We define graded group schemes and graded group varieties and develop their theory. Graded group schemes are the graded analogue of a?ne group schemes and are in correspondence with graded Hopf algebras. Graded group varieties take the place of infinitesimal group schemes. We generalize the result that connected graded bialgebras are graded Hopf algebra to our setting and we describe the algebra structure of graded group varieties. We relate these new objects to the classical ones providing a new and broader framework for the study of graded Hopf algebras and a?ne group schemes.  相似文献

Let S be a scheme. We compute explicitly the group of homomorphisms, the S-sheaf of homomorphisms, the group of extensions, and the S-sheaf of extensions involving locally constant S-group schemes, abelian S-schemes, and S-tori. Using the obtained results, we study the categories of biextensions involving these geometrical objects. In particular, we prove that if G i (for i = 1, 2, 3) is an extension of an abelian S-scheme A i by an S-torus T i , the category of biextensions of (G 1, G 2) by G 3 is equivalent to the category of biextensions of the underlying abelian S-schemes (A 1, A 2) by the underlying S-torus T 3.   相似文献

We give equivalent and sufficient criteria for the automorphism group of a complete toric variety, respectively a Gorenstein toric Fano variety, to be reductive. In particular we show that the automorphism group of a Gorenstein toric Fano variety is reductive, if the barycenter of the associated reflexive polytope is zero. Furthermore a sharp bound on the dimension of the reductive automorphism group of a complete toric variety is proven by studying the set of Demazure roots.  相似文献

We prove that the cone over a Schubert variety inG/P (P being a maximal parabolic subgroup of classical type) is normal by exhibiting a 2-regular sequence inR(w) (the homogeneous coordinate ring of the Schubert varietyX(w) inG/P under the canonical protective embeddingG/P ⊂→ (p (H° G/P,L)),L being the ample generator of (PicG/P), which vanishes on the singular locus ofX(w). We also prove the surjectivity ofH° (G/Q, L) H° (X(w), L), whereQ is a classical parabolic subgroup (not necessarily maximal) ofG andL is an ample line bundle onG/Q.  相似文献

LetX (Δ) be the real toric variety associated to a smooth fan Δ. The main purpose of this article is: (i) to determine the fundamental group and the universal cover ofX (Δ), (ii) to give necessary and sufficient conditions on Δ under which π1(X(Δ)) is abelian, (iii) to give necessary and sufficient conditions on Δ under whichX(Δ) is aspherical, and when Δ is complete, (iv) to give necessary and sufficient conditions forC Δ to be aK (π, 1) space whereC Δ is the complement of a real subspace arrangement associated to Δ.  相似文献

Let G be a group acting transitively on a set X such that all subdegrees are finite. Isaacs and Praeger (1993) [5] studied the common divisor graph of (G,X). For a group G and its subgroup A, based on the results in Isaacs and Praeger (1993) [5], Kaplan (1997) [6] proved that if A is stable in G and the common divisor graph of (A,G) has two components, then G has a nice structure. Motivated by the notion of the common divisor graph of (G,X), Camina (2008) [3] introduced the concept of the IP-graph of a naturally valenced association scheme. The common divisor graph of (G,X) is the IP-graph of the association scheme arising from the action of G on X. Xu (2009) [8] studied the properties of the IP-graph of an arbitrary naturally valenced association scheme, and generalized the main results in Isaacs and Praeger (1993) [5] and Camina (2008) [3]. In this paper we first prove that if the IP-graph of a naturally valenced association scheme (X,S) is stable and has two components (not including the trivial component whose only vertex is 1), then S has a closed subset T such that the thin residue O?(T) and the quotient scheme (X/O?(T),S//O?(T)) have very nice properties. Then for an association scheme (X,S) and a closed subset T of S such that S//T is an association scheme on X/T, we study the relations between the closed subsets of S and those of S//T. Applying these results to schurian schemes and common divisor graphs of groups, we obtain the results of Kaplan [6] as direct consequences.  相似文献

A semiorthogonal decomposition for the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on a Brauer–Severi scheme is given. It relies on bounded derived categories of suitably twisted coherent sheaves on the base (© 2009 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

Define a random variable ξn by choosing a conjugacy class C of the Sylow p-subgroup of Spn by random, and let ξn be the logarithm of the order of an element in C. We show that ξn has bounded variance and mean order log n /log p +O(1), which differs greatly from the average order of elements chosen with equal probability. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

We prove two results about Witt rings W(−) of regular schemes. First, given a semi-local regular ring R of Krull dimension d, if U is the punctured spectrum, obtained from Spec(R) by removing the maximal ideals of height d, then the natural map is injective. Secondly, given a regular integral scheme X of finite Krull dimension, consider Q its function field and the natural map . We prove that there is an integer N, depending only on the Krull dimension of X, such that the product of any choice of N elements in is zero. That is, this kernel is nilpotent. We give upper and lower bounds for the exponent N. Received: December 4, 2001  相似文献

Abstract

There has been some interest in understanding the relationship between the number of cyclic subgroups of a group and its order. This relationship is controlled in many cases by the size of the set of non-squares of the group. We improve upon previously established bounds and classify groups that obtain our new bound.  相似文献

This a first step to develop a theory of smooth, étale, and unramified morphisms between Noetherian formal schemes. Our main tool is the complete module of differentials, which is, a coherent sheaf whenever the map of formal schemes is of pseudofinite type. Among our results, we show that these infinitesimal properties of a map of usual schemes carry over into the completion with respect to suitable closed subsets. We characterize unramifiedness by the vanishing of the module of differentials. Also we see that a smooth morphism of Noetherian formal schemes is flat and its module of differentials is locally free. The article closes with a version of Zariski's Jacobian criterion.  相似文献
