Recently Kifer introduced the concept of an Israeli (or Game) option. That is a general American-type option with the added possibility that the writer may terminate the contract early inducing a payment not less than the holder's claim had they exercised at that moment. Kifer shows that pricing and hedging of these options reduces to evaluating a stochastic saddle point problem associated with Dynkin games. Kyprianou, A.E. (2004) "Some calculations for Israeli options", Fin. Stoch. 8, 73-86 gives two examples of perpetual Israeli options where the value function and optimal strategies may be calculated explicity. In this article, we give a third example of a perpetual Israeli option where the contingent claim is based on the integral of the price process. This time the value function is shown to be the unique solution to a (two sided) free boundary value problem on (0, ∞) which is solved by taking an appropriately rescaled linear combination of Kummer functions. The probabilistic methods we appeal to in this paper centre around the interaction between the analytic boundary conditions in the free boundary problem, Itô's formula with local time and the martingale, supermartingle and submartingale properties associated with the solution to the stochastic saddle point problem.  相似文献

文献[1]提出了一种基于教育基金保险的欧式看涨期权,它赋予合约持有人在约定时间以约定价格购买连续支付固定年限的教育年金保险的权利,本文在[1]的基础上进一步提出基于教育基金保险的分期付款期权,该期权进一步改进了基于教育基金保险的欧式看涨期权,它赋予期权持有人分期支付期权费的权利,而不是一次性支付期权费,经过首期期权费的支付,期权持有人可以在继续支付期权费以持有期权和中断期权费的支付让期权作废之间选择,这样就可以使投资者在必要的时候取消期权,从而避免无效成本支出.该期权更加方便于低收入家庭和欲将资本用于其它高回报的投资的家庭进行教育投资.本文用后向递推和二叉树方法的方法给出期权定价公式,并确定分期支付的期权费的范围.  相似文献

Option pricing models are an important part of financial markets worldwide. The PDE formulation of these models leads to analytical solutions only under very strong simplifications. For more general models the option price needs to be evaluated by numerical techniques. First, based on an ideal pure diffusion process for two risky asset prices with an additional path-dependent variable for continuous arithmetic average, we present a general form of PDE for pricing of Asian option contracts on two assets. Further, we focus only on one subclass—Asian options with floating strike—and introduce the concept of the dimensionality reduction with respect to the payoff leading to PDE with two spatial variables. Then the numerical option pricing scheme arising from the discontinuous Galerkin method is developed and some theoretical results are also mentioned. Finally, the aforementioned model is supplemented with numerical results on real market data.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a unifying approach to option pricing under continuous‐time stochastic volatility models with jumps. For European style options, a new semi‐closed pricing formula is derived using the generalized complex Fourier transform of the corresponding partial integro‐differential equation. This approach is successfully applied to models with different volatility diffusion and jump processes. We also discuss how to price options with different payoff functions in a similar way. In particular, we focus on a log‐normal and a log‐uniform jump diffusion stochastic volatility model, originally introduced by Bates and Yan and Hanson, respectively. The comparison of existing and newly proposed option pricing formulas with respect to time efficiency and precision is discussed. We also derive a representation of an option price under a new approximative fractional jump diffusion model that differs from the aforementioned models, especially for the out‐of‐the money contracts. In this paper, we establish the option pricing model under sub-fractional Brownian motion, and consider the situation of the continuous dividend payments. Firstly, Wick-It\^{o} integral and partial differential method are used to get the option price of partial differential equation, and then through variable substitution into Cauchy problem, we can get the pricing formula of European call option with dividend-paying in sub-fractional Brownian motion environment. According to the pricing formula of European call option, the European put option pricing formula is obtained. Moreover, we study the parameter estimation in the model, and consider the unbiasedness and the strong convergence of the estimator.  相似文献

We consider the American option pricing problem in the case where the underlying asset follows a jump‐diffusion process. We apply the method of Jamshidian to transform the problem of solving a homogeneous integro‐partial differential equation (IPDE) on a region restricted by the early exercise (free) boundary to that of solving an inhomogeneous IPDE on an unrestricted region. We apply the Fourier transform technique to this inhomogeneous IPDE in the case of a call option on a dividend paying underlying to obtain the solution in the form of a pair of linked integral equations for the free boundary and the option price. We also derive new results concerning the limit for the free boundary at expiry. Finally, we present a numerical algorithm for the solution of the linked integral equation system for the American call price, its delta and the early exercise boundary. We use the numerical results to quantify the impact of jumps on American call prices and the early exercise boundary.  相似文献

We argue that the optimal stopping model which has been used by Yoshida to discuss option pricing can many times lead to an overoptimistic evaluation of payoffs (put option prices). This effect is due to the method used to compare fuzzy payoffs, using a Sugeno integral. It is shown that each fuzzy payoff can be associated to an indifferent non-fuzzy payoff which is never smaller than the highest value having membership 1. Several examples are given in which this property seems to be incovenient. We also show that this inconvenience cannot be avoided by replacing Sugeno integrals by any other integral-like functional like a t-seminormed integral or a Choquet integral. Finally we suggest to use the Campos–González ranking criterion instead.  相似文献

We derive a new high-order compact finite difference scheme for option pricing in stochastic volatility models. The scheme is fourth order accurate in space and second order accurate in time. Under some restrictions, theoretical results like unconditional stability in the sense of von Neumann are presented. Where the analysis becomes too involved we validate our findings by a numerical study. Numerical experiments for the European option pricing problem are presented. We observe fourth order convergence for non-smooth payoff.  相似文献

