A method, based on the use of a quadrupole-based inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry instrument equipped with a quadrupole-based collision/reaction cell (dynamic reaction cell, DRC), was developed for the simultaneous determination of phosphorus, calcium and strontium in bone and dental (enamel and dentine) tissue. The use of NH3, introduced at a gas flow rate of 0.8 mL min− 1 in the dynamic reaction cell, combined with a rejection parameter q (RPq) setting of 0.65, allows interference-free determination of calcium via its low-abundant isotopes 42Ca, 43Ca and 44Ca, and of strontium via its isotopes 86Sr and 88Sr that are freed from overlap due to the occurrence of ArCa+ and/or Ca2+ ions. Also the determination of phosphorus (31P, mono-isotopic) was shown to be achievable using the same dynamic reaction cell operating conditions. The bone certified reference materials NIST SRM 1400 Bone Ash and NIST SRM 1486 Bone Meal were used for validation of the measurement protocol that was shown capable of providing accurate and reproducible results. Detection limits of P, Ca and Sr in dental tissue digests were established as 3 µg L− 1 for P, 2 µg L− 1 for Ca and 0.2 µg L− 1 for Sr. This method can be used to simultaneously (i) evaluate the impact of diagenesis on the elemental and isotopic composition of buried skeletal tissue via its Ca/P ratio and (ii) determine its Sr concentration. The measurement protocol was demonstrated as fit-for-purpose by the analysis of a set of teeth of archaeological interest for their Ca/P ratio and Sr concentration.  相似文献

The use of 2-pyridyl ketone oximes, pyC(R)NOH (R = H, Me), in iron(III) carboxylate chemistry yielded the tetranuclear complexes [Fe4O2Cl2(O2CPh)2{pyC(R)NO}4] (R = H, 1; R = Me, 2). The crystal structure of 2 revealed the presence of a central [Fe4(μ3-O)2]8+ core comprising four FeIII ions in a ‘butterfly’ disposition and two μ3-O2− ions, each bridging three FeIII ions forming the ‘wings’ of the ‘butterfly’. The Mössbauer spectra from polycrystalline samples of 2 consist of composite quadrupole-split doublets, with parameters typical for high-spin iron(III) in octahedral environments. Magnetic susceptibility measurements on 2 revealed antiferromagnetic interactions between the S = 5/2 ferric ions; fits to the data required the use of two different parameters for the wingtip–body interactions. The best-fit values for these interactions were J1 = −85 cm−1 and J2 = −27 cm−1 (-2JijSiSj Hamiltonian formalism) resulting to a diamagnetic ground state.  相似文献

Non-destructive, rapid, instrumental tools in fruit production are required for predicting the optimum harvest window and monitoring fruit quality during shelf life. The degree of chlorophyll degradation is a sensitive indicator for fruit maturation and ageing. Adequate indices for chlorophyll prediction by means of non-destructive spectral analysis have been studied in the fields of photosynthesis research and remote sensing developments. However, an evaluation of these indices and multivariate linear regression models does not exist so far for predicting the fruit chlorophyll content.Spectral transmittance recordings in the visible wavelength range were carried out on apple fruit Malus domestica Borkh. ‘Elstar’ (n=99) and ‘Jonagold’ (n=117). The fruit chlorophyll a content of ‘Elstar’ apples was measured wet-chemically and predicted by means of the specific indices: NDVI, Tr698/Tr760, red-edge, TrII on Tr′(λ), TrII, and RVSI with the correlation coefficients of determination R2=0.84, 0.81, 0.75, 0.81, 0.15, and 0.67, respectively. Partial least-squares (PLS) calibration models were built using calibrated spectra (630-730 nm), first derivative of spectra and second derivative of spectra yielding multivariate correlation coefficients of determination R2=0.81, 0.86, and 0.92, respectively. Similar results were found for ‘Jonagold’ apple fruit. Linear regression of indices and PLS calibration models were empirically tested on the chlorophyll a content of apple fruit measuring the same cultivars grown in a different seasons and growing locations. In the case of ‘Elstar’ apple fruit, correlation coefficients of fruit chlorophyll a content analysed wet-chemically as well as fruit maturation measured as calendar weeks were similar to those in the calibration experiment. Application of linear regression equations of indices and PLS models on spectra of ‘Jonagold’ apple fruit led to less accurate results for those methods, which use wavelengths above 720 nm as indicative range.  相似文献

