将微环谐振腔应用于普通马赫-曾德尔干涉仪滤波器中,构成一种新型滤波器,用信号流程图法推导了其输出端传递函数,并对其输出结果进行了模拟.结果表明:该滤波器能输出透过率近似平顶和平底的矩形方波,自由光谱范围达111GHz,消光比达10.2dB.和普通的马赫-曾德尔干涉仪滤波器相比,自由光谱范围、消光比、精细度都显著提高.改变微环谐振腔和马赫-曾德尔干涉仪滤波器的组合方式,得到更多的输出波形.讨论了各项参量对器件输出性能的影响.  相似文献

基于外调制器的可控八倍频光载毫米波生成技术研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
采用了二加一的结构,提出了一种基于三并联集成马赫-曾德尔调制器(MZM)、可应用于毫米波光载无线通信(RoF)系统的新型高质量八倍频光载毫米波信号生成方案。该方案通过利用两个子马赫-曾德尔调制器(subMZMs)间射频(RF)驱动信号的电相位差为90来很好地消除两种冗余边带,再使用第三个子马赫-曾德尔调制器(sub-MZM)的偏压调整来获取最佳信号。仿真结果表明在不采用任何光或电滤波器的情况下,常规消光比(30dB)时,射频杂散抑制比(RFSSR)可以达到38.3315dB。而在理想消光比(100dB)时,光边带抑制比(OSSR)最高可达61.22878dB。该方案在理想和常规消光比下均能得到高质量的毫米波信号。  相似文献

将环形谐振器与马赫-曾德尔干涉仪相结合,利用谐振器反馈回路引入的相位调节效应,选择合适的谐振器耦合角,设计出一种具有最大平坦滤波响应的环形谐振器辅助马赫-曾德尔干涉型波长交错滤波器.与普通马赫-曾德尔干涉型波长交错滤波器相比,不仅阻带抑制(>38dB)和过渡带滚降特性明显加强,而且在通带中心15 GHz范围,将色散降低到±10 ps/nm以内,从而可以有效避免对传输信号造成失真.在此基础上,进一步研究环周长(Lr)与马赫-曾德尔干涉臂长差(△L)之间的关系,指出波长交错滤波器奇偶输出端口的带宽分配比直接决定于Lr/△L,当调整Lr/△L=1/2,可以实现具有1;2非对称带宽分配特性的新型波长交错滤波器,为10 Gb/s向10 Gb/s 40 Gb/s系统升级提供一种简单、灵活的方式.  相似文献

级联马赫—曾德尔干涉仪滤波器可实现平顶化的滤波器频谱响应,但是利用传统的传输矩阵法。并不能方便地得到级联马赫—曾德尔干涉仪滤波器中各耦合器的耦合系数。将级联马赫—曾德尔干涉仪滤波器与数字信号处理中的有限脉冲响应滤波器进行了类比,并将数字滤波器的设计方法引入到级联马赫—曾德尔干涉仪滤波器的设计中,将滤波器的传输函数表示成为各耦合器耦合系数的显式函数,同时利用遗传算法,计算了对于给定的滤波器频谱响应,级联马赫—曾德尔干涉仪光滤波器中各耦合器的耦合系数。通过实例证明了利用数字滤波器的设计方法及遗传算法设计级联马赫—曾德尔干涉仪光滤波器,不仅可以得到理想的结果,而且可以提高光滤波器的设计效率。  相似文献

利用低频光通信波段真空压缩态光场可实现基于光纤的量子精密测量.本文利用简并光学参量振荡器实验制备出1550 nm低频真空压缩态光场.在分析频段10—500 kHz范围内压缩态光场的压缩度均达3 dB.用实验制备的1550 nm真空压缩态光场填补光纤马赫-曾德尔干涉仪的真空通道,实现了量子增强型光纤马赫-曾德尔干涉仪,完成了突破标准量子极限的相位调制频率为500 kHz的低频信号测量.与光纤马赫-曾德尔干涉仪相比,测量信噪比提高了2 dB.  相似文献

