用MOCVD在CaF_2衬底上生长的ZnSe/ZnS多量子阱材料,在77K下用N_2激光泵浦染料获得的宽带光脉冲进行了非线性光学测量,首次观察到ZnSe/ZnS多量子阱的激子光学双稳性,据分析这是由激子的能带增宽效应引起的增强吸收光学双稳性. 相似文献

建立了反馈调谐CO_2激光器的物理数学模型.稳态分析结果表明,只有当反馈系数大于某一临界值之后,才能出现激光器泵浦速率与激光输出之间的光学双稳性.线性稳定性分析的结果表明,系统失稳的必要条件是失谐量的Debye弛豫速率(反馈系统的带宽)必须超过布居反转的衰减速率.只有当激光泵浦落在某一范围内时,才出现不稳性.数值分析的结果证明了系统输出倍的周期分岔混沌行为.线性稳定性分析预言的Hopf分岔频率与数值分析的结果符合得很好. 相似文献

The optical feedback characteristics in a Zeeman-birefringence dual-frequency laser are studied during the laser cavity tuning in three different kinds of optical feedback conditions: (i) only // -light is fed back; (ii) only ⊥-light is fed back; (iii) both lights are fed back.A compact displacement sensor is designed using the experimental result that there is a nearly 90 degrees phase delay between the two lights' cosine optical feedback signals when both lights are fed back into the laser cavity.The priority order that the two lights' intensity curves appear can be used for direction discrimination. The resolution of the displacement sensor is at least 79 nm, and the sensor can discriminate the target's moving direction easily. 相似文献

The output characteristics of optical feedback in a helium neon laser with a birefringent internal cavity are studied systematically in five different regions of the gain curve for the two orthogonally polarized modes. When the laser operates in the two end regions of the laser gain curve, one of the two orthogonally polarized modes will be a leading one in optical feedback. Strong mode competition can be observed. However, when the laser operates in the middle region of the laser gain curve, the two modes can oscillate equally with optical feedback. Besides the intensity of the two polarized lights, the total light intensity is also studied at the same time. M-shaped optical feedback curves are found. Particularly, when the average intensities of the two lights are comparable, the intensity modulation curve of the total light is doubled, which can be used to improve the resolution of an optical feedback system.[第一段] 相似文献

We find theoretically that the optical modulation instability can spontaneously happen in the noninstantaneous defocusing medium when there is a coherent feedback. It requires both above-threshold gain and phase matching for the instability to happen, very similar to the oscillation condition of a laser. A simple method for the generation of short, single-mode CO2 laser pulses produced by applying two voltage gates (of amplitude 3Uλ/4 and Uλ/4) to an electro-optic Q-switch placed in a three-mirror cavity is proposed. Single, single-mode, well-synchronizable pulses of 3 ns duration and of 3 mJ energy have been experimentally achieved from a TEA CO2 laser with an intracavity Pockels cell with 3 ns switching time. Using a numerical simulation it is shown that with shorter switching time (≈1 ns) the method enables one to obtain, from such a laser, a single, megawatt pulse of 1 ns duration. 相似文献

腔调谐过程中同时对HeNe激光器进行光回馈,设定回馈镜驱动信号的周期远小于腔调谐信号的周期,此时便获得腔调谐过程中谐振腔中两垂直偏振光的回馈信号. 回馈的形式分为仅垂直光回馈、仅平行光回馈以及两光同时回馈三种情况. 当两光同时回馈时,两模式间的模竞争较弱,两光回馈曲线有一定的相位差,该相位差小于180°,两光总体波动幅度变化趋势相反. 当仅单偏振光回馈时,两模式间的模竞争较强,两光回馈曲线始终反相,而且两光波动幅度变化趋势相同,此时可以将两光强度信号相减以实现成倍提高回馈信号幅度,从而提高系统灵敏度. 尤其仅垂直光回馈时,两光各自光强波动幅值都较大,并且在较大的增益曲线范围内保持光强波动幅值无明显变化,该特性可用于提高回馈系统的抗干扰能力,减少因激光功率漂移而引起的错误计数.