A simple solid phase extraction procedure for speciation of selenium(IV) and selenium(VI) in environmental samples has been proposed prior to graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The method is based on the solid phase extraction of the selenium(IV)-ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) chelate on the Diaion HP-2MG. After reduction of Se(VI) by heating the samples in the microwave oven with 4 mol l−1 HCl, the system was applied to the total selenium. Se(VI) was calculated as the difference between the total selenium content and Se(IV) content. The experimental parameters, pH, amounts of reagents, eluent type and sample volume were optimized. The recoveries of analytes were found greater than 95%. No appreciable matrix effects were observed. The adsorption capacity of sorbent was 5.20 mg g−1 Se (IV). The detection limit of Se (IV) (3sigma, n = 11) is 0.010 μg l−1. The preconcentration factor for the presented system was 100. The proposed method was applied to the speciation of selenium(IV), selenium(VI) and determination of total selenium in natural waters and microwave digested soil, garlic, onion, rice, wheat and hazelnut samples harvested various locations in Turkey with satisfactory results. In order to verify the accuracy of the method, certified reference materials (NIST SRM 2711 Montana Soil, NIST SRM 1568a Rice Flour and NIST SRM 8418 Wheat Gluten) were analyzed and the results obtained were in good agreement with the certified values. The relative errors and relative standard deviations were below 6 and 10%, respectively.  相似文献

The molecular structures of the isatin Schiff bases of S-methyldithiocarbazate (Hisasme) and S-benzyldithiocarbazate (Hisasbz) have been determined by X-ray diffraction and their complexes of general formula [ML2n(solvate) [M = Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+; L = anionic forms of Hisasme or Hisasbz; solvate = DMF, DMSO; n = 1, 2] and [Sn(L)Ph2Cl]·nMeOH (n = 0, 1) have been synthesized and characterized by a variety of physicochemical techniques and X-ray diffraction. The bis-ligand complexes, [Ni(isasbz)2]·2DMSO and [Co(isasme)2]·DMF have a six-coordinate, distorted octahedral geometry with the two uninegatively charged tridentate ONS ligands coordinated to the metal ions meridionally via the amide O-atoms, the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms. By contrast, the crystal structure of [Zn(isasbz)2]·2DMF shows a four-coordinate distorted tetrahedral geometry with the two Schiff bases coordinated as NS bidentate ligands via the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms. Steric constraints of the rigid tridentate ligands lead to unusual ‘pseudo-coordination’ of the O-donors which occupy sites close to the metal but too distant to be considered as true coordinate bonds. The crystal structures of the tin(IV) complexes [SnLPh2Cl]·nMeOH (L = isasme and isasbz; n = 0, 1) also show that the Schiff bases act as monoanionic bidentate NS chelating agents coordinating the tin(IV) ion via the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms, the tin atom in each complex is five-coordinate with a highly distorted geometry intermediate of square pyramidal and trigonal bipyramidal. Again Sn?O contacts are weak and do not qualify as coordinate bonds.  相似文献

This paper discusses the kinetic simulation of TiCl4--coinitiated living carbocationic isobutylene (IB) polymerizations governed by dormant-active equilibria, using a mechanistic model. Two kinetic models were constructed from the same underlying mechanism: one using a commercial simulation software package (Predici®), and the other using the method of moments. Parameter estimation from experimental batch reactor data with Predici yielded a rate constant of propagation kp = 4.64 × 108 ± 2.75 × 108 L/mol s, with no constraints imposed. This agrees with kp data measured with diffusion clock and competition methods, but disagrees with kinetically obtained kp values. Estimation of rate constants with Predici® and the GREG parameter estimation software packages revealed that it was difficult to estimate the complete set of kinetic parameters, due to correlated effects of the parameters on model predictions. Estimability analysis confirmed that some of the strongly correlating parameters could not be estimated simultaneously using the available experimental data. Using kp = 6 × 108 ± 2.75  × 108 L/mol s measured by Mayr, and using starting estimates of other rate constants defined by experimentally observed correlations, yielded the set of rate constants required for the simulations. Both kinetic models yielded good agreement with experimental data, with the exception of Mw values that slightly diverged from the theoretically predicted ‘MwMn = constant’ relationship. This may indicate the occurrence of a minor side reaction. However, the kp/k−1 = 17.5 L/mol average run length calculated from measured and simulated MWD data agrees well with earlier literature values.  相似文献

