We study charmed baryon resonances that are generated dynamically from a coupled-channel unitary approach that implements heavy-quark symmetry. Some states can already be identified with exper-imental observations, such as Λ_c(2595), Λ_c(2660), Σ_c(2902) or Λ_c(2941), while others need a compilation of more experimental data as well as an extension of the model to include higher order contributions. We also compare our model to previous SU(4) schemes.  相似文献

If the number of colors N c is taken large, baryons and their excitations can be considered in a mean-field approach. We argue that the mean field in baryons breaks spontaneously the spherical and SU(3) flavor symmetries, but retains the SU(2) symmetry of simultaneous rotations in space and isospace. The one-quark and quark-hole excitations in the mean field, together with the SU(3) rotational bands about them determine the spectrum of baryon resonances, which turns out to be in good accordance with reality when one puts N c =3.A by-product of this scheme is a confirmation of the light pentaquark Θ + baryon uudds as a typical Gamov–Teller resonance long known in nuclear physics. An extension of the same large-N c logic to charmed baryons leads to a prediction of a anti-decapenta (15)-plet of charmed pentaquarks, two of which,B ++ c = cuuds and B + c = cudds, may be light and stable with respect to strong decays.  相似文献

We study the properties of charmed hadrons in dense matter within a coupled-channel approach which accounts for Pauli blocking effects and meson self-energies in a self-consistent manner. We analyze the behaviour in this dense environment of dynamically-generated baryonic resonances as well as the open-charm meson spectral functions. We discuss the implications of the in-medium properties of open-charm mesons on the D s0 (2317) and the predicted X(3700) scalar resonances.  相似文献

We study here the Cabibbo enhanced charmed baryon decays in theSU(4) semidynamical model. The weak Hamiltonian 20″ + 15 + 45 + 45* can have the parity violating amplitude for charmed baryon decays. Decay width and α for some modes are also calculated.  相似文献

The magnetic moments of charmed baryons are studied in the covariant oscillator quark model including isospin symmetry breaking effect. In the uncharmed sector, the results differ from those obtained using conventional non-relativistic quark model (nrqm). But in the charmed sector the present values are much nearer to thenrqm results than those calculated using models with hadron mass dependence.  相似文献

Sum rules for the coupling constants for D (20), B (20′) and P (16) are given taking into account first order breaking of SU (4) and SU (3) symmetries. The D (20) and B (20′) contain the usual 3/2+ baryon decuplet and 1/2+ baryon octet of SU (3), while the P (16) contains the usual pseudoscalar octet of pions, etc. These sum rules generalize the decuplet → octet + octet sum rules of broken SU (3 to a broken SU (4) symmetry scheme, in particular the charm SU (4) for hadrons. It is pointed out that, of the many sum rules, it may be possible to check some of them experimentally (see Section 5) and thus provide a test for an underlying SU (4 symmetry for strong interactions.  相似文献

Mass relations among charmed and uncharmed baryons belonging to20 and20′ multiplets of SU(4) are derived in the framework of SU(8) symmetry, Spin singlet mass breaking interaction is found to give unsatisfactory results. Second order effects and spin triplet mass breaking interactions are studied to improve the situation.  相似文献

In an extension of the standard model, where baryon number and lepton number are local gauge symmetries,we analyze the effect of corrections from exotic fermions and scalars on the oblique parameters S,T,U.Because a light neutral Higgs ho with mass around 124-126 GeV strongly constrains the corresponding parameter space of this model,we also investigate the gluon fusion process gg→h_0 and two photon decay of the lightest neutral Higgs ho→γγ at the Large Hadron Collider.  相似文献

In an extension of the standard model, where baryon number and lepton number are local gauge sym- metries, we analyze the effect of corrections from exotic fermions and scalars on the oblique parameters S, T, U. Relations among the magnetic moments of charmed and uncharmed baryons are derived in the framework of SU(4) and SU(8) symmetries. The SU(3) resultμ (Σ o)=−μ(Λ) is not present in SU(4), but is obtained in SU(8). Higher order effects are further considered to improve the situation.  相似文献

Assuming that the anomalous magnetic moment interaction has the formaT 1 1 +bT 2 2 +cT 4 4 +sT α α in SU(4), which may arise due to symmetry breaking or some other dynamical effects, we have obtained the magnetic moments and the transition moments of the ordinary and charmed baryons.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the reasons for our work towards establishing a new collaboration between Jefferson Lab (JLab) and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) in Beijing. We seek to combine experimentalists and theorists into a dedicated group focused on better understanding the current and future data from JLab and from the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC). Recent JLab results on the extraction of single- and double-polarization observables in both the lπ- and 2π-channel show their high sensitivity to small production amplitudes and therefore their importance for the extraction of resonance parameters. The Beijing Electron Spectrometer (BES) at the BEPC has collected high statistics data on J/ψ production. Its decay into baryon-antibaryon channels offers a unique and complementary way of probing nucleon resonances. The CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer, CLAS, has access to N* form factors at high Q2 which is advantageous for the study of dynamical properties of nucleon resonances, while the low-background BES results will be able to provide guidance for the search for less-dominant excited states at JLab. Moreover, with the recently approved experimental proposal Nucleon Resonance Studies with CLAS12 and the high-quality data streaming from BES-Ⅲand CLAS, the time has come for forging a new Trans-Pacific collaboration of theorists and experimentalists on NSTAR physics.  相似文献

A relativistic quark model based on Dirac equation with the independent-quark confining potential of the form (1 +γ 0)[a ln(r/b)] is used to compute the weak electric and magnetic form factors for semileptonic baryonic decays in the electronic decay modes. The values obtained for (g 2/g 1) agree with the non relativistic results and those for (f 2/f 1) agree with the MIT bag model values of Donoghue and Holstein. The SU(3) symmetry breaking does not generate appreciable departures in (f 2/f 1) values from corresponding Cabibbo values.  相似文献

The (4, 4*) ⊕ (4*, 4) model of broken chiral SU (4) × SU (4) symmetry has been used to calculate the third-order coupling constants involving charmed and ordinary pseudoscalar mesons. These coupling constants are exploited to derive some interesting new relations among the masses and decay constants of these charmed particles. Using the known masses and decay constants as inputs, we exploit these relations to predict:F D = −1·41F π ,F F = −1·13F π ,F D/FF = 1·25,m(D s) = 1·43 GeV,m(F s) = 1·39 GeV andm(K s) = 1·02 GeV.  相似文献

Differential cross-section and single polarization observables in the process γpK + Λ are investigated within a constituent-quark model and a dynamical coupled-channel formalism. The effects of two new nucleon resonances and of the K *(892)- and K1(1270)-exchanges are briefly presented.  相似文献

Weinberg-Salam model is considered in the light of SU(4) × SU(4) chiral symmetry for mesons. The Higgs doublet and the pseudoscalar mesons mix in this framework. Consequences of this mixing for the Higgs decays and the nonleptonic decays of the mesons are explored.  相似文献
