A high-resolution diode laser spectrometer operating at 657 nm is described. To achieve a narrow linewidth and a high power, a master-slave laser system is employed. The master laser is an extended cavity diode laser whose linewidth is reduced to less than 100 Hz by the FM sideband technique. The slave laser is an AR-coated diode laser and characteristics of injection locking are experimentally studied. The injection current of the slave laser is utilized to stabilize the output power or to produce pulsed output. Using this spectrometer, we probed the intercombination line of Ca and observed high-contrast optical Ramsey fringes with a linewidth of 10 kHz. A velocity-selective Ramsey fringe is also observed in the pulse-mode operation.  相似文献

Optical feedback from a high-finesse V-resonator, developed for this study, results in efficient coupling with an extended cavity diode laser, stabilizing its emission frequency and strongly decreasing the laser linewidth. This in turn enhances resonator output power, thus increasing the signal-to-noise ratio when used for the detection of gas phase species by absorption spectroscopy. This effect was directly measured by heterodyning two extended cavity diode lasers at a wavelength of 409 nm with and without the influence of optical feedback from a high-finesse V-resonator. The heterodyne signal of freely running lasers is composed of a set of sharp peaks whose envelope shows a width on the order of 4.5 MHz at a sweep rate of 80 MHz/0.8 s, leading to a laser linewidth of 3 MHz. Optical feedback from the high-finesse V-resonator reduces the heterodyne signal to a single peak with a mean width of 10 kHz, leading to a laser linewidth of 7 kHz. This is the lowest value of linewidth, reported thus far, for diode lasers operating in this wavelength region.  相似文献

针对中心波长780 nm的商用连续波半导体激光器,使用斩波器将连续激光变为脉冲输出形式,用2400 line/mm的平面全息光栅搭建Littrow外腔将线宽压窄至0.2 nm以下。采用透镜组对线宽压窄后的半导体激光进行光束整形,半导体激光经线宽压窄和光束整形后,经透镜聚焦进长约8 mm的铷蒸气泡进行半导体泵浦碱金属激光实验。首次出光得到17.5 mW的基模线偏振铷激光;在最新的改进实验中,半导体泵浦铷激光输出功率已达到2.8 W。  相似文献

A KGd(WO?)? Raman laser was pumped within the cavity of a cw diode-pumped InGaAs semiconductor disk laser (SDL). The Raman laser threshold was reached for 5.6 W of absorbed diode pump power, and output power up to 0.8 W at 1143 nm, with optical conversion efficiency of 7.5% with respect to the absorbed diode pump power, was demonstrated. Tuning the SDL resulted in tuning of the Raman laser output between 1133 and 1157 nm.  相似文献

Narrow linewidth, single spectral mode operation has been obtained in a high power, 810 nm broad-area diode laser in an extended cavity configuration with a grating as external reflector (grating feedback). For stable operation it was necessary to misalign the feedback slightly in the plane of the laser junction. Characteristics of the thus obtained laser system are a linewidth below 5 MHz, an output intensity of about 50% of the free running power, a large-scale tuning range of 15 nm and continuous scanning over 4 GHz. In the spatial domain, the laser remains multimode and astigmatic. To show the practical applicability of this system, saturated absorption of a krypton line is demonstrated.  相似文献

A high-power double-clad Tm-doped silica fiber laser, pumped by two beam-shaped and polarization-coupled diode bars at 787 nm, was wavelength tuned by use of an external cavity containing a diffraction grating. The Tm fiber laser produced a maximum output power of 7 W at 1940 nm for 40 W of incident diode power and was tuned over a wavelength range of 230 nm from 1860 to 2090 nm, with >5-W output power over the range 1870-2040 nm. The prospects for further improvement in performance and extension of the tuning range are discussed.  相似文献

