Ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone (CL) catalyzed bylanthanocenes, O(C_2H_4C_5H_3CH_3)_2YCl (Cat-YCl) and Me_2Si[(CH_3)_3SiC_5H_3]_2NdCl(Cat-NdCl) has been carried out for the first time. It has been found that both yttroceneand neodymocene are very efficient to catalyze the polymerization of CL, giving high molec-ular weight poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL ). The effects of [cat] / [ε- CL] molar ratio, polymeriza-tion temperature and time, as well as solvents were investigated and polymerization tem-perature is found to be the most important factor affecting the polymerization. The bulkpolymerization gives higher molecular weight PCL and higher conversion than that in solu-tion polymerization. NaBPh_4 was found to promote the polymerization of ε-caprolactone,and thus to increase both the polymerization conversion and MW of poly (ε- caprolactone ).  相似文献

An aromatic heterocyclic Schiff base neodymium complex bearing thiazole was synthesized and its activity in the ring-opening polymerization ofε-caprolactone(CL)was examined.The conditions of the CL/Nd molar ratio,monomer concentration,polymerization time and temperature were investigated.Activities of ca.171 kg/Nd·h were obtained under the optimum condition(CL/Nd=1600(molar ratio),[CL]=2.26 mol L~(-1),1 h at 50℃),giving a poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL)of number-average molecular weight M_n=5.4×10~4 and molecular weight distribution MWD=1.96.The conversion of CL monomer as high as 94% was observed after polymerized for one hour.The mechanism of coordination polymerization has also been illustrated.  相似文献

Poly( ε-caprolactone)(PCL) with weight-average molar mass over 10000g/mol was synthesized by microwave-assisted ring -opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone(ε-CL) with maleic acid(MA) as initiator (2.45GHz,360W,85min),Ibuprofen-PCL controlled release system was prepared directly by the ROP of ε-CL in its mixture with ibuprofen.The release of ibuprofen from the system was sustained and steady.  相似文献

The ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) using lanthanide thiolate complexes [(CH3CsH4)2Sm(μ-SPh)(THF)]2 (1) and Sm(SPh)3(HMPA)3 (2) as initiators has been investigated for the first time. Both of 1 and 2 were found to be highly efficient initiators for the ROP of ε-CL. The poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) with molecular weight Mn up to 1.97 ×10^5 and relatively narrow molecular weight distributions (1.20〈MW/Mn〈 2.00) have been obtained in high yield in the temperature range of 35-65℃. According to the polymer yield, 2 showed much higher activity than 1. However, the number-average molecular weight of PCL obtained with 2 was much lower than with 1. The possible polymerization mechanism of the ε-CL polymerization has been proposed based on the results of the end group analysis of the ε-CL oligomer.  相似文献

Tetrahydrosalen ligand was employed in the synthesis of gadolinium complex. The ligand was deprotoned by LiBu, and the afforded lithium salt was reacted with anhydrous GdCl3 to produce the gadolinium complex through salt metathesis. This complex was successfully used to initiate the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone. The initiation conditions in different temperature, monomer-to-initiator ratio and time were investigated. Under the condition: [ε-caprolactone]:[catalyst] = 600, 56 ℃, toluene: 2 ml, poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) with Mw = 11,2782 and PDI = 1.96 was achieved.  相似文献

Lanthanum complex supported by the heterocyclic Schiff-base ligand of N-(2-pyridyl)-3,5-di-tert-butyl-salicylaldimine was prepared and employed for the ring-opening polymerization(ROP)ofε-caprolactone(ε-CL).The polymers obtained with this initiator showed a unimodal molecular weight distribution implied that only one active species was present.Mechanism study revealed that the polymerization proceeds via acyl-oxygen bond cleavage.  相似文献

