In this article, we first propose the Riemann-Hilbert problem for uniformly elliptic complex equations of first order and its well-posed-ness in multiply connected domains.Then we give the integral representation of solutions for modified Riemann-Hilbert problem of the complex equations. Moreover we shall obtain a priori estimates of solutions of the modified Riemann-Hilbert problem and verify its solvability. Finally the solvability results of the original boundary value problem can be obtained.  相似文献

In this article, we first transform the general uniformly elliptic systems of first order equations with certain conditions into the complex equations, and propose the discontinuous Riemann- Hilbert problem and its modified well-posedness for the complex equations. Then we give a priori estimates of solutions of the modified discontinuous Riemann-Hilbert problem for the complex equations and verify its solvability. Finally the solvability results of the original discontinuous Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem can be derived. In this paper, we consider the flow of two immiscible fluids in a onedimensional porous medium (the Verigin problem) and obtain a quasilinear parabolic equation in divergence form with the discontinuous coefficients. We study an infinite horizon optimal control problem for a system with two state variables. One of them has the evolution governed by a controlled ordinary differential equation and the other one is related to the latter by a hysteresis relation, represented here by either a play operator or a Prandtl-Ishlinskii operator. By dynamic programming, we derive the corresponding (discontinuous) first order Hamilton-Jacobi equation, which in the first case is of finite dimension and in the second case is of infinite dimension. In both cases we prove that the value function is the only bounded uniformly continuous viscosity solution of the equation.  相似文献

This article discusses a priori and a posteriori error estimates of discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for optimal control problem governed by the transport equation. We use variational discretization concept to discretize the control variable and discontinuous piecewise linear finite elements to approximate the state and costate variable. Based on the error estimates of discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the transport equation, we get a priori and a posteriori error estimates for the transport equation optimal control problem. The present paper concerns with the global structure and asymptotic behavior of the discontinuous solutions to flood wave equations. By solving a free boundary problem, we first obtain the global structure and large time behavior of the weak solutions containing two shock waves. For the Cauchy problem with a class of initial data, we use Glimm scheme to obtain a uniform BV estimate both with respect to time and the relaxation parameter. This yields the global existence of BV solution and convergence to the equilibrium equation as the relaxation parameter tends to 0.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the Sturm–Liouville equation with the jump conditions inside the interval (0,π). The inverse problem is studied, which consists in recovering operator coefficients from two spectra, corresponding to different boundary conditions. We prove the uniqueness theorem and provide necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability of the inverse problem. We also obtain the oscillation theorem for the eigenfunctions of the considered discontinuous boundary value problem.  相似文献

In this study, a Birkhoff-irregular boundary value problem for linear ordinary differential equations of the second order with discontinuous coefficients and the spectral parameter has been considered. Therefore, at the discontinuous point, two additional boundary conditions (called transmission conditions) have been added to the boundary conditions. The eigenvalue parameter is of the second degree in the differential equation and of the first degree in a boundary condition. The equation contains an abstract linear operator which is (usually) unbounded in the space Lq(−1, 1). Isomorphism and coerciveness with defects 1 and 2 are proved for this problem. Numerical methods for Volterra integral equations with discontinuous kernel need to be tuned to their peculiar form. Here we propose a version of the trapezoidal direct quadrature method adapted to such a type of equations. In order to delineate its stability properties, we first investigate about the behavior of the solution of a suitable (basic) test equation and then we find out under which hypotheses the trapezoidal direct quadrature method provides numerical solutions which inherit the properties of the continuous problem.  相似文献

This paper concerns the reconstruction of a scalar coefficient of a second-order elliptic equation in divergence form posed on a bounded domain from internal data. This problem finds applications in multi-wave imaging, greedy methods to approximate parameter-dependent elliptic problems, and image treatment with partial differential equations. We first show that the inverse problem for smooth coefficients can be rewritten as a linear transport equation. Assuming that the coefficient is known near the boundary, we study the well-posedness of associated transport equation as well as its numerical resolution using discontinuous Galerkin method. We propose a regularized transport equation that allow us to derive rigorous convergence rates of the numerical method in terms of the order of the polynomial approximation as well as the regularization parameter. We finally provide numerical examples for the inversion assuming a lower regularity of the coefficient, and using synthetic data.  相似文献

We study the existence of nonzero solutions of the Dirichlet problem for a higherorder equation of elliptic type with a discontinuous nonlinearity.
