The single crystals of La0.7Ba0.3(Mn1−xFex)O3 (x⩽0.28) and La0.7Ba0.3(Mn1−xAlx)O3 (x⩽0.15) compositions were grown using flux method and characterized by X-ray, electrical and magnetization measurements. The Fe-doping above x=0.2 destroys a long range ferromagnetic order thus leading to a spin glass state. It is found that insulating spin glasses exhibit a large magnetoresistance in the paramagnetic region which is comparable to that for ferromagnetic crystals showing metal–insulator transition close to TC. The magnetic behavior of La0.7Ba0.3(Mn1−xMex)O3 (Me=Fe, Cr, Al) ceramics is in agreement with superexchange magnetic interactions via oxygen. 相似文献

Dielectric and piezoelectric properties of (1?x)Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3?xBa0.7Ca0.3TiO3 (BST?xBCT) (x=0.2–0.9) perovskite ceramics have been investigated. BCT has fully incorporated into BST lattice, forming a complete perovskite solid solution, whose lattice constant χ decreases almost linearly with increase in x from 0.2 to 0.4, while showing an anomalous expansion at 0.4<x≤0.6. This, together with the deviation of tetragonal–orthorhombic phase transition temperature (TO–T) from the linear relation TO–T (K)=?103.7x+239.3 at x=0.5, suggests that a small amount of Ca2+ has substituted for Ti4+. Curie temperature TC increases linearly with increase in x from 0.2 to 0.9, which is mainly contributed to the increase of the Ba/Sr ratio. The calculated degree of relaxation (γ) is in the range of 1.41–1.53, indicating that the BST–xBCT ceramics are ferroelectric materials with diffuse phase transition. Strain and piezoelectric constant (d33) decrease with increasing x, whereas planar electromechanical coefficient (kp) reaches a maximum (17.0%) at x=0.6. 相似文献

The magnetic, electrical and thermal transport properties of the perovskite La0.7Ca0.3Mn0.9 Cr0.1O3 have been investigated by measuring dc magnetization, ac susceptibility, the magnetoresistance and thermal conductivity in the temperature range of 5-300 K. The spin glass behaviour with a spin freezing temperature of 70 K has been well confirmed for this compound, which demonstrates the coexistence and competition between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic clusters by the introduction of Cr. Colossal magnetoresistance has been observed over the temperature range investigated. The introduction of Cr causes the ““double-bump““ feature in electrical resistivity ρ(T). Anomalies on the susceptibility and the thermal conductivity associated with the double-bumps in ρ(T)are observed simultaneously. The imaginary part of ac susceptibility shows a sharp peak at the temperature of insulating-metallic transition where the first resistivity bump was observed, but it is a deep-set valley near the temperature where the second bump in ρ(T) emerges. The thermal conductivity shows an increase below the temperature of the insulating-metallic transition, but the phonon scattering is enhanced accompanying the appearance of the second peak of double-bumps in ρ(T). We relate those observed in magnetic and transport properties of La0.7Ca0.3Mn0.9Cr0.1O3 to the spin-dependent scattering. The results reveal that the spin-phonon interaction may be of more significance than the electron (charge)-phonon interaction in the mixed perovskite system. 相似文献

Samples of La1 ? x Ca x Mn1 ? z O3 + δ (x = 0.05?0.15) with deficient manganese and excess oxygen δ do not pass into a metallic state and have low spin ordering temperatures T C at acceptor Mn4+ concentrations near the percolation threshold. These results are explained by carrier localization in clusters near cation vacancies. A break in the carrier transport chain Mn-O-Mn in the form of absent manganese favors cluster formation and decreases the double exchange energy and T C of the samples. Closeness to the percolation threshold results in strong (more than four orders of magnitude) changes in the electrical resistivity in a magnetic field. The changes in the cluster sizes with the temperature and the magnetic field that are determined from the magnetotransport properties are satisfactorily described in the model of phase separation into small-radius metallic droplets in a dielectric paramagnetic and an antiferromagnetic matrices. 相似文献

A series of polycrystalline La0.5Ca0.5Mn1?xNixO3 (x = 0.00, 0.025, 0.050, 0.075, 0.100 and 0.125) was synthesised using solid state reaction. Measurements in a cooling and warming cycle between 300 and 80 K were carried out to study the Ni-doping effects on the electrical resistivity, thermopower and magnetisation of single-phase La0.5Ca0.5Mn1?xNixO3. Partial substitution of Ni for Mn leads to the suppression of charge ordering state, the evidence of which is shown by the dramatic decrease in electrical resistivity and thermal hysteresis width in electrical resistivity, thermopower and magnetisation. However, the magnitude of both electrical resistivity and thermopower increases with increasing Ni content. This can be attributed to an increase in the Mn4+ concentration, which favours the antiferromagnetic state and leads to a gradual disappearance of ferromagnetic double exchange interaction. Besides, the metal–nonmetal transition temperature decreases with increasing Ni content until x = 0.075, which might arise from increased electron–phonon coupling due to less ordered spins at temperatures above ferromagnetic transition. For samples with x greater than 0.075, no metal–nonmetal transition is observed due to the suppression of double exchange mechanism. 相似文献

