线的方法

Ａ．Ｍｅｈａｕｔｅ和Ｆ．Ｕｔｒｅｒａｓ（１９９４）给出了一种平面函数型保凸插值构造光滑曲线的方法（以下简称为Ｍ－Ｕ方法）．本文在利用其方法本质的基础上，给出了一种平面上参数型保凸插值构造光滑曲线的方法，同Ｍｅｈａｕｔｅ和Ｕｔｒｅｒａｓ的方法一样，这里的方法也有局部性．另外这种方法还可以构造平面上的封闭曲线．     

D∞-APPROXIMATION OF QUADRATIC VARIATIONS OF SMOOTH ITO PROCESSES

The purpose of this paper is to prove that the quadratic variations of smooth Ito process inthe sense of Malliavin-NuaJart can he approximated in Sobolev spaces over the Wiener space by its discrete quadratic variatlons.

PATHS AND CYCLES EMBEDDING ON FAULTY ENHANCED HYPERCUBE NETWORKS

Let Qn,k(n≥3,1≤k≤n-1) be an n-dimensional enhanced hypercube which is an attractive variant of the hypercube and can be obtained by adding some complementary edges,fv and fe be the numbers of faulty vertices and faulty edges,respectively.In this paper,we give three main results.First,a fault-free path P [u,v] of length at least 2n-2fv-1(respectively,2n-2fv-2) can be embedded on Qn,k with fv+fe≤n-1 when d Qn,k(u,v) is odd(respectively,d Qn,k(u,v) is even).Secondly,an Qn,k is(n-2) edgefault-free hyper Hamiltonian-laceable when n(≥3) and k have the same parity.Lastly,a fault-free cycle of length at least 2n-2fv can be embedded on Qn,k with fe≤n-1 and fv+fe≤2n-4.     

A STOCHASTIC MOVING BALLS APPROXIMATION METHOD OVER A SMOOTH INEQUALITY CONSTRAINT

We consider the problem of minimizing the average of a large number of smooth component functions over one smooth inequality constraint. We propose and analyze a stochastic Moving Balls Approximation (SMBA) method. Like stochastic gradient (SG) methods, the SMBA method's iteration cost is independent of the number of component functions and by exploiting the smoothness of the constraint function, our method can be easily implemented. Theoretical and computational properties of SMBA are studied, and convergence results are established. Numerical experiments indicate that our algorithm dramatically outperforms the existing Moving Balls Approximation algorithm (MBA) for the structure of our problem.

ABSTRACT CAPACITY OF REGIONS AND COMPACT EMBEDDING WITH APPLICATIONS

The weighted Sobolev-Lions type spaces W pl,γ(Ω; E0, E) = W pl,γ(Ω; E) ∩ Lp,γ (Ω; E0) are studied, where E0, E are two Banach spaces and E0 is continuously and densely embedded on E. A new concept of capacity of region Ω∈ Rn in W pl,γ(; E0, E) is introduced. Several conditions in terms of capacity of region Ω and interpolations of E0 and E are found such that ensure the continuity and compactness of embedding operators. In particular, the most regular class of interpolation spaces Eα between E0 and E, depending of α and l, are found such that mixed differential operators Dα are bounded and compact from W pl,γ(Ω; E0, E) to Eα-valued Lp,γ spaces. In applications, the maximal regularity for differential-operator equations with parameters are studied.
