High-spin states in ^129Cs are populated via the ^122Sn (^11B, 4n) reaction at beam energies of 55 and 60MeV. Two additional bands are placed in the level scheme and the previously known bands are extended to higher spins. The results are compared to the cranked shell model calculations and to the systematics of the adjacent Cs isotpoes. One of the new bands is interpreted as the 7-vibrational band built on the πh11/2 orbital. The possible configuration for another new band is discussed. Upbend caused by (Vh11/2)^2 alignment is observed both in the favored and unfavored sequences of the πh11/2 configuration. The band based on the πgτ/2 configuration at low spins forks around spin 17//2, and the two different S-bands are attributed to (Vh11/2)^2 and (πh11/2)^2 rotational alignments, respectively.  相似文献

High spin states in the neutron-rich ^108Mo nucleus are studied by measuring prompt γ-rays following the spontaneous fission of 252Cf with a Gammasphere detector array. The ground-state band is confirmed, and the one-phonon γ-vibrational band is updated with spin up to 12h. A new collective band with the band head level at 1422.4keV is suggested as a two-phonon γ-vibrational band. Another new band is proposed as a two-quasi- proton excitation band. Systematic characteristics of the collective bands are discussed.  相似文献

Low-lying and high-spin states of ^124 Cs are studied through the ^116 Sn(^11 B,3n)^124 Cs reaction at a beam energy of 45 MeV. Several new linking transitions are observed, including three transitions between the yrast and πh11/2 vd3/2 bands and two transitions between the yrast and πh11/2 v(d5/2, g7/2) bands. These transitions fix the excitation energy of the yrast band and its decay path, and confirm the existence of eight E1 finking transitions between the yrast and πh11/2 v(d5/2, 97/2) bands observed before. These E1 linking transitions infer the oetupole correlation in ^124Cs. The decay paths of the yrast band are investigated, and discrepancies in the level scheme of ^124Cs in the latest two studies are clarified. The reason for the discrepancies is discussed. A new decoupled band is established and temporarily assigned as the unfavored signature partner of πh11/2 vd3/2 configuration.  相似文献

Remarkable triaxiality is found in the high-K isomeric states of A-130 nuclei using the configuration-constrained calculations of potential-energy surfaces. The triaxiality gives the further understanding of the decay properties of the isomers. The calculation with triaxiality can well explain the measured quadrupole moment of the K^z=7^- isomer in ^130Ce.  相似文献

Three strongly coupled sequences have been established in 110,112Te up to high spins. They are interpreted in terms of deformed structures built on proton 1-particle–1-hole excitations that reach termination at I∼40?I40?. This is the first observation of smooth terminating dipole structures in this mass region. Lifetime measurements have allowed the extraction of experimental B(M1;I→I−1)B(M1;II1) and B(E2;I→I−2)B(E2;II2) reduced transition rates for one of the dipole bands in 110Te. The results support the deformed interpretation.  相似文献

Two interacting, strongly-deformed triaxial (TSD) bands have been identified in the Z=69Z=69 nucleus 163Tm. This is the first time that interacting TSD bands have been observed in an element other than the Z=71Z=71 Lu nuclei, where wobbling bands have been previously identified. The observed TSD bands in 163Tm appear to be associated with particle–hole excitations, rather than wobbling. Tilted-axis cranking (TAC) calculations reproduce all experimental observables of these bands reasonably well and also provide an explanation for the presence of wobbling bands in the Lu nuclei, and their absence in the Tm isotopes.  相似文献

A standard in-beam γ-spectroscopy experiment for 188Pt is performed via the176Yb(18O, 6n) reaction at beam energies of 88 and 95MeV, and the level scheme for 188Pt is established. Prolate and oblate shape coexistence has been demonstrated to occur in 188Pt by applying the projected shell model. The rotation alignment of i13/2 neutrons drives the yrast sequence changingsuddenly from prolate to oblate shape at angular momentum 10h, indicating likely a new type of shape phase transition along the yrast line in 188Pt.  相似文献

High-spin states of ^160Tm are studied by the ^146 Nd(^19F, 5n) reaction at a beam energy of 102 MeV. The previously known πh11/2 + vi13/2 yrast band and πh11/2 + vh9/2 side band are confirmed. The level scheme is enriched and more low-lying levels are observed. A new side band is observed and assigned as the favoured signature partner of πd3/2 + vi13/2. The spin of this band is assigned with the energy level systematics. It is pointed out that the B (M1)/B (E2) ratios increase rapidly at the high frequency approaching the second crossing in the π h11/2 + vi13/2 braid, which is closely related to the alignment gain of the aligned i13/2 quasineutron.  相似文献

The high spin states of a neutron-rich ^107 Tc nucleus are reinvestigated by observing prompt γ-rays from the spontaneous fission of ^252 Cf. The previous level scheme is updated. A collective band based on the π5/2- [303] orbital is confirmed and extended. Inconsistencies in the configuration assignments for a type of positive parity bands of odd-A 105,107,109 Tc in the previous reports are clarified according to the g factor calculations. A new band based on the 1499.5 keV level in ^107Tc is proposed as a two-phonon γ-vibrational band.  相似文献

