A Nafion-graphene (Nafion-GR) nanocomposite film modified glassy carbon electrode was fabricated by a simple drop-casting method, and used in the electrochemical detection of p-aminophenol (4-AP). Owing to the large surface area, good conductivity of GR and good affinity of Nafion, the sensor exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of 4-AP. The electrochemical behaviors of 4-AP on Nafion/GR film modified glassy carbon electrodes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. A calibration curve is constructed in the same matrix, urine, as the unknown samples to be analyzed. The Nafion-GR film modified electrode was linearly dependent on the 4-AP concentration and the linear analytical curve was obtained in the ranges of 0.5–200 μM with differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and the detection limit was 0.051 μM. The Nafion-graphene nanocomposite modified electrode exhibited good reusability than pure graphene modified GCE. This procedure can be used for the determination of p-aminophenol in the presence of its degradation products and paracetamol. Finally, the proposed method was successfully used to determine p-aminophenol in local tap water samples in urine samples and pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

The π-A isotherms and UV-vis spectra of the transferred films suggested that the monolayer of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene can coordinate with Hg2+ at the air-water surface. From these observations, a glassy carbon electrode coated with Langmuir-Blodgett film of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4] arene as a new voltammetric sensor is designed for the determination of trace amounts of Hg2+. Compared with bare glassy carbon electrode and modified glassy carbon electrode using direct coating method, the Langmuir-Blodgett film-modified electrode can greatly improve the measuring sensitivity of Hg2+. Under the selected conditions, the Langmuir-Blodgett film-modified electrode in 0.1 mol L−1 H2SO4 + 0.01 mol L−1 KCl solution shows a linear voltammetric response for Hg2+ in the range of 5.0 × 10−10 to 1.5 × 10−7 mol L−1, with a detection limit of 2.0 × 10−10 mol L−1. The proposed method was also applied to determine Hg2+ in water samples (tap, lake and river water). In addition, the fabricated electrode exhibited a distinct advantage of simple preparation, non-toxicity, good reproducibility and good stability.  相似文献

This paper described a facile and direct electrochemical method for the determination of ultra-trace Cu2+ by employing amino-functionalized mesoporous silica (NH2-MCM-41) as enhanced sensing platform. NH2-MCM-41 was prepared by using a post-grafting process and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. NH2-MCM-41 modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode showed higher sensitivity for anodic stripping voltammetric (ASV) detection of Cu2+ than that of MCM-41 modified one. The high sensitivity was attributed to synergistic effect between MCM-41 and amino-group, in which the high surface area and special mesoporous morphology of MCM-41 can cause strong physical absorption, and amino-groups are able to chelate copper ions. Some important parameters influencing the sensor response were optimized. Under optimum experimental conditions the sensor linearly responded to Cu2+ concentration in the range from 5 to 1000 ng L−1 with a detection limit of 0.9 ng L−1 (S/N = 3). Moreover, the sensor possessed good stability and electrode renewability. In the end, the proposed sensor was applied for determining Cu2+ in real samples and the accuracy of the results were comparable to those obtained by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) method.  相似文献

This report described the direct voltammetric detection of peroxynitrite (ONOO) at a novel cyanocobalamin modified glassy carbon electrode prepared by electropolymeriation method. The electrochemical behaviors of peroxynitrite at the modified electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that this new electrochemical sensor exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity to oxidation of peroxynitrite. The mechanism of catalysis was discussed. Based on electrocatalytic oxidation of peroxynitrite at the poly(cyanocobalamin) modified electrode, peroxynitrite was sensitively detected by differential pulse voltammetry. Under optimum conditions, the anodic peak current was linear to concentration of peroxynitrite in the range of 2.0 × 10−6 to 3.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 (S/N of 3). The proposed method has been applied to determination of peroxynitrite in human serum with satisfactory results. This poly(cyanocobalamin) modified electrode showed high selectivity and sensitivity to peroxynitrite determination, which could be used in quantitative detection of peroxynitrite in vivo and in vitro.  相似文献

This study presents a method for the selective determination of Hg(II) using electromembrane extraction (EME), followed by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV), using a gold nanoparticle-modified glassy carbon electrode, (AuNP/GCE). By applying an electrical potential of typically 60 V for 12 min through a thin supported liquid membrane (1-octanol), Hg(II) ions are extracted from a donor phase (i.e., the sample solution) to an acidic acceptor solution (15 μL) placed in the lumen of a hollow fiber. The influences of experimental parameters during EME were optimized using face-centered central composite design. The calibration plot, established at a working voltage of 0.55 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), extends from 0.2 to 10 μg.L?1 of Hg(II). The limit of detection, at a signal to noise ratio of 3, is 0.01 μg.L?1 and the relative standard deviations (for 5 replicate determinations at 3 concentration levels) are between 7.5 and 8.7 %. The method was successfully applied to the determination of Hg(II) in spiked real water samples to give recoveries ranging from 89 to 97 %. The results were validated by cold vapor atomic absorption spectroscopy.
Graphical abstract Hg(II) ions were extracted from a donor phase into an acidic acceptor phase (15 μL) placed in the lumen of a hollow fiber using electromembrane extraction. The acceptor phase was then analyzed using anodic stripping voltammetry.