Hyperbranched polyamidoamines(HPAs) were directly employed as macroinitiators to initiate the Sn(Oct)2 catalyzed ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone(CL), resulting in multiarm star copolymers with poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL) as shells and HPA as core(HPA-b-PCL). From 1H-NMR characterization it was deduced that both the primary amines and the secondary amide groups of HPAs could initiate the CL polymerization, and the initiation efficiency increased when more CL monomers were fed. The average arm-numbers of the obtained stars were in the range of 115-353. Differential scanning calorimetry measurements demonstrated that the melting and crystallization temperatures, fusion and crystallization enthalpy and the degree of crystallinity of the star polymers increased as the PCL arm length increased. HPAb-PCL stars could be used as nanocarriers to efficiently accommodate anionic dyes at acidic condition, while load cationic dyes at basic condition. Compared with the dye-loading behavior of multiarm star PCL with the neutral hyperbranched polyglycerol as core, it was deduced that HPA-b-PCL nanocarriers accommodated anionic dyes using the HPA core, while loaded cationic dyes using both the HPA core and the PCL shell. Dynamic light scattering analyses also supported such deduction. Furthermore, HPA-b-PCL nanocarriers could selectively load the anionic Eosin Y or the cationic methylene blue from their mixture at p H = 6 or 9, respectively, realizing their separation.  相似文献

The bulk ring-opening polymerization(ROP) of ε-caprolactone(ε-CL) by various phosphoric acids using phenylmethanol as the initiator was conducted.1,1’-bi-2-Naphthol(BINOL)-based phosphoric acid was found to be an effective organocatalyst for ROP leading to polyesters at 90℃.The overall conversion to poly(ε-caprolactone) was more than 96% and poly(ε-caprolactone) with M w of 8400 and polydispersity index of 1.13 was obtained.1 H NMR spectra of oligomers demonstrated the quantitative incorporation of the protic initiator in the polymer chains and showed that transesterification reactions did not occur to a significant extent.The controlled polymerization was indicated by the linear relationships between the number-average molar mass and monomer conversion or monomer-to-initiator ratio.In addition,the present protocol provided an easy-to-handle,inexpensive and environmentally benign entry for the synthesis of biodegradable materials as well as polyesters for biomedical applications.  相似文献

In this contribution, we reported a novel synthesis of block copolymer networks composed of poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL) and polyethylene(PE) via the co-hydrolysis and condensation of α,ω-ditriethoxylsilane-terminated PCL and PE telechelics. First, α,ω-dihydroxylterminated PCL and PE telechelics were synthesized via the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone and the ring-opening metathesis polymerization of cyclooctene followed by hydrogenation of polycyclooctene. Both α,ω-ditriethoxylsilane-terminated PCL and PE telechelics were obtained via in situ reaction of α,ω-dihydroxyl-terminated PCL and PE telechelics with 3-isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane. The formation of networks was evidenced by the solubility and rheological tests. It was found that the block copolymer networks were microphase-separated. The PCL and PE blocks still preserved the crystallinity. Owing to the formation of crosslinked networks, the materials displayed shape memory properties. More importantly, the combination of PCL with PE resulted that the block copolymer networks had the triple shape memory properties, which can be triggered with the melting and crystallization of PCL and PE blocks. The results reported in this work demonstrated that triple shape memory polymers could be prepared via the formation of block copolymer networks.  相似文献

The poly(2,2-dimethyltrimethylene carbonate)(PDTC)with one hydroxyl and one formate terminal functions was synthesized by in situ generated,tetrahydrosalen stabilized yttrium borohydride complex.The influences of monomer/initiator molar ratio,temperature and reaction time on polymerization of DTC were investigated.Under the condition:[DTC]/[I]=500,55℃,toluene:0.5 mL,DTC:0.6 g,PDTC with Mn=15600 and PDI=2.15 was obtained. Through 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR analyses,the structure of PDTC was characterized and a coordination-insertion mechanism was proposed.In addition,the random copolymerization of DTC and caprolactone(CL)initiated by rare-earth borohydride compound was studied.The microstructure of PDTC-co-PCL includes four diads:DTC-CL,CL-CL,DTC-DTC and CL-DTC, which were determined by the specific signals in 1H-NMR spectra.Based on the typical signals of the formate(δ= 8.08)and hydroxyl(δ=3.34)end groups of PDTC-co-PCL,a mechanism involving DTC monomer inserts before CL during the initiation process was presumed.Furthermore,the thermal properties of amorphous copolymer were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).The results support the random structure of PDTC-co-PCL.  相似文献