Levels in the neutron-rich ^105Mo nucleus have been investigated by observing prompt γ-rays following the spontaneous fission fragments of^252 Cf with the Gammasphere detector array. The yrast band has been confirmed and updated. The other two collective bands with the band head levels at 870.5 and 1534.6 keV are newly observed, and they are suggested as the candidates for one-phonon K= 9/2 and two-phonon K = 13/2 double γ-vibrational bands, respectively. Collective bands in the neutron-rich 103Nb nucleus have been investigated by measuring prompt γ-rays following spontaneous fission of 252Cf. Three new bands have been identified. The band based on the 716.8 keV level is proposed as a candidate for the Kπ=9/2+Kπ=9/2+ one-phonon γ  -vibrational band, and the band built on the 1282.1 keV level is proposed as a candidate for the Kπ=13/2+Kπ=13/2+ two-phonon γ-vibrational band. The two-phonon γ-vibrational band is the first such band identified in odd-Z nuclei.  相似文献

The lifetime of an excited state above a weakly populated isomer in the proton-unbound odd–odd nucleus 144Ho has been measured using the recoil distance Doppler shift method. This measurement represents the first differential-plunger lifetime measurement to utilize recoil-isomer tagging. The first excited Iπ=(10+)Iπ=(10+) state above the two-quasiparticle πh11/2⊗νh11/2(8+)πh11/2νh11/2(8+) isomer was determined to have a lifetime of τ=6(1) psτ=6(1) ps. Potential energy surface calculations, based on the configuration-constrained blocking method, predict the isomeric state to have γ  -soft triaxial-nuclear shape with |γ|≈24°|γ|24°. The lifetime of the (10+)(10+) state can be understood from these calculations if there is a degree of rotational alignment in this band, with the K value being lower than the bandhead spin. However, the validity of the K quantum number with large predicted triaxiality and gamma softness requires further theoretical study.  相似文献

Rotational structures at ultrahigh spin in ^157,158,159 Er have been investigated with the configuration-dependent cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky approach. Configurations of observed bands are assigned and the corresponding deformations are given theoretically. The calculations suggest that one of ultrahigh spin bands in ^158 Er is triaxial highly deformed and the other is normal-deformed, while both ultrahigh spin bands in ^157Er are suggested to be triaxial highly deformed. The possible ultrahigh spin bands in ^159Er are predicted to be triaxial highly deformed and have shape coexistence in the same configuration. The configurations with two neutron holes in the Nose = 4 orbitals and two neutron holes in the h11/2 orbitals in ^159Er are favoured for ultrahigh spin states but unfavoured for band termination, which is similar to ultrahigh spin bands in ^157,15SEr.  相似文献

The magnetic rotational bands based on the configuration πh11/2^2 vh11/2^-2 in ^142Gd are investigated with the newly developed tilted axis cranking relativistic mean field (RMF) theory with and without nuclear current. The effect of the nuclear current is discussed by comparing the total Routhians, single particle levels, electromagnetic transition probabilities B(M1) and B(E2) in self-consistent tilted axis cranking RMF caIculation with those obtained without the nuclear current. The nuclear currents are found to play an important role in the magnetic rotation of nuclei.  相似文献

Isomeric two-quasiparticle states have been identified in the neutron-rich isotopes 172Er and 174Er using multi-nucleon transfer reactions with 136Xe beams incident on various targets, and γ  -ray spectroscopy with Gammasphere. A candidate for the Kπ=6+Kπ=6+ two-quasineutron state in 172Er is found at 1500 keV. In 174Er, a nuclide whose level scheme was previously unknown, a long-lived isomer is identified at 1112 keV decaying via an inhibited E1 transition and revealing the yrast sequence of 174Er. This isomer is proposed to be a Kπ=8Kπ=8 two-quasineutron state, defining a sequence in the N=106N=106 isotones extending from the well-deformed neutron-rich isotope 174Er to the neutron-deficient isotope 188Pb, where the presence of the isomer signifies a prolate minimum in an otherwise spherical well. Configuration-constrained potential-energy surface calculations are used to predict the excitation energies of the 6+ and 8 intrinsic states and as a basis for extracting the pairing force strength, GnGn, in the N=104N=104 and N=106N=106 isotones.  相似文献

A reflection asymmetric relativistic mean field (RAS-RMF) approach is developed by expanding the equations of motion for both the nucleons and the mesons on the eigenfunctions of the two-centre harmonic-oscillator potential. The efficiency and reliability of the RAS-RMF approach are demonstrated in its application to the well-known octupole deformed nucleus 226Ra and the available data, including the binding energy and the deformation parameters, are well reproduced.  相似文献

By analyzing the potential energy surface, the shape phase diagram and the energy spectrum of the nucleus in U(5)U(5) symmetry in the IBM, we propose that the U(5)U(5) symmetry with parameters (A+B)<0(A+B)<0 may be a model to describe the rotation driven vibrational to axially rotational phase transition along the yrast line. With such a model, we have described successfully the observed rotation driven shape phase transition along the yrast line and proposed some other empirical evidences.  相似文献

A ridge has been found in a - coincidence matrix obtained from the reaction122Sn(27Al,5n)144Euat 142 MeV.The half-width of the valley is 59 keV,which is similar to the energy spacings in the superdeformed bands in 143Euand 142Sm.This indicates the existence of superdeformed bands in 144Eu.This work was supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and AECL Research.