An enrichment procedure for cadmium and lead after their solid phase extraction as dibenzyldithiocarbamate chelates on Dowex Optipore V-493 has been established prior to their flame atomic absorption spectrometric determinations. The analytical parameters including pH, amounts of dibenzyldithiocarbamate, sample volume, etc., were investigated. The effects of alkaline and earth alkaline ions and some metal ions on the retentions of analytes on Dowex Optipore V-493 resin were examined. Under the optimized conditions, the detection limits (3s, n = 21) for cadmium and lead were 0.43 μg L−1 and 0.65 μg L−1, respectively. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.), and the recoveries of standard addition for this method were lower than 5% (n = 11) and 95-102%, respectively. Three standard reference samples (LGC 6010 Hard drinking water, NIST SRM 2711 Montana soil and GBW 07605 Tea) were introduced for accuracy and precision of analytical data. The proposed solid phase extraction system was successfully applied to the analysis of environmental samples.  相似文献

A detailed analysis of the 35Cl/37Cl isotope effects observed in the 19.11 MHz 103Rh NMR resonances of [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n complexes (n = 3–6) in acidic solution at 292.1 K, shows that the ‘fine structure’ of each 103Rh resonance can be understood in terms of the unique isotopologue and in certain instances the isotopomer distribution in each complex. These 35Cl/37Cl isotope effects in the 103Rh NMR resonance of the [Rh35/37Cl6]3− species manifest only as a result of the statistically expected 35Cl/37Cl isotopologues, whereas for the aquated species such as for example [Rh35/37Cl5(H2O)]2−, cis-[Rh35/37Cl4(H2O)2] as well as the mer-[Rh35/37Cl3(H2O)3] complexes, additional fine-structure due to the various possible isotopomers within each class of isotopologues, is visible. Of interest is the possibility of the direct identification of stereoisomers cis-[RhCl4(H2O)2], trans-[RhCl4(H2O)2], fac-[RhCl3(H2O)3] and mer-[RhCl3(H2O)3] based on the 103Rh NMR line shape, other than on the basis of their very similar δ(103Rh) chemical shift. The 103Rh NMR resonance structure thus serves as a novel and unique ‘NMR-fingerprint’ leading to the unambiguous assignment of [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n complexes (n = 3–6), without reliance on accurate δ(103Rh) chemical shifts.  相似文献

The ‘formal’ hydrolysis ratio (h = C(OH)added/C(Al)total) of hydrolysed aluminium-ions is an important parameter required for the exhaustive and quantitative speciation-fractionation of aluminium in aqueous solutions. This paper describes a potentiometric method for determination of the formal hydrolysis ratio based on an automated alkaline titration procedure. The method uses the point of precipitation of aluminium hydroxide as a reference (h = 3.0) in order to calculate the initial formal hydrolysis ratio of hydrolysed aluminium-ion solutions. Several solutions of pure hydrolytic species including aluminium monomers (AlCl3), Al13 polynuclear cluster ([Al13O4(OH)24(H2O)12]7+), Al30 polynuclear cluster ([Al30O8(OH)56(H2O)26]18+) and a suspension of nanoparticulate aluminium hydroxide have been used as ‘reference standards’ to validate the proposed potentiometric method. Other important variables in the potentiometric determination of the hydrolysis ratio have also been optimised including the concentration of aluminium and the type and strength of alkali (Trizma-base, NH3, NaHCO3, Na2CO3 and KOH). The results of the potentiometric analysis have been cross-verified by quantitative 27Al solution nuclear magnetic resonance (27Al NMR) measurements. The ‘formal’ hydrolysis ratio of a commercial basic aluminium chloride has been measured as an example of a practical application of the developed technique.  相似文献

