Reaction of 2-(2-oxoethylidene)furan-3(2H)-ones with isopropylidenehydrazides of aromatic carboxylic acids: Synthesis of 3-hydroxy-3-(2-oxoethyl)-2,3-dihydropyridazin-4(1H)-ones

3-Hydroxy-3-(2-oxoethyl)-6-phenyl-2,3-dihydropyridazin-4(1H)-ones were obtained by the reaction of methyl 3-oxo-5-phenylfuran-2(3H)-ylideneacetate or 2-[2-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-oxoethylidene]-5-phenylfuran-3(2H)-one with benzoic or p-nitrobenzoic isopropylidenehydrazides. Efficient,Stereoselective Approach to the Synthesis of 3-(1-Phenyl-2-(Z-styrylsulfonyl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl)-2H-chromen-2-ones

Reaction of phenyl acetylene with 3-(1-aryl-2-mercapto-4-imidazolyl)-2H-1-benzopyran-2-ones (4) in the presence of sodium hydroxide in absolute ethanol led to the formation of 3-(1-phenyl-2-(Z-styrylthio)-1H-imidazol-4-yl)-2H-chromen-2-ones (6) in excellent yields. These, on further oxidation with H₂O₂/AcOH, gave the corresponding sulfones (7) with retention of stereochemistry.

Synthesis and Anti-HIV-1 Activity of 2-[2-(3,5-Dimethylphenoxy)ethylthio]pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones

New 2-[2-(3,5-dimethylphenoxy)ethyl]thio derivatives of pyrimidin-4(3H)-one containing various substituents at positions 5 and 6 of the pyrimidine ring were synthesized. It was shown that alkylation of 2-thiouracils with 1-bromo-2-(3,5-dimethylphenoxy)ethane in DMF takes place exclusively at the sulfur atom. The obtained 6-benzyl and 6-(2,6-difluorobenzyl) derivatives have clearly defined virus-inhibiting properties with respect to type 1 human immunodeficiency virus in vitro and suppress its reproduction by 50% at concentrations of 1.3 and 11.2 mM respectively.     

Synthesis and structure of 1,3-dialkyl-4-(sulfonylimino)imidazolidin-2-ones

The reactions of 1,3-dialkyl-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidin-2-ones with alkyl sulfamides have been studied and previously undescribed 1,3-dialkyl-4-(alkylaminosulfonylimino)imidazolidin-2-ones have been obtained. We synthesized 2-(6-R-4-methyl-2-quinazolyl)amino-1,4-dihydropyrimid-4-ones by reaction of 6-R-4-methyl-2-quinazolylguanidines with acylacetic esters.     

Three component one-pot synthesis of novel pyrimidino thiazolidin-4-ones catalyzed by activated fly ash

Abstract

2-Phenyl-3-(4,6-diarylpyrimidin-2-yl) thiazolidin-4-ones, 12–22, were synthesized with good yields in a short reaction time by the “one-pot” multicomponent reaction of the appropriate 2-amino-4,6-diarylpyrimidines, benzaldehyde, and thioglycolic acid under microwave irradiation in the presence of activated fly ash catalyst. The characterization of these compounds was confirmed by melting point, elemental analysis, MS, FT-IR, and one-dimensional NMR (¹H and ¹³C) spectroscopic data.

Synthesis and spectroscopic studies of some new metal carbonyl derivatives of 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol

Interaction of 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (PAN) with [Mo(CO)₆] in air resulted in formation of the tricarbonyl oxo-complex [Mo(O)(CO)₃(PAN)], 1. The dicarbonyl complex [Ru(CO)₂(PAN)], 3, was obtained from the reaction of [Ru₃(CO)₁₂] with PAN. In presence of triphenyl phosphine (PPh₃), the reaction of PAN with either Mo(CO)₆ or Ru₃(CO)₁₂ gave [Mo(CO)₃(PAN)(PPh₃)], 2, and [Ru(CO)₂(PAN)(PPh₃)], 4. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, IR, and NMR spectroscopy. The thermal properties of the complexes were also investigated by thermogravimetry.     

