Seventeen rotational transitions up to N=7 of the NH2 radical in its ground vibronic state have been measured by far infrared laser magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Analysis of the Zeeman patterns and hyperfine structure yields precise rotational, spin-rotational and distortion parameters, and isotropic and anisotropic hyperfine interaction parameters for both 14N and 1H nuclei.  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of citric acid oxidation by CrVI; catalyzed by MnII, has been studied in H2O and in the presence of anionic and cationic surfactants. A linear correlation between k obs −1 and [MnII]−1 was found, satisfying the Michaelis–Menten kinetics. The rate-determining step is the decomposition of complex HCrO4–citric acid–MnII formed between citric acid–MnII and CrVI. Based on kinetic data, a one-step three-electron oxidation mechanism has been proposed. The rate decreased with increase in concentration of the cationic surfactants cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and cetylpyridinium bromide (CPB), while anionic sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) had no effect on the rate. The data have been interpreted in terms of reaction in the aqueous phase. The effect of added anions, such as chloride, bromide, nitrate, and sulphate, has been studied and discussed. The activation parameters (ΔH and ΔS ) were significantly affected by the presence of 10.0 × 10−4 mol dm−3 of CTAB or CPB. The complexation reactions between Mg2+, Ca2+, Ag+ and Cd2+ metal cations with N-phenylaza-15-crown-5 (Ph-N15C5) were studied in acetonitrile (AN)–methanol (MeOH), methanol (MeOH)–water (H2O) and propanol (PrOH)–water (H2O) binary mixtures at different temperatures using the conductometric method. The conductance data show that the stochiometry of all of the complexes with Mg2+, Ca2+, Ag+ and Cd2+ cations is 1:1 (L:M). The stability of the complexes is sensitive to the solvent composition and a non-linear behaviour was observed for variation of log K f of the complexes versus the composition of the binary mixed solvents. The selectivity order of Ph-N15C5 for the metal cations in neat MeOH is Ag+>Cd2+>Ca2+>Mg2+, but in the case of neat AN is Ca2+>Cd2+>Mg2+>Ag+. The values of thermodynamic parameters (ΔH c o , ΔS c o ) for formation of Ph-N15C5–Mg2+, Ph-N15C5–Ca2+, Ph-N15C5–Ag+ and Ph-N15C5–Cd2+ complexes were obtained from temperature dependence of stability constants and the results show that the thermodynamics of complexation reactions is affected by the nature and composition of the mixed solvents.  相似文献

Aminoborane, H2NBH2 and its isotopologues, H2N10BH2, D2NBD2, and D2N10BD2, have been studied by high-level ab initio methods. All calculations rely on multidimensional potential energy surfaces and dipole moment surfaces including high-order mode coupling terms, which have been obtained from electronic structure calculations at the level of explicitly correlated coupled-cluster theory, CCSD(T)-F12, or the distinguishable cluster approximation, DCSD. Subsequent vibrational structure calculations based on second-order vibrational perturbation theory, VPT2, and vibrational configuration interaction theory, VCI, were used to determine rotational constants, centrifugal distortion constants, vibrationally averaged geometrical parameters and (an)harmonic vibrational frequencies. The impact of core-correlation effects is discussed in detail. Rovibrational VCI calculations were used to simulate the gas phase spectra of these species and an in-depth analysis of the ν7 band of aminoborane is provided. Color-coding is used to reveal the identity of the individual progressions of the rovibrational transitions for this particular mode.  相似文献

Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) and batch calorimetry techniques have been used to evaluate the effect of added antioxidant (Quercetin, QN) on the binding between a polymer/surfactant complex, namely the sodium salt of polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) and typical anionic surfactant sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS). An indirect isotherm approximation method and the Satake–Yang model have been used to evaluate the binding parameter (Ku), adsorption cooperativity (u), and the Gibbs free energy of cooperative and non-cooperative binding (ΔG C and ΔG N) from the ITC data. The enthalpy of dissolution of QN into various PSS/water and PSS/SDS/water solutions has been evaluated from batch calorimetry to study the energetics of the polymer/surfactant binding in the presence of QN.  相似文献

