We prove nilpotency of the alternator ideal of a finitely generated binary (-1,1)-algebra. An algebra is a binary (-1,1)-algebra if its every 2-generated subalgebra is an algebra of type (-1,1). While proving the main theorem we obtain various consequences: a prime finitely generated binary (-1,1)-algebra is alternative; the Mikheev radical of an arbitrary binary (-1,1)-algebra coincides with the locally nilpotent radical; a simple binary (-1,1)-algebra is alternative; the radical of a free finitely generated binary (-1,1)-algebra is solvable. Moreover, from the main result we derive nilpotency of the radical of a finitely generated binary (-1,1)-algebra with an essential identity. 相似文献

on singular closed trajectory through a saddle point in the whole plane,

A left ideal of any -algebra is an example of an operator algebra with a right contractive approximate identity (r.c.a.i.). Conversely, we show here that operator algebras with a r.c.a.i. should be studied in terms of a certain left ideal of a -algebra. We study operator algebras and their multiplier algebras from the perspective of ``Hamana theory' and using the multiplier algebras introduced by the first author.

In formulating a generalized framework to study certain noncommutative algebras naturally arising in representation theory, K. A. Brown asked if every finitely generated Hopf algebra satisfying a polynomial identity was finite over a normal commutative Hopf subalgebra. In this note we show that Radford's biproduct, applied to the enveloping algebra of the Lie superalgebra , provides a noetherian prime counterexample.

In this note we define a new topology on C(X),the set of all real-valued continuous functions on a Tychonoff space X.The new topology on C(X) is the topology having subbase open sets of both kinds:[f,C,ε[={g E C(X):|f(x)-g(x)| ε for every x∈C} and[U,r]~-={g∈C(X):g~(-1)(r)∩U≠φ},where f∈C(X),C∈KC(X)={nonempty compact subsets of X},ε 0,while U is an open subset of X and r∈R.The space C(X) equipped with the new topology T_(kh) which is stated above is denoted by C_(kh)(X).Denote X_0={x∈X:x is an isolated point of X} and X_c={x∈X:x has a compact neighborhood in X}.We show that if X is a Tychonoff space such that X_0=X_c,then the following statements are equivalent:(1) X_0 is G_δ-dense in X;(2) C_(kh)(X) is regular;(3) C_(kh)(X) is Tychonoff;(4) C_(kh)(X) is a topological group.We also show that if X is a Tychonoff space such that X_0=X_c and C_(kh)(X) is regular space with countable pseudocharacter,then X is σ-compact.If X is a metrizable hemicompact countable space,then C_(kh)(X) is first countable. 相似文献

We show that if a compact quantum semigroup satisfies certain weak cancellation laws, then it admits a Haar measure, and using this we show that it is a compact quantum group. Thus, we obtain a new characterization of a compact quantum group. We also give a necessary and sufficient algebraic condition for the Haar measure of a compact quantum group to be faithful, in the case that its coordinate -algebra is exact. A representation is given for the linear dual of the Hopf -algebra of a compact quantum group, and a functional calculus for unbounded linear functionals is derived.