Unexpected Synthesis of Novel 3-Allyl-5-(arylidene)-2-thioxo-thiazolidin-4-ones in Reactions of 3-Allylrhodanine with 2-Arylidene-4-methyl-5-oxopyrazolidinium Ylides

Abstract

The reaction of 3-allylrhodanine with 2-arylidene-4-methyl-5-oxopyrazolidinium ylides proceeded unexpectedly to form novel 3-allyl-5-(arylidene)-2-thioxo-thiazolidin-4-ones 6a–k in good yields. All structures have been formulated on the basis of their spectral (IR, NMR, MS) data and elemental analyses. In addition, the structure of compound 6a was confirmed by means of x-ray crystallographic analysis.     

Reactions of N,N-Disubstituted 5-Arylmethylidene-2-amino-thiazol-4(5H)-ones with CH Acids

Summary.  N,N-Disubstituted 5-arylmethylidene-2-aminothiazol-4(5H)-ones reacted with diethyl malonate, ethyl benzoylacetate, acetylacetone, or cyclopentadiene in refluxing toluene and in presence of powdered sodium to give the respective 5-arylmethylidene-2′-amino-2,5′-bithiazolylidene-4,4′-dione derivatives in moderate yields. 5-Benzylidene-2-morpholin-4-yl-2-thiazol-4(5H)-one reacted with malononitrile in toluene and in presence of powdered sodium under mild conditions to afford the 1:1 adduct, benzylmalononitrile, and 2-morpholin-4-yl-2-thiazol-4(5H)-one. However, similar treatment of 5-(4-methoxyphenylmethylidene)-2-morpholin-4-yl-2-thiazol-4(5H)-one with malononitrile yielded the 2,5′-bithiazolylidene-4,4′-dione derivative together with 4-methoxyphenylmethylidene malononitrile. Treatment of 5-benzylidene- and 5-(4-methoxyphenylmethylidene)-2-morpholin-4-yl-2-thiazol-4(5H)-ones with 3-phenyl-4-oxo-2-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidine in refluxing toluene and in presence of powdered sodium produced 5-arylmethylidene-3-phenyl-4-oxo-2-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidines in good yields. Amberlite XAD-7 resin impregnated with 2-(1-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2yl)-4-nitrophenol for enrichment of metal ions

The Amberlite XAD-7 resin modification was carried out by loading 2-(1-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2yl)-4-nitrophenol (CPDPINP). Subsequently, this new sorbent was applied for the enrichment of metal ions such as Cu²⁺, Ni²⁺, Co²⁺ Zn²⁺ and Pb²⁺ ions. The effect of various parameters on their sorption and following recoveries was studied in column procedure. The preconcentrated ions were eluted by appropriate eluent and their contents were quantified by FAAS. This method has preconcentration factor of 150 and enrichment factor in the range of 20.8–29.1. At optimum values of all variables, the proposed method has linear calibration graphs in the range of 0.01 up to 0.29 μg mL⁻¹ with detection limit (3SDb/m, n = 15) between 1.6 and 2.6 ng mL⁻¹. This protocol is usable for successful analysis of Cu²⁺, Ni²⁺, Co²⁺ Zn²⁺ and Pb²⁺ ions in different matrices with reasonable recoveries (>93%) and acceptable relative standard deviation (<4.7%).     

Reactions of sulfonamides with 4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidin-2-ones

The interaction of sulfonamides with 4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidin-2-ones was studied for the first time. The earlier unknown 4,4′-sulfonyldiiminobis(1,3-dialkylimidazolidin-2-ones) and 4(5)-aryl(alkyl)-sulfonyliminoimidazolidin-2-ones were synthesized. A probable pathway of the reaction was proposed. 1,3-Diethyl-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidin-2-one was isolated and described. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Photochemical and thermal cyclizations of 4-(2-azidophenyl)-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-ones for the synthesis of 4-methylenepyrimidino[5,4-b]indol-2-ones

Photochemical and thermal cyclization of 4-(2-azidophenyl)-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-ones could afford fused indoles, such as 1,2,3a,9b-tetrahydro-4-methylenepyrimidino[5,4-b]indol-2-ones and 1,3,5,6,7a,12b-hexahydroquinazolino[9,4-b]indol-2,7-dione in high yields via nitrene electrophilic addition and rearrangement reactions.     