Long-range electron transfer (ET) matrix elements (VPS), rate constants (kET) and reorganization energies for ET from phthalimide radical (pha) moiety to methyl aminoacetate radical (aa) moiety in pa–(gly)n = 0–6–aa (pa = C6H4(CO)2N–(CH2CO), gly = glycine, aa = HNCH2COOCH3) ionic molecules have been investigated using two-state variational method (TSVM) and classical rate model. Calculations on VPS reveal that the overlap between the frontier orbitals of two diabatic states is quite small, which leads to a small value of VPS. kET has a minimum at the range n = 1–3 for β-strand conformation, but linearly increases as the peptide chain length (n) increases for pro II-helix conformation. These results are in good agreement with the experimental predictions. Relevant ET mechanisms are elucidated. The transition energies for charge transfer in such systems are also calculated to test the influences of local dipoles on the potentials of the donor and acceptor. For comparison electron couplings in [pa–(gly)n = 1,3–aa]+ cations are calculated and the effects of electron correlation on inner reorganization energies in pha + pha−/+ self-exchange reactions are examined at different levels of theory respectively. Calculated results are discussed also.  相似文献

A hyphenated ion-pair (tetrabutylammonium chloride—TBACl) reversed phase (C18) HPLC-ICP-MS method (High Performance Liquid Chromatography Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy) for anionic Rh(III) aqua chlorido-complexes present in an HCl matrix has been developed. Under optimum chromatographic conditions it was possible to separate and quantify cationic Rh(III) complexes (eluted as a single band), [RhCl3(H2O)3], cis-[RhCl4(H2O)2], trans-[RhCl4(H2O)2] and [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n (n = 5, 6) species. The [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n (n = 5, 6) complex anions eluted as a single band due to the relatively fast aquation of [RhCl6]3− in a 0.1 mol L−1 TBACl ionic strength mobile phase matrix. Moreover, the calculated t1/2 of 1.3 min for [RhCl6]3− aquation at 0.1 mol kg−1 HCl ionic strength is significantly lower than the reported t1/2 of 6.3 min at 4.0 mol kg−1 HClO4 ionic strength. Ionic strength or the activity of water in this context is a key parameter that determines whether [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n (n = 5, 6) species can be chromatographically separated. In addition, aquation/anation rate constants were determined for [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n (n = 3-6) complexes at low ionic strength (0.1 mol kg−1 HCl) by means of spectrophotometry and independently with the developed ion-pair HPLC-ICP-MS technique for species assignment validation. The Rh(III) samples that was equilibrated in differing HCl concentrations for 2.8 years at 298 K was analyzed with the ion-pair HPLC method. This analysis yielded a partial Rh(III) aqua chlorido-complex species distribution diagram as a function of HCl concentration. For the first time the distribution of the cis- and trans-[RhCl4(H2O)2] stereoisomers have been obtained. Furthermore, it was found that relatively large amounts of ‘highly’ aquated [RhCln(H2O)6−n]3−n (n = 0-4) species persist in up to 2.8 mol L−1 HCl and in 1.0 mol L−1 HCl the abundance of the [RhCl5(H2O)]2− species is only 8-10% of the total, far from the 70-80% as previously proposed. A 95% abundance of the [RhCl6]3− complex anion occurs only when the HCl concentration is above 6 mol L−1. The detection limit for a Rh(III) species eluted from the column is below 0.147 mg L−1.  相似文献