研究了基于周期极化反转铌酸锂光波导级联二阶非线性效应实现非归零码到归零码高速全光码型转换的新方案,使用的是马赫-曾德尔干涉仪结构.转换原理是非归零码信号光在级联倍频和差频过程中受到的放大作用引起马赫-曾德尔干涉仪的不平衡,进而通过干涉相消产生归零码信号光输出.首先从耦合波方程出发,数值模拟了非归零码到归零码码型转换过程.然后分析了波导长度、光功率、相对时延对消光比的影响并对码型转换进行了优化设计.最后分析了转换带宽,模拟计算表明信号光在90nm的3dB带宽内可调谐,进而可以实现多信道的同时转换. 关键词: 码型转换 级联倍频和差频 周期极化反转铌酸锂 马赫-曾德尔干涉仪  相似文献

针对基于传统马赫-曾德尔干涉仪的差分相移键控(DPSK)解调系统对光源相干性的要求高、臂长差和码速失配容忍度低、容易受到振动和温度的影响等问题,提出了一种基于新型马赫-曾德尔干涉结构的DPSK解调系统,采用光信号两次经过马赫-曾德尔干涉结构、参考臂和干涉臂之间相对延时1 bit干涉的方式实现了DPSK信号的解调。通过仿真和实验相结合的方法验证了新型解调系统的原理正确性及其性能。在系统Q值大于7的情况下,新型解调系统臂长差和调制码速率之间的失配因子容忍区间达到了0.25~1.73,其中Q值下降小于3 dB的区间达到了0.79~1.09。最后通过DPSK调制与解调实验以及温度稳定性验证实验证明了:在采用宽带光源(臂长差大于光源相干长度)的条件下,新型解调系统能够实现DPSK信号解调,降低了对光源相干性的要求,并且在0~70℃的环境中系统Q值在10以上,证明了系统具有较好的温度稳定性。  相似文献

提出薄膜器件与光纤器件构成组合器件的概念,详细研究了薄膜Gires-Tournois干涉仪型光学全通滤波器与光纤马赫-曾德尔干涉仪组合成的波长交错器的传输特性。并讨论了反射系数、损耗、色散、耦合比等参量对器件性能的影响。最后,提出一个双向马赫-曾德尔干涉仪组合器件的方案及其在双向波分复用系统中的应用。  相似文献

We demonstrate a multi-wavelength semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) fiber ring laser with a dual-pass Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) filter. Two SOAs with different gain spectra provide sufficient gain and a wider gain spectrum to facilitate multi-wavelength lasing. The dual-pass MZI, configured by adding an optical isolator to the two outputs of the conventional MZI, serves as comb filter for multi-wavelength operation, and its extinction ratio can be enhanced to twofold as that of the conventional MZI in the same parameters. To investigate the influences of a dual-pass MZI filter and a conventional MZI filter on multi-wavelength operation, two different cavity configurations are presented and compared, including a single-SOA ring cavity and a double-SOA ring cavity. Stable simultaneous operation at 82 wavelengths, with a wavelength spacing of 40 GHz and a power deviation of 5 dB, and with a minimum optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) of 28 dB, is observed from the double-SOA ring cavity using a dual-pass MZI filter.  相似文献

A novel wavelength switchable all-fiber comb filter based on a dual-pass Mach-Zehnder (M-Z) interferometer is proposed and demonstrated. The proposed filter consists of a rotatable polarizer and a standard dual-pass M-Z interferometer composed of two 3-dB fiber couplers with a polarization controller (PC) in one arm. When the PC is properly set, the wavelength switchable operation is achieved by adjusting the polarization state of the input light. Theoretical calculation is verified by the experimental results. As applications, the proposed comb filter is incorporated into a fiber ring laser to generate wavelength switchable multiwavelength lasing.  相似文献