Electrical conductivity measurements on CaTi1?xFexO3?δ (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3) were performed on polycrystalline pressed and sintered tablets using the van der Pauw four point method in controlled atmospheres. The results were interpreted to reflect n-type, ionic and p-type conductivity at different oxygen partial pressures. An increasing iron content increases the number of oxygen vacancies and increases the ionic conductivity at high temperatures, but also increases the tendency of ordering, which suppresses the ionic conductivity at more moderate temperatures. These findings are in accordance with the phase diagram of the system CaTiO3-CaFeO2.5 based on X-ray and Mössbauer studies. 相似文献

Ultrafast pump-optical probe spectroscopy was used to analyze carriers dynamics behavior in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/YBa2Cu3O7 ? δ/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heterostructure. Our results show the pump signal ΔR/R for higher laser power (such as 21 and 41 mW), below T c , first goes positive, then crosses zero and goes negative, before relaxing back to equilibrium over a time scale of a few ten picoseconds. We extract the characteristic relaxation time of the different process by fitting the data at these powers with a three-exponential decay. For higher laser power, the long characteristic relaxation time are obtained, which implies the competition between FM order and SC order in the La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/YBa2Cu3O7 ? δ/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heterostructure. 相似文献

Ultrafast photoelectric effects have been observed in p-n heterojunctions of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3(LSMO)/Si and LSMO/SrTiO3_/Si for the first time. The rise time was about 1 ns and the full width at half maximum was about 2ns for the photovoltaic pulse when the heterojunction was irradiated by a laser of -25 ps pulse duration and 1064 nm wavelength. The photovoltaic sensitivity was as large as 435 mV//mJ for a 1064 nm laser pulse. No such pulse was observed with irradiation from a pulsed 10.6 μm CO2 laser. 相似文献

La doping at Bi Site in multiferroic BiFeO3 (BFO) is known to stabilize the ferroelectric perovskite phase and reduce the leakage current. It has been observed that in Dy modified BFO sample, La is not required for the said reason. In fact, the removal of La from Dy modified BFO system leads to the reduction in leakage current. Moreover, the magnetic properties are enhanced by order of magnitude in the absence of La in the system. Remarkably, a similar trend in properties has been also observed in thin films grown on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si substrate by using the pulsed laser deposition technique. This significant variation in the properties after removal of La from the system could be attributed to the change in lattice parameters, bond lengths and Fe–O–Fe bond angle as determined by powder x-ray and neutron diffraction study. 相似文献

The temperature and field dependences of in-plane (IP) and out-of-plane (OP) anisotropic magnetoresistances (AMRs) have been measured in La1 ? x Pb x MnO3 (LPMO) thin films having different microstructures, namely the single-crystal (SC), nanocrystalline (NC) and polycrystalline (PC) microstructures. The OP AMR, irrespective of the microstructure, is found to be considerably larger than the IP AMR. The magnetization data show that the larger OP AMR arises because magnetization is favoured in the film plane owing to strain anisotropy. In addition, the temperature and field dependences of both IP and OP AMRs are governed by the crystallinity of the films, indicating that the AMRs are strongly influenced by the magnetization process. 相似文献

3/2 law. The values of the spin wave constant at low temperature B increase with the increase of x and the Curie temperature decreases. It is concluded that the substitution of Ca by Na+ ions causes a decrease in total exchange integral Aof the samples.

Perovskites of composition La1?x Srx(Mn1?x/2Nb x/2)O3 and La0.49Sr0.51(Mn1?y Nby)O3 have been synthesized and investigated. The substitution of nonmagnetic niobium ions for manganese was shown to lead to a transition from the metallic into the insulating state due to a decrease in the number of dissimilar (different-valence) manganese atoms in the lattice. In spite of the high resistivity, the niobium-containing perovskites exhibit a large magnetoresistive effect and ferromagnetic ordering. Small additions of Nb5+ to La0.49Sr0.51MnO3 stimulate the transition from the antiferromagnetic into the ferromagnetic state, whereas the substitution of Mg2+ for Mn stabilizes the antiferromagnetic state. It is supposed that the ferromagnetism in the insulating perovskites at hand is due to the positive superexchange of the Mn3+-O-Mn3+ type, and the magnetoresistive effect owes to the intergranular transfer of spin-polarized charge carriers and the suppression of magnetic nonuniformities by an applied magnetic field near T C. 相似文献

Influences of deoxygenation on the resistivity and the magnetic properties of La0.7Ca0.3Mn0.92Cr0.08O3-δ(M =Al, Cr) are compared to understand the peculiar doping effect of chromium in the ferromagnetic manganites. It is found that the double resistivity bumps exhibited by the Cr-doped compounds can be tuned by the oxygen content. We have related the double-bump feature with the well-known inefficiency of Cr in lowering Tc, and interpreted both the features consistently in terms of large-scale phase separation. It is suggested that the largescale phase separation is a general characteristic of Cr-doped manganites, and many unusual phenomena exhibited by Cr doping are directly related to the large-scale phase separation. 相似文献
