A thiocarbamide derivative containing Schiff base groups,1,5-bis[4-(dimethylamino)benzylidene]thiocarbonohydrazide,has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis,IR,1H NMR,UV and X-ray single-crystal diffraction.Density function theory(DFT) calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G* and PBE0/6-31G* levels for optimized geometries and electronic transition spectra have been performed.Comparative studies show that both B3LYP/6-31G* and PBE0/6-31G* methods can well reproduce the molecular structure,and the latter is more reliable than the former to simulate electronic spectra.NPA calculational results at the B3LYP/6-31G* level indicate the title compound to be a potential multidentate ligand to the metallic ions.Based on the vibrational analysis,thermodynamic properties at different temperatures have been obtained.  相似文献

The semiempirical PM5 method has been used to calculate fully optimized structures of magnesium-bacteriochlorin, magnesium-chlorin, magnesium-porphin, mesochlorophyll a, chlorophylls a, b, c(1), c(2), c(3), and d, and bacteriochlorophylls a, b, c, d, e, f, g, and h with all homologous structures. Hartree-Fock/6-31G* ab initio and density functional B3LYP/6-31G* methods were used to optimize structures of methyl chlorophyllide a, chlorophyll c(1), and methyl bacteriochlorophyllides a and c for comparison. Spectroscopic transition energies of the chromophores and their 1:1 or 1:2 solvent complexes were calculated with the Zindo/S CIS method. The self-consistent reaction field model was used to estimate solvent shifts. The PM5 calculations predict planar structure of the porphyrin ring and central position of the four coordinated magnesium atoms in all pigments studied, in accord with the experimental, ab initio, and density functional results, a significant improvement as compared to the older semiempirical PM3 approach. Only small differences in PM5 and B3LYP/6-31G* or Hartree-Fock/6-31G* minimum energy geometries of the reference molecules were observed. Calculations show that in 1:1 solvent complexes, where the magnesium atom is five coordinated, the magnesium atom is shifted out of the plane of the porphyrin ring towards the solvent molecule, while the hexa coordinated 1:2 complexes are again planar. The PM5 method gives atomic charges that are comparable with those obtained from the Hartree-Fock/6-31G* and B3LYP/6-31G* calculations. The single point ZINDO/S CIS calculations with PM5 minimum energy structure gave excellent correlations between calculated and experimental transition energies of the chlorophylls and bacteriochlorophylls studied. Such correlations may be used for prediction of transition energies of the chromophores in protein binding sites. Calculations also predict existence of dark electronic states below the main Soret absorption band in all chromophores studied. The results suggest that the semiempirical PM5 method is a fairly reliable and computationally efficient method in predicting molecular parameters of porphyrin-like molecules.  相似文献

用密度函数理论(DFT)的BLYP和B3LYP方法,取6-31G,6-31G^*,6-31G^*^*,6-311G,6-311G^*和6-311G^*^*六种基组,对硝酸甲酯和硝酸乙酯的几何构型和红外振动频率进行了计算研究.结果表明,B3LYP方法在采用极化基组(6-31G^*,6-31G^*^*,6-311G^*和6-311G^*^*)时计算得到的结果均较好,适用于硝酸酯类化合物的研究.而BLYP方法无论采用何种基组均不适用;运用校正后的B3LYP/6-31G^*频率(校正因子0.975)计算得到的热力学性质(C^o~p,H^o和S^o)与实验结果较吻合。  相似文献

用密度泛函理论(DFT)和从头算(ab initio)方法,在B3LYP/6-31G、 B3LYP/6-31G*、 B3LYP/6-311G*和MP2/6-31G*水平上全优化计算了2,3,7,8-四氯苯并二英(2,3,7,8-TCDD)的几何构型、电子结构和振动频率,并用校正后的频率计算了298~1500 K的标准热力学函数,同时用半经验的PM3 SCF-MO进行了同样的计算,计算结果与实验值及文献值较好地吻合.  相似文献