The present paper describes to modify a double stranded DNA-octadecylamine (ODA) Langmuir-Blodgett film on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface to develop a voltammetric sensor for the detection of trace amounts of baicalein. The electrode was characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). Electrochemical behaviour of baicalein at the modified electrode had been investigated in pH 2.87 Britton-Robinson buffer solutions by CV and square wave voltammetry (SWV). Compared with bare GCE, the electrode presented an electrocatalytic redox for baicalein. Under the optimum conditions, the modified electrode showed a linear voltammetric response for the baicalein within a concentration range of 1.0 × 10−8-2.0 × 10−6 mol L−1, and a value of 6.0 × 10−9 mol L−1 was calculated for the detection limit. And the modified electrode exhibited an excellent immunity from epinephrine, dopamine, glucose and ascorbic acid interference. The method was also applied successfully to detect baicalein in the medicinal tablets and spiked human blood serum samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A novel toluidine blue O (TBO) adsorbed alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) biocomposite film have been prepared through simple adsorption technique with the help of electrostatic interaction between oppositely charged layers. Nafion (NF) coating was made on top of the biocomposite film modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) to protect ADH from leaching. The fabricated ADH/TBO/NF biocomposite electrode remains highly stable in the pH range from 4 to 13. More facile electron transfer process occurs at ADH/TBO/NF biocomposite than at TBO/NF film, which is obvious from the six folds increase in ks value. Maximum surface coverage concentration (Γ) of TBO is noticed at ADH/TBO/NF film, which is 82% higher than at TBO/NF and 15% higher than at ADH/TBO film modified GCEs. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy studies reveal that ADH has been well immobilized in the biocomposite film. Scanning electron microscopy studies confirm the discriminate surface morphology of various components present in the biocomposite film. Cyclic voltammetry studies validate that ADH/TBO/NF biocomposite film exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity for ethanol oxidation at low over potential (Ipa = −0.14 V). The same studies show biocomposite film possesses a good sensitivity of 7.91 μA M−1 cm−2 for ethanol determination. This above sensitivity value is 17.40% higher than the sensitivity obtained for TBO/NF film (6.74 μA M−1 cm−2). Further, using differential pulse voltammetry, a sensitivity of 1.70 μA M−1 cm−2 has been achieved for ADH/TBO/NF biocomposite film.  相似文献

We report on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with a lead ionophore and multiwalled carbon nanotubes. It can be applied to square wave anodic stripping voltammetric determination of Pb(II) ion after preconcentration of Pb(II) at ?1.0?V (vs. SCE) for 300?s in pH?4.5 acetate buffer containing 400?μg?L?1 of Bi(III). The ionophore-MWCNTs film on the GCE possesses strong and highly selective affinity for Pb(II) as confirmed by quartz crystal microbalance experiments. Under the optimum conditions, a linear response was observed for Pb(II) ion in the range from 0.3 to 50?μg?L?1. The limit of detection (at S/N?=?3) is 0.1?μg?L?1. The method was applied to the determination of Pb(II) in water samples with acceptable recovery.

A novel glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with a composite film of poly (4-vinylpyridine) (P4VP) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (P4VP/MWCNT GCE) was used for the voltammetric determination of paracetamol (PCT). This novel electrode displayed a combined effect of P4VP and MWCNT on the electro-oxidation of PCT in a solution of phosphate buffer at pH 7. Hence, conducting properties of P4VP along with the remarkable physical properties of MWCNTs might have combined effects in enhancing the kinetics of PCT oxidation. The P4VP/MWCNT GCE has also demonstrated excellent electrochemical activity toward PCT oxidation compared to that with bare GCE and MWCNT GCE. The anodic peak currents of PCT on the P4VP/MWCNT GCE were about 300 fold higher than that of the non-modified electrodes. By applying differential pulse voltammetry technique under optimized experimental conditions, a good linear ratio of oxidation peak currents and concentrations of PCT over the range of 0.02–450 μM with a limit of detection of 1.69 nM were achieved. This novel electrode was stable for more than 60 days and reproducible responses were obtained at 99% of the initial current of PCT without any influence of physiologically common interferences such as ascorbic acid and uric acid. The application of this electrode to determine PCT in tablets and urine samples was proposed.  相似文献

