The diffusion of strontium atoms on the Si(111) surface at room temperature has been investigated using scanning tunnel microscopy and simulation carried out in terms of the density functional theory and the Monte Carlo method. It has been found that the reconstruction of a clean silicon surface with a 7 × 7 structure has a profound effect on the diffusion process. The average velocity of motion of a strontium atom in a unit cell of the 7 × 7 structure has been calculated. The main diffusion paths of a strontium atom and the corresponding activation energies have been determined. It has been demonstrated that the formation of scanning tunnel microscope images of the Si(111)-7 × 7 surface with adsorbed strontium atoms is significantly affected by the shift of the electron density from the strontium atom to the nearest neighbor silicon adatoms in the 7 × 7 structure.  相似文献

The phase composition, electronic structure, and magnetic properties of ultrathin cobalt films (no thicker than 20 ?) applied on a Si(111)7 × 7 surface at room temperature are studied by high-resolution photoelectron spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation and magnetic linear dichroism. It is shown that, as the cobalt thickness increases, first interface cobalt silicide and then an island (discontinuous) film of silicon-in-cobalt solid solution form on the silicon surface. A metal cobalt film starts growing after the deposition of a ∼7-?-thick Co layer. It is found that the ferromagnetic ordering of the system, which is characterized by surface magnetization, sets in after the deposition of a ∼6-?-Co layer at the stage of Co-Si solid solution formation.  相似文献

More than 70% of the total plasma current is sustained by the bootstrap current and current drive during the synergy of lower hybrid current driving (LHCD) and ion Berstein wave (IBW) heating on the HT-7 tokamak.The lower hybrid non-inductive current source is off-axis and well localized, and more than 35% bootstrap current plasma has been obtained. The IBW in controlling electron pressure profile can be integrated into the LHCD target plasma. The largest steep gradient of the electron pressure profile in the region ρ - 0.5-0.7 mostly comes from the electron temperature profile, which may induce the large fraction bootstrap current. The large off-axis bootstrap current can help to create negative magnetic shear, and the good plasma confinement is achieved.  相似文献

We report effects of heating to the intensities of Raman modes in the spectra of single-crystals embedded in ceramic YBa2Cu3O7– pellets, and compare the results with those from YBa2Cu3O7– thin-films. Heating was done by either increasing the laser-beam power or resistively heating in a heating cell. From the measurements on a single-crystal in z(xx) polarization, we find that the relative intensity of the B1g mode of the plane oxygens to that of the A1g mode of apical oxygens decreases strongly as the samples are heated. For a crystal in near x(zz) polarization, the relative intensity of the two modes increases up to certain value. In thin-films, however, no such change was observed even when heated to higher temperatures than the crystals were. Therefore, we interpret that the change in the relative intensity of the two modes of single-crystals is not due to electronic or structural changes nor thermal decomposition in the heated samples. We propose that a single-crystal, when heated, is fractured into many micro-crystals and these micro-crystals thermally fluctuate in orientations. For thin-films, such fluctuation in orientations might be hindered because there are only a few layers of micro-crystals on top of the substrate. Scanning electron micrographs (SEM) of the heated part of the samples seem to provide the evidence of the micro-crystals.  相似文献

By applying ion Bernstein wave (IBW) heating into the lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) plasma, improved confinements have been obtained in the HT-7 tokamak. The central electron temperature was doubled and the storage energy was increased significantly. The core electron density and temperature were broadened and ther profiles near the edge were steepened. A transport barrier has been formed in the vicinity of the limlter radial location. An enhanced shear in poloidal phase velocity was found in the same region with reduction of the fluctuation levels and the coherences between fluctuations. The results suggest that the improved confinement in the IBW and LHCD plasma is at least partially due to the modification of shear in poloidal velocity and then the suppression of fluctuations and fluctuation induced fluxes via de-correlation effect.  相似文献