This contributions shows with a series of ab initio MP2 and DFT (BP86 and B3-LYP) computations with large basis sets up to cc-pVQZ quality that the literature value of the standard enthalpy of depolymerization of Sb4F20(g) to give SbF5(g) (+18.5 kJ mol−1) [J. Fawcett, J.H. Holloway, R.D. Peacock, D.R. Russell, J. Fluorine Chem. 20 (1982) 9] is by about 50 kJ mol−1 in error and that the correct value of (Sb4F20(g)) is +68 ± 10 kJ mol−1. We assign , , and values for SbnF5n with n = 2-4 and compare the results to available experimental gas phase data. Especially the MP2/TZVPP values obtained in an indirect procedure that rely on isodesmic reactions or the highly accurate compound methods G2 and CBS-Q are in excellent agreement with the experimental data, and reproduce also the fine experimental details at temperatures of 423 and 498 K. With these data and the additional calculation of [SbnF5n+1] (n = 1-4), we then assessed the fluoride ion affinities (FIAs) of SbnF5n(g), nSbF5(g), nSbF5(l) and the standard enthalpies of formation of SbnF5n(g) and [SbnF5n+1](g): FIA(SbnF5n(g)) = 514 (n = 1), 559 (n = 2), 572 (n = 3) and 580 (n = 4) kJ mol−1; FIA(nSbF5(g)) = 667 (n = 2), 767 (n = 3) and 855 (n = 4) kJ mol−1; FIA(nSbF5(l)) = 434 (n = 1), 506 (n = 2), 528 (n = 3) and 534 (n = 4) kJ mol−1. Error bars are approximately ±10 kJ mol−1. Also the related Gibbs energies were derived. ΔfH°([SbnF5n+1](g)) = −2064 ± 18 (n = 1), −3516 ± 25 (n = 2), −4919 ± 31 (n = 3) and −6305 ± 36 (n = 4) kJ mol−1.  相似文献

Organotin(IV) complexes of [SnR(4−n)Cln] (n = 2, R = Me, nBu; n = 1, R = Ph) react with the bidentate pyridyl ligand 4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine (bu2bpy) to give hexa-coordinated adducts with the general formula [SnR(4−n)Cln(bu2bpy)]. However, the reaction of these organotin(IV) complexes with the corresponding monodentate ligand 4-tert-butylpyridine (bupy) resulted in the formation of the hexa-coordinated complex [SnMe2Cl2(bupy)2] and the penta-coordinated complexes [SnR(4−n)Cln(bupy)] (n = 2, R = nBu; n = 1, R = Ph). Moreover, the reaction of the above organotin(IV) complexes with 4,4′-trimethylenedipyridine (tmdp) yields hexa-coordinated adducts with the general formula [SnR2Cl2(tmdp)] (R = Me, nBu) and the penta-coordinated complex [ClPh3Sn-μ-(tmdp)SnPh3Cl] in the solid state. The resulting complexes have been characterized by multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) spectroscopy and elemental analysis. NMR data shows that the triphenyltin(IV) adducts are not stable in solution and dissociate to give tetra-coordinated tin(IV) complexes. The X-ray crystal structure determination of [SnMe2Cl2(bu2bpy)] reveals that the tin atom is hexa-coordinated in an octahedral geometry with a trans-[SnMe2] configuration.  相似文献

This study presents the results obtained in the application of the k 0-standardization method at the Neutron Activation Analysis Laboratory at IPEN (LAN-IPEN), for biological sample analysis, by using the k0_IAEA software, provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The thermal to epithermal flux ratio f and the shape factor α of the epithermal flux distribution of the IEA-R1 nuclear reactor of IPEN were determined for the pneumatic irradiation facility and one selected irradiation position, for short and long irradiations, respectively. To obtain these factors, the “bare triple-monitor” method with 197Au–96Zr–94Zr was used. To evaluate the accuracy of the results, bias (%) and E n-number test were applied to the results obtained in the analysis of the biological reference materials NIST SRM 1547 peach leaves, INCT-MPH-2 mixed polish herbs and NIST SRM 1573a tomato leaves. Bias (%), for most elements, ranged from 0 to 30 %, in relation to certified values. E n-number values showed that, with few exceptions (Na in NIST SRM 1547 and NIST SRM 1573a, and Al, Cr, Sc and Zn in INCT-MPH-2), the results were within a 95 % CI. These results pointed to the possibility of using the k 0-INAA method with the k0_IAEA software for analysis of biological samples at LAN-IPEN.  相似文献