The use of B3LYP/6–31G* zero-point energies and geometries in the calculation of enthalpies of formation has been investigated for the enlarged G2 test set of 148 molecules [J. Chem. Phys. 106 (1997) 1063]. A scale factor of 0.96 for the B3LYP zero-point energies gives an average absolute deviation nearly the same as scaled HF/6–31G* zero-point energies for G2, G2(MP2), and B3LYP/6–311 + G(3df,2p) enthalpies. A scale factor of 0.98, which has been recommended in some studies, increases the average absolute deviation by about 0.2 kcal/mol. Geometries from B3LYP/6–31G* are found to do as well as MP2/6–31G* geometries in the calculation of the enthalpies of formation.  相似文献

用多种密度泛函理论(DFT)方法(BLYP/6-31G^*^*,B3LYP/6-31G^*^*,B3PW91/6-31G^*^*和SVWN/6-31G^*^*)对吲哚分子的平衡几何构型进行了优化。在优化构型的基础上计算了吲哚分子的谐力场、振动基频和红外光谱强度。计算得到的振动频率与实验值比较平均偏差对四种计算方法(BLYP/6-31G^*^*,P3LYP/6-31G^*^*,B3PW91/6-31G^*^*和SVWN/6-31G^*^*)分别为16.3,40.5,45.1和26.4cm^-^1。BLYP/6-31G^*^*理论力场被用于吲哚分子的简正坐标分析计算中。根据振动率的势能分布(PEDs)对此分子的振动基频进行了理论归属。  相似文献

运用HF/3-21G方法和密度泛函理论(DFT)的B3LYP/6-31G*方法, 对羰基硼化合物(BCO)n(n=1~12)的各种可能结构进行了优化, 对在B3LYP/6-31G*水平上得到的几何构型、电子态、结合能、振动频率、核独立化学位移(NICS)、能量二次差分和热力学性质进行了理论研究, 得到了(BCO)n(n=1~12)结构的稳定性信息. 十二种基态结构都是端配位(μ1-CO), (BCO)n(n=1~3, 5, 6) 的基态是线型或平面结构, (BCO)n(n=4, 7~12)的基态是笼状结构; B—C平均键能呈现奇偶交替现象, 偶数的结构比奇数稳定; 能量二次差分得到同样的结论;羰基的振动频率与实验值非常吻合; 热力学性质的研究对实验具有重要的指导意义.  相似文献

A set of iron parameters for use in the semiempirical PM3 method have been developed to allow the structure and redox properties of the active sites of iron-containing proteins to be accurately modeled, focussing on iron-sulfur, iron-heme, and iron-only hydrogenases. Data computed at the B3LYP/6-31G* level for a training set of 60 representative complexes have been employed. A gradient-based optimization algorithm has been used, and important modifications of the core repulsion function have been highlighted. The derived parameters lead in general to good predictions of the structure and energetics of molecules both within and outside the training set, and overcome the extensive deficiencies of a B3LYP/STO-3G model. Particularly encouraging is the success of the parameters in describing [4Fe-4S] cubanes. The derived parameter set provides a starting point should greater accuracy for a more restricted range of compounds be required.  相似文献

The hydrogen-bonding ability of five-membered heteroaromatic molecules containing one chalcogen and two heteroatoms with nitrogen in addition to chalcogen, respectively, have been analyzed using density functional and molecular orbital methods through adduct formation with water. The stabilization energies for all the adducts are established at B3LYP/6-31+G* and MP2/6-31+G* levels after correcting for the basis set superposition error by using the counterpoise method and also corrected for zero-point vibrational energies. A natural bond orbital analysis at B3LYP/6-31+G* level and natural energy decomposition analysis at HF/6-31+G* using MP2/6-31+G* geometries have been carried out to understand the nature of hydrogen-bonding interaction in monohydrated heterocyclic adducts. Nucleus-independent chemical shift have been evaluated to understand the correlation between hydrogen bond formation and aromaticity.  相似文献

利用密度泛函理论(DFT)分别在B3LYP/6-31G**和B3LYP/6-311++G**的计算水平上优化了基态3-羟基丙烯醛分子在双键旋转异构反应过程中的平衡态以及过渡态的几何构型,分析了反应过程中键参数的变化,计算了该反应的内禀反应坐标(IRC),发现在重排反应途径上存在一个四元环骨架的中间体.通过振动分析对平衡态和过渡态进行了确认,并得到了零点能.计算结果表明,基态3-羟基丙烯醛分子的双键旋转异构反应经过两步完成,第一步反应位垒稍高,第二步反应位垒较低,存在着发生重排反应的可能性.  相似文献