Deprotonation constants of phthalic (H2A) and biphthalic (HA) acids and of mono-protonated (BH+) and di-protonated (BH22+) piperazine acids have been determined at 25 °C by measuring the Emf of galvanic cells comprising H+-sensitive glass GE(H+) and Ag,AgCl electrodes in non-aqueous isodielectric mixtures of protic ethylene glycol (EG) and dipolar aprotic N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). Solvent effects on deprotonation of the acids: G disso)=2.303RT[p(s K a)−p(R K a)], have been dissected into transfer Gibbs energies, ΔG to , of the species involved by evaluating ΔG to of the uncharged phthalic acid and base piperazine (B) from the measured solubilities of the acid and base, respectively, and using ΔG to of H+ based on the TATB reference electrolyte assumptions, as evaluated earlier. The contributions of the different species involved in the protolytic equilibria i.e., H+,H2A,HA,BH22+ and BH+ and their respective conjugate bases HA,A2−,BH+ and B have been discussed in terms of their solvation behavior as guided by the ‘acid-base’, dispersion, structural and electronic characteristics of the acid-base species and of the co-solvent molecules and binary mixtures, ignoring the Born-type electrostatic interactions on the ionic species as the solvent system is quasi isodielectric.  相似文献

The geometrical and electronic structures of two isomers (1 and2) of the polyhedral boron nitride molecule, B12N12, have been calculated using the MNDO method. Structure1 having the form of a truncated octahedron is more energetically preferable (ΔH f 0=−128 kcal mol−1) than isomer2, which hasC 6v symmetry. The equilibrium geometries of the N6B6(CH2)6 isomers (3 and4), which simulate fragments of structure2, have been calculated. The stabilization mechanism of the N6 nitrogen cluster (hexaazabenzene) in polyhedral structures is discussed. The unstable species aminoborane, BH2NH2, has been identified as a reaction product of ammonia with diborane by microwave spectroscopy. The rotational constants determined are A = 138212 ± 4 MHz, B = 27487.83 ± 0.10 MHz and C = 22878.44 ± 0.11 MHz for 11BH2NH2 and A = 138199 ± 6 MHz, B = 28420.36 ± 0.11 MHz and C = 23520.78 ± 0.12 MHz for 10BH2NH2. The reactions of lanthanide tris(borohydrides) Ln(BH4)3(thf)3 (Ln = Sm or Nd) with 2 equiv. of lithium N,N′-diisopropyl-N′-bis(trimethylsilyl)guanidinate in toluene produced the [(Me3Si)2NC(NPri)2]Ln(BH4)2Li(thf)2 complexes (Ln = Sm or Nd), which were isolated in 57 and 42% yields, respectively, by recrystallization from hexane. X-ray diffraction experiments and NMR and IR spectroscopic studies demonstrated that the reactions afford monomeric ate complexes, in which the lanthanide and lithium atoms are linked to each other by two bridging borohydride groups. Abstract  

The 18-metallacrown-6 metallamacrocycle [Fe6(pmshz)6(C4H9NO)6] has been synthesized by the self-assembly reaction of iron ions with N-substituted salicylhydrazide ligands. Six Fe(III) ions and six deprotonated N-propanoyl-4-methylsalicylhydrazide (H3 pmshz) ligands construct a planar 18-membered ring based on Fe–N–N–Fe linkage. Because of the coordination, the ligand enforces the stereochemistry of the Fe(III) ions as a propeller shape with alternating …ΔΛΔΛ… configurations. There is a strong antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the paramagnetic iron centers.  相似文献

