We study the prolongation of semibasic projectable tangent valued k-forms on fibered manifolds with respect to a bundle functor F on local isomorphisms that is based on the flow prolongation of vector fields and uses an auxiliary linear r-th order connection on the base manifold, where r is the base order of F. We find a general condition under which the Frölicher-Nijenhuis bracket is preserved. Special attention is paid to the curvature of connections. The first order jet functor and the tangent functor are discussed in detail. Next we clarify how this prolongation procedure can be extended to arbitrary projectable tangent valued k-forms in the case F is a fiber product preserving bundle functor on the category of fibered manifolds with m-dimensional bases and local diffeomorphisms as base maps.  相似文献

We prove a general categorical theorem that enables us to state that under certain conditions, the range of a functor is large. As an application, we prove various results of which the following is a prototype: If every diagram, indexed by a lattice, of finite Boolean 〈∨ ,0 〉-semilattices with 〈∨ ,0 〉-embeddings, can be lifted, with respect to the Conc functor, by a diagram of lattices, then so can every diagram, indexed by a lattice, of finite distributive 〈∨ ,0 〉-semilattices with 〈∨ ,0 〉-embeddings. If the premise of this statement held, this would solve in turn the (still open) problem whether every distributive algebraic lattice is isomorphic to the congruence lattice of a lattice. Letk be a field of characteristic 0 and letA be a supercommutative associativek-superalgebra. LetL be ak−A-Lie-Rinehart superalgebra. From these data, one can construct a superalgebra of differential operatorsV(A,L) (generalizing the enveloping superalgebra of a Lie superalgebra). We will give a difinition of Lie-Rinehart superalgebra morphisms allowing to generalize the notions of inverse image and direct image. We will prove that a Lie-Rinehart superalgebra morphism decomposes into a closed imbedding and a projection. Furthermore, we will see that, under some technical conditions, a closed imbedding decomposes into two closed imbeddings of different nature. The first one looks like a Lie superalgebra morphism. The second one looks like a supermanifold closed imbedding and satisfies a generalization of the Kashiwara’s theorem. Then, as in theD-module theory, we introduce a duality functor. Finally, we will prove that, in the closed imbedding case, the direct image and the duality functor commute.  相似文献

The standard reduced bar complex B(A) of a differential graded algebra A inherits a natural commutative algebra structure if A is a commutative algebra. We address an extension of this construction in the context of E-infinity algebras. We prove that the bar complex of any E-infinity algebra can be equipped with the structure of an E-infinity algebra so that the bar construction defines a functor from E-infinity algebras to E-infinity algebras. We prove the homotopy uniqueness of such natural E-infinity structures on the bar construction.We apply our construction to cochain complexes of topological spaces, which are instances of E-infinity algebras. We prove that the n-th iterated bar complexes of the cochain algebra of a space X is equivalent to the cochain complex of the n-fold iterated loop space of X, under reasonable connectedness, completeness and finiteness assumptions on X.  相似文献

Most results on the structure of lattice-ordered fields require that the field have a positive multiplicative identity. We construct a functor from the category of lattice-ordered fields with a vector space basis of d-elements to the full subcategory of such fields with positive multiplicative identities. This functor is a left adjoint to the forgetful functor and, in many cases, allows us to write all compatible lattice orders in terms of orders with positive multiplicative identities. We also use these results to characterize algebraically those extensions of totally ordered fields that have vℓ-bases of d-elements. Let F/E be an abelian Galois extension of function fields over an algebraic closed field K of characteristic p > 0. Denote by G the Galois group of the extension F/E. In this paper, we study Ω(m), the space of holomorphic m‐(poly)differentials of the function field of F when G is cyclic or a certain elementary abelian group of order pn; we give bases for each case when the base field is rational, introduce the Boseck invariants and give an elementary approach to the G module structure of Ω(m) in terms of Boseck invariants. The last computation is achieved without any restriction on the base field in the cyclic case, while in the elementary abelian case it is assumed that the base field is rational. Finally, an application to the computation of the tangent space of the deformation functor of curves with automorphisms is given.  相似文献

