The purpose in this paper is to prove that there exists a lattice on certain solvable Lie groups and to construct a symplectic solvmanifold with the Hard Lefschetz property, and a locally conformal Kähler solvmanifold. We see that minimal models for these solvmanifolds are formal.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with Chern‐Ricci flow evolution of left‐invariant hermitian structures on Lie groups. We study the behavior of a solution, as t is approaching the first time singularity, by rescaling in order to prevent collapsing and obtain convergence in the pointed (or Cheeger‐Gromov) sense to a Chern‐Ricci soliton. We give some results on the Chern‐Ricci form and the Lie group structure of the pointed limit in terms of the starting hermitian metric and, as an application, we obtain a complete picture for the class of solvable Lie groups having a codimension one normal abelian subgroup. We have also found a Chern‐Ricci soliton hermitian metric on most of the complex surfaces which are solvmanifolds, including an unexpected shrinking soliton example.  相似文献

We study a notion weakening the Einstein condition on a left invariant Riemannian metric g on a nilpotent Lie groupN. We consider those metrics satisfying Ric for some and some derivationD of the Lie algebra ofN, where Ric denotes the Ricci operator of . This condition is equivalent to the metric g to be a Ricci soliton. We prove that a Ricci soliton left invariant metric on N is unique up to isometry and scaling. The following characterization is also given: (N,g) is a Ricci soliton if and only if (N,g) admits a metric standard solvable extension whose corresponding standard solvmanifold is Einstein. This gives several families of new examples of Ricci solitons. By a variational approach, we furthermore show that the Ricci soliton homogeneous nilmanifolds (N,g) are precisely the critical points of a natural functional defined on a vector space which contains all the homogeneous nilmanifolds of a given dimension as a real algebraic set. We prove that each 3-dimensional connected topological loop L having a solvable Lie group of dimension ≤5 as the multiplication group of L is centrally nilpotent of class 2. Moreover, we classify the solvable non-nilpotent Lie groups G which are multiplication groups for 3-dimensional simply connected topological loops L and dim G ≤ 5. These groups are direct products of proper connected Lie groups and have dimension 5. We find also the inner mapping groups of L.  相似文献

We use a variational approach to prove that any nilpotent Lie algebra having a codimension-one abelian ideal, and anyone of dimension , admits a rank-one solvable extension which can be endowed with an Einstein left-invariant riemannian metric. We present several methods for the construction of balanced Hermitian structures on Lie groups. In our methods a partial differential equation is involved so that the resulting structures are in general non homogeneous. In particular, we prove that for 3-step nilpotent Lie groups G of dimension 6, any left-invariant complex structure on G admits a balanced Hermitian metric. Starting from normal almost contact structures, we construct balanced metrics on 6-dimensional manifolds, generalizing warped products. Finally, explicit balanced Hermitian structures are also given on solvable Lie groups defined as semidirect products ${\mathbb{R}^k \ltimes \mathbb{R}^{2n-k}}$ .  相似文献

We introduce obstructions to the existence of a calibrated G2-structure on a Lie algebra g of dimension seven, not necessarily nilpotent. In particular, we prove that if there is a Lie algebra epimorphism from g to a six-dimensional Lie algebra h with kernel contained in the center of g, then h has a symplectic form. As a consequence, we obtain a classification of the nilpotent Lie algebras that admit a calibrated G2-structure.  相似文献

We prove that the asymptotic Assouad–Nagata dimension of a connected Lie group G equipped with a left-invariant Riemannian metric coincides with its topological dimension of G/C where C is a maximal compact subgroup. To prove it we will compute the Assouad–Nagata dimension of connected solvable Lie groups and semisimple Lie groups. As a consequence we show that the asymptotic Assouad–Nagata dimension of a polycyclic group equipped with a word metric is equal to its Hirsch length and that some wreath-type finitely generated groups can not be quasi-isometrically embedded into any cocompact lattice on a connected Lie group.  相似文献

Starting from a 6-dimensional nilpotent Lie group N endowed with an invariant SU(3) structure, we construct a homogeneous conformally parallel G2-metric on an associated solvmanifold. We classify all half-flat SU(3) structures that endow the rank-one solvable extension of N with a conformally parallel G2 structure. By suitably deforming the SU(3) structures obtained, we are able to describe the corresponding non-homogeneous Ricci-flat metrics with holonomy contained in G2. We construct a sphere fibration over a finite aspherical Poincaré complex X, which we call the tangential end fibration, under the condition that the universal cover of X is forward tame and simply connected at infinity. In the homogeneous case, the only curvature behavior which is still far from being understood is Ricci negative. In this paper, we study which nilpotent Lie algebras admit a Ricci negative solvable extension. Different unexpected behaviors were found. On the other hand, given a nilpotent Lie algebra, we consider the space of all the derivations such that the corresponding solvable extension has a metric with negative Ricci curvature. Using the nice convexity properties of the moment map for the variety of nilpotent Lie algebras, we obtain a useful characterization of such derivations and some applications.  相似文献

We construct examples of symplectic half-flat manifolds on compact quotients of solvable Lie groups. We prove that the Calabi-Yau structures are not rigid in the class of symplectic half-flat structures. Moreover, we provide an example of a compact 6-dimensional symplectic half-flat manifold whose real part of the complex volume form is d-exact. Finally we discuss the 4-dimensional case. We use cohomological methods to study the existence of symplectic structures on nilmanifolds associated to two-step nilpotent Lie groups. We construct a new family of symplectic nilmanifolds with building blocks the quaternionic analogue of the Heisenberg group, determining the dimension of the space of all left invariant symplectic structures. Such structures can not be K?hlerian. Also, we prove that the nilmanifolds associated to H type groups are not symplectic unless they correspond to the classical Heisenberg groups. We study left invariant contact forms and left invariant symplectic forms on Lie groups. In the case of filiform Lie groups we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a left invariant contact form and we prove the uniqueness of this contact form up to a nonzero scalar multiple. As an application we classify all symplectic structures on nilpotent Lie algebras of dimension ?6.  相似文献

We study a special class of nilpotent Lie groups of step 2, that generalizes the class of the so-called H(eisenberg)-type groups, defined by A. Kaplan in 1980. We change the presence of an inner product to an arbitrary scalar product and relate the construction to the composition of quadratic forms. We present the geodesic equation for sub-semi-Riemannian metric on nilpotent Lie groups of step 2 and solve them for the case of general H-type groups. We also present some results on sectional curvature and the Ricci tensor of semi-Riemannian general H-type groups.  相似文献

In this paper we consider 2-step nilpotent Lie algebras, Lie groups and nilmanifolds associated with graphs. We present a combinatorial construction of the second cohomology group for these Lie algebras. In this paper, the main objective is to compare the abelian subalgebras and ideals of maximal dimension for finite-dimensional supersolvable Lie algebras. We characterise the maximal abelian subalgebras of solvable Lie algebras and study solvable Lie algebras containing an abelian subalgebra of codimension 2. Finally, we prove that nilpotent Lie algebras with an abelian subalgebra of codimension 3 contain an abelian ideal with the same dimension, provided that the characteristic of the underlying field is not 2. Throughout the paper, we also give several examples to clarify some results.  相似文献