We demonstrate a technique for single transverse mode operation of high-power broad area laser diode (BAL). In the experiment, the HR mirror is used as an external cavity mirror and the grating is used as a wavelength selective component. By tiling the HR mirror and the grating, the number of transverse modes oscillating in the cavity can be limited and the spectral bandwidth of the laser diode can be reduced. A single-lobed near diffraction-limited laser beam with the beam divergence (FWHM) of 0.43°, the spectral line-width of 0.7 nm and the output power of 350 mW are obtained. With the feedback, the power density of the output laser beam is increased 6 times in comparison with the free running.  相似文献

Performance characteristics of power build-up cavity (PBC) as the light source of a Raman spectroscopy based gas sensor were studied. The key parameter to optimize stable and high intra-cavity power operation was beam diameter of the back reflected beam from external cavity to diode laser. The optimum diameter determined by an appropriate distance between the cavity and diode laser was found to be comparable with the waveguide cross section of diode laser for the effective spatial filtering, where inevitable cavity coupling loss caused by slight spatial mode mismatching existed. A PBC with a finesse of ∼10300 achieved a stable TEM00 mode in excess of intra-cavity power of 80 watts pumped by a 10 milliwatts diode laser. Simultaneously, the PBC wavelength is found to be passively locked effectively at 670 +/− 0.15 nm where the center of the gain region exists. A Raman spectrum of nitrogen measurement was demonstrated.  相似文献

Efficient second-harmonic generation of continuous-wave Yb fiber lasers is reported. A simple bow-tie external resonant cavity incorporating a type I LBO nonlinear optical crystal was employed for second harmonic frequency conversion of a multi-longitudinal-mode Yb fiber laser. It is shown that strong coupling was formed between the Yb fiber laser and the external cavity and, as a result, the laser produced 9.1 W of green output at 535 nm for 43?W of absorbed diode pump power at 975 nm corresponding to an optical conversion efficiency of 21?% with respect to absorbed diode pump power. The prospects for further improvement are discussed.  相似文献

We report on an extended cavity diode laser for operation near 640 nm. The laser is continuously tunable in 10 GHz ranges with a maximum output power of 3 mW. The laser system has been constructed using off-the-shelf optoelectronic components and easily machinable mechanical parts. The constructed system has been used to study the saturated absorption of the closed 1s5–2p9 neon transition in a radio-frequency discharge that can be maintained at neon pressures down to 10−2 Pa.  相似文献

 笑脸效应严重制约大功率半导体激光器输出谱宽压窄。为避免笑脸效应,以中心波长780 nm单宽面源大功率半导体激光器为研究对象,利用利特曼外腔结构,优化外腔参数,在激光器自由运转19 W时,获得11.5 W、外腔效率达61%的窄线宽输出。将窄线宽输出激光通过长25 cm, 80 kPa乙烷、110 ℃的铷池,96.7%的泵浦光被吸收,通过与理论模型对比,推断半导体激光器的输出谱宽为15 GHz(0.03 nm)。  相似文献

We have developed the master/slave/slave laser spectrometer in the blue-wavelength region. It comprises a master/slave laser combination coupled with a second-harmonic generation (SHG) enhancement cavity and a SHG-injected blue diode laser. The total power of 30 mW was obtained and the spectral characteristics and power were measured. Excluding the power of the satellite longitudinal mode of a slave/slave laser, the total power of 422.791 nm light which can be used for the magnetooptic trap for Ca was 25.5 mW.  相似文献

设计了用于脉冲功率装置的4 MV水介质同轴 三平板型输出开关。该脉冲功率装置将由24路相同的独立模块组成,每路模块由Marx发生器、中间储能器、激光触发气体开关、脉冲形成线、水介质脉冲输出开关、脉冲传输线等组成。水介质脉冲输出开关是同轴 三平板结构水介质多通道自击穿开关,由输入输出电极、预脉冲屏蔽板和连接部件组成。进行了有预脉冲屏蔽板结构和无预脉冲屏蔽板结构的自击穿水开关实验研究。有预脉冲屏蔽板结构开关的输入、输出电极都是半球电极,直径分别是8 cm和5 cm;无预脉冲屏蔽板结构开关为针 板结构,输入电极为平板电极,输出电极为直径3 cm的电极棒。Marx发生器充电70 kV,开关的击穿电压为3 MV,放电电流为450 kA。在3 MV等级的击穿电压下,有预脉冲屏蔽板结构开关的抖动约6 ns,没有预脉冲屏蔽板结构开关的抖动减小至3 ns。  相似文献

