In this paper, we study the reducing subspaces for the multiplication operator by a finite Blaschke product \({\phi}\) on the Dirichlet space D. We prove that any two distinct nontrivial minimal reducing subspaces of \({M_\phi}\) are orthogonal. When the order n of \({\phi}\) is 2 or 3, we show that \({M_\phi}\) is reducible on D if and only if \({\phi}\) is equivalent to \({z^n}\). When the order of \({\phi}\) is 4, we determine the reducing subspaces for \({M_\phi}\), and we see that in this case \({M_\phi}\) can be reducible on D when \({\phi}\) is not equivalent to \({z^4}\). The same phenomenon happens when the order n of \({\phi}\) is not a prime number. Furthermore, we show that \({M_\phi}\) is unitarily equivalent to \({M_{z^n} (n > 1)}\) on D if and only if \({\phi = az^n}\) for some unimodular constant a.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to classify, for given integers \({m,\, n\geq 1}\), the bordism class of a closed smooth \({m}\)-manifold \({X^m}\) with a free smooth involution \({\tau}\) with respect to the validity of the Borsuk–Ulam property that for every continuous map \({\phi : X^m \to \mathbb{R}^n}\) there exists a point \({x\in X^m}\) such that \({\phi (x)=\phi (\tau (x))}\). We will classify a given free \({\mathbb{Z}_2}\)-bordism class \({\alpha}\) according to the three possible cases that (a) all representatives \({(X^m, \tau)}\) of \({\alpha}\) satisfy the Borsuk–Ulam property; (b) there are representatives \({({X_{1}^{m}}, \tau_1)}\) and \({({X_{2}^{m}}, \tau_2)}\) of \({\alpha}\) such that \({({X_{1}^{m}}, \tau_1)}\) satisfies the Borsuk–Ulam property but \({({X_{2}^{m}}, \tau_2)}\) does not; (c) no representative \({(X^m, \tau)}\) of \({\alpha}\) satisfies the Borsuk–Ulam property.  相似文献

A sufficient criterion for the map \({C_{A, B}(S) = ASB}\) to be supercyclic on certain algebras of operators on Banach spaces is given. If T is an operator satisfying the Supercyclicity Criterion on a Hilbert space H, then the linear map \({C_{T}(V) = TVT^*}\) is shown to be norm-supercyclic on the algebra \({\mathcal{K}(H)}\) of all compact operators, COT-supercyclic on the real subspace \({\mathcal{S}(H)}\) of all self-adjoint operators and weak*-supercyclic on \({\mathcal{L}(H)}\) of all bounded operators on H. Examples including operators of the form \({C_{B_w, F_\mu}}\) are provided, where Bw and \({F_\mu}\) are respectively backward and forward shifts on Banach sequence spaces.  相似文献

Let A and \({(-\widetilde{A})}\) be dissipative operators on a Hilbert space \({\mathcal{H}}\) and let \({(A,\widetilde{A})}\) form a dual pair, i.e. \({A \subset \widetilde{A}^*}\), resp. \({\widetilde{A} \subset A^*}\). We present a method of determining the proper dissipative extensions \({\widehat{A}}\) of this dual pair, i.e. \({A\subset \widehat{A} \subset\widetilde{A}^*}\) provided that \({\mathcal{D}(A)\cap\mathcal{D}(\widetilde{A})}\) is dense in \({\mathcal{H}}\). Applications to symmetric operators, symmetric operators perturbed by a relatively bounded dissipative operator and more singular differential operators are discussed. Finally, we investigate the stability of the numerical range of the different dissipative extensions.  相似文献

Let \({T}\) be a homomorphism from a Banach algebra \({B}\) to a Banach algebra \({A}\). The Cartesian product space \({A\times B}\) with \({T}\)-Lau multiplication and \({\ell^1}\)-norm becomes a new Banach algebra \({A\times _T B}\). We investigate the notions such as approximate amenability, pseudo amenability, \({\phi}\)-pseudo amenability, \({\phi}\)-biflatness and \({\phi}\)-biprojectivity for Banach algebra \({A\times_T B}\). We also present an example to show that approximate amenability of \({A}\) and \({B}\) is not stable for \({A\times _TB}\). Finally we characterize the double centralizer algebra of \({A\times _T B}\) and present an application of this characterization.  相似文献