We prove that the functor of tensor multiplication by a right S-poset (S is a pomonoid) preserves all small weighted limits if and only if this S-poset is cyclic and projective. We obtain a simplicial group model for localization of (not necessarily nilpotent) spaces at sets of primes by applying a suitable functor dimensionwise, as in earlier work of Quillen and Bousfield-Kan. For a set of primesP and any groupG, letG→L PG be a universal homomorphism fromG into a group which is uniquely divisible by primes not inP, and denote also byL P the prolongation of this functor to simplicial groups. We prove that, ifX is any connected simplicial set andJ is any free simplicial group which is a model for the loop space ΩX, then the classifying space is homotopy equivalent to the localization ofX atP. Thus, there is a map which is universal among maps fromX into spacesY for which the semidirect products πκ(Y)⋊ π1(Y) are uniquely divisible by primes not inP. This approach also yields a neat construction of fibrewise localization. We give a relation between the dimension of the tangent space of the deformation functor of curves with automorphisms and the Galois module structure of the space of 2-holomorphic differentials. We prove a homological version of the local-global principle similar to the one of J. Bertin and A. Mézard. Let G be a cyclic subgroup of the group of automorphisms of a curve X, so that the order of G is equal to the characteristic. By using the results of S. Nakajima on the Galois module structure of the space of 2-holomorphic differentials, we compute the dimension of the tangent space of the deformation functor.  相似文献

The isomorphic properties of the Orlicz function spacesL M (0, ∞) are investigated. Especially we treat the question, whether theL p-spaces are the only symmetric function spaces on (0, ∞), which are isomorphic to a symmetric function space on (0, 1). For the class of slowly varying Orlicz functions we answer this in the affirmative, and we also prove some results concerning the general case, which indicate, that it might be true there also.  相似文献

We lift Bloch's higher Chow construction from the level of simplicial sets to the level of simplicial spaces. We construct a simplicial space that becomes isomorphic to the Bloch/Chow complex when the functor 0 is applied in each degree. The homotopy groups of this space are theE 2-terms in an Atiyah-Hirzebruch spectral sequence converging to algebraicK-theory. TheseE 2-terms map nontrivially to the expected higher Chow groups. We define and compute several intermediate invariants associated to our simplicial space.  相似文献

We study maximal Hom-free sets in the τ[2]-orbit category C(Q) of the bounded derived category for the path algebra associated to a Dynkin quiver Q, where τ denotes the Auslander–Reiten translation and [2] denotes the square of the shift functor. We prove that these sets are in bijection with periodic combinatorial configurations, as introduced by Riedtmann, certain Hom ≤0-configurations, studied by Buan, Reiten and Thomas, and noncrossing partitions of the Coxeter group associated to Q which are not contained in any proper standard parabolic subgroup. Note that Reading has proved that these noncrossing partitions are in bijection with positive clusters in the associated cluster algebra. Finally, we give a definition of mutation of maximal Hom-free sets in C(Q)\mathcal {C}(Q) and prove that the graph of these mutations is connected.  相似文献

A non-classical Godeaux surface is a minimal surface of general type with χ = K 2 = 1 but with h 01 ≠ 0. We prove that such surfaces fulfill h 01 = 1 and they can exist only over fields of positive characteristic at most 5. Like non-classical Enriques surfaces they fall into two classes: the singular and the supersingular ones. We give a complete classification in characteristic 5 and compute their Hodge-, Hodge–Witt- and crystalline cohomology (including torsion). Finally, we give an example of a supersingular Godeaux surface in characteristic 5.  相似文献

We consider the walled Brauer algebra Br k, l(n) introduced by V. Turaev and K. Koike. We prove that it is a subalgebra of the Brauer algebra and that it is isomorphic, for sufficiently large n ∈ ℕ, to the centralizer algebra of the diagonal action of the group GLn(ℂ) in a mixed tensor space. We also give the presentation of the algebra Br k, l(n) by generators and relations. For a generic value of the parameter, the algebra is semisimple, and in this case we describe the Bratteli diagram for this family of algebras and give realizations for the irreducible representations. We also give a new, more natural proof of the formulas for the characters of the walled Brauer algebras. The Lie jet L θ λ of a field of geometric objects λ on a smooth manifold M with respect to a field θ of Weil A-velocities is a generalization of the Lie derivative L v λ of a field λ with respect to a vector field v. In this paper, Lie jets L θ λ are applied to the study of A-smooth diffeomorphisms on a Weil bundle T A M of a smooth manifold M, which are symmetries of prolongations of geometric objects from M to T A M. It is shown that vanishing of a Lie jet L θ λ is a necessary and sufficient condition for the prolongation λ A of a field of geometric objects λ to be invariant with respect to the transformation of the Weil bundle T A M induced by the field θ. The case of symmetries of prolongations of fields of geometric objects to the second-order tangent bundle T 2 M are considered in more detail.  相似文献

In the numerical computation of hyperbolic equations it is not practical to use infinite domains. Instead, one truncates the domain with an artificial boundary. In this study we construct a sequence of radiating boundary conditions for wave-like equations. We prove that as the artificial boundary is moved to infinity the solution approaches the solution of the infinite domain as O(r?m?1/2) for the m-th boundary condition. Numerical experiments with problems in jet acoustics verify the practical nature and utility of the boundary conditions.  相似文献
