While magnetic properties of the 1D chain [Fe(hyetrz)3](4-bromophenylsulfonate)2 investigated over the temperature range from 300 K to 2 K show paramagnetic behavior, detailed 57Fe Mössbauer and muon spin relaxation measurements reveal an unexpected spin conversion. Approximately ~14 % of the high-spin ions are found to convert to the low-spin state with a transition temperature T 1/2?~?120 K.  相似文献

Complex perovskite-like oxides, such as LnFe2/3Mo1/3O3 orthoferrites, Ln8?ySryCu8?xFexO20 (8-8-20), Pr4BaCu4FeO13-δ(4-1-5), YBa2-yLa y Cu3-xFe x O7-δ and Y1-yCa y Ba y La y Cu3-xFe x O7-δ (1-2-3), are studied by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy. At room temperature, the spectra of the orthoferrites contain only magnetic components. The spectra of the 1-2-3 compounds contain only magnetically disordered components: iron atoms substitute for copper at Cu(1) sites, taking various configurations: planar squares, quadratic pyramids, and octahedra. Cuprates 8-8-20 and 4-1-5 have a wide diversity of spectra. In the 8-8-20 oxides, a phase related to the pyramidal environment of the iron cations is present at any iron concentration. In all the perovskites, iron cations become magnetically ordered only at octahedral sites of the structure.  相似文献

The procedures and results of high resolution Mössbauer experiments performed with the 93.3 keV resonance in absorbers of67ZnO,67ZnS (both wurtzite and sphalerite structures),67ZnSe,67ZnTe and67ZnF2 are reported. An essentially linear dependence between the isomer shift and the Pauling electronegativity of the ligands was found. A value of r 2=+11×10–3 fm2 is estimated. The Mössbauer parameters for both ZnS structures are equal within present limits of error. In particular, no quadrupole interaction was observed in the wurtzite modification. The nanocrystalline NiFe2O4 particles prepared by solution combustion synthesis technique using different fuels such as ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (NA sample) and urea (NB sample) were studied using magnetic measurement and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy with a high velocity resolution. The temperature dependence of magnetization is different for the two samples. Mössbauer spectra demonstrate the necessity to use more than two magnetic sextets, usually used to fit the NiFe2O4 nanoparticles spectra. Evaluation of the different local microenvironments for Fe in both tetrahedral (A) and octahedral (B) sites, caused by different Ni2?+? occupation of octahedral sites, demonstrates at least five different local microenvironments for both A and B sites. Therefore, the Mössbauer spectra were fitted by using ten magnetic sextets which are related to the spread 57Fe location in octahedral and tetrahedral sites.  相似文献

Mössbauer spectroscopy with high velocity resolution was used to study of 11 ordinary chondrites from L and H chemical groups. Mössbauer spectra were recorded in 4,096 channels and then presented in 1,024 channels. An increase of velocity resolution allowed us to carry out more detailed analysis of ordinary chondrites and to decrease experimental error for evaluation of hyperfine parameters in comparison with previous chondrite Mössbauer spectra measured in 512 channels or less. Variations of hyperfine parameters were observed for corresponding iron bearing phases in chondrites. Two crystallographically non-equivalent octahedral sites M1 and M2 in olivine and pyroxene were revealed in Mössbauer spectra of bulk chondrite samples.  相似文献

Studies of the ferrite nanoparticles prepared by the chemical decomposition of iron chlorides with a various ratio ξ = Fe3+/Fe2+ are herein presented. The microstructure and the magnetic properties have been studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS). The TEM studies show that the nanoparticles have almost a spherical shape with the diameter of (12 ± 2) nm for all samples. The measured XRD pattern was mainly composed of lines which were indexed with a cubic spinel structure. The analysis of the Mössbauer data shows that the microstructure of the nanoparticles consists of the core formed by nonstoichiometric magnetite and maghemite shell. A small amount of hematite, probably on the surface of the nanoparticles with ξ = 1.75, 2.0, was detected. At temperatures T ≤ 150 K the spin canting of surface maghemite with ξ = 2.25 was observed while for the samples with ξ = 1.75, 2.0 such effect was suppressed by the presence of hematite on the surface of the nanoparticles. Infield Mössbauer spectra with ξ = 1.75, 2.0 show that magnetic moments of the magnetite/maghemite core are parallel while magnetic moments of the surface hematite are perpendicular to the direction of the external magnetic field.  相似文献

A semiempirical formula is derived for evaluating the lowest concentration of Mössbauer atoms whose signal can be reliably recorded by electron Mössbauer spectroscopy. The concentration is calculated from the resonance effect magnitude in a sample of known chemical composition, on the basis of the cross sections of photoelectric absorption of source gamma photons by the sample atoms, the energy and probability of production of photoelectrons and their associated Auger electrons, and the probability of recoilless gamma-photon absorption in the sample. The heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in the chloroplast of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, termed HSP70B, interacts with chloroplast-targeted DnaJ-like proteins (CDJs). In this work we focus on two CDJ co-chaperones (CDJ3 and CDJ4) of HSP70B which contain a redox-active Fe-S cluster (Dorn et al. Biochem. J. 427, 205 [2010]). We have performed Mössbauer spectroscopy on 57Fe enriched CDJ3 an) CDJ4. Our results indicate that both proteins have unusual [4Fe4S] 2+ clusters showing structural inhomogeneity of the two [Fe 2.5+-Fe 2.5+] pairs. The spectra have been analyzed by means of two components with δ-values characteristic for Fe 2.5+ centers, but the differences in ΔE Q indicate variations in their tetrahedral coordination spheres.  相似文献