The influence of final-state NN and πN rescattering in incoherent pion photoproduction on the deuteron has been investigated. For the elementary photoproduction operator an effective Lagrangian model is used which describes well the elementary reaction. The interactions in the final two-body subsystems are taken in separable form. While NN rescattering shows quite a significant effect, particularly strong for neutral pion production, πN rescattering is almost negligible. Inclusion of such effects leads to an improved and quite satisfactory agreement with experiment. This paper reports on a study of the adsorption of CO molecules on the surface of ytterbium nanofilms of different thicknesses, which were sublimed on Si(111)7 × 7 at room temperature. Dependences of two types were investigated: the surface concentration of adsorbed molecules vs. CO dose expressed in langmuirs and the work function of films vs. CO dose. It was shown that the behavior of these dependences is mediated by size effects and Friedel oscillations generated by the ytterbium-silicon interface. Both effects exert an influence on the binding of CO molecules to the surface. At low molecule concentrations, this binding is effected through lone electron pairs localized at the carbon ends of the molecules. These electrons form a donor-acceptor bond to the vacant 5d level of the metal, with the level dropping below the Fermi level. At high CO molecule concentrations, the pattern becomes more complex; indeed, the enhanced Coulomb interaction gives rise to a partial transfer of electrons from the 5d level to the vacant 2π* orbital of CO molecules.  相似文献

We study the statistical properties of volatility of price fluctuation for the Hang-Seng index in the Hong Kong stock market, they are measured by locally averaging over a time window T, the absolute value of price change over a short time interval Δt. The data include minute-by-minute records of the Hang-Seng index from 3 January 1994 to 28 May 1997. We find that the cumulative distribution of the volatility is consistent with the asymptotic power-law behaviour, characterized by the power exponent μ= 2.12 ± 0.04, different from that found in the previous studies as μ≈3. The volatility distribution remains the same asymptotic power-law behaviour for the time scales from T = 10 rain to T - 80 rain. Furthermore, we investigate the volatility correlations by using the power spectrum analysis and detrended fluctuation analysis. Both the methods show a long-range power-law decay with the exponent α=0.636±0.002.  相似文献

The local magnetism induced by vacancies in the presence of the spin–orbit interaction is investigated based on the half-filled Kane–Mele–Hubbard model on the honeycomb lattice. Using a self-consistent mean-field theory, we find that the spin–orbit coupling will enhance the localization of the spin moments near a single vacancy. We further study the magnetic structures along the zigzag edges formed by a chain of vacancies. We find that the spin–orbit coupling tends to suppress the counter-polarized ferrimagnetic order on the upper and lower edges, because of the open of the spin–orbit gap. As a result, in the case of the balance number of sublattices, it will suppress completely this kind of ferrimagnetic order. But, for the imbalance case, a ferrimagnetic order along both edges exists because additional zero modes will not be affected by the spin–orbit coupling.  相似文献

A systematic study of the weak-link behavior for YBa2Cu3O7−δ polycrystalline samples has been done using the electrical resistivity and AC susceptibility techniques. The experiments were performed with two samples of similar grain, a sample of well-coupled grains, and a deoxygenated sample in such a way that the oxygen mostly comes from the intergrain region. Analysis of the temperature dependence of the AC susceptibility near the transition temperature (Tc) has been done employing Bean's critical state model. The observed variation of intergranular critical current densities (Jc) with temperature indicates that the weak links are changed from superconductor normal–metal superconductor (SNS) for well-coupled samples to superconductor insulator normal–metal–superconductor (SINS) type of junctions for the deoxygenated sample. These results are interpreted in terms of oxygen depletion from grain boundaries, which in turn decreases the intergranular Josephson coupling energy with a concomitant decrease of pinning of the intergranular vortices.  相似文献

Oxide films obtained during anodization of Ti?40% Al sintered powder samples in fluorine-containing electrolytes are investigated. With scanning electron microscopy and X-ray phase analysis, it is demonstrated that an X-ray amorphous nanoporous anodic oxide film is formed on the surface of the powder microparticles under optimal anodization conditions. After annealing at T = 1093 K in air and vacuum (10?2 Pa), the oxide films are revealed to crystallize with its regular porous structure retained. The composition of the polycrystalline anodic-oxide films annealed in air is a mixture involving TiO2 (anatase and rutile) and α- and γ-Al2O3 phases and Ti2O3 and Al2TiO5 traces. The vacuum annealing process makes it possible to identify TiO2, in which anatase is the main phase, α- and γ-Al2O3, and Ti2O3 and TiO traces. However, rutile is not revealed. The presented results indicate that the application of the anodic nanostructuring of Ti?40% Al powders is promising for the obtainment of new photocatalytic active nanomaterials.  相似文献

