Spin-orbit effects on the differential cross-sections for the deuteron and proton elastic scattering are considered. Relations between the parameters of the optical potentials of the deuteron and its constituent nucleons are discussed. The variation of the deuteron and proton potential depths with energy is also considered.  相似文献

Differential cross sections, vector and tensor analysing powers of deuterons elastically scattered by 40Ar at 9.0, 10.75 and 12.0 MeV have been measured. The results have been analysed in terms of an optical potential containing complex central, spin-orbit and tensor terms. It is found that not only could all five observables be fitted very well but the parameters found also give excellent predictions for the excitation function of the cross section and T20 at 175°, as well as for the 15 MeV vector analysing power data.  相似文献

The general expressions for parity violation observables in elastic scattering of polarized and/or unpolarized electrons from unpolarized deuterons are given and are numerically evaluated for the kinematics of SAMPLE, PVA4 and G0 experiments. The dominant contribution from the interference of and Z exchange as well as the smaller contributions from strangeness (s components of the nucleon, parity odd admixtures in the deuteron wave function, anapole moments and radiative corrections are included and discussed in the context of parity-violating electron scattering experiments of present interest.  相似文献

The vector and tensor polarization of the deuteron after scattering and the dependence of the cross section on the polarization before scattering are given for elastic electron deuteron scattering treating the deuteron as a spin 1 elementary particle characterized by three electromagnetic formfactors and describing the interaction by the first Born approximation. By using polarization measurements a separation of the charge and quadrupole formfactors may be accomplished, and thus the assumptions may be tested, which are necessary for the extraction of the isoscalar nucleon formfactors from the deuteron formfactors.  相似文献

In this paper we construct a kind of deuteron optical potential with the folding model. For the nucleon optical potential, we choose two kinds of forms: the phenomenological global nucleon optical potential and the microscopic nucleon optical potential based on the nuclear-matter approach. We use our folding and global deuteron optical potential to calculate the reaction cross-sections, elastic scattering angular distributions, and the values for 64 target nuclei.  相似文献

For the elastic scattering of heavy ions a microscopic model is developed which uses shell model wave functions which are localised at a certain distance both in coordinate and momentum space. The antisymmetrization is treated exactly. Using oscillator functions and the Brink-Boeker force the energy dependent real part of the optical potential for O16- O16 scattering is numerically determined. The effects of pion-exchange pari and recoil currents on the electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron are calculated. Both exchange currents give significant contributions to the charge form factor and, despite some cancellation, their net effect is appreciable for q2 ? 10 fm?2.  相似文献

The results of a Dirac equation optical model analysis of p-4He elastic scattering data are reported. The optical potential obtained at 1029 MeV reproduces the systematics of p-4He data over the energy range from 560 to 1730 MeV.  相似文献

Measurements are reported of the spin correlation parameter Cy,y for the elastic scattering of 10.0 MeV vector polarized deuterons from a polarized proton target at five CM angles (76°, 85°, 98°, 115°, 132°). The experimental results are compared with different predictions. A Faddeev type calculation on the basis of local potentials also including approximate Coulomb distortion is favoured by our experimental results.  相似文献

We study the effect of weak neutral currents in elastic electron deuteron scattering on both unpolarized and polarized deuteron targets. Theoretical expressions have been derived for the polarized electron asymmetry, polarized target asymmetry and recoil deuteron vector polarization within the framework of impulse approximation. We show that these polarization parameters can give vital information on the space-time and isospin structure of the hadronic weak neutral current. In particular, our numerical estimates show that a measurement of polarized target asymmetry is sensitive to the isoscalar axial vector piece in the hadronic neutral current which, though zero in the Weinberg-Salam model, is not completely ruled out by the data.  相似文献

With the aim of clarifying roles of the 3NFs in nuclei experimental programs with polarized deuterons beams at intermediate energies are in progress at RIKEN RI Beam Factory. As the first step, we have measured a complete set of deuteron analyzing powers (iT 11, T 20, T 21, T 22) in deuteron-proton elastic scattering at 250 and 294 MeV/nucleon. The obtained data are compared with the Faddeev calculations based on the modern nucleon-nucleon forces together with the Tucson-Melbourne’99, and UrbanaIX three nucleon forces.  相似文献

The Chou-Yang model forpp elastic scattering, modified to include the effect of coupled inelastic channels, is used to fit recent data in the region of the dip, i.e., 1.0≦|t|≦2.0 (GeV/c)2 for incident momenta ranging from 35 to 250 GeV/c. Good quantitative agreement is found for an inelastic coupling which is predominantly real, as compared to the mostly imaginary elastic coupling. Implications for dips at highert, which are predicted by the model but as yet not observed experimentally, are discussed.  相似文献

The general formalism for polarization observables in elastic electron deuteron scattering is extended to incorporate parity- and time-reversal-violating contributions. Parity-violating effects arise from the interference of γ and Z exchange as well as from the hadronic sector via a small parity-violating component in the deuteron. In addition we have allowed for time-reversal-invariance-violating contributions in the hadronic sector. Formal expressions for the additional structure functions are derived, and their decomposition into the various multipole contributions are given explicitly.
