In this paper we give criteria for an ideal of a TAF algebra to be meet-irreducible. We show that is meet-irreducible if and only if the C∗-envelope of is primitive. In that case, admits a faithful nest representation which extends to a ∗-representation of the C∗-envelope for . We also characterize the meet-irreducible ideals as the kernels of bounded nest representations; this settles the question of whether the n-primitive and meet-irreducible ideals coincide.  相似文献

We study the structure constants of the class algebra of the wreath products Γn associated to an arbitrary finite group Γ with respect to the basis of conjugacy classes. We show that a suitable filtration on gives rise to the graded ring with non-negative integer structure constants independent of n (some of which are computed), which are then encoded in a Farahat-Higman ring . The real conjugacy classes of Γ come to play a distinguished role and are treated in detail in the case when Γ is a subgroup of . The above results provide new insight to the cohomology rings of Hilbert schemes of points on a quasi-projective surface X.  相似文献

To any cleft Hopf Galois object, i.e., any algebra obtained from a Hopf algebra H by twisting its multiplication with a two-cocycle α, we attach two “universal algebras” and . The algebra is obtained by twisting the multiplication of H with the most general two-cocycle σ formally cohomologous to α. The cocycle σ takes values in the field of rational functions on H. By construction, is a cleft H-Galois extension of a “big” commutative algebra . Any “form” of can be obtained from by a specialization of and vice versa. If the algebra is simple, then is an Azumaya algebra with center . The algebra is constructed using a general theory of polynomial identities that we set up for arbitrary comodule algebras; it is the universal comodule algebra in which all comodule algebra identities of are satisfied. We construct an embedding of into ; this embedding maps the center of into when the algebra is simple. In this case, under an additional assumption, , thus turning into a central localization of . We completely work out these constructions in the case of the four-dimensional Sweedler algebra.  相似文献

Let A1,A2,…,Ar be C∗-algebras with second duals A1″,A2″,…,Ar″, and let X be an arbitrary Banach space. Let be a bounded r-linear map, and denote by the Johnson-Kadison-Ringrose extension (i.e., the separately to continuous r-linear extension) of Γ. The problem of characterising those Γ for which Γ″ takes its values in X was solved by Villanueva when the algebras are all commutative. Because the Dunford-Pettis property fails for noncommutative C∗-algebras, the ‘obvious’ extension of Villanueva's characterisation does not give the correct condition. In this paper we solve this problem for general C∗-algebras. This result is then applied to obtaining a multilinear generalisation of the normal-singular decomposition of a bounded linear operator on a von Neumann algebra.  相似文献

For a nondegenerate additive subgroup Γ of the n-dimensional vector space over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, there is an associative algebra and a Lie algebra of Weyl type spanned by all differential operators uD1m1?Dnmn for (the group algebra), and m1,…,mn?0, where D1,…,Dn are degree operators. In this paper, it is proved that an irreducible quasifinite -module is either a highest or lowest weight module or else a module of the intermediate series; furthermore, a classification of uniformly bounded -modules is completely given. It is also proved that an irreducible quasifinite -module is a module of the intermediate series and a complete classification of quasifinite -modules is also given, if Γ is not isomorphic to .  相似文献

Using infinitesimals, we develop Malliavin calculus on spaces which result from the classical Wiener space by replacing with any abstract Wiener space .We start from a Brownian motion b on a Loeb probability space Ω with values in the Banach space is the standard part of a ∗finite-dimensional Brownian motion B. Then we define iterated Itô integrals as standard parts of internal iterated Itô integrals. The integrator of the internal integrals is B and the values of the integrands are multilinear forms on , where is a ∗finite-dimensional linear space over between the Hilbert space and its ∗-extension .In the first part we prove a chaos decomposition theorem for L2-functionals on Ω that are measurable with respect to the σ-algebra generated by b. This result yields a chaos decomposition of L2-functionals with respect to the Wiener measure on the standard space of -valued continuous functions on [0,1]. In the second part we define the Malliavin derivative and the Skorohod integral as standard parts of internal operators defined on ∗finite-dimensional spaces. In an application we use the transformation rule for finite-dimensional Euclidean spaces to study time anticipating and non-anticipating shifts of Brownian motion by Bochner integrals (Girsanov transformations).  相似文献