It is the first time so far as we know that two arrays of multi-channel soft x-ray detectors are used to generate twodimensional (2D) images of sawtooth oscillation on the HT-7 tokamak using the Fourier-Bessel harmonic reconstruction method, and using the singular value decomposition to analyse the data from soft x-ray cameras. By these two arrays, 2D image reconstruction of soft x-ray emissivity can be obtained without assumption of plasma rigid rotation. Tomographic reconstruction of the m=1 mode structure is obtained during the precursor oscillation of the sawtooth crash. The crescent-shaped mode structure appearing on the contour map of the soft x-ray emissivity is consistent with the quasiinterchange mode. The characteristics of the m=1/n=1 mode structure observed in the soft x-ray tomography are as follows: the magnetic surface is made up of the crescent-shaped “hot core” and the circular “cold bubble”. The structure of the magnetic surface rotates in the direction of the electron diamagnetic drift and the rotation frequency is the oscillation frequency of soft x-ray signals.  相似文献

In experiments on the β decay of polarized neutrons where only the electron and proton momentum distributions are observed and the γ radiation is not registered, the asymmetry factor B of the antineutrino angular distribution cannot be obtained rigorously — the value of B is only estimated on the average by taking into consideration the expectation (mean) value 〈B〉 and the rms deviation ΔB. The resulting unavoidable ambiguities in the determination of B amount to several percent, which is significant for the present-day experimental attempts to obtain B to very high precision ∼(0.1–1)%. One of the pillars of the finance theory is the efficient-market hypothesis, which is used to analyze the stock market. However, in recent years, this hypothesis has been questioned by a number of studies showing evidence of unusual behaviors in the returns of financial assets (“anomalies”) caused by behavioral aspects of the economic agents. Therefore, it is time to initiate a debate about the efficient-market hypothesis and the “behavioral finances.” We here introduce a cellular automaton model to study the stock market complexity, considering different behaviors of the economical agents. From the analysis of the stationary standard of investment observed in the simulations and the Hurst exponents obtained for the term series of stock index, we draw conclusions concerning the complexity of the model compared to real markets. We also investigate which conditions of the investors are able to influence the efficient market hypothesis statements.  相似文献

Using the closed orbit theory, we studied the effects of dielectric discontinuity on the photodetachment of H? ions. The photodetachment cross-section of H? in a medium with dielectric discontinuity was derived and calculated. The results have shown that the relative dielectric constants of the medium have a significant influence on the photodetachment of H?. If H? is kept in a medium with a relative small dielectric constant, the photodetachment cross-section of H? becomes oscillating only in a small region above the ionization threshold. However, if H? is kept in a medium with a relative large dielectric constant, the oscillation in the photodetachment cross-section becomes much stronger. Besides, the distance between H? and the dielectric dividing interface also influences the photodetachment of H?. For a given dielectric medium, the oscillation in the cross-section decreased with increasing distance between H? and the dielectric dividing interface. Therefore, we can control the photodetachment of a negative ion by changing the dielectric constant and the ion–interface distance. This study provides a new understanding of the photodetachment process of negative ions in the presence of a dielectric medium.  相似文献

The absorption spectra of -irradiated solutions of some acid dyes in various solvents are investigated. The characteristic times of radiation-induced destruction of dyes in the solutions are determined. It is shown that irreversible radiative discoloration of solutions occurs as a result of the interaction of the dye molecules with the oxygen-containing radicals formed in radiolysis of solvents. Practical recommendations for increasing the radiation stability of the solutions of acid dyes and for using them as detectors of a dose of hard radiation are given.  相似文献
