Two‐level penalty finite volume method for the stationary Navier–Stokes equations based on the P1 ? P0 element is considered in this paper. The method involves solving one small penalty Navier–Stokes problem on a coarse mesh with mesh size H = ?1 / 4h1 / 2, a large penalty Stokes problem on a fine mesh with mesh size h, where 0 < ? < 1 is a penalty parameter. The method we study provides an approximate solution with the convergence rate of same order as the penalty finite volume solution (u?h,p?h), which involves solving one large penalty Navier–Stokes problem on a fine mesh with the same mesh size h. In this paper, stability and bifurcation of a two‐dimensional ratio‐dependence predator–prey model has been studied in the close first quadrant . It is proved that the model undergoes a period‐doubling bifurcation in a small neighborhood of a boundary equilibrium and moreover, Neimark–Sacker bifurcation occurs at a unique positive equilibrium. We study the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation at unique positive equilibrium by choosing b as a bifurcation parameter. Some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate theocratical results. In this paper we continue the investigation of the asymptotic behavior of the parallel volume in Minkowski spaces as the distance tends to infinity that was started in 8 and 9 . Our main result is that the derivative of the difference between the parallel volume of the convex hull of a planar body and the parallel volume of the body itself tends to 0 for at order . We will use this result to examine Brownian paths and Boolean models.  相似文献

Here we give a new approach to the Paley–Wiener theorem in a Mellin analysis setting which avoids the use of the Riemann surface of the logarithm and analytical branches and is based on new concepts of polar‐analytic function in the Mellin setting and Mellin–Bernstein spaces. A notion of Hardy spaces in the Mellin setting is also given along with applications to exponential sampling formulas of optical physics.  相似文献

We consider a time‐dependent and a steady linear convection‐diffusion‐reaction equation whose coefficients are nonconstant. Boundary conditions are mixed (Dirichlet and Robin–Neumann) and nonhomogeneous. Both the unsteady and the steady problem are approximately solved by a combined finite element–finite volume method: the diffusion term is discretized by Crouzeix–Raviart piecewise linear finite elements on a triangular grid, and the convection term by upwind barycentric finite volumes. In the unsteady case, the implicit Euler method is used as time discretization. The ‐ and the ‐error in the unsteady case and the H1‐error in the steady one are estimated against the data, in such a way that no parameter enters exponentially into the constants involved. © 2016Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We employ a classical result by Toeplitz (1913) and the seminal work by Bohnenblust and Hille on Dirichlet series (1931) to show that the set of continuous m‐homogeneous non‐analytic polynomials on c 0 contains an isomorphic copy of ℓ1. Moreover, we can have this copy of ℓ1 in such a way that every non‐zero element of it fails to be analytic at precisely the same point.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a non‐smooth atomic decomposition by using a smooth atomic decomposition. Applying the non‐smooth atomic decomposition, a local means characterization and a quarkonical decomposition, we obtain a pointwise multiplier and a trace operator for generalized Besov–Morrey spaces and generalized Triebel–Lizorkin–Morrey spaces on the whole space. We also develop the theory of those spaces on domains. We consider an extension operator and a trace operator on the upper half space and on compact oriented Riemannian manifolds.  相似文献

We introduce, characterise and provide a combinatorial interpretation for the so‐called q‐Jacobi–Stirling numbers. This study is motivated by their key role in the (reciprocal) expansion of any power of a second order q‐differential operator having the q‐classical polynomials as eigenfunctions in terms of other even order operators, which we explicitly construct in this work. The results here obtained can be viewed as the q‐version of those given by Everitt et al. and by the first author, whilst the combinatorics of this new set of numbers is a q‐version of the Jacobi–Stirling numbers given by Gelineau and the second author.  相似文献

We study an initial and boundary value problem modelling the motion of a rigid body in a heat conducting gas. The solid is supposed to be a perfect thermal insulator. The gas is described by the compressible Navier–Stokes–Fourier equations, whereas the motion of the solid is governed by Newton's laws. The main results assert the existence of strong solutions, in an ‐ setting, both locally in time and globally in time for small data. The proof is essentially using the maximal regularity property of associated linear systems. This property is checked by proving the ‐sectoriality of the corresponding operators, which in turn is obtained by a perturbation method.  相似文献

A classical result of Sherman says that if the space of self‐adjoint elements in a ‐algebra is a lattice with respect to its canonical order, then is commutative. We give a new proof of this theorem which shows that it is intrinsically connected with the spectral theory of positive operator semigroups. Our methods also show that some important Perron–Frobenius like spectral results fail to hold in any non‐commutative ‐algebra.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the locally uniformly non‐square point of Orlicz–Bochner sequence spaces endowed with Luxemburg norm. Analysing and combining the generating function M and properties of the real Banach space X , we get sufficient and necessary conditions of locally uniformly non‐square point, which contributes to criteria for locally uniform non‐squareness in Orlicz–Bochner sequence spaces. The results generalize the corresponding results in the classical Orlicz sequence spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a generalization of the Schauder and Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorems in Dunford–Pettis spaces. Both of these theorems can be used to resolve some open problems posed by Jeribi (Nonlinear Anal.: Real World Appl. 2002; 3 :85–105); and Latrach (J. Math. Phys. 1996; 37 :1336–1348).