We have developed a method for the determination of the three catecholamines (CAs) epinephrine (EP), norepinephrine (NE), and dopamine (DA) at sub-nanomolar levels. It is found that the luminescence of the complexes formed between the CAs and Tb3+ ion is strongly enhanced in the presence of colloidal silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). The Ag-NPs cause a transfer of the resonance energy to the fluorophores through the interaction of the excited-state fluorophores and surface plasmon electrons in the Ag-NPs. Under the optimized condition, the luminescence intensity of the system is linearly related to the concentration of the CAs. Linearity is observed in the concentration ranges of 2.5–110?nM for EP, 2.8–240?nM for NE, and 2.4–140?nM for DA, with limits of detection as low as 0.25?nM, 0.64?nM and 0.42?nM, respectively. Relative standard deviations were determined at 10?nM concentrations (for n?=?10) and gave values of 0.98%, 1.05% and 0.96% for EP, NE and DA, respectively. Catecholamines were successfully determined in pharmaceutical preparations, and successful recovery experiments are demonstrated for urine and serum samples.

We describe a new and promising type of selenium film electrode for anodic stripping voltammetry. This method is based on formation of copper selenide onto an in-situ formed selenium-film carbon electrode, this followed by Osteryoung square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry. Copper(II) is also in-situ electroplated in a test solution containing 0.01 mol L-1 hydrochloric acid, 0.05 mol L?1 potassium chloride and 500 µg L?1 Se(IV) at a deposition potential of ?300 mV. The well-defined anodic peak current observed at about 200 mV is directly proportional to the Cu(II) concentration over the range from 1.0 to 100 µg L?1 under the optimized conditions. The detection limit (three sigma level) is 0.2 µg L?1 Cu(II) at 180 s deposition time. Relatively less interferences are shown from most of metal ions except for antimony(III). The method can be applied to analyses of river water and oyster tissue with good accuracy.  相似文献

A binary nanocomposite of type copper tungstate and polyaniline (CuWO4@PANI) is described that was obtained by single step polymerization on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The resulting electrode is shown to be a viable tool for voltammetric sensing of quercetin (Qn) in blood, urine and certain food samples. The nanocomposite was characterized by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Differential pulse voltammetry was applied to quantify Qn, typically at the relatively low working potential of 0.15 V (vs. Ag/AgCl). The modified GCE has a wide analytical range (0.001–0.500 μM) and a low detection limit (1.2 nM). The sensor is reproducible, selective and stable. This makes it suitable for determination of Qn in real samples without complicated sample pretreatment.

Covalent tethering of cysteamine to chitosan using glutaraldehyde yields thiol-functionalized chitosan (CS-SH). It was cast on a glassy carbon electrode which is found to be very stable in acidic solutions and to possess a strong affinity for Hg(II) ions as confirmed by quartz crystal microbalance measurements. A glassy carbon electrode modified with a nanocomposite made from CS-SH and multiwalled carbon nanotubes was applied for square wave voltammetric determination of Hg(II). The procedure comprises the steps of (a) chemical accumulation of Hg(II) under open-circuit condition and (b) electrochemical determination of Hg(II). Linear responses are obtained in the range from 10 to 140 nM, with a limit of detection of 3 nM (S/N?=?3) under optimized conditions. The electrode was applied to the determination of Hg(II) in water samples with satisfactory recoveries.  相似文献

In this study, a sensitive and selective voltammetric method based on poly(diphenylamine-4-sulfonic acid) modified glassy carbon electrode (poly(DPASA)/GCE) was developed for determination of gallic acid. Appearance of an irreversible oxidative peak at both bare GCE and poly(DPASA)/GCE for gallic acid with about three folds current enhancement and much reduced potential at poly(DPASA)/GCE showed catalytic property of the modifier towards oxidation of gallic acid. Under optimized conditions, Adsorptive stripping square wave voltammetric peak current response of the poly(DPASA)/GCE showed linear dependence with gallic acid concentration in the range 5.00 × 10?7–3.00 × 10?4 mol L?1 with limit of detection of 4.35 × 10?9. Spike recovery results between 94.62 and 99.63, 95.00–99.80 and 97.25–103.20% of gallic acid in honey, raw peanut, and commercial peanut butter samples respectively, interference recovery results with less than 4.11% error in the presence of uric acid and ascorbic acid, lower LOD and relatively wider dynamic range than most of the previously reported methods validated the potential applicability of the method based on poly(DPASA)/GCE for determination of gallic acid real samples including in honey and peanut samples.  相似文献