A tunable and switchable single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) dual-wavelength fiber laser incorporating a reconfigurable dual-pass Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) filter was proposed and demonstrated, which can be applied in microwave generation. By incorporating a high extinction ratio (ER) dual-pass MZI into an erbium-doped fiber ring cavity, SLM dual-wavelength lasing can be achieved even using a MZI with relatively little free spectrum range (FSR), and by beating the two wavelengths at a photodetector, a 9.76 GHz microwave signal with a 3-dB bandwidth of less than 10 kHz is obtained. Moreover, by direct linking the two outputs of the MZI, the high ER dual-pass MZI is easily reconfigured as a half FSR dual-pass MZI. Using this structure, switchable SLM dual-wavelength lasing can be conveniently realized.  相似文献

采用改进的反射式Mach-Zehnder干涉滤波器,对双程后向结构掺铒光纤超荧光光源(DPB SFS) 分别进行光谱分割和光谱预分割,构建了两种结构的多波长超荧光光纤光源(MW SFS),波长间隔为~0.8 nm时,在1550 nm附近(1542~1559 nm)20个波长的功率波动小于0.5 dB其中前者消光比高达27 dB;后者消光比~18 dB,在泵浦光功率为72.8 mW时,最大输出功率25.3 mW,光光转换效率高达34.8%改变Mach-Zehnder干涉仪的臂长差,采用光谱预分割技术,得到1550 nm附近波长间隔~0.4 nm、消光比~16 dB的50个波长输出  相似文献

In this paper, using a direct double-pass and a novel isolator-assisted double-pass waveguide-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI), high-performance SOA-based multiwavelength fiber lasers (MFL) are proposed and demonstrated experimentally. The filtering characteristics of the proposed isolator-assisted double-pass MZI are analyzed and examined theoretically in comparison with those of the single-pass and direct double-pass MZI. Using a direct double-pass waveguide-based MZI with the single-pass free spectral range (FSR) of 43 GHz, up to 115- and 104-channel simultaneous oscillations spaced at 21.5 GHz in the L-band and C-band are obtained, respectively, with a power non-uniformity of less than 3 dB and an extinction ratio of ∼30 dB. To the best of our knowledge, it is the highest lasing-channel count that has been achieved from an SOA-based MFL. To enhance the extinction ratio while maintaining the FSR, the proposed isolator-assisted double-pass MZI is then utilized in the laser cavity, and a stable 55-wavelength simultaneous oscillation spaced at 43 GHz is accordingly achieved in C-band with an extinction ratio of higher than 50 dB. Compared with the lasing linewidth of 0.058 nm with the conventional single-pass MZI, narrower linewidths of 0.038 and 0.028 nm are obtained with the isolator-assisted and direct double-pass MZI configurations, respectively. The lasers are stable with a maximum power fluctuation per channel of less than 0.8 dB during an hour’s test.  相似文献

A comb fiber filter based on modal interference is proposed and demonstrated in this paper. Here two cascaded uptapers are used to excite the cladding mode, and a core-offset jointing point is used to act as an interference component.Experimental results show that this kind of structure possesses a comb filter property in a range of the C-band. The measured extinction ratio is better than 12 dB with an insertion loss of about 11 dB. A switchable multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser based on this novel comb filter is demonstrated. By adjusting the polarization controller, the output laser can be switched among single-, dual-, and three-wavelengths with a side mode suppression ratio of better than 45 dB.  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a dual-pass unbalanced in-line Sagnac interferometer as a novel comb filter for implements in erbium-doped fiber lasers to obtain wide wavebands of multiwavelength radiations with enhancements of signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). The hybrid combinations of the comb filter with the two schemes of nonlinear polarization rotation and intensity dependent loss have successfully not only enlarged the lasing bandwidth up to 47 nm but also enhanced the SNR up to 40 dB. The simultaneous lasing-wavelengths of 117 channels are also obtained. The multiwavelength lasing spectra with free spectral range of 0.4 nm covering the full L-band are useful for the applications of DWDM and WDM-PON systems.  相似文献

We report on an optical fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer made by offset splicing a dual-mode fiber with two single-mode fibers. The extinction ratio can be tuned from less than 1 dB to greater than 28 dB by rotating the dual-mode fiber along its axial direction. The interferometer is utilized as a pulse shaper to convert a 2.5 ps Gaussian pulse to a 5.2 ps flat-top pulse.  相似文献