Let \({\mathcal L}\equiv-\Delta+V\) be the Schrödinger operator in \({{\mathbb R}^n}\), where V is a nonnegative function satisfying the reverse Hölder inequality. Let ρ be an admissible function modeled on the known auxiliary function determined by V. In this paper, the authors characterize the localized Hardy spaces \(H^1_\rho({{\mathbb R}^n})\) in terms of localized Riesz transforms and establish the boundedness on the BMO-type space \({\mathop\mathrm{BMO_\rho({\mathbb R}^n)}}\) of these operators as well as the boundedness from \({\mathop\mathrm{BMO_\rho({\mathbb R}^n)}}\) to \({\mathop\mathrm{BLO_\rho({\mathbb R}^n)}}\) of their corresponding maximal operators, and as a consequence, the authors obtain the Fefferman–Stein decomposition of \({\mathop\mathrm{BMO_\rho({\mathbb R}^n)}}\) via localized Riesz transforms. When ρ is the known auxiliary function determined by V, \({\mathop\mathrm{BMO_\rho({\mathbb R}^n)}}\) is just the known space \(\mathop\mathrm{BMO}_{\mathcal L}({{\mathbb R}^n})\), and \({\mathop\mathrm{BLO_\rho({\mathbb R}^n)}}\) in this case is correspondingly denoted by \(\mathop\mathrm{BLO}_{\mathcal L}({{\mathbb R}^n})\). As applications, when n?≥?3, the authors further obtain the boundedness on \(\mathop\mathrm{BMO}_{\mathcal L}({{\mathbb R}^n})\) of Riesz transforms \(\nabla{\mathcal L}^{-1/2}\) and their adjoint operators, as well as the boundedness from \(\mathop\mathrm{BMO}_{\mathcal L}({{\mathbb R}^n})\) to \(\mathop\mathrm{BLO}_{\mathcal L}({{\mathbb R}^n})\) of their maximal operators. Also, some endpoint estimates of fractional integrals associated to \({\mathcal L}\) are presented.  相似文献

We study the family of weighted harmonic Bloch spaces \(b_\alpha , \alpha \in {\mathbb {R}}\), on the unit ball of \({\mathbb {R}}^n\). We provide characterizations in terms of partial and radial derivatives and certain radial differential operators that are more compatible with reproducing kernels of harmonic Bergman–Besov spaces. We consider a class of integral operators related to harmonic Bergman projection and determine precisely when they are bounded on \(L^\infty _\alpha \). We define projections from \(L^\infty _\alpha \) to \(b_\alpha \) and as a consequence obtain integral representations. We solve the Gleason problem and provide atomic decomposition for all \(b_\alpha , \alpha \in {\mathbb {R}}\). Finally we give an oscillatory characterization of \(b_\alpha \) when \(\alpha >-1\).  相似文献

The Cesàro operator C, when acting in the classical growth Banach spaces \({A^{-\gamma}}\) and \({A_0^{-\gamma}}\), for \({\gamma} > 0\), of analytic functions on \({\mathbb{D}}\), is investigated. Based on a detailed knowledge of their spectra (due to A. Aleman and A.-M. Persson) we are able to determine the norms of these operators precisely. It is then possible to characterize the mean ergodic and related properties of C acting in these spaces. In addition, we determine the largest Banach space of analytic functions on \({\mathbb{D}}\) which C maps into \({A^{-\gamma}}\) (resp. into \({A_0^{-\gamma}}\)); this optimal domain space always contains \({A^{-\gamma}}\) (resp. \({A_0^{-\gamma}}\)) as a proper subspace.  相似文献

This paper is a follow-up contribution to our work (Sarkar in J Oper Theory, 73:433–441, 2015) where we discussed some invariant subspace results for contractions on Hilbert spaces. Here we extend the results of (Sarkar in J Oper Theory, 73:433–441, 2015) to the context of n-tuples of bounded linear operators on Hilbert spaces. Let \(T = (T_1, \ldots , T_n)\) be a pure commuting co-spherically contractive n-tuple of operators on a Hilbert space \({\mathcal {H}}\) and \({\mathcal {S}}\) be a non-trivial closed subspace of \({\mathcal {H}}\). One of our main results states that: \({\mathcal {S}}\) is a joint T-invariant subspace if and only if there exists a partially isometric operator \(\Pi \in {\mathcal {B}}(H^2_n({\mathcal {E}}), {\mathcal {H}})\) such that \({\mathcal {S}}= \Pi H^2_n({\mathcal {E}})\), where \(H^2_n\) is the Drury–Arveson space and \({\mathcal {E}}\) is a coefficient Hilbert space and \(T_i \Pi = \Pi M_{z_i}\), \(i = 1, \ldots , n\). In particular, it follows that a shift invariant subspace of a “nice” reproducing kernel Hilbert space over the unit ball in \({{\mathbb {C}}}^n\) is the range of a “multiplier” with closed range. Our work addresses the case of joint shift invariant subspaces of the Hardy space and the weighted Bergman spaces over the unit ball in \({{\mathbb {C}}}^n\).  相似文献

