The first boundary value problem is studied for a linear hyperbolic equation in a rectangle with a power degeneracy on one of its sides for different degrees of degeneracy. A uniqueness criterion is established. The solution is constructed as the sum of a Fourier series. The problem of small denominators arises when justifying the convergence of this series. In this connection, some estimates for the separation of the small denominators from zero are established with the corresponding asymptotics specified. It is these asymptotics that have made it possible to substantiate the existence of a regular problem solution.  相似文献

We consider a boundary-value problem for a mixed-type equation with two perpendicular singularity lines given in a domain whose elliptic part is a rectangle, while the hyperbolic one is a vertical half-strip. This problem differs from the Dirichlet one by the fact that at the left boundary of the rectangle and the half-strip we specify the vanishing order of the desired function rather than its value. We find a solution to the problem by a spectral method with the use of the Fourier–Bessel series and prove the uniqueness of the solution. We substantiate the uniform convergence of the corresponding series under certain requirements to the problem statement.  相似文献

A nonlocal boundary value problem for Laplace’s equation on a rectangle is considered. Dirichlet boundary conditions are set on three sides of the rectangle, while the boundary values on the fourth side are sought using the condition that they are equal to the trace of the solution on the parallel midline of the rectangle. A simple proof of the existence and uniqueness of a solution to this problem is given. Assuming that the boundary values given on three sides have a second derivative satisfying a Hölder condition, a finite difference method is proposed that produces a uniform approximation (on a square mesh) of the solution to the problem with second order accuracy in space. The method can be used to find an approximate solution of a similar nonlocal boundary value problem for Poisson’s equation.  相似文献

The rates of convergence of two Schwarz alternating methods are analyzed for the iterative solution of a discrete problem which arises when orthogonal spline collocation with piecewise Hermite bicubics is applied to the Dirichlet problem for Poisson's equation on a rectangle. In the first method, the rectangle is divided into two overlapping subrectangles, while three overlapping subrectangles are used in the second method. Fourier analysis is used to obtain explicit formulas for the convergence factors by which theH 1-norm of the errors is reduced in one iteration of the Schwarz methods. It is shown numerically that while these factors depend on the size of overlap, they are independent of the partition stepsize. Results of numerical experiments are presented which confirm the established rates of convergence of the Schwarz methods.This research was supported in part by funds from the National Science Foundation grant CCR-9103451.  相似文献

The problems of optimal multiplicative control for the Helmholtz equation and the diffusion equation are studied. The control function is included multiplicatively in a mixed-type boundary condition specified on the entire domain boundary or its part. For each of the models under study, an iterative method for determining an approximate solution is constructed and theoretically substantiated for sufficiently large values of the regularization parameter.  相似文献

A problem with inhomogeneous boundary and initial conditions is studied for an inhomogeneous equation of mixed parabolic-hyperbolic type in a rectangular domain. The solution is constructed as the sum of an orthogonal series. A criterion for the uniqueness of the solution is established. It is shown that the uniqueness of the solution and the convergence of the series depend on the ratio of the sides of the rectangle from the hyperbolic part of the mixed domain. On the basis of this problem, inverse problems for finding the factors of the time-dependent right-hand sides of the original equation of mixed type are stated and studied for the first time. The corresponding uniqueness theorems and the existence of solutions are proved using the theory of integral equations for inverse problems.  相似文献

We consider a nonclassical boundary value problem for the transport equation. The particle transport process is described by a stationary linear integro-differential equation, and the outgoing particle flux density on some part of the boundary is specified as the boundary condition. We find the particle flux density for a given outgoing flux and known coefficients of the equation. We show that, under some restrictions on the medium, there exists a unique solution of the problem, which can be represented by an infinite convergent series.  相似文献

We study functional differential equations with unbounded operator coefficients in Hilbert spaces such that the principal part of the equation is an abstract hyperbolic equation perturbed by terms with delay and terms containing Volterra integral operators. 本文中求解了双向受力不等的矩形、圆形、椭圆形平面薄膜的自振频率与振型,还给出了任意外形边界的平面薄膜的近似解.矩形薄膜,先经过坐标变换将方程变换成常见的薄膜振动方程,因此很容易求得解.圆形薄膜.先将坐标作与上述同样的变换,再把它变换成椭圆坐标,将方程化为马丢(Mathieu)方程,这样利用马丢函数的性质,不难求得其解.椭圆形薄膜解法与圆形薄膜相似.文末还给出了例题.  相似文献

A method is developed for constructing the conformal map ofa distorted region onto a rectangle. A discrete Fourier transformis used to map the boundary of the region onto the boundaryof the rectangle; the resulting equations may be solved usinga fast Fourier transform algorithm. The map for internal pointsmay then be constructed using a standard Laplace equation solver.The method is computationally competitive, and is applicableto field problems, for instance in fluid mechanics.  相似文献

We study the nonstationary flow of an incompressible fluid in a thin rectangle with an elastic plate as the upper part of the boundary. The flow is governed by a time-dependent pressure drop and an external force and it is modeled by Stokes equations. The dynamic of this fluid–structure interaction problem is studied in the limit when the thickness of the fluid domain tends to zero. Using the asymptotic techniques, we obtain for the effective plate displacement a sixth-order parabolic equation with a non standard boundary conditions. Results on existence, uniqueness and regularity of the solution are proved. The approximation is justified through a weak convergence theorem.  相似文献

The inverse problems of determining the source and coefficient of an elliptic equation in a rectangle are studied. Additional information on the solution to the direct problem (overdetermination) is the trace of its solution on an interval inside the rectangle. Sufficient existence and uniqueness conditions (global) are derived for the inverse problems. In this paper, we are interested in the inverse problem for the biharmonic equation posed on a rectangle, which is of great importance in many areas of industry and engineering. We show that the problem under consideration is ill-posed; therefore, to solve it, we opted for a regularization method via modified auxiliary boundary conditions. The numerical implementation is based on the application of the semidiscrete finite difference method for a sequence of well-posed direct problems depending on a small parameter of regularization. Numerical results are performed for a rectangle domain showing the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献