We report on the single-longitudinal-mode Tm:YAG laser with a volume Bragg grating pumped by laser diode at room temperature. The maximum SLM power of 142 mW was achieved under incident pump power of 3.22 W. The central wavelength was 2012.6 nm accords with the resonant wavelength of the VBG. Three cavity lengths were used to achieve high efficiency and clear spectrum. The maximum output power were measured to be 450.5, 451.4, and 457.3 mW at incident pump power of 3.22 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 17.1, 16.9, and 16.7% for the cavity length of 30, 40, and 50 mm, respectively. 40 mm cavity length having the cleanest spectrum among the three was used for SLM laser with one 1 mm F-P etalon inserted into the cavity.  相似文献

Using an external cavity consisting of an etalon and a mirror, dual-wavelength operation of a high-power broad-area multi-stripe diode laser is achieved. The reflection of the etalon is used as the output beam of the system. The free-running bandwidth of the laser diode is about 2.0 nm. At dual-wavelength operation, the bandwidth of each wavelength component is narrowed to about 0.07 nm, while the space between them is 1.65 nm, determined by the FSR of the etalon. We obtain an available dual-wavelength output power of 2.0 W at the drive current of 6.5 A. The power ratio of the components at two different wavelengths can be changed by changing the temperature of the diode laser. 分别使用976 nm半导体激光器和1040 nm光纤激光器作为泵浦源,实现了1137 nm长波光纤激光器的出光,输出功率均超过百mW。激光器采用相同的线性腔结构,高反光栅和低反光栅的反射率分别为99.6%和39.7%,增益介质是一段8 m长的掺镱光纤,纤芯直径5 m。当976 nm半导体泵浦功率为912 mW时,1137 nm激光输出功率为182 mW,对应的斜率效率为28.5%;当1040 nm激光功率为1.59 W时,输出的1137 nm激光功率为278 mW,斜率效率约为25%。在此基础上对两种泵浦方式进行了对比分析。  相似文献

实现了使用3个级联的光纤Bragg光栅外腔半导体激光器3波长同时激射.3条谱线的峰值波长取决于光纤Bragg光栅的峰值反射波长,分别为1 531.5 nm、1 549.4 nm与1 554.8 nm.注入电流为52 mA时,激光器总输出功率为1 mW.该激光器的主要优点包括,由于输出波长被锁定在光纤Bragg光栅的Bragg波长上,因此输出波长稳定,谱线窄,成本低.可应用于多波长干涉测量以及全光通信等领域中.  相似文献

A novel Yb3+-doped fiber ring cavity laser pumped by a 977 nm laser diode is presented with its output laser wavelength of 1060 nm. Based on a fiber Bragg grating (FBG), the laser exhibits 0.20 nm line-width, 7.5 mW laser output power, 40 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and 66% slope efficiency.  相似文献

用半导体激光器抽运的调Q YLF倍频激光器抽运掺钛蓝宝石激光器,用LBO晶体在腔内产生二次谐波,再聚焦到BBO晶体上产生四次谐波深紫外激光。为了提高谐波转换效率,在腔内分别插入了单片、组合双折射滤光片和聚焦透镜,在平均功率为3.6W,波长为527nm的抽运光下得到410mW,417nm的蓝光。用长焦距的透镜聚焦二次谐波,得到34mW,208nm的紫外脉冲激光。从实验上详细研究了基频光的线宽对二次谐波效率的影响,二次谐波的线宽对四次谐波效率的影响、基频光的波长对四次谐波产生效率的影响。全面地分析了单片和组合大拆射滤光片及抽运功率对钛蓝宝石激光器基频光的脉宽、线宽等参量的影响。  相似文献