We prove a Beurling-Blecher-Labuschagne theorem for \({H^\infty}\)-invariant spaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M},\tau)}\) when \({0 < p \leq\infty}\), using Arveson’s non-commutative Hardy space \({H^\infty}\) in relation to a von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) with a semifinite, faithful, normal tracial weight \({\tau}\). Using the main result, we are able to completely characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z},\tau)}\), where \({\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z} }\) is a crossed product of a semifinite von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) by the integer group \({\mathbb{Z}}\), and \({H^\infty}\) is a non-selfadjoint crossed product of \({\mathcal{M}}\) by \({\mathbb{Z}^+}\). As an example, we characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of the Schatten p-class \({S^p(\mathcal{H})}\), where \({H^\infty}\) is the lower triangular subalgebra of \({B(\mathcal{H})}\), for each \({0 < p \leq\infty}\).  相似文献

We consider the strong field asymptotics for the occurrence of zero modes of certain Weyl–Dirac operators on \({\mathbb{R}^3}\). In particular, we are interested in those operators \({\mathcal{D}_B}\) for which the associated magnetic field \({B}\) is given by pulling back a two-form \({\beta}\) from the sphere \({\mathbb{S}^2}\) to \({\mathbb{R}^3}\) using a combination of the Hopf fibration and inverse stereographic projection. If \({\int_{\mathbb{s}^2} \beta \neq 0}\), we show that
$$\sum_{0 \leq t \leq T} {\rm dim Ker} \mathcal{D}{tB}=\frac{T^2}{8\pi^2}\,\Big| \int_{\mathbb{S}^2}\beta\Big|\,\int_{\mathbb{S}^2}|{\beta}| +o(T^2)$$
as \({T\to+\infty}\). The result relies on Erd?s and Solovej’s characterisation of the spectrum of \({\mathcal{D}_{tB}}\) in terms of a family of Dirac operators on \({\mathbb{S}^2}\), together with information about the strong field localisation of the Aharonov–Casher zero modes of the latter.

It is shown that for any maximal dissipative operator A in some Hilbert space \({\mathcal H}\) , which is the orthogonal sum \({\mathcal H=\mathcal F\oplus \mathcal G}\) of two Hilbert spaces \({\mathcal F,\, \mathcal G}\) with \({{\rm dim}\,\mathcal G < \infty}\) , the compression \({\left. T:=P_\mathcal F\,A\right|_{{\rm dom}\,A\cap\mathcal F}}\) of A to \({\mathcal F}\) is again a maximal dissipative operator in \({\mathcal F}\) .  相似文献

We study certain ergodic properties of equilibrium measures of hyperbolic non-invertible maps f on basic sets with overlaps Λ. We prove that if the equilibrium measure \({\mu_\phi}\) of a Holder potential \({\phi}\) , is 1-sided Bernoulli, then f is expanding from the point of view of a pointwise section dimension of \({\mu_\phi}\) . If the measure of maximal entropy μ 0 is 1-sided Bernoulli, then f is shown to be distance expanding on Λ; and if \({\mu_\phi}\) is 1-sided Bernoulli for f expanding, then \({\mu_\phi}\) must be the measure of maximal entropy. These properties are very different from the case of hyperbolic diffeomorphisms. Another result is about the non 1-sided Bernoullicity for certain equilibrium measures for hyperbolic toral endomorphisms. We also prove the non-existence of generating Rokhlin partitions for measure-preserving endomorphisms in several cases, among which the case of hyperbolic non-expanding toral endomorphisms with Haar measure. Nevertheless the system \({(\Lambda, f, \mu_\phi)}\) is shown to have always exponential decay of correlations on Holder observables and to be mixing of any order.  相似文献

