The phonon drag and electron diffusion contribution to the tensor M which determines 3 the heat flux U = M·E is calculated for a silicon MOSFETS in a perpendicular magnetic field B. We used nearly the same theoretical formalism as Ref [6], but improvements are made in several respects. First of all the dielectric function of Fermi-Thomas approximation which has been proved to result in overscreening of the interaction is replaced by rigorous Lindhard-type dielectric function to take account of the screening between electrons and phonons. Secondly the contributions of localized electrons are separated from those of the free state electrons which are the only part that contributes to both conductivity tensor and magnetothermopower tensor. The calculated Myx and Sxx reveal magneto-oscillationsoriginating Gom oscillations in the density of states at the Fermi level. At T = 5.02 K, our new results show that the diffusion components of thermopower are negligibly small compared with those due to phonon drag. All the theoretical values of Myx, Sxx and Syx are in accordance with the experimental data better than previous theoretical results.  相似文献

It is shown that the concept of a continuous variation in the kinetic energy of a free longitudinal electron motion along the direction of an external magnetic field results in a physically incorrect conclusion on a zero phase volume in the system where the zero Landau lever is realized. Since the kinetic energy of a longitudinal continuous motion is varied in the same way between 0 and 2B H within each Landau energy level, this problem is circumvented.  相似文献

It is shown that the quadratic component of the kinetic energy of continuous longitudinal motion of relativistic electrons in the external magnetic field is varied continuously between 0 and 2(2m e c 2B H) within each Landau energy level, undergoing an abrupt change at the boundaries of the levels. This results in the fact that in the quantum limit of a superstrong magnetic field where all electrons are at the zero Landau level, the maximum quadratic component of the kinetic energy of free longitudinal electron motion along the direction of the magnetic field is twice as high as the maximum quadratic component of the kinetic energy of its bound transverse motion.  相似文献

All the previous homogeneous theories result in MΧΧ = 0 which are at variance with the experimental data. It is for this reason, previous theories have consistently used experimental value of MΧΧ in calculating thermopower tensor S. The inhomogeneous and non-equilibrium formalism proposed by Dyakin et al. was generalized to including both transverse and longitudinal modes of electron-phonon interaction and considering the broadening of the Landau level. The resulting formula gives theoretical values of MΧΧ for GaAs/AlGaAs heterojunctions which are in accord with experimental ,data at oscillation phases but (λp/)l/2 times smaller than experimental data for T = 1.275 K, 2.937 K, 5.005 K and C = 0.20 where λp and are the phonon mean free path and effective thickness of the heterojunctions. By means of the semi-empirical formula of MzZ with extra factor (λp/)l/2 in, phonon drag magnetothermopower can be calculated from theoretical values of M and MΧΧ.  相似文献

Quantum states have been calculated analytically; the dynamics of a wave packet in a magnetic field has been investigated, and the optical absorption coefficient has been calculated for surface states in 3D topological insulators of the Bi2Te3 family. We have detected a qualitative effect of the hexagonal warping of the spectrum on the structure of wavefunctions at the Landau levels, its manifestation in the features of the wave packet dynamics in a quantizing magnetic field, as well as in the frequency dependence of the optical absorption coefficient, in which new peaks that are absent in the isotropic model of the spectrum appear depending on the polarization of the incident wave. The effects considered here can be manifested in the optical and transport experiments with topological insulators, which makes it possible to determine the parameters of their band structure.  相似文献

The stability of an isothermal thin disk with three-dimensional magnetic fields and radial viscous force is examined in this paper. We find that the radial viscous force has no influence on the stability of viscous modes. But there is more influence on the stability of magneto-acoustic modes, which is related to the perturbation wavelength and different parts of disk. Finally, we use our model to explain the long-term variability of Quasar 3C345.  相似文献

The Fermi energy, cyclotron energy and cyclotron effective mass of degenerate electron gas in a sizeoquantized semiconductor thin film with non-parabolic energy bands are studied. The influences of quantizing magnetic field on these quantities in two-band approximation of the Kane model are investigated. It is shown that the Fermi energy oscillates in a magnetic field. The period and positions of these oscillations are found as a function of film thickness and concentration of electrons. Cyclotron energy and cyclotron effective mass are investigated as a function of film thickness in detail The results obtained here are compared with experimental data on GaAs quantum wells.  相似文献

由于工程中应用广泛的电磁搅拌问题很难得到解析解,通过有限元软件ANSYS对其进行了数值求解。结果表明:旋转磁场在结晶器搅拌区域内产生电磁力,使钢液在水平方向形成旋转流动。随着频率的增加,磁感应强度逐渐减小、电磁力密度则先增加后减小。在频率一定的情况下,通电线圈电压的增加可导致电磁力密度的增大,通过相关物理理论可对其进行合理解释。  相似文献

A Gaussian wave packet confined to move on a plane perpendicular to a magnetic field remains a Gaussian wave packet in its time evolution. The average position and momentum follow the Ehrenfest equations which are identical to the classical Hamilton equations. A set of nonlinear equations decoupled from the Ehrenfest equation is derived for the parameters describing the time evolution of the density distribution and phases of a wave packet. Explicit solutions are then obtained when the "internal" angular momentum of the wave packet vanishes. In this case it is shown that the motion of the wave packet is a superposition of a translational motion, a rotation and a vibration.  相似文献

在理想无限长直高温超导 -永磁导轨系统中 ,由于导轨磁场分布的不均匀性 ,超导体运动过程中所处外磁场有对称及不对称分布两种情况。原 Prigozhin模型假设超导体各向同性 ,但 YBCO高温超导体存在明显的各向异性。改进Prigozhin模型增加了原模型中的约束条件 ,考虑了这种各向异性。在对称外磁场中改进 Prigozhin模型的计算结果和原Prizhogin模型相同 ,因为原模型在对称外磁场中自然满足超导体各向异性。在不对称外磁场中计算结果和实验结果吻合较好 ,而原模型计算结果和实验结果差别较大。所以改进模型考虑了各向异性 ,适用于对称和不对称外磁场 ,能得到更准确的计算结果。  相似文献

Two methods are described to determine local parameters of the unsteady asymmetric plasma. The basis of one method is the parametric approach. This method is used to determine plasma parameters in the case when an assumption can be made on the shape of the intensity isolines. The temperature field was calculated according to the intensity distributions in X direction obtained simultaneously from two lines of sight. The second method was applied for measurements in arbitrary plasma configuration. In this case the temperature fields were calculated according to measurements from lines of sight simultaneously, and the obtained data were used in the Radon transformation inversion.  相似文献