The Synthesis of 7-[1-Aza-2-(dimethylamino)vinyl]-4-methylhydroquinolin-2-ones and their Isomerism in Different Solvents

Interesting biological activities have been reported recently for 4-methylhydro-2H-pyrano [6,5-h]-chromen-2-ones and 4-methylhydro-2H-pyrano[6,5-h]quinolin-2-ones, including excellent anti-HIV activity with DCK derivatives1 and significant cytotoxic activity with 4,8,8-trimethylhydro-2H-pyrano[6,5-h]quinolin-2-one2. These results prompted us to synthesize two series of corresponding diaza three-ring heterocyclic analogs, trihydro- pyridino[2,3-h]quinolin-2-ones and hydropyridino[2,3-h]quino…     

2-(2-羟基苯亚甲基胺)-4,6-二羟基-嘧啶的质子转移异构化反应

为了探索2-(2-羟基苯亚甲基胺)-4,6-二羟基-嘧啶(M1)分子醇式和酮式结构互变异构化的反应机理,利用密度泛函理论(DFT)方法,在B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p)基组水平上,对M1化合物异构化反应的势能面进行了研究,在探讨各种可能的反应途径中,发现单体至少有8种异构体和10种过渡态.结果表明:2-(2-羟基苯亚甲基胺)-6-羟基-4(3H)嘧啶酮(M6)不论是单体、与水形成的配合物,还是二聚体,比其相对应的异构体能量低,表明在通常情况下是以M6形式稳定存在的;在考察的可能反应途径中,直接进行的分子内质子转移过程需要的活化自由能为143.8 kJ· mol-1,水助催化时,反应的活化自由能为38.9 kJ· mol-1,二聚体双质子转移的活化自由能为0.6 kJ·mol-1,二聚体双质子转移所需活化自由能最低,在室温下就可以进行,由此可见氢键在降低反应活化能方面起着重要的作用.     

A Novel and Simple Synthesis of 2-(Trifluoromethyl)-4H-thiochromen-4-ones

Abstract

Alkyl 2-mercaptophenyl ketones react with trifluoroacetic anhydride in the presence of triethylamine to give 2-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-thiochromen-4-ones, which are transformed into the corresponding pyrazoles by treatment with hydrazine hydrate and into 1,1-dioxides by oxidation with H₂O₂ in AcOH.     

Novel Route for the Synthesis of 3-(Pyrrol-1-yl)-indolin-2-ones in Aqueous Micellar Medium

A high-yielding environmentally benign protocol has been developed for the synthesis of 3-(pyrrol-1-yl)-indolin-2-ones from the reaction of isatin and trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline in aqueous micellar medium. The method is operationally simple and more effective than the previous methods in terms of the yield of the products and the reaction time.     

Rapid and Efficient Synthesis of 3,3-Di(1H-indol-3-yl)indolin-2-ones and 2,2-Di(1H-indol-3-yl)-2H-acenaphthen-1-ones Catalyzed by p-TSA

An efficient synthesis of 3,3-di(1H-indol-3-yl)indolin-2-ones and 2,2-di(1H-indol-3-yl)-2H-acenaphthen-1-ones via a reaction of various isatins or acenaphthenequinone with indoles in the presence of p-methylbenzene sulfonic acid (p-TSA) in CH₂Cl₂ at room temperature is described. The advantages of this method include good reaction yield, simple workup procedure, and mild reaction condition.     

Reactions of 3-(4-Aryl-2-thiazolyl)- and 3-(2-Benzothiazolyl)-2-iminocoumarins with N-Nucleophiles

The reaction of 3-(4-aryl-2-thiazolyl)- and 3-(2-benzothiazolyl)-2-iminocoumarins with N-nucleophiles was studied. This reaction gives 2-N-substituted 3-(4-aryl-2-thiazolyl)- and 3-(2-benzothiazolyl)iminocourmarins. N-Nucleophiles such as arylamines, heterocyclic amines, and hydrazine derivatives undergo this reaction.     

Visible-Light-Induced Photocatalytic C3-Trifluoroethylation of Quinoxalin-2-(1H)-ones

A visible-light-induced Rose bengal catalyzed C3-trifluoroethylation of quinoxalin-2-(1H)-ones is reported. A wide range of quinoxalin-2-(1H)-ones was compatible, which led to the corresponding products in moderate to good yields. A gram-scale reaction proceeded well and afforded an efficient route to prepare C3-trifluoroethylated quinoxalin-2-(1H)-ones.