The microwave spectrum of 2-chloroacrylonitrile has been studied in the 26.5–40 GHz region. A total of 99 a- and b-type rotational transitions have been measured and assigned for CH2 =C35Cl(CN),yielding values for the rotational constants (in MHz): A = 6973.27, B = 3148.16, C = 2165.95. For CH2=C37Cl(CN) a total of 53 transitions have been measured and assigned and the rotational constants obtained are (in MHz): A = 6909.35, B = 3081.17, C = 2127.98. The distortion effects have also been studied and the quartic distortion constants have been evaluated. From the observed hyperfine structure, the chlorine nuclear quadrupole coupling constants have been obtained. The structure of vinyl cyanide and vinyl chloride can be transferred to account remarkably well for the observed rotational constants.  相似文献

A solid complex Eu(C5H8NS2)3(C12H8N2) has been obtained from reaction of hydrous europium chloride with ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC) and 1,10-phenanthroline (o-phen⋅H2O) in absolute ethanol. IR spectrum of the complex indicated that Eu3+ in the complex coordinated with sulfur atoms from the APDC and nitrogen atoms from the o-phen. TG-DTG investigation provided the evidence that the title complex was decomposed into EuS. The enthalpy change of the reaction of formation of the complex in ethanol, Δr H m θ(l), as –22.214±0.081 kJ mol–1, and the molar heat capacity of the complex, c m, as 61.676±0.651 J mol–1 K–1, at 298.15 K were determined by an RD-496 III type microcalorimeter. The enthalpy change of the reaction of formation of the complex in solid, Δr H m θ(s), was calculated as 54.527±0.314 kJ mol–1 through a thermochemistry cycle. Based on the thermodynamics and kinetics on the reaction of formation of the complex in ethanol at different temperatures, fundamental parameters, including the activation enthalpy (ΔH θ), the activation entropy (ΔS θ), the activation free energy (ΔG θ), the apparent reaction rate constant (k), the apparent activation energy (E), the pre-exponential constant (A) and the reaction order (n), were obtained. The constant-volume combustion energy of the complex, Δc U, was determined as –16937.88±9.79 kJ mol–1 by an RBC-II type rotating-bomb calorimeter at 298.15 K. Its standard enthalpy of combustion, Δc H m θ, and standard enthalpy of formation, Δf H m θ, were calculated to be –16953.37±9.79 and –1708.23±10.69 kJ mol–1, respectively.  相似文献

Laser magnetic resonance spectra observed at 163.0 μm have been identified as pure rotational transitions in the ground electronic state (3B1) of the methylene radical. The identification was based on the observation of hyperfine spin triplets and by isotopic substitutions involving deuterium and 13C, as well as other chemical and spectroscopic evidence. A low-pressure flame produced by reacting discharged fluorine with methane was found to be an excellent new spectroscopic source of ground-state CH2 radicals.  相似文献

The effects of polymer charge and surfactant composition were examined on the complex-precipitation (CP) and phase-separation (PS) regions for cationic cellulose (CC), sodium poly(oxyethylene laurylsulfate) and lauroylamidopropyl-N,N-dimethylammonioacetate and Na2SO4. The solubilized state of the complexes was studied by light scattering in the one-phase, 1φ, solution in the postprecipitation region. The cationic charge on the CC and the anionic charge on the surfactant greatly affected the CP and PS regions, to change the domain of the 1φ solution. The relative scattering intensity of the complex, ΔI complex , was high near the CP region and decreased with increasing surfactant and salt concentrations in the 1φ solution. The presence of solubilized complexes of polymers cross-linked with surfactant micelles was suggested near the CP region. The cross-linking of the complexes decreased with increasing surfactant and salt concentrations, producing increased micelle binding and charge shielding. The shrinkage of the complexes was considered to bring about the boundary on which ΔI complex is equal to the relative scattering intensity of polymer alone in the 1φ solutions. Separation of the complexes and the transition of the solution into the PS region were suggested at high concentrations over the boundary. Received: 30 September 2000 Accepted: 7 May 2001  相似文献

