Buchwalter and Schmets reconciled Cc(X) and Cp(X) spaces with most of the weak barrelledness conditions of 1973, but could not determine if -barrelled ⇔ ?-barrelled for Cc(X). The areas grew apart. Full reconciliation with the fourteen conditions adopted by Saxon and Sánchez Ruiz needs their 1997 characterization of Ruess' property (L), which allows us to reduce the Cc(X) problem to its 1973 status and solve it by carefully translating the topology of Kunen (1980) and van Mill (1982) to find the example that eluded Buchwalter and Schmets. The more tractable Cp(X) readily partitions the conditions into just two equivalence classes, the same as for metrizable locally convex spaces, instead of the five required for Cc(X) spaces. Our paper elicits others, soon to appear, that analytically characterize when the Tychonov space X is pseudocompact, or Warner bounded, or when Cc(X) is a df-space (Jarchow's 1981 question).  相似文献

In this paper, we study approximatively τ-compact and τ-strongly Chebyshev sets, where τ is the norm or the weak topology. We show that the metric projection onto τ-strongly Chebyshev sets are norm-τ continuous. We characterize approximatively τ-compact and τ-strongly Chebyshev hyperplanes and use them to characterize factor reflexive proximinal subspaces in τ-almost locally uniformly rotund spaces. We also prove some stability results on approximatively τ-compact and τ-strongly Chebyshev subspaces.  相似文献

Invexity of a function is generalized. The new class of nonconvex functions, called B-(p,r)-invex functions with respect to η and b, being introduced, includes many well-known classes of generalized invex functions as its subclasses. Some properties of the introduced class of B-(p,r)-invex functions with respect to η and b are studied. Further, mathematical programming problems involving B-(p,r)-invex functions with respect to η and b are considered. The equivalence between saddle points and optima, and different type duality theorems are established for this type of optimization problems.  相似文献

A t-packing is an ordered pair (V,P) where V is a v-set and P is a collection of k-subsets (blocks) of V such that each t-subset of V occurs in at most one block of P. If each t-subset of V occurs in exactly one block of P, then (V,P) is known as a Steiner (t,k,v)-design. We first prove a local weighted integral inequality for conjugate A-harmonic tensors. Then, as an application of our local result, we prove a global weighted integral inequality for conjugate A-harmonic tensors in Ls(μ)-averaging domains, which can be considered as a generalization of the classical result. A simple graph G is k-ordered (respectively, k-ordered hamiltonian) if, for any sequence of k distinct vertices v1,…,vk of G, there exists a cycle (respectively, a hamiltonian cycle) in G containing these k vertices in the specified order. In 1997 Ng and Schultz introduced these concepts of cycle orderability, and motivated by the fact that k-orderedness of a graph implies (k-1)-connectivity, they posed the question of the existence of low degree k-ordered hamiltonian graphs. We construct an infinite family of graphs, which we call bracelet graphs, that are (k-1)-regular and are k-ordered hamiltonian for odd k. This result provides the best possible answer to the question of the existence of low degree k-ordered hamiltonian graphs for odd k. We further show that for even k, there exist no k-ordered bracelet graphs with minimum degree k-1 and maximum degree less than k+2, and we exhibit an infinite family of bracelet graphs with minimum degree k-1 and maximum degree k+2 that are k-ordered for even k. A concept related to k-orderedness, namely that of k-edge-orderedness, is likewise strongly related to connectivity properties. We study this relation and give bounds on the connectivity necessary to imply k-(edge-)orderedness properties.  相似文献

The sequence spaces ?(p), c(p) and c0(p) were introduced and studied by Maddox [I.J. Maddox, Paranormed sequence spaces generated by infinite matrices, Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 64 (1968) 335-340]. In the present paper, the sequence spaces λ(u,v;p) of non-absolute type which are derived by the generalized weighted mean are defined and proved that the spaces λ(u,v;p) and λ(p) are linearly isomorphic, where λ denotes the one of the sequence spaces ?, c or c0. Besides this, the β- and γ-duals of the spaces λ(u,v;p) are computed and the basis of the spaces c0(u,v;p) and c(u,v;p) is constructed. Additionally, it is established that the sequence space c0(u,v) has AD property and given the f-dual of the space c0(u,v;p). Finally, the matrix mappings from the sequence spaces λ(u,v;p) to the sequence space μ and from the sequence space μ to the sequence spaces λ(u,v;p) are characterized.  相似文献

By using PIλDμ controller, we investigate the problem of computing the robust stability region for interval plant with time delay. The fractional order interval quasi-polynomial is decomposed into several vertex characteristic quasi-polynomials by the lower and upper bounds, in which the value set of the characteristic quasi-polynomial for vertex quasi-polynomials in the complex plane is a polygon. The D-decomposition technique is used to characterize the stability boundaries of each vertex characteristic quasi-polynomial in the space of controller parameters. We investigate how the fractional integrator order λ and the derivative order μ in the range (0, 2) affect the stabilizability of each vertex characteristic quasi-polynomial. The stability region of interval characteristic quasi-polynomial is determined by intersecting the stability region of each quasi-polynomial. The parameters of PIλDμ controller are obtained by selecting the control parameters from the stability region. Using the value set together with zero exclusion principle, the robust stability is tested and the algorithm of robust stability region is also proposed. The algorithm proposed here is useful in analyzing and designing the robust PIλDμ controller for interval plant. An example is given to show how the presented algorithm can be used to compute all the parameters of a PIλDμ controller which stabilize a interval plant family.  相似文献

An η-approximation approach introduced by Antczak [T. Antczak, A new method of solving nonlinear mathematical programming problems involving r-invex functions, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 311 (2005) 313-323] is used to obtain a solution Mond-Weir dual problems involving r-invex functions. η-Approximated Mond-Weir dual problems are introduced for the η-approximated optimization problem constructed in this method associated with the original nonlinear mathematical programming problem. By the help of η-approximated dual problems various duality results are established for the original mathematical programming problem and its original Mond-Weir duals.  相似文献

In this paper a general analysis of duality for an extended ε-variational inequality problem based on the notions of ε-convexity and ε-conjugacy is performed. Optimal solutions of both the primal and dual problems are also related to the saddle point of an associated Lagrangian. Gap functions for these problems are proposed. In this study, we define the double sequence spaces BS, BS(t), CSp, CSbp, CSr and BV, and also examine some properties of those sequence spaces. Furthermore, we show that these sequence spaces are complete paranormed or normed spaces under some certain conditions. We determine the α-duals of the spaces BS, BV, CSbp and the β(?)-duals of the spaces CSbp and CSr of double series. Finally, we give the conditions which characterize the class of four-dimensional matrix mappings defined on the spaces CSbp, CSr and CSp of double series.  相似文献
