Ir-catalyzed asymmetric allylic amination using chiral diaminophosphine oxides

An Ir-catalyzed asymmetric allylic amination using chiral diaminophosphine oxide is described. Asymmetric allylic amination of terminal allylic carbonates proceeded in the presence of 2 mol % of Ir catalyst, 2 mol % of chiral diaminophosphine oxide, 5 mol % of NaPF₆, and BSA, affording the chiral branched allylic amines in up to 95% ee.     

Ligand-assisted, copper-catalyzed enantioselective benzylic amination

Several classes of ligands, including α-amino acids, diamines, diphosphines, bis-oxazolines, and diimines, support efficient copper-catalyzed amination of benzylic hydrocarbons by anhydrous chloramine-T. Catalysts derived from homochiral ligands, particularly chiral diimines, effect aminosulfonation with low to moderate enantioselectivity.     

Synthesis and application to asymmetric allylic amination of substituted monodonor diazaphospholidine ligands

The synthesis of a series of substituted monodonor diazaphospholidine ligands is described. A regioselective lithiation process is a key step in one of these syntheses. The compounds are designed to be incorporated into soluble polymer and other solid phase supports. Enantiomeric excesses of up to 88% were observed when these compounds were employed in palladium-catalysed asymmetric amination reactions.
