Sharp norm estimates for a class of integral operators

ABSTRACT

Norm comparison inequalities for two integral operators with radial kernels are established. Sharp norm estimates for operators with monotone and convex/concave kernels are obtained. Integral analogues of Bennett's estimates for summability matrices are given. The exact operator norms with power weights are also obtained for a class of integral operators with radial quasimonotone kernels.

Extrapolation of compactness on weighted spaces: Bilinear operators

In a previous paper, we obtained several “compact versions” of Rubio de Francia’s weighted extrapolation theorem, which allowed us to extrapolate the compactness of linear operators from just one space to the full range of weighted Lebesgue spaces, where these operators are bounded. In this paper, we study the extrapolation of compactness for bilinear operators in terms of bilinear Muckenhoupt weights. As applications, we easily recover and improve earlier results on the weighted compactness of commutators of bilinear Calderón–Zygmund operators, bilinear fractional integrals and bilinear Fourier multipliers. More general versions of these results are recently due to Cao, Olivo and Yabuta (arXiv:2011.13191), whose approach depends on developing weighted versions of the Fréchet–Kolmogorov criterion of compactness, whereas we avoid this by relying on “softer” tools, which might have an independent interest in view of further extensions of the method.

Weighted estimates for multilinear pseudodifferential operators

In this paper,we study the weighted estimates for multilinear pseudodifferential operators.We show that a multilinear pseudodifferential operator is bounded with respect to multiple weights whenever its symbol satisfies some smoothness and decay conditions.Our result generalizes similar ones from the classical Ap weights to multiple weights.     

Weakly Compact Composition Operators on Locally Convex Spaces

Let E be a complete, barrelled locally convex space, let V = (v_n) be an increasing sequence of strictly positive, radial, continuous, bounded weights on the unit disc 𝔻 of the complex plane, and let φ be an analytic self map on 𝔻. The composition operators C_φ : f → f ○ φ on the weighted space of holomorphic functions HV (𝔻, E) which map bounded sets into relatively weakly compact subsets are characterized. Our approach requires a study of wedge operators between spaces of continuous linear maps between locally convex spaces which extends results of Saksman and Tylli [31, 32], and a representation of the space HV (𝔻, E) as a space of operators which complements work by Bierstedt , Bonet and Galbis [4] and by Bierstedt and Holtmanns [6].     

Local Approximation by Generalized Baskakov–Durrmeyer Operators

The paper deals with general Baskakov–Durrmeyer operators containing several previous definitions as special cases. The main results include the local rate of convergence, which is proved based on a representation of the kernel functions in terms of Jacobi polynomials and the complete asymptotic expansion for the sequence of these operators. In obtaining the expansion for simultaneous approximation, a key step is the use of a combinatorical identity for derivatives with weights.     

Existence of Solutions for Nonlinear Implicit Differential Equations: An Equilibrium Problem Approach

In this article, we study the existence of solutions for nonlinear implicit differential equations associated to a time-dependent pseudomonotone (respectively, quasimonotone) operator by using a new approach based on the theory of equilibrium \hboxproblems. More precisely, we first establish some existence results of solutions for mixed equilibrium problems where the \hboxbifunctions are, respectively, maximal monotone and \hboxpseudomonotone (quasimonotone) in the topological sense. Then, we write the nonlinear implicit differential equations in the form of a mixed equilibrium problem. By using the existence results for mixed equilibrium problems, we establish the existence of solutions of nonlinear implicit differential equations. This new approach provides some new and nice results which improve and unify most of the recent results obtained in this direction.     

Results on Uniqueness Problem for Meromorphic Mappings Sharing Moving Hyperplanes in General Position Under More General and Weak Conditions

The aim of the paper is to deal with the algebraic dependence and uniqueness problem for meromorphic mappings by using the new second main theorem with different weights involved the truncated counting functions, and some interesting uniqueness results are obtained under more general and weak conditions where the moving hyperplanes in general position are partly shared by mappings from Cⁿ into Pⁿ (C), which can be seen as the improvements of previous well-known results.     

Existence,non-existence and regularity of radial ground states for p-Laplacian equations with singular weights

By the Mountain Pass Theorem and the constrained minimization method existence of positive or compactly supported radial ground states for quasilinear singular elliptic equations with weights are established. The paper also includes the discussion of regularity and the validity of useful qualitative properties of the solutions, which seems of independent interest. Finally, a Pohozaev type identity is produced to deduce some non-existence results.     

On Fatou Type Convergence of Convolution Type Double Singular Integral Operators

In this paper, some approximation formulae for a class of convolution type double singular integral operators depending on three parameters of the type(T_λf)(x, y) = ∫_a~b ∫_a~b f(t, s)K_λ(t-x,s-y)dsdt, x,y ∈(a,b), λ∈Λ  [0,∞),(0.1)are given. Here f belongs to the function space L_1( a,b ~2), where a,b is an arbitrary interval in R. In this paper three theorems are proved, one for existence of the operator(T_λf)(x, y) and the others for its Fatou-type pointwise convergence to f(x_0, y_0), as(x,y,λ) tends to(x_0, y_0, λ_0). In contrast to previous works, the kernel functions K_λ(u,v)don't have to be 2π-periodic, positive, even and radial. Our results improve and extend some of the previous results of [1, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13] in three dimensional frame and especially the very recent paper [15].     

A sharp estimate for extremal functions

We prove a sharp pointwise estimate for extremal functions of invariant subspaces of some weighted Bergman spaces on the unit disk. The allowed weights include standard radial weights and logarithmically subharmonic weights.

     

Boundedness properties for a class of integral operators including the index transforms and the operators with complex Gaussian kernels

In this paper we study the behavior of general integral operators on weighted L^p spaces. Particular cases include the main index transforms and the operators with complex Gaussian kernels. We also extend some previous results established in [E.R. Negrin, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 123 (1995) 1185-1190].     

Existence of pulses in excitable media with nonlocal coupling

We prove the existence of fast traveling pulse solutions in excitable media with non-local coupling. Existence results had been known, until now, in the case of local, diffusive coupling and in the case of a discrete medium, with finite-range, non-local coupling. Our approach replaces methods from geometric singular perturbation theory, that had been crucial in previous existence proofs, by a PDE oriented approach, relying on exponential weights, Fredholm theory, and commutator estimates.     

Hardy type inequalities with kernels: The current status and some new results

We consider the general Hardy type operator where is a positive and measurable kernel. To characterize the weights u and v so that is still an open problem for any parameters p and q . However, for special cases the solution is known for some parameters p and q . In this paper the current status of this problem is described and discussed mainly for the case In particular, some new scales of characterizations in classical situations are described, some new proofs and results are given and open questions are raised.

Mixed Norm Inequalities for Directional Operators Associated to Potentials

We study mixed norm inequalities for directional operators which appear applying the method of rotations to homogeneous operators with variable kernel and with the homogeneity of Riesz potentials. The results are sharp for a range of values of the parameter and for all its values when the inequalities are restricted to radial functions.