We introduce a property which we denote by NZ\({(\kappa)}\), where \({\kappa}\) is a cardinal. We show that chain neighborhood (F) spaces and monotonically metacompact spaces satisfy NZ(1), and that NZ\({(\kappa)}\) implies D if \({\kappa \leq \omega}\). Also, NZ\({(\kappa)}\) is closed under arbitrary subspaces and finite products, and countable products if \({\kappa}\) is infinite. It follows that any countable product of chain neighborhood (F) spaces and monotonically metacompact spaces is hereditarily a D-space. This provides a strong positive answer to a question of X. Yuming. We also prove that spaces satisfying NZ\({(\kappa)}\) are metacompact if \({\kappa}\) is finite, and meta-Lindelöf if \({\kappa = \omega}\).  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to prove the following result. Let R be a 2-torsion free semiprime ring with symmetric Martindale ring of quotients Q s and let \({\theta}\) and \({\phi}\) be automorphisms of R. Suppose \({T:R\rightarrow R}\) is an additive mapping satisfying the relation \({T(xyx)=T(x)\theta (y)\theta (x)-\phi (x)T(y)\theta (x)+\phi (x)\phi (y)T(x)}\), for all pairs \({x,y\in R}\). In this case T is of the form \({2T(x)=q\theta (x)+\phi (x)q}\), for all \({x\in R}\) and some fixed element \({q\in Q_{s}}\).  相似文献

We prove from suitable large cardinal hypotheses that the least weakly compact cardinal can be unfoldable, weakly measurable and even nearly \({\theta}\)-supercompact, for any desired \({\theta}\). In addition, we prove several global results showing how the entire class of weakly compactcardinals, a proper class, can be made to coincide with the class of unfoldable cardinals, with the class of weakly measurable cardinals or with the class of nearly \({\theta_\kappa}\)-supercompact cardinals \({\kappa}\), for nearly any desired function \({\kappa\mapsto\theta_\kappa}\). These results answer several questions that had been open in the literature and extend to these large cardinals the identity-crises phenomenon, first identified by Magidor with the strongly compact cardinals.  相似文献

Let X be a non-void set and A be a subalgebra of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . We call a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional \({\varphi}\) on A a 1-evaluation if \({\varphi(f) \in f(X) }\) for all \({f\in A}\) . From the classical Gleason–Kahane–?elazko theorem, it follows that if X in addition is a compact Hausdorff space then a mapping \({\varphi}\) of \({C_{\mathbb{C}}(X) }\) into \({\mathbb{C}}\) is a 1-evaluation if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism. In this paper, we aim to investigate the extent to which this equivalence between 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms can be generalized to a wider class of self-conjugate subalgebras of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . In this regards, we prove that a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional on a self-conjugate subalgebra A of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) is a positive \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\overline{1}}\) -evaluation, that is, \({\varphi(f) \in\overline{f\left(X\right)}}\) for all \({f\in A}\) . As consequences of our general study, we prove that 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms on \({C_{\mathbb{C}}\left( X\right)}\) coincide for any topological space X and we get a new characterization of realcompact topological spaces.  相似文献

We consider a broad class of linear Perron–Frobenius operators \({\Lambda:X \rightarrow X}\), where \({X}\) is a real Banach space of \({C^m}\) functions. We prove the existence of a strictly positive \({C^m}\) eigenvector \({v}\) with eigenvalue \({r=r(\Lambda) =}\) the spectral radius of \({\Lambda}\). We prove (see Theorem 6.5 in Sect. 6 of this paper) that \({r(\Lambda)}\) is an algebraically simple eigenvalue and that, if \({\sigma(\Lambda)}\) denotes the spectrum of the complexification of \({\Lambda,\sigma(\Lambda) \backslash \{r(\Lambda)\}\subseteq \{\zeta \in \mathbb{C} \big| |\zeta| \le r_*\}}\), where \({r_* < r(\Lambda)}\). Furthermore, if \({u \in X}\) is any strictly positive function, \({(\frac 1r \Lambda)^k(u) \rightarrow s_u v}\) as \({k \rightarrow \infty}\), where \({s_u > 0}\) and convergence is in the norm topology on \({X}\). In applications to the computation of Hausdorff dimension, one is given a parametrized family \({\Lambda_s,s > s_*}\), of such operators and one wants to determine the (unique) value \({s_0}\) such that \({r(\Lambda_{s_0})=1}\). In another paper (Falk and Nussbaum in C\({^{\rm m}}\) Eigenfunctions of Perron–Frobenius operators and a new approach to numerical computation of Hausdorff dimension, submitted) we prove that explicit estimates on the partial derivatives of the positive eigenvector \({v_s}\) of \({\Lambda_s}\) can be obtained and that this information can be used to give rigorous, sharp upper and lower bounds for \({s_0}\).  相似文献
