Summary A nonstandard construction of Lévy Brownian motion on d is presented, which extends R.M. Anderson's nonstandard representation of Brownian motion. It involves a nonstandard construction of white noise and gives as a classical corollary a new white noise integral representation of Lévy Brownian motion. Moreover, a new invariance principle can be deduced in a similar way as Donsker's invariance principles follows from Anderson's construction.  相似文献

Given a Lévy process \(\xi \), we find necessary and sufficient conditions for almost sure finiteness of the perpetual integral \(\int _0^\infty f(\xi _s)\hbox {d}s\), where \(f\) is a positive locally integrable function. If \(\mu =\mathbb {E}[\xi _1]\in (0,\infty )\) and \(\xi \) has local times we prove the 0–1 law
$$\begin{aligned} \mathbb {P}\Big (\int _0^\infty f(\xi _s)\,\hbox {d}s<\infty \Big )\in \{0,1\} \end{aligned}$$
with the exact characterization
$$\begin{aligned} \mathbb {P}\Big (\int _0^\infty f(\xi _s)\,\hbox {d}s<\infty \Big )=0\qquad \Longleftrightarrow \qquad \int ^\infty f(x)\,\hbox {d}x=\infty . \end{aligned}$$
The proof uses spatially stationary Lévy processes, local time calculations, Jeulin’s lemma and the Hewitt–Savage 0–1 law.

We prove that the definitions of the Kato class through the semigroup and through the resolvent of the Lévy process in \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\) coincide if and only if 0 is not regular for {0}. If 0 is regular for {0} then we describe both classes in detail. We also give an analytic reformulation of these results by means of the characteristic (Lévy-Khintchine) exponent of the process. The result applies to the time-dependent (non-autonomous) Kato class. As one of the consequences we obtain a simultaneous time-space smallness condition equivalent to the Kato class condition given by the semigroup.  相似文献

In this paper we present an L 2-theory for a class of stochastic partial differential equations driven by Lévy processes. The coefficients of the equations are random functions depending on time and space variables, and no smoothness assumption of the coefficients is assumed.  相似文献

Summary Let {X t } be a 1 process with stationary independent increments and its Lévy measurev be given byv{yy>x}=x –L 1 (x), v{yy<–x}=x –L 2 (x) whereL 1,L 2 are slowly varying at 0 and and 0<1. We construct two types of a nondecreasing functionh(t) depending on 0<<1 or =1 such that lim inf a.s. ast 0 andt for some positive finite constantC.This research is partialy supported by a grant from Korea University  相似文献

We develop importance sampling estimators for Monte Carlo pricing of European and path-dependent options in models driven by Lévy processes. Using results from the theory of large deviations for processes with independent increments, we compute an explicit asymptotic approximation for the variance of the pay-off under a time-dependent Esscher-style change of measure. Minimizing this asymptotic variance using convex duality, we then obtain an importance sampling estimator of the option price. We show that our estimator is logarithmically optimal among all importance sampling estimators. Numerical tests in the variance gamma model show consistent variance reduction with a small computational overhead.  相似文献

In this paper we prove Harnack inequality for nonnegative functions which are harmonic with respect to random walks in ℝ d . We give several examples when the scale invariant Harnack inequality does not hold. For any α ∈ (0,2) we also prove the Harnack inequality for nonnegative harmonic functions with respect to a symmetric Lévy process in ℝ d with a Lévy density given by $c|x|^{-d-\alpha}1_{\{|x|\leq 1\}}+j(|x|)1_{\{|x|>1\}}$c|x|^{-d-\alpha}1_{\{|x|\leq 1\}}+j(|x|)1_{\{|x|>1\}}, where 0 ≤ j(r) ≤ cr  − d − α , ∀ r > 1, for some constant c. Finally, we establish the Harnack inequality for nonnegative harmonic functions with respect to a subordinate Brownian motion with subordinator with Laplace exponent ϕ(λ) = λ α/2ℓ(λ), λ > 0, where ℓ is a slowly varying function at infinity and α ∈ (0,2).  相似文献

We give a ??small time?? functional version of Chung??s ??other?? law of the iterated logarithm for Lévy processes with non-vanishing Brownian component. This is an analogue of the ??other?? law of the iterated logarithm at ??large times?? for Lévy processes and random walks with finite variance, as extended to a functional version by Wichura. As one of many possible applications, we mention a functional law for a two-sided passage time process.  相似文献