Computing semiparametric bounds for option prices is a widely studied pricing technique. In contrast to parametric pricing techniques, such as Monte-Carlo simulations, semiparametric pricing techniques do not require strong assumptions about the underlying asset price distribution. We extend classical results in this area. Specifically, we derive closed-form semiparametric bounds for the payoff of a European call option, given up to third-order moment (i.e., mean, variance, and skewness) information on the underlying asset price. We analyze how these bounds tighten the corresponding bounds, when only second-order moment (i.e., mean and variance) information is provided. We describe applications of these results in the context of option pricing; as well as in other areas such as inventory management, and actuarial science.  相似文献

This paper considers the option pricing problem for contingent claims of the European type in a (B,S)-market in which the stock price and the asset in the riskless bank account both have hereditary structures. The Black-Scholes equation for the classical option pricing problem is generalized to an infinite-dimensional equation to include the effects of time delay in the evolution of the financial market as well as a very general payoff function. A computational algorithm for the solution is also obtained via a double sequence of polynomials of a certain bounded linear functional on a Banach space and the time variable.  相似文献

The evaluation of option premium is a very delicate issue arising from the assumptions made under a financial market model, and pricing of a wide range of options is generally feasible only when numerical methods are involved. This paper is based on our recent research on numerical pricing of path-dependent multi-asset options and extends these results also to the case of Asian options with fixed strike. First, we recall the three-dimensional backward parabolic PDE describing the evolution of European-style Asian option contracts on two assets, whose payoff depends on the difference of the strike price and the average value of the basket of two underlying assets during the life of the option. Further, a suitable transformation of variables respecting this complex form of a payoff function reduces the problem to a two-dimensional equation belonging to the class of convection-diffusion problems and the discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method is applied to it in order to utilize its solving potentials. The whole procedure is accompanied with theoretical results and differences to the floating strike case are discussed. Finally, reference numerical experiments on real market data illustrate comprehensive empirical findings on Asian options.  相似文献

期权作为一种金融衍生产品,在欧美国家一直很受欢迎.由于其规避风险的特性,期权也吸引了中国投资者的兴趣.基于市场的需求,2015年初,上海证券交易所推出了中国首批期权产品,期权定价问题的研究热潮正席卷全球.本文研究的美式回望期权,是一种路径相关的期权,其支付函数不仅依赖于标的资产的现值,也依赖其历史最值.分析回望期权的特点,不难发现:1)这类期权空间变量的变化范围为二维无界不规则区域,难以应用数值方法直接求解;2)最佳实施边界未知,使得该问题变得高度非线性.本文的主要工作就是解决这两个困难,得到回望期权和最佳实施边界的数值逼近结果.现有的处理问题1)的有效方法是采用标准变量替换、计价单位变换以及Landau变换将定价模型化为一个[0,1]区间上的非线性抛物问题,本文也将沿用这些技巧处理问题1).进一步,采用有限元方法离散简化后的定价模型,并论证了数值解的非负性,提出了利用Newton法求解离散化的非线性系统.最后,通过数值模拟,验证了本文所提算法的高效性和准确性.  相似文献

Remanufacturing is one of recovery options for used products. As remanufacturing requires a continuous supply of used products, the economic incentive is required to attract customers to return their used products (called cores) and the problem of pricing a core becomes an important issue. Such a pricing problem is analogous to pricing an option, which can be used to sell the remanufactured cores (called core products). As sales price of core products follows a geometric Brownian motion, we propose a model here to evaluate the acquisition price of cores. This model links core acquisition price with the sale price of core product but assumes other costs such as logistics and remanufacturing to be deterministic. We have presented a numerical example to show its applicability. Since the model proposed here is generic, it is believed that the proposed model can be used in setting the core prices in many situations.  相似文献

Barrier options are standard exotic options traded in the financial market. These instruments are different from the vanilla options as the payoff of the option depends on whether the underlying asset price reaches a predetermined barrier level, during the life of the option. In this work, we extend the vanilla call barrier options to power call barrier options where the underlying asset price is raised to a constant power, within the standard Black–Scholes framework. It is demonstrated that the pricing of the power barrier options can be obtained from standard barrier options by a transformation which involves the power contract and a adjusted barrier. We present a numerical approach to the pricing of guaranteed minimum maturity benefits embedded in variable annuity contracts in the case where the guarantees can be surrendered at any time prior to maturity that improves on current approaches. Surrender charges are important in practice and are imposed as a way of discouraging early termination of variable annuity contracts. We formulate the valuation framework and focus on the surrender option as an American put option pricing problem and derive the corresponding pricing partial differential equation by using hedging arguments and Itô’s Lemma. Given the underlying stochastic evolution of the fund, we also present the associated transition density partial differential equation allowing us to develop solutions. An explicit integral expression for the pricing partial differential equation is then presented with the aid of Duhamel’s principle. Our analysis is relevant to risk management applications since we derive an expression of the delta for the sensitivity analysis of the guarantee fees with respect to changes in the underlying fund value. We provide algorithms for implementing the integral expressions for the price, the corresponding early exercise boundary and the delta of the surrender option. We quantify and assess the sensitivity of the prices, early exercise boundaries and deltas to changes in the underlying variables including an analysis of the fair insurance fees.  相似文献