Investigations of lysozyme–polyethylene glycol system were made by differential scanning calorimetry, fluorescence and density techniques. The values of unfolding enthalpies, ΔHNU, unfolding temperatures, Tm, excess molar heat capacities, ΔCp, and apparent molar volumes, VΦ , were determined as functions of PEG concentration. The three PEGs of average molecular mass (MW) 6000, 10000, 20000 were used as macromolecular crowding agents. The concentration of polymers was changed in the range 0–30% mass per volume (w/v). The values of ΔHNU remained constant with no dependence on PEG concentration, while PEG addition to buffered lysozyme solutions caused linear decrease of Tm. The values of ΔCp and VΦ of lysozyme dramatically changed in the range of 8–10% of PEG concentration. The fluorescence spectroscopy was used in order to investigate the polymer influence on possible solvent–lysozyme interactions. The electrical properties of polymer–water and polymer–buffer systems, the dielectric constants of solutions were determined with use of impedance spectroscopy.  相似文献

The interactions of non-ionic amphiphilic diblock copolymer poly(oxyethylene/oxybutylene)(E39B18) with anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphate(SDS) and cationic surfactant hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) were studied by using various techniques such as surface tension,conductivity,steady-state fluorescence and dynamic light scattering.Surface tension measurements were used to determine the critical micelle concentration(CMC) and thereby the free energy of micellization(△Gmic),free energy of adsorption(△Gads),surface excess concentration(Γ) and minimum area per molecule(A).Conductivity measurements were used to determine the critical micelle concentration(CMC),critical aggregation concentration(CAC),polymer saturation point(PSP),degree of ionization(α) and counter ion binding(β). Dynamic light scattering experiments were performed to check the changes in physiochemical properties of the block copolymer micelles taken place due to the interactions of diblock copolymers with ionic surfactants.The ratio of the first and third vibronic peaks(I1/I3) indicated the polarity of the pyrene micro environment and was used for the detection of micelle as well as polymer-surfactant interactions.Aggregation number(N),number of binding sites(n) and free energy of binding (△Gb) for pure surfactants as well as for polymer-surfactant mixed micellar systems were determined by the fluorescence quenching method.  相似文献

From the theories of the nuclear hyperfine structure (HFS) and Λ doubling of diatomic molecules, several brief algebraic equations for interpretation of HFS and Λ doubling of transitions of diatomic molecule have been developed. A few important parameters of HFS and Λ doubling of15N16O have been efficiently and accurately obtained from the analysis of the high resolution spectra of15N16O (X2∏) observed in our experiments with these equations. This method can provide an effective approach to obtain important hyperfine parameters of novel radicals from their high resolution laser magnetic resonance spectra. The role of symmetry in crystal structure formation is revealed for the polymorphous modifications of Tm2S3 and related compounds Tm15S{ib22}, Tm5S7, and Tm8S11 using the procedure of selecting and analyzing closepacked planes with cationic, anionic, and combined motifs. Extraction of microamounts of calcium and strontium by a nitrobenzene solution of hydrogen dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B) in the presence of N,N,N′,N′-tetraisobutyl-2,6-dipicolinamide [T(iBu)DPA, L] has been investigated. The equilibrium data have been explained assuming that the species HL+, HL2 +, CaL2 2+, SrL2 2+ and SrL3 2+ are extracted into the organic phase. The standard molar enthalpy of formation Δf H m 0=–760±12 kJ for amorphous silicon nitride a-Si3N4 has been determined from fluorine combustion calorimetry measurements of the massic energy of the reaction: a-Si3N4(s)+6F2(g)=3SiF4(g)+2N2(g). This value combined with Δf H m 0= –828.9±3.4 kJ for a-Si3N4 indicates that determined for the first time molar enthalpy change for the transition from amorphous to α-crystalline form Δtrs H m 0=69±13 kJ is very evident, in spite of its large uncertainty range resulting from impurity corrections.