The authors describe a dopamine (DA) sensor based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with a composite film composed of carbon dots (C-dots) and graphene functionalized with an ionic liquid. The C-dots were functionalized with carboxy groups whose negative charge promotes electrostatic attraction to the protonated amino groups in DA. The presence of an imidazole cation in the IL facilitates interaction with the C-dots and DA via electrostatic interactions and π-stacking forces. Under optimal conditions, the modified GCE display improved electrochemical response to DA compared to a bare GCE, or a GCE modified with C-dots or IL-graphene only. The oxidation current, measured best at a potential of 0.22 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) is linearly related to the DA concentration in the 0.1 to 600 μM range, with a 30 nM detection limit at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. Ascorbic acid does not interfere even in large excess, and the sensor is stable for at least a month. The modified GCE was applied to the determination of DA in spiked fetal bovine serum and gave satisfactory results.  相似文献

The preparation of Hg(II)-modified multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) by reaction of oxidized MWCNT with aqueous HgCl2 was carried out. The Hg(II)-modified multi walled carbon nanotube (Hg(II)/MWCNT) dispersed in Nafion solution was used to coat the polished graphite electrode surface. The Hg(II)/MWCNT modified graphite electrode was held at a cathodic potential (−1.0 V) to reduce the coordinated Hg(II) to Hg forming nanodroplets of Hg. The modified electrode was characterized by FESEM/EDAX which provided useful insights on the morphology of the electrode. The SEM images showed droplets of Hg in the size of around 260 nm uniformly distributed on the MWCNT. Differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used to study the Hg(II) binding with MWCNT. Differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry of ppb levels of cadmium and lead using the modified electrode yielded well-defined peaks with low background current under a short deposition time. Detection limit of 0.94 and 1.8 ng L−1 were obtained following a 3 min deposition for Pb(II) and Cd(II), respectively. Various experimental parameters were characterized and optimized. High reproducibility was observed from the RSD values for 20 repetitive measurements of Pb(II) and Cd(II) (1.7 and 1.9%, respectively). The determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) in tap water and Pb(II) in human hair samples was carried out. The above method of fabrication of Hg(II)/MWCNT modified graphite electrode clearly suggests a safe route for preparing Hg immobilized electrode for stripping analysis.  相似文献

Polyimide (PI) sheets were laser etched to obtain graphene-based carbon nanomaterials (LEGCNs). These were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy which confirmed the presence of stacked multilayer graphene nanosheets. Their large specific surface and large number of edge-plane active sites facilitate the accumulation of metal ions. A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with an in-situ plated bismuth film was modified with the LEGCNs to give a sensor with satisfactory response for the simultaneous determination of cadmium(II) and lead(II) by means of square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. It appears that is the first report on an electrochemical sensor based on the use of laser etched graphene for determination of heavy metal ions. Figures of merit for detection of Cd(II) include (a) a low and well separated working potential of ?0.80 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), (b) a wide linear range (from 7 to 120 μg·L?1), and a low detection limits 0.47 μg·L?1. The respective data for Pb(II) are (a) -0.55 V, (b) 5 to 120 μg·L?1, and (c) 0.41 μg·L?1. The modified GCE displays remarkable repeatability, reproducibility, selectivity and stability. The sensor was applied to the simultaneous determination of Cd(II) and Pb(II) in spiked real water samples. The results confirm that the laser etching technique is an efficient tool for the preparation of carbon nanomaterials with high quality and great sensing performance.

An anthraquinone (AQ) improved Na-montmorillonite nanoparticles (nano-SWy-2) chemically modified electrode (CME) has been developed for the simultaneous determination of trace levels of cadmium (II) and lead (II) by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). This method is based on a non-electrolytic preconcentration via ion exchange model, followed by an accumulation period via the complex formation in the reduction stage at −1.2 V, and then by an anodic stripping process. The mechanism of this design was proposed and the analytical performance was evaluated with several variables. Under the optimized working conditions, the detection limit was 3 and 1 nM for Cd2+ and Pb2+, respectively. The calibration graphs were linear in the concentration ranges of 8×10−9 to 1×10−6 mol L−1 (Cd2+) and of 2×10−9 to 1×10−6 mol L−1 (Pb2+). Many inorganic species did not interfere with the assay significantly; the high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of this nano-SWy-2-AQ CME were demonstrated. The applications for the detection of trace levels of Cd2+ and Pb2+ in milk powder and lake water samples indicate that it is an economical and potent method.  相似文献

We report a simple method for the direct and quantitative determination of L-tryptophan (Trp) and L-tyrosine (Tyr) using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with single-walled carbon nanohorns (SWCNHs). The SWCNH modified GCE exhibits high electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of both Trp and Tyr. It shows a linear response to Trp between 0.5 and 50 μM and to Tyr between 2 and 30 μM. The detection limits for Trp and Tyr are 50 nM and 400 nM, respectively. In addition, the modified GCE displays good selectivity and good sensitivity, thus making it suitable for the determination of Trp and Tyr in spiked serum samples.
