A circulant is a Cayley graph of a cyclic group. Arc-transitive circulants of square-free order are classified. It is shown that an arc-transitive circulant of square-free order n is one of the following: the lexicographic product , or the deleted lexicographic , where n = bm and is an arc-transitive circulant, or is a normal circulant, that is, Aut has a normal regular cyclic subgroup.  相似文献

In this article we investigate the annihilating-ideal graph of a commutative ring, introduced by Behboodi and Rakeei in [10 Behboodi, M., Rakeei, Z. (2011). The annihilating-ideal graph of commutative rings I. J. Algebra Appl. 10(4):727739.[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]]. Our main goal is to determine which algebraic properties of a ring are reflected in its annihilating-ideal graph. We prove that, for artinian rings, the annihilating-ideal graph can be used to determine whether the ring in question is a PIR or, more generally, if it is a dual ring. Moreover, with one trivial exception, the annihilating-ideal graph can distinguish between PIRs with different ideal lattices. In addition, we explore new techniques for classifying small annihilating-ideal graphs. Consequently, we completely determine the graphs with six or fewer vertices which can be realized as the annihilating-ideal graph of a commutative ring.  相似文献

A finite group G is called a Schur group, if any Schur ring over G is associated in a natural way with a subgroup of Sym(G) that contains all right translations. Recently, the authors have completely identified the cyclic Schur groups. In this article, it is shown that any abelian Schur group belongs to one of several explicitly given families only. In particular, any noncyclic abelian Schur group of odd order is isomorphic to ?3 × ?3 k or ?3 × ?3 × ? p where k ≥ 1 and p is a prime. In addition, we prove that ?2 × ?2 × ? p is a Schur group for every prime p.  相似文献

In 1993, Muzychuk [23 Muzychuk , Mikhail E. ( 1993 ). The structure of rational Schur rings over cyclic groups . European Journal of Combinatorics 14 : 479490 .[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]] showed that the rational Schur rings over a cyclic group Z n are in one-to-one correspondence with sublattices of the divisor lattice of n, or equivalently, with sublattices of the lattice of subgroups of Z n . This can easily be extended to show that for any finite group G, sublattices of the lattice of characteristic subgroups of G give rise to rational Schur rings over G in a natural way. Our main result is that any finite group may be represented as the (algebraic) automorphism group of such a rational Schur ring over an abelian p-group, for any odd prime p. In contrast, over a cyclic group the automorphism group of any Schur ring is abelian. We also prove a converse to the well-known result of Muzychuk [24 Muzychuk , Mikhail E. ( 1994 ). On the structure of basic sets of Schur rings over cyclic groups . In [J. Algeb. Combin. 19(2004), 123-141], Du et al. classified the orientable regular embeddings of connected simple graphs of order pq for any two primes p and q. In this paper, we shall classify the nonorientable regular embeddings of these graphs, where p ≠ q. Our classification depends on the classification of primitive permutation groups of degree p and degree pq but is independent of the classification of the arc-transitive graphs of order pq.  相似文献

A ring R is called clean if every element of it is a sum of an idempotent and a unit. A ring R is neat if every proper homomorphic image of R is clean. When R is a field, then a complete characterization has been obtained for a commutative group ring RG to be neat, but not clean. And if R is not a field, then necessary conditions are obtained for a commutative group ring RG to be neat, but not clean. In this paper we introduce and study the notion of a graded (strongly) nil clean ring which is group graded. We also deal with extensions of graded (strongly) nil clean rings to graded matrix rings and to graded group rings. The question of when nil cleanness of the component, which corresponds to the neutral element of a group, implies graded nil cleanness of the whole graded ring is examined. TheK-theory of the group algebra [] for a countable, discrete group is defined in terms of the simplicial ring of smooth simplices on [], where [] is given the fine topology with respect to its finite-dimensional, linear subspaces. The assembly map for this theory :K * B K * [] is studied and shown to be a rational injection. The proof uses the Connes-Karoubi Chern character fromK-theory of Banach algebras to cyclic homology, here generalized to any fine topological algebra, and proved to be multiplicative.  相似文献