The alkylation of 4-methoxymethyl-gamma-butyrolactone enolate with methyl chloride was studied at the B3LYP/6-31+G* level. Conformer search of the free enolate gave 15 unique conformers within 5.39 kcal/mol. The transition structures for both anti- and syn-attacks of methyl chloride on these 15 conformers were located. In all cases, the anti-transition structures are more stable than the corresponding syn-ones. The alkylation of gamma-valerolactone was studied at the MP2, B3LYP, and HF levels of theory with the 6-31+G* basis set in the presence of Li+ and dimethyl ether molecules. Basis set effects were also examined by the comparison of the MP2 results with the 6-31+G*, 6-31+G**, and 6-311+G** basis sets in one case. This study shows that the main source of the anti-selectivity of 4-substituted gamma-butyrolactones is eclipsing strain in the syn-transition structures.  相似文献

The ground state geometries have been computed by using density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP/6-31G*, B3LYP/6-31G**, and PCM-B3LYP/6-31G* level of theories. The highest occupied molecular orbitals (HOMOs) are delocalized on whole of the molecule and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals (LUMOs) are localized on the tricarbonitrile. The lowest HOMO and LUMO energies have been observed for Dye1 while highest for Dye4. The LUMO energies of Dye1–Dye4 are above the conduction band of TiO2 and HOMOs are below the redox couple. The absorption spectra have been computed in solvent (methanol) and without solvent by using time-dependant DFT at TD-B3LYP/6-31G*, TD-B3LYP/6-31G**, and PCM-TD-B3LYP/6-31G* level of theories. The calculated maximum absorption wavelengths of the spectra in methanol are in good agreement with experimental evidences. The maximum absorption wavelengths of new designed sensitizers are red shifted compared to parent molecule. The electronic coupling constant and electron injection have been computed by first principle investigations. The improved electronic coupling constant and electron injection revealed that new modeled systems would be efficient sensitizers.  相似文献

The structures of thiophene, pyrrole, furan, and their benzo derivatives were generated with the hybrid B3LYP density functional theory (DFT) methods employing a 6-31G* basis set. Their magnetic susceptibility anisotropics were calculated on these geometries with a continuous set of gauge transformations. The aromaticity of the heterocycles was discussed in light of their structural uniformity and magnetic susceptibility. The computed structural parameters, order of aromaticity, stability, and reactivity is in excellent agreement with the experimental results. The usefulness of this approach to determine the reactivity is discussed.  相似文献

Density functional theory at the B3LYP/6-31G* level with counterpoise correction has been employed to study six sets of nitrogenous bases for the capacity of each to form H-bonded dimers restricted to a chosen pairing configuration. These results are augmented by MP2/6-311++G(d,p) single point calculations on the B3LYP/6-31G* optimized geometries. Each set has two bases, including substituted azoles, imidazoles, pyrimidines, and fused ring systems. This study aims to determine the suitability of each set to furnish H-bonded base pairs which may serve as repeat units for self-associative H-bonded macromolecular duplexes with the capacity to store and replicate information at the molecular level. Out of the various possibilities tested here, a set of two substituted pyrimidines best satisfies the prescribed criteria and may be put forward as a good candidate to yield isomorphic repeat units for designing such synthetic information-bearing macromolecular duplexes. The optimized configurations of these chosen base pairs as calculated at the B3LYP/6-31G* level compare well with those calculated at the B3LYP/6-31++G(d,p) and MP2/6-31G(d,p) levels, and indicate that isomorphism of the two base pairs is independent of method used. Assuming a one-to-one correspondence for encoding information in the macromolecule, such a set of two bases can allow the macromolecule to encode up to 8 types of encrypted species.  相似文献

用量子化学密度泛函(DFT)方法研究D-苯丙氨酸与一价基态金属阳离子Cu在气相中反应的机理. 在B3LYP/6-31G*水平上, 优化了反应包含的4个反应通道的反应物、中间体、过渡态和产物的几何构型, 并采用B3LYP/DZVP, B3LYP/[6-311+G**(C,H,O)+Lanl2dz(Cu)], B3LYP/6-311+G**, MP2/6-311+G** 等方法对各驻点进行了单点能计算. 通过对计算结果的分析, 获得了其单重态反应势能面的一般轮廓、各驻点几何构型优化参数, 明确了其反应机理.  相似文献

