We consider complex-valued functions f ∈ L 1 (R+2),where R +:= [0,∞),and prove sufficient conditions under which the double sine Fourier transform f ss and the double cosine Fourier transform f cc belong to one of the two-dimensional Lipschitz classes Lip(α,β) for some 0 α,β≤ 1;or to one of the Zygmund classes Zyg(α,β) for some 0 α,β≤ 2.These sufficient conditions are best possible in the sense that they are also necessary for nonnegative-valued functions f ∈ L 1 (R+2).  相似文献

Letf be a holomorphic self-map of the punctured plane ℂ*=ℂ\{0} with essentially singular points 0 and ∞. In this note, we discuss the setsI 0(f)={z ∈ ℂ*:f n (z) → 0,n → ∞} andI (f)={z ∈ ℂ*:f n (z) → 0,n → ∞}. We try to find the relation betweenI 0(f),I (t) andJ(f). It is proved that both the boundary ofI 0(f) and the boundary ofI )f) equal toJ(f),I 0(f) ∩J(f) ≠ θ andI (f) ∩J(f) ≠ θ. LetG be a discrete abelian group,Ĝ the character group ofG, andl (G)* the conjugate ofl (G) equipped with an Arens product. In many cases, we can find unitary functionsf such that χf is almost convergent to zero for all χ∈Ĝ. Some of these functions are then used to produce elements μ∈l (G)* such that γμ=0 whenever γ is an annihilator ofC 0(G). Regarded as Borel measures on βG, these elements satisfyxμ=0 for allx∈βG/G. They belong to the radical ofl (G)*, and each of them generates a left ideal ofl (G)* that contains no minimal left ideal.  相似文献

Let fL w 1 [−1, 1], let r n,m(f) be the best rational L w 1 -approximation for f with respect to real rational functions of degree at most n in the numerator and of degree at most m in the denominator, let m = m(n), and let lim n → ∞ (n-m(n)) = ∞. In this case, we show that the counting measures of certain subsets of sign changes of f-r n,m (f) converge weakly to the equilibrium measure on [−1, 1] as n → ∞. Moreover, we prove estimates for discrepancy between these counting measures and the equilibrium measure. We are concerned with the following Dirichlet problem: −Δu(x) = f(x, u), x∈Ω, uH 1 0(Ω), (P) where f(x, t) ∈C (×ℝ), f(x, t)/t is nondecreasing in t∈ℝ and tends to an L -function q(x) uniformly in x∈Ω as t→ + ∞ (i.e., f(x, t) is asymptotically linear in t at infinity). In this case, an Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz-type condition, that is, for some θ > 2, M > 0, 0 > θF(x, s) ≤f(x, s)s, for all |s|≥M and x∈Ω, (AR) is no longer true, where F(x, s) = ∫ s 0 f(x, t)dt. As is well known, (AR) is an important technical condition in applying Mountain Pass Theorem. In this paper, without assuming (AR) we prove, by using a variant version of Mountain Pass Theorem, that problem (P) has a positive solution under suitable conditions on f(x, t) and q(x). The friendly index set and the product-cordial index set of G are defined as the sets{|e+f(0)-e+f(1)|:f is friendly} and {|e*f(0)-e*f(1)| : f is friendly}. We obtain a generalization of the complete Perron effect whereby the characteristic exponents of all solutions change their sign from negative for the linear approximation system to positive for a nonlinear system with perturbations of higher-order smallness [Differ. Moreover, we prove that the (C, α, β) means are uniformly bounded on the spaces Hp(T×T) whenever 1/(α+1), 1(β+1)<p<∞. We investigate an initial value problem which is closely related to the Williams-Bjerknes tumour model for a cancer which spreads through an epithelial basal layer modeled onI ⊂ Z 2.
