We consider a circulation system arising in turbulence modelling in fluid dynamics with unbounded eddy viscosities. Various notions of weak solution are considered and compared. In this paper we study the long-time behavior of binary mixture problem of solids, focusing on the interplay between nonlinear damping and source terms. By employing nonlinear semigroups and the theory of monotone operators, we obtain several results on the existence of local and global weak solutions, and uniqueness of weak solutions. Moreover, we prove that every weak solution to our system blows up in finite time, provided the initial energy is negative and the sources are more dominant than the damping in the system. Additional results are obtained via careful analysis involving the Nehari Manifold. Specifically, we prove the existence of a unique global weak solution with initial data coming from the “good” part of the potential well. For such a global solution, we prove that the total energy of the system decays exponentially or algebraically, depending on the behavior of the dissipation in the system near the origin.  相似文献

We first derive global existence for strong solutions to the system with smooth approximate initial data. Summary This paper considers the existence of optimal controls for systems governed by a second order parabolic partial differential equation in divergence form with Cauchy conditions. As preliminary results, theorems concerning the convergence of the sequence of weak solutions corresponding to a sequence of admissible controls are proved. Two general forms of criteria are considered. The first one is taken as a function of the weak solution of the system, and the other is taken as a function of the solution of the system and control. Several theorems and corollaries on the existence of optimal controls are then presented.  相似文献

We consider a nonstationary nonlinear initial-boundary value problem governing radiative-conductive heat transfer in a periodic system of grey heat shields. The concept of such a domain and weak energy solution for the system is defined and its existence is proved. In this paper we prove the existence of a solution of a coupled system involving a two phase incompressible flow in the ground and the mechanical deformation of the porous medium where the porosity is a function of the global pressure. The model is strongly coupled and involves a nonlinear degenerate parabolic equation. In order to show the existence of a weak solution, we consider a sequence of related uniformly parabolic problems and apply the Schauder fixed point theorem to show that they possess a classical solution. We then prove the relative compactness of sequences of solutions by means of the Fréchet-Kolmogorov theorem; this yields the convergence of a subsequence to a weak solution of the parabolic system.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence and uniqueness of the global solutions to the initial boundary value problem for a generalized Zakharov system with direct self‐interaction of the dispersive waves and weak dissipation in the nondispersive subsystem. We prove the global existence of the generalized solution to the problem by a priori estimates and Galerkin method. We also establish the regularity of the global generalized solution and the existence and uniqueness of the global classical solution. Moreover, we obtain the convergence of the solutions of the generalized Zakharov system with dissipation as the dissipative coefficient approaches zero.  相似文献

The sources may represent restoring forces, but may also be focusing thus potentially amplifying the total energy which is the primary scenario of interest. For the monodomain approximation of the bidomain equations, a weak solution concept is proposed. We analyze it for the FitzHugh-Nagumo and the Rogers-McCulloch ionic models, obtaining existence and uniqueness theorems. Subsequently, we investigate optimal control problems subject to the monodomain equations. After proving the existence of global minimizers, the system of the first-order necessary optimality conditions is rigorously characterized. The authors study the existence and long-time behavior of weak solutions to the bipolar transient quantum drift-diffusion model,a fourth order parabolic system.Using semi-discretization in time and entropy estimate,the authors get the global existence of nonnegative weak solutions to the one-dimensional model with nonnegative initial and homogenous Neumann(or periodic)boundary conditions.Furthermore,by a logarithmic Sobolev inequality,it is proved that the periodic weak solution exponentially approaches its mean value as time increases to infinity.  相似文献