A series of copolymers of lactide(LA) and e-caprolactone(ε-CL) with different monomer feed ratios were achieved using three kinds of bimetallic Schiff aluminum complexes as catalysts. The ratios of LA and ε-CL units in different copolymers and the average segments length were determined by NMR analysis. The comparative kinetic study of L-LA/ε-CL and rac-LA/ε-CL copolymerization systems showed that the polymerization rate of LA was faster than ε-CL, and L-LA showed polymerization rate slightly faster than rac-LA. It was inferred that the copolymers achieved by these complexes were gradient copolymers with gradual change in distribution of LA and e-CL units. The thermal properties of these copolymers were characterized by DSC analysis, which showed that the glass transition temperature(Tg) of these copolymers changed regularly according to the pro-portion change of two structural units.  相似文献

A series of mixed, random cylindrical brush copolymers bearing polystyrene(PS) and poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL) side chains were synthesized via the combination of ring-opening polymerization(ROP) and atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP). These novel cylindrical brush copolymers have been characterized by means of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography(GPC) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). It was found that the mikto-armed cylindrical brush copolymers were microphase-separated in bulks and that the morphologies were dependent on the mass ratios of PS to PCL side chains. One of the cylindrical brush copolymers was employed to incorporate into epoxy thermoset to investigate effect of the mikto-armed cylindrical brush architecture on the reaction-induced microphase separation behavior. Depending on the concentration of the cylindrical brush in epoxy, the thermosets can display the morphologies with the spherical, worm-like and lamellar PS microdomains dispersing in continuous thermosetting matrices.  相似文献

Binuclear aluminum alkyl complexes 2a–4g supported by linked bis(β-diketiminate) ligands were synthesized via the reaction of AlEt_3 or AlMe_3 and the corresponding proligand in a 2:1 molar ratio with moderate yields. The isolated complexes were well-characterized by ~1H-NMR, ~(13)C-NMR and elemental analysis. The binuclear nature of aluminum complex 2b was further confirmed by an X-ray diffraction study. All complexes 2a–4g could efficiently initiate the ring-opening polymerization(ROP) of ε-caprolactone in toluene. The substituents at the aromatic rings and the linker unit in the auxiliary ligands exerted significant influence on the catalytic behavior of the investigated aluminum complexes. Complex 4g(R~1 = R~2 = Cl) containing propylenyl bridging unit exhibited the highest catalytic activity among these complexes, which might be attributed to the increased electrophilicity of the metal center as well as more opened coordination sphere. The molecular weights of obtained poly(ε-caprolactone)s deviating considerably from the theoretical values indicated that the ROP of ε-caprolactone by complexes 2a–4g was not well-controlled, which was also judged from the broad molecular weight distributions(MWD = 1.47-2.47) of produced poly(ε-caprolactone)s. These complexes proved to be inactive toward the polymerization of rac-lactide alone. In the presence of alcohol the polymerization occurred, which was actually initiated by the decomposition species of the aluminum complex upon the treatment with isopropanol.  相似文献

A new method to synthesize a degradable terminal amino group-containing copolymer,poly(ethylene glycol)-b- poly(ε-caprolactone)(MPEG-PCL-NH_2),was developed in the following three steps:(1)the ring-opening polymerization (ROP)ofε-caprolactone from the Schiff base prepared from benzatdehyde and ethanolamine(Ph-CH=NCH_2CH_2OH)used as an initiator to obtain heterobifunctional poly(ε-caprolactone)with one terminal Schiff base group and one hydroxyl group (HO-PCL-CH_2CH_2N=CH-Ph);(2)the coupling reaction of two reactive precursors,a hydroxy-terminated HO-PCL- CH_2CH_2N=CH-Ph andα-monocarboxy-ω-monomethoxy poly(ethylene glycol)(CMPEG)to synthesize MPEG-PCL- CH_2CH_2N=CH-Ph;(3)the conversion of the -N=CH-Ph end-group into NH_2 end-group by acidification of acetic acid to obtain MPEG-PCL-NH_2.The structures from the precursors to the terminal amino group-containing copolymer were confirmed by ~1H-NMR and their molecular weights were measured by gel permeation chromatography.The amphiphilic terminal amino group-containing copolymer could self-assemble into micelles in an aqueous system with PCL block as the core and PEG block as the shell.The micelle formation of the terminal amino group-containing block copolymer was studied by fluorescent probe technique and the existence of critical micellar concentration(cmc)confirmed the amphiphilic nature of the resulting copolymer.ESEM and DLS analysis of the micelles revealed a homogeneous spherical morphology and a unimodal size distribution.  相似文献