A preliminary investigation of monomeric soybean leghemoglobin a in oxy- and deoxy-forms was carried out for the first time using Mössbauer spectroscopy with a high velocity resolution at 90 K. Abstract

Using a diamond anvil cell, high-pressure 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy has been performed with the nuclear forward scattering of synchrotron radiation. A pressure-induced magnetic hyperfine interaction at 57Fe in SrFeO2, 97 has been detected at 44 GPa and 300 K for a first time by a quantum-beat modulation of the decay rate after collective nuclear excitation by the synchrotron pulse. The basic concept and method used to detect nuclear forward scattering with synchrotron radiation are discussed.  相似文献

In this work we study systematically the influence of different Al/Si ratios on the magnetic and structural properties of mechanically disordered powder Fe75Al25?x Si x , Fe70Al30?x Si x and Fe60Al40?x Si x alloys by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction measurements. In order to obtain different stages of disorder the alloys were deformed by ball milling annealed (ordered) alloys during different number of hours. X-ray and Mössbauer data show that mechanical deformation induces the disordered A2 structure in these alloys. The results indicate that addition of Si to binary Fe–Al alloys makes the disordering more difficult. The study of the hyperfine fields indicates that depending on the Fe content the magnetic behaviour of these ternary alloys varies. For Fe75Al25?x Si x series, the alloys have different magnetic behaviours with deformation depending on the Si content. The magnetization of the alloys with high Si content decreases with deformation, as it happens to binary Fe75Si25 and the magnetization of the alloys with low Si content increases with deformation, as it happens to binary Fe75Al25. For Fe70Al30?x Si x series the mean hyperfine fields show that there are two different stages with the disordering, in a first stage the mean hyperfine fields decrease and in the second stage they increase. Finally, for Fe60Al40?x Si x alloys there is a magnetic transition, from a paramagnetic ordered state to a magneticdisordered state.  相似文献

New high-strength austenitic and austenitic-ferritic manganese steels represent a significant potential in applications for structural components in the automotive and railway industry due to the excellent combination of high mechanical properties and good plasticity. They belong to the group of steels called AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steels) and UHSS (Ultra High Strength Steels). Application of this combination of properties allows a reduction in the weight of vehicles by the use of reduced cross-section components, and thus to reduce fuel consumption. The development and implementation of industrial production of such interesting and promising steel and its use as construction material requires an improvement of their casting properties and susceptibility to deformation in plastic working conditions. In this work, XRD, Transmission Mössbauer Spectroscopy and Conversion Electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy were employed in a study of the new high-manganese steels with a austenite and austenite-ferrite structure. The influence of the plastic deformation parameters on the changes in the structure, distribution of ferrite and disclosure of the presence of carbides was determined. The analysis of phase transformations in various times using CEMS method made possible to reveal their fine details.  相似文献

121Sb Mössbauer spectra for ferromagnets, Mn1+x Sb (0.00≤x≤0.22) in ε phase were measured at 77 K. The large unique hyperfine magnetic field (H hf=361 kOc) atx=0 tends to decrease and to have a wide distribution with increase ofx. The decreasing ratio of the mean value ofH hf for the nonstoichiometric samples is in accordance with that of their magnetizationM S(x), i.c., the relation \(\overline {H_{hf} } (x)/H_{hf} (0) = M_S (x)/M_S (0)\) holds in this system.  相似文献

The first study of a Chelyabinsk LL5 ordinary chondrite fragment was carried out using Mössbauer spectroscopy with a high velocity resolution at 295 and 90 K. Ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic particles have been of scientific and technological interest for several decades. The study of nanometer clusters or particles is currently a developing subject. Such materials may be in a non-equilibrium or quasi-equilibrium phase; different properties as compared to the bulk and indeed even new physical phenomena may be expected. Some ways to synthesize clusters and fine particles are described. Mössbauer spectroscopy is shown to be particularly useful for the study of nanometer particles; an outline of how it actually works is given. As an illustration, barium ferrite small particles, a material of topical interest, is considered in detail. In particular, methods of preparation, the crystal and magnetic structure, the magnetic characteristics, recently obtained Mössbauer results, and potential and realized applications are reviewed.  相似文献

In a Mössbauer study of non-dehydrated membrane proteins from thermophilic green-blue algae we observed the behavior of the “narrow” and “broad” lines of their Mössbauer spectra during the heating from 80 to 270 K and found that the behavior of the full area SF under the spectrum resembles that of the Debye-Waller factor and that quadrupole splitting decreases drastically, from Δ = 0.7 mm/s to Δ ≈ 0, as the temperature is increased from 220 to 270 K. The mathematical treatment of the spectra and decomposition into three components corresponding to thermal, diffusional and conformational motions enabled us to explain the temperature-dependent changes in the spectra.  相似文献

Powdered Nd-Fe-B-type permanent magnets were heated at 200 C for times up to 32 days. The evolution of the Nd2Fe14B magnetic phase, followed by57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy, evidenced the positive influence of both the hydrogen decrepitation process and Co, Nb and V additives on the corrosion resistance.  相似文献