In this paper the zero-divisor graph Γ(R) of a commutative reduced ring R is studied. We associate the ring properties of R, the graph properties of Γ(R) and the topological properties of . Cycles in Γ(R) are investigated and an algebraic and a topological characterization is given for the graph Γ(R) to be triangulated or hypertriangulated. We show that the clique number of Γ(R), the cellularity of and the Goldie dimension of R coincide. We prove that when R has the annihilator condition and ; Γ(R) is complemented if and only if is compact. In a semiprimitive Gelfand ring, it turns out that the dominating number of Γ(R) is between the density and the weight of . We show that Γ(R) is not triangulated and the set of centers of Γ(R) is a dominating set if and only if the set of isolated points of is dense in .  相似文献

Let H be a complex Hilbert space and let {Tn}n?1 be a sequence of commuting bounded operators on H such that . Let denote the space of all operators X in B(H) for which and suppose that . We will show that there exists a triple {K,Γ,{Un}n?1} where K is a Hilbert space, Γ:KH is a bounded operator and {Un}n?1B(K) is a sequence of commuting normal operators with such that TnΓ=ΓUn for n?1, and for which the mapping Y?ΓYΓ is a complete isometry from the commutant of {Un}n?1 onto the space . Moreover we show that the inverse of this mapping can be extended to a -homomorphism

A nonlinear map φ between operator algebras is said to be a numerical radius isometry if w(φ(TS))=w(TS) for all T, S in its domain algebra, where w(T) stands for the numerical radius of T. Let and be two atomic nests on complex Hilbert spaces H and K, respectively. Denote the nest algebra associated with and the diagonal algebra. We give a thorough classification of weakly continuous numerical radius isometries from onto and a thorough classification of numerical radius isometries from onto .  相似文献

For any étale Lie groupoid G over a smooth manifold M, the groupoid convolution algebra of smooth functions with compact support on G has a natural coalgebra structure over the commutative algebra which makes it into a Hopf algebroid. Conversely, for any Hopf algebroid A over we construct the associated spectral étale Lie groupoid over M such that is naturally isomorphic to G. Both these constructions are functorial, and is fully faithful left adjoint to . We give explicit conditions under which a Hopf algebroid is isomorphic to the Hopf algebroid of an étale Lie groupoid G.  相似文献

Let G be a locally compact group and let B(G) be the dual space of C∗(G), the group C∗ algebra of G. The Fourier algebra A(G) is the closed ideal of B(G) generated by elements with compact support. The Fourier algebras have a natural operator space structure as preduals of von Neumann algebras. Given a completely bounded algebra homomorphism we show that it can be described, in terms of a piecewise affine map with Y in the coset ring of H, as follows

Quadri-algebras
We introduce the notion of quadri-algebras. These are associative algebras for which the multiplication can be decomposed as the sum of four operations in a certain coherent manner. We present several examples of quadri-algebras: the algebra of permutations, the shuffle algebra, tensor products of dendriform algebras. We show that a pair of commuting Baxter operators on an associative algebra gives rise to a canonical quadri-algebra structure on the underlying space of the algebra. The main example is provided by the algebra of linear endomorphisms of an infinitesimal bialgebra A. This algebra carries a canonical pair of commuting Baxter operators: and , where ∗ denotes the convolution of endomorphisms. It follows that is a quadri-algebra, whenever A is an infinitesimal bialgebra. We also discuss commutative quadri-algebras and state some conjectures on the free quadri-algebra.  相似文献

Let k be a number field and Ok its ring of integers. Let Γ be the alternating group A4. Let be a maximal Ok-order in k[Γ] containing Ok[Γ] and its class group. We denote by the set of realizable classes, that is the set of classes such that there exists a Galois extension N/k at most tamely ramified, with Galois group isomorphic to Γ, for which the class of is equal to c, where ON is the ring of integers of N. In this article we determine and we prove that it is a subgroup of provided that k and the 3rd cyclotomic field of are linearly disjoint, and the class number of k is odd.  相似文献

The Hecke group algebra of a finite Coxeter group , as introduced by the first and last authors, is obtained from by gluing appropriately its 0-Hecke algebra and its group algebra. In this paper, we give an equivalent alternative construction in the case when is the finite Weyl group associated to an affine Weyl group W. Namely, we prove that, for q not a root of unity of small order, is the natural quotient of the affine Hecke algebra H(W)(q) through its level 0 representation. The proof relies on the following core combinatorial result: at level 0 the 0-Hecke algebra H(W)(0) acts transitively on . Equivalently, in type A, a word written on a circle can be both sorted and antisorted by elementary bubble sort operators. We further show that the level 0 representation is a calibrated principal series representation M(t) for a suitable choice of character t, so that the quotient factors (non-trivially) through the principal central specialization. This explains in particular the similarities between the representation theory of the 0-Hecke algebra and that of the affine Hecke algebra H(W)(q) at this specialization.  相似文献