The smooth approach to Malliavin calculus for Lévy processes in (Osswald in J. Theor. Probab., 2008) is used to study time-anticipative Girsanov transformations for a large class of Lévy processes by means of the substitution rule in finite-dimensional analysis. In this paper, we consider projection estimates for Lévy densities in high-frequency setup. We give a unified treatment for different sets of basis functions and focus on the asymptotic properties of the maximal deviation distribution for these estimates. Our results are based on the idea to reformulate the problems in terms of Gaussian processes of some special type and to further analyze these Gaussian processes. In particular, we construct a sequence of excursion sets, which guarantees the convergence of the deviation distribution to the Gumbel distribution. We show that the exact rates of convergence presented in previous articles on this topic are logarithmic and construct the sequence of accompanying laws, which approximate the deviation distribution with polynomial rate.  相似文献

Let \(B_{H}=\{B_{H}(t):t\in \mathbb R\}\) be a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H ∈ (0,1). For the stationary storage process \(Q_{B_{H}}(t)=\sup _{-\infty <s\le t}(B_{H}(t)-B_{H}(s)-(t-s))\), t ≥ 0, we provide a tractable criterion for assessing whether, for any positive, non-decreasing function f, \( {\mathbb P(Q_{B_{H}}(t) > f(t)\, \text { i.o.})}\) equals 0 or 1. Using this criterion we find that, for a family of functions f p (t), such that \(z_{p}(t)=\mathbb P(\sup _{s\in [0,f_{p}(t)]}Q_{B_{H}}(s)>f_{p}(t))/f_{p}(t)=\mathcal C(t\log ^{1-p} t)^{-1}\), for some \(\mathcal C>0\), \({\mathbb P(Q_{B_{H}}(t) > f_{p}(t)\, \text { i.o.})= 1_{\{p\ge 0\}}}\). Consequently, with \(\xi _{p} (t) = \sup \{s:0\le s\le t, Q_{B_{H}}(s)\ge f_{p}(s)\}\), for p ≥ 0, \(\lim _{t\to \infty }\xi _{p}(t)=\infty \) and \(\limsup _{t\to \infty }(\xi _{p}(t)-t)=0\) a.s. Complementary, we prove an Erdös–Révész type law of the iterated logarithm lower bound on ξ p (t), i.e., \(\liminf _{t\to \infty }(\xi _{p}(t)-t)/h_{p}(t) = -1\) a.s., p > 1; \(\liminf _{t\to \infty }\log (\xi _{p}(t)/t)/(h_{p}(t)/t) = -1\) a.s., p ∈ (0,1], where h p (t) = (1/z p (t))p loglog t.  相似文献

We consider a Lévy process reflected in barriers at 0 and K > 0. The loss rate is the mean of the local time at K at time 1 when the process is started in stationarity, and is a natural continuous-time analogue of the stationary expected loss rate for a reflected random walk. We derive asymptotics for the loss rate when K tends to infinity, when the mean of the Lévy process is negative and the positive jumps are subexponential. In the course of this derivation, we achieve a formula, which is a generalization of the celebrated Pollaczeck-Khinchine formula.  相似文献

I develop a notion of nonlinear stochastic integrals for hyperfinite Lévy processes and use it to find exact formulas for expressions which are intuitively of the form and , where l is a Lévy process. These formulas are then applied to geometric Lévy processes, infinitesimal transformations of hyperfinite Lévy processes, and to minimal martingale measures. Some of the central concepts and results are closely related to those found in S. Cohen’s work on stochastic calculus for processes with jumps on manifolds, and the paper may be regarded as a reworking of his ideas in a different setting and with totally different techniques.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze a Lévy model based on two popular concepts - subordination and Lévy copulas. More precisely, we consider a two-dimensional Lévy process such that each component is a time-changed (subordinated) Brownian motion and the dependence between subordinators is described via some Lévy copula. The main result of this paper is the series representation for our model, which can be efficiently used for simulation purposes.  相似文献

In this paper, we assume that the surplus of an insurer follows a L暍y risk process and the insurer would invest its surplus in a risky asset, whose prices are modeled by a geometric Brownian motion. It is shown that the ruin probabilities (by a jump or by oscillation) of the resulting surplus process satisfy certain integro-differential equations.  相似文献
