The paper presents the results of a numerical analysis of the boundary-value problem for a nonlinear Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation with two small parameters at the high-order derivatives. An approximation of higher order of accuracy is used to construct an iterative difference spline scheme and to obtain a numerical solution of the third-order equation subject to certain relationships between the two small parameters and the space and time increments. The behavior of the solution of the boundary-value problem is investigated for various parameters at the second and third derivative and for various time and space increments of the difference grid. The interaction of the solution of the degenerate problem (without the third derivative) with the solution of the equation containing two small parameters is investigated numerically.  相似文献

The article investigates the reconstruction of the internal boundary of a two-dimensional region in the two-dimensional initial–boundary-value problem for the homogeneous heat equation. The initial values for the determination of the internal boundary are provided by a boundary condition of second kind on the external boundary and the solution of the initial–boundary-value problem at finitely many points inside the region. The inverse problem is reduced to solving a system of integral equations nonlinear in the function describing the sought boundary. An iterative numerical procedure is proposed involving linearization of integral equations.  相似文献

Chaos and chaos synchronization of the centrifugal flywheel governor system are studied in this paper. By mechanics analyzing, the dynamical equation of the centrifugal flywheel governor system is established. Because of the non-linear terms of the system, the system exhibits both regular and chaotic motions. The characteristic of chaotic attractors of the system is presented by the phase portraits and power spectra. The evolution from Hopf bifurcation to chaos is shown by the bifurcation diagrams and a series of Poincaré sections under different sets of system parameters, and the bifurcation diagrams are verified by the related Lyapunov exponent spectra. This letter addresses control for the chaos synchronization of feedback control laws in two coupled non-autonomous chaotic systems with three different coupling terms, which is demonstrated and verified by Lyapunov exponent spectra and phase portraits. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed chaos synchronization scheme.  相似文献

The asymptotic solution of the integro-differential plasma-sheath equation is considered. This equation is singularly perturbed because of the small coefficient multiplying the highest order (second) derivative. The asymptotic solution is obtained by the boundary function method. Equations are derived for the first two coefficients in the form of both a regular series expansion and an expansion in boundary functions. The equation for the first coefficient of the regular series has only a trivial solution. A numerical algorithm is considered for the solution of the second-order differential equation describing the behavior of the zeroth-order boundary function. The article considers the self-similar solution of the nonlinear heat-conduction equation with a three-dimensional source evolving under blow-up conditions. The self-similar problem is a boundary-value problem for a nonlinear elliptical equation, which has a nonunique solution. The eigenfunction spectrum of the self-similar problem is investigated in the two-dimensional space. The problem is solved by Newton’s iterative method on a grid. Newton’s method is implemented using several alternative initial approximations. The eigenfunctions are continued in a parameter and their bifurcations are investigated. Several scenarios are identified for the evolution of the two-dimensional structures when the parameter is changed. The evolution of the eigenfunctions depends on the class and type of the particular structure. The Duffing equation with even-odd asymmetrical nonlinear-restoring force and one external forcingis investigated.The conditions of existence of primary resonance,second-order,third-order subharmonics,m-order subharmonics and chaos are given by using the second-averaging method,the Melnikov method andbifurcation theory.Numerical simulations including bifurcation diagram,bifurcation surfaces and phase portraitsshow the consistence with the theoretical analysis.The numerical results also exhibit new dynamical behaviorsincluding onset of chaos,chaos suddenly disappearing to periodic orbit,cascades of inverse period-doublingbifurcations,period-doubling bifurcation,symmetry period-doubling bifurcations of period-3 orbit,symmetry-breaking of periodic orbits,interleaving occurrence of chaotic behaviors and period-one orbit,a great abundanceof periodic windows in transient chaotic regions with interior crises and boundary crisis and varied chaoticattractors.Our results show that many dynamical behaviors are strictly departure from the behaviors of theDuffing equation with odd-nonlinear restoring force.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to investigate problems of the Navier-Stokes approximation to kinetic equations in terms of the so-called Chapman-Enskog projection. One considers properties of the Chapman-Enskog projection for the Cauchy problem for moment approximations of the kinetic equation and primarily the Chapman-Enskog projection for the Boltzmann-Peierls kinetic equation. The article considers the determination of the boundary of a two-dimensional region in which an initial boundary-value problem for the heat equation is defined, given the solution of the problem for all time instants at some points of the region. The direct problem is reduced to an integral equation, and numerical solutions of the inverse problem are obtained for the case when the boundary is an ellipse. We investigate the sensitivity of the observed variables to the location (relative to the boundary) of the point where the right-hand side of the equation is specified. On a Riemannian manifold of nonpositive sectional curvature (Cartan-Hadamard-type manifold), we consider a parabolic equation. The second boundary-value problem for this equation is set in a bounded domain whose surface is a smooth submanifold. We prove that the gradient of the simple-layer potential for this problem has a jump when passing across the submanifold, similarly to its behavior in a Euclidean space. We study the nonlinear problem of mean-square approximation of a real finite nonnegative continuous function of two variables by the modulus of a double Fourier integral depending on two parameters. The solution of this problem is reduced to the solution of a nonlinear two-dimensional integral equation of the Hammerstein type. A three-time level finite-difference scheme based on a fourth order in time and second order in space approximation has been proposed for the numerical solution of the nonlinear two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation. The method, which is analysed for local truncation error and stability, leads to the solution of a nonlinear system. To avoid solving it, a predictor–corrector scheme using as predictor a second-order explicit scheme is proposed. The procedure of the corrector has been modified by considering as known the already evaluated corrected values instead of the predictor ones. This modified scheme has been tested on the line and circular ring soliton and the numerical experiments have proved that there is an improvement in the accuracy over the standard predictor–corrector implementation. In this paper, complex dynamics of the discrete-time predator-prey system without Allee effect are investigated in detail. Conditions of the existence for flip bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation are derived by using center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory and checked up by numerical simulations. Chaos, in the sense of Marotto, is also proved by both analytical and numerical methods. Numerical simulations included bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov exponents, phase portraits, fractal dimensions display new and richer dynamics behaviors. More specifically, this paper presents the finding of period-one orbit, period-three orbits, and chaos in the sense of Marotto, complete period-doubling bifurcation and invariant circle leading to chaos with a great abundance period-windows, simultaneous occurrance of two different routes (invariant circle and inverse period- doubling bifurcation, and period-doubling bifurcation and inverse period-doubling bifurcation) to chaos for a given bifurcation parameter, period doubling bifurcation with period-three orbits to chaos, suddenly appearing or disappearing chaos, different kind of interior crisis, nice chaotic attractors, coexisting (2,3,4) chaotic sets, non-attracting chaotic set, and so on, in the discrete-time predator-prey system. Combining the existing results in the current literature with the new results reported in this paper, a more complete understanding is given of the discrete-time predator-prey systems with Allee effect and without Allee effect.  相似文献

The article considers the mathematical model of a lens antenna in the shape of a homogeneous dielectric torus excited by an axial magnetic dipole.