A novel method for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) determination of trace amounts of Pt(II), Pd(II) and Rh(III), based on gaseous compounds introduction into the plasma as their diethyldithiocarbamate complexes by electrothermal vaporization (ETV), was developed. At the temperature of 1100 °C, the trace amounts of Pt, Pd and Rh were vaporized into plasma. The factors affecting the formation of the chelates and their vaporization behaviors, such as ashing temperature and time, vaporization temperature and time, pH and the concentration of chelating reagents were studied in detail. Under the optimized conditions, the limits of detection (LODs) (3σ) of Pt, Pd and Rh for tested solutions were 5.4, 1.4 and 0.8 ng ml−1, and for actual sample (auto-catalyst NIST SRM 2557) were 0.27, 0.07 and 0.04 μg g−1, respectively. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) for Pt, Pd and Rh were 1.4, 2.6 and 2.4% (CPt=0.5 μg ml−1, CPd,Rh=0.25 μg ml−1, n=7), respectively. The linear ranges of calibration graphs for Pt, Pd and Rh cover three orders of magnitude. Compared with conventional electrothermal vaporization technique, using the reagent of diethyldithiocarbamate as chemical modifier could not only enhance the analytical sensitivities, but also reduce the vaporization temperature. By combination with a separation/preconcentration step, the proposed method had been successfully applied to the analysis of the artificial seawater, tap water and urine with recoveries ranging from 91 to 106%. The two certified reference material meager platinpalladium ore GBW 07293 and auto-catalyst NIST SRM 2557 was also analyzed for validation, and the determined values obtained were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

The rate constants for the reactions of OH radicals with CF3OCHFCF3, and CF3CHFCF3 have been measured over the temperature range 250-430 K. Kinetic measurements have been carried out using the flash photolysis, and laser photolysis methods combined, respectively, with the laser induced fluorescence technique. The influence of impurities in the samples has been investigated by using gas chromatography. No sizable effect of impurities was found on the measured rate constants of these fluorinated compounds, if the purified samples were used in the measurements. The following Arrhenius expressions were determined: k(CF3OCHFCF3) = (4.39 ± 1.38) × 10−13 exp[−(1780 ± 100)/T] cm3 molecule−1 s−1, and k(CF3CHFCF3) = (6.19 ± 2.07) × 10−13 exp[−(1830 ± 100)/T] cm3 molecule−1 s−1.  相似文献

The kinetics of the radical reactions of CH3 with HCl or DCl and CD3 with HCl or DCl have been investigated in a temperature controlled tubular reactor coupled to a photoionization mass spectrometer. The CH3 (or CD3) radical, R, was produced homogeneously in the reactor by a pulsed 193 nm exciplex laser photolysis of CH3COCH3 (or CD3COCD3). The decay of CH3/CD3 was monitored as a function of HCl/DCl concentration under pseudo-first-order conditions to determine the rate constants as a function of temperature, typically from 188 to 500 K. The rate constants of the CH3 and CD3 reactions with HCl had strong non-Arrhenius behavior at low temperatures. The rate constants were fitted to a modified Arrhenius expression k = QA exp (−Ea/RT) (error limits stated are 1σ + Students t values, units in cm3 molecule−1 s−1): k(CH3 + HCl) = [1.004 + 85.64 exp (−0.02438 × T/K)] × (3.3 ± 1.3) × 10−13 exp [−(4.8 ± 0.6) kJ mol−1/RT] and k(CD3 + HCl) = [1.002 + 73.31 exp (−0.02505 × T/K)] × (2.7 ± 1.2) × 10−13 exp [−(3.5 ± 0.5) kJ mol−1/RT]. The radical reactions with DCl were studied separately over a wide ranges of temperatures and in these temperature ranges the rate constants determined were fitted to a conventional Arrhenius expression k = A exp (−Ea/RT) (error limits stated are 1σ + Students t values, units in cm3 molecule−1 s−1): k(CH3 + DCl) = (2.4 ± 1.6) × 10−13 exp [−(7.8 ± 1.4) kJ mol−1/RT] and k(CD3 + DCl) = (1.2 ± 0.4) × 10−13 exp [−(5.2 ± 0.2) kJ mol−1/RT] cm3 molecule−1 s−1.  相似文献