Computational investigations into the ground and singlet excited-state structures and the experimental ground-state absorption spectra of N-confused tetraphenylporphyrin tautomers 1e and 1i and N-confused porphines (NCP) 2e and 2i have been performed. Structural data for the ground state, performed at the B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31+G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d), and B3LYP/6-311+G(d)//B3LYP/6-31G(d) levels, are consistent with those performed at lower levels of theory. Calculations of the gas-phase, ground-state absorption spectrum are qualitatively consistent with condensed phase experiments for predicting the relative intensities of the Q(0,0) and Soret bands. Inclusion of implicit solvation in the calculations substantially improves the correlation of the energy of the Soret band with experiment for both tautomers (1e, 435 nm predicted, 442 nm observed in DMAc; 1i, 435 nm predicted, 437 nm observed in CH2Cl2). The x- and y-polarized Q-band transitions were qualitatively reproduced for 1e in both the gas phase and with solvation, although the low-energy absorption band in 1i was predicted at substantially higher energy (646 nm in the gas phase and 655 nm with solvation) than observed experimentally (724 nm in CH2Cl2). Franck-Condon state and equilibrated singlet excited-state geometries were calculated for unsubstituted NCP tautomers 2e and 2i at the TD-B3LYP/SVP and TD-B3LYP/TZVP//TD-B3LYP/SVP levels. Electronic difference density plots were calculated from these geometries, thereby indicating the change of electron density in the singlet excited states. Adiabatic S1 and S2 geometries of these compounds were also calculated at the TD-B3LYP/SVP level, and the results indicate that while 2i is a more stable ground-state molecule by approximately 7.0 kcal mol-1, the energy difference for the S1 excited states is only approximately 1.0 kcal mol-1 and is 6.1 kcal mol-1 for the S2 excited states.  相似文献

在DFT-B3LYP/6-311++G**水平上求得HOCl+HCOCl复合物势能面上的四种稳定构型(S1,S2,S3和S4).其中,在复合物S1和S3中,HOCl单体的5H原子作为质子供体,与HCOCl单体中作为质子受体的10原子相互作用,形成红移氢键复合物;在复合物S4中,HOCl单体的7Cl原子作为质子供体,与HCOCl单体中作为质子受体的IO原子相互作用,形成红移卤键复合物;而在复合物S2中,同时存在2C-3H…6O蓝移氢键和4Cl…5O相互作用.在MP2/6-311++G**水平上计算的单体间的相互作用能考虑了基组重叠误差(BSSE)和零点振动能(ZPVE)校正,其值在-5.05与-14.76 kJ·mol-1之间.采用自然键轨道理论(NBO)对两种单体间相互作用的本质进行了考查,并通过分子中原子理论(AIM)分析了复合物中氢键和卤键键鞍点处的电子密度拓扑性质.  相似文献

Harmonic force fields were calculated at the corresponding optimized geometries for pyrazole and imidazole at the HF, B3LYP, MP2, CCSD and CCSD(T) levels using the 6-31G* basis set and at the HF and B3LYP levels using the cc-pVTZ basis set. The agreement between the calculated and experimental geometries by the CCSD and CCSD(T) methods was generally similar to that obtained with the B3LYP and MP2 methods. The force fields were scaled using one-scale-factor (1SF), 3SF and 7SF scaling schemes. The scale factors were varied with respect to the experimental frequencies. Using 7SF scaling, the root-mean-square (RMS) deviation of the calculated frequencies from the experimental frequencies by the HF, B3LYP, MP2, CCSD and CCSD(T) methods and the 6-31G* basis set was 16, 7, 13, 11 and 11 cm(-1), respectively. This shows that the B3LYP method is preferred for force field calculations over the perturbative MP2, CCSD and CCSD(T) methods. Using 1SF scaling, the CCSD(T) scale factor was 0.931, the highest among the five methods used but close to that obtained with the B3LYP method and the cc-pVTZ basis set with lower RMS deviation.  相似文献