In this work, a UV-Visible light controlled supramolecular system based on ethyl cellulose(EC) was constructed, combining the host-guest interaction of β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) group and trans-isomer of azobenzene(tAzo) group. To link β-CD to the hydrophobic section, renewable EC was used as macroinitiator to initiate the polymerization of ε-caprolactone(ε-CL) to form biocompatible and biodegradable comb copolymer EC-g-PCL, and β-CD was attached to the end of PCL side chain via click reaction. Meanwhile, hydrophilic PEG-tAzo was obtained by N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide(DCC) coupling. Then, the structures of the products were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and gel permeation chromatography(GPC). Subsequently, with the formation of inclusion complexes by β-CD and tAzo groups, the obtained EC-g-PCL-β-CD/PEG-tAzo supramolecular system self-assembled in water with hydrophobic EC-g-PCL-β-CD as core and hydrophilic PEG-tAzo as shell. Furthermore, dynamic light scattering(DLS) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) were utilized to investigate the particle size and size distribution, while NMR and UV-Vis spectra were applied to explore the UV-Visible light stimuli-responsiveness of the micelles.  相似文献

A biodegradable ABBA block copolymer was synthesized via the ring-opening co-polymerization of ε-Scaprolactone (CL, B) and glycolide (A) by means of step polymerization in the presence of ethylene glycol as an initiator and stannous octanoate as a catalyst at 110 ℃ for 48 h. The molecular length of the PCL prepolymer(BB) could be adjusted by controlling the molar ratio of the ethylene glycol initiator to ε-caprolactone monomer. The structure and the composition of the block copolymer were determined by the weight ratio of the monomer glycolide (A) to PCL pre-polymer(BB). The block copolymers were characterized by ^1H NMR, GPC, DSC and X-ray. The results confirm the successful synthesis of an ABBA block copolymer.  相似文献

Crystal orientation and melting behavior of poly(ε-caprolactone) in a diblock copolymer of poly(ε-caprolactone)-block-poly(2,5-bis[4-methoxyphenyl]oxycarbonyl)styrene) (PCL-b-PMPCS) was investigated. The degrees of polymerization of the PCL and PMPCS block are 200 and 98, respectively. With the PMPCS in a columnar liquid crystalline phase, the diblock is rod-coil one, which exhibits a lamellar phase morphology with the PCL layer thickness of 15.2 nm. Since the glass transition temperature of PMPCS block is much higher than the melting temperature of PCL, the crystallization of PCL is in a one-dimensionally "hard" confinement environment. Mainly on the basis of two-dimensional wide-angle X-ray diffraction experiments, we identified the orientation of PCL isothermally crystallized at various crystallization temperatures (Tcs). At high Tcs (Tc≥10℃), the c-axis of the PCL crystal is along the layer normal of the microphase-separated sturcture. Decreasing Tc can result in the tilting of PCL c-axis with respect to the layer normal. The lower the Tc is, the more the c-axis inclines. Meanwhile, the b-axis of PCL remains perpendicular to the layer normal. At a very low Tc of -78℃, the orientation of the PCL crystals is completely random. For the samples isothermally crystallized at Tc≤10℃, double melting behavior can be observed. While the low temperature endotherm reflects the melting of the crystals originally formed at the Tc applied, the high temperature one is associated with the crystals subjected to the process of recrystallization/reorganization upon heating due to the annealing effect.  相似文献

Lanthanide tris ( 2,6-dimethylphenolate ) s [ Ln ( ODMP)3 ] were used as iniliators for ring-opening polymerization of e-caprolac-tone (CL) for the first time. The influence of different rare earth elements and solvents was investigated. ^1H NMR spectral data of polycaprolactone (PCL) obtained showed that the poly-merization mechanism is in agreement with the coordination-in-sertion mechanism and the selective cleavage of the acyl-oxygen bond of CL.  相似文献