A novel on-line preconcentration and determination system based on a fiber-packed column was developed for speciation analysis of Cr in drinking water samples prior to its determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). All variables involved in the development of the preconcentration method including, pH, eluent type, sample and eluent flow rates, interfering effects, etc., were studied in order to achieve the best analytical performance. A preconcentration factor of 32 was obtained for Cr(VI) and Cr(III). The levels of Cr(III) species were calculated by difference of total Cr and Cr(VI) levels. Total Cr was determined after oxidation of Cr(III) to Cr(VI) with hydrogen peroxide. The calibration graph was linear with a correlation coefficient of 0.999 at levels near the detection limit and up to at least 50 μg L−1. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) was 4.3% (C = 5 μg L−1 Cr(VI), n = 10, sample volume = 25 mL). The limit of detection (LOD) for both Cr(III) and Cr(VI) species was 0.3 μg L−1. Verification of the accuracy was carried out by the analysis of a standard reference material (NIST SRM 1643e “Trace elements in natural water”). The method was successfully applied to the determination of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) species in drinking water samples.  相似文献

Novel heteroscorpionate-containing tin and organotin(IV) complexes, [SnRnX3 − n(L)], R = Me, Bun, Ph, or cy; X = Cl, Br or I, n = 0, 1, 2 or 3; L = bis(pyrazol-1-yl)acetate (bpza) or bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)acetate (bdmpza), have been synthesized and characterized by spectral (IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR, 119mSn Mössbauer) and analytical data. In [SnI3(bdmpza)], the ligand is fac-N,N′,O-tridentate, the three iodine atoms thus also fac about the six-coordinate tin(IV) atom. Neutral bpzaH reacts with BunSnCl3, PhSnCl3 and SnCl4 in Et2O in the absence of base, yielding 1:1 adducts [XSnCl3(bpzaH)] (X = R or Cl).  相似文献

A mass spectrometric (MS) method for the identification of iron protoporphyrin (IX) (FePTP, heme b) in marine particulate material and phytoplankton is described. Electrospray ionisation of FePTP produced the molecular Fe(III)PTP+ ion (m/z = 616) or the pseudomolecular [Fe(II)PTP + H]+ ion (m/= 617), depending on the oxidation state of the central iron ion. Collision induced dissociation (CID) in the ion trap mass spectrometer resulted in a single detected product ion (m/z = 557) indicative of loss of ethanoic acid from a carboxylic acid side chain. Widening the isolation width to 616 ± 3 resulted in production of a mass spectrum demonstrating the distinctive isotopic ratio of the iron containing fragment, further increasing the specificity of the analysis. Selective reactant monitoring (SRM) of the fragment ion (m/z = 557) was applied to the detection of FePTP after chromatography of ammoniacal OGP extracts of marine samples. The detection limit for FePTP analysed by SRM after chromatography was 1.2 ± 0.5 fmol. For phytoplankton samples, reasonably good agreement was achieved between results obtained with SRM and those obtained by monitoring absorbance at λ = 400 nm using a diode array detector (DAD). Use of SRM for analysis of particulate material obtained from the high latitude North Atlantic allowed for the analysis of FePTP in the presence of a co-eluting compound that interfered with detection by DAD. Simultaneous collection of mass spectra from m/z = 300 to 1500 resulted in identification of the pseudomolecular ion for the interfering compound. The CID fragmentation pattern and UV–visible mass spectra indicated that the interfering compound was a previously unidentified chlorin type compound. Comparison of FePTP determined by SRM and DAD on samples where this compound could not be detected showed that results collected using the two methods correlated. The use of both MS and DAD results in a powerful tool for quantifying this important biogenic component of the particulate iron pool.  相似文献
