A doubly-crowned calix and a double-calixcrown derived from 4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24,25,26,27, 28-dodecamethyl-5,11,17, 23-tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene (1) have been prepared by reaction of appropriate oligoethylene glycol ditosylates with (1) in acetonitrile in the presence of potassium carbonate. A potassium template effect is observed during one of the double cyclizations.  相似文献

We have recently described the electrochemical oxidation of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25, 26-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)-27,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene into the corresponding diquinone 1. The solid state structure of 1 has now been determined by a single crystal X-ray diffraction study. Diquinone 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group with a=10.3507(12), b=25.219(4), c=20.2315(14) Å, β=101.166(8)°, V=5181.1(10) Å3, Z=4, and Dx=1.273 g cm−3. The calixarene skeleton adopts a partial cone conformation in which one quinone ring is anti-oriented with respect to the other three rings of the calixarene core. A variable temperature NMR study shows that 1 is dynamic in solution, each quinone unit undergoing fast oscillation about the axis that passes through the two meta carbon atoms bonded to the adjacent methylene groups. The motion of the quinone rings was confirmed by 2D NMR experiments.  相似文献

Calix[4]arene derivatives fixed in the 1,3-alternate conformation and substituted at one side by four carbamoylmethylphosphine oxide (CMPO) residues were synthesised. Two CMPO groups are directly attached to the wide rim, while the second pair is bound to the narrow rim via a tri- or tetramethylene spacer. Similar compounds, in which two CMPO groups at the wide rim are combined with two picolinamide groups or two ionisable carboxylic groups at the narrow rim, were also prepared. Some of these calixarene derivatives were studied as extractants for lanthanides (La3+, Eu3+, Yb3+) and thorium (Th4+) from acidic solution into methylene chloride. For selected samples, stability constants in methanol were determined by spectrophotometric titrations. Three compounds (1b′, 13, 17) in the 1,3-alternate conformation and one intermediate in the cone conformation (18) were confirmed by a crystal structure.  相似文献

Calix[4]arenes substituted at the narrow or wide rim by eight carbamoylmethyl-phosphine oxide (CMPO) functions in a dendritic manner were synthesised and studied in extraction of Eu3+ and Am3+ from aqueous nitric acid into o-nitrophenylhexyl ether. 1H NMR relaxivity titrations for a wide rim octa-CMPO reveal the clear formation of a solvent-free 1:2 ligand/metal complex, while the wide rim tetra-CMPO formed oligomeric complexes under similar conditions.  相似文献

A new class of neutral receptors based upon acylhydrazide-appended calix[4]arenes was synthesised and evaluated for recognition of anions. Detailed NMR and single-crystal X-ray analyses of one of the synthesised compounds reveal that anion recognition in such derivatives is achieved through cooperative hydrogen bond interactions. The presence of three centred NH–O and two OH–O hydrogen bonds at the lower rim of the synthesised calixarene architecture apparently helps the molecular scaffold to retain cone conformation to enable deployment of intermolecular hydrogen bonds for selective recognition of HSO4 ? ion in preference to F?, Cl?, Br?, I?, ClO4 ?, AcO? and PF6 ? ions.  相似文献

Summary New macrotricyclic compounds consisting of two calix[4]arene substructures connected by aliphatic chains of various length (three to five carbon atoms) between two oppositep-positions and two distal phenolic oxygens have been synthesized. Starting withp-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene, two O-protected phenolic units are attachedvia ether links in 1,3-position by reaction with the corresponding tosylates. After deprotection, the new calix[4]arene is formed by fragment condensation with 2,6-bisbromomethylated 4-alkylphenols. The structure of one example (8c) has been confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis. Both calixarene parts assume the cone conformation, a molecule of acetonitrile being included in both cavities.

Zusammenfassung Neue makrotricyclische Verbindungen, in denen zwei Calix[4]aren-Einheiten durch aliphatische Ketten unterschiedlicher Länge (drei bis fünf C-Atome) zwischen zwei gegenüberliegendenp-Positionen und zwei gegenüberliegenden Phenolsauerstoffen verknüpft sind, wurden hergestellt. Ausgehend vonp-tert-Butyl-calix[4]aren werden zunächst zwei O-geschützte Phenolbausteine in 1,3-Stellung durch Umsetzung mit den entsprechenden Tosylaten etherartig gebunden. Nach Abspaltung der Benzylether-Schutzgruppe wird durch Fragmentkondensation mit 2,6-bisbrommethylierten 4-Alkylphenolen das neue Calix[4]aren gebildet. Für8c wurde die Struktur durch Einkristallröntgenstrukturanalyse bestätigt. Beide Calixarenteile nehmen diecone-Konformation ein, wobei in die beiden Hohlräume je ein Molekül Acetonitril eingeschlossen wird.

Di-ionizable calix[4]arenes with two lower-rim N-(X)sulfonyl carboxamide groups were covalently linked to silica gel via a single attachment on the upper rim. Both the acidity of the ionizable groups (X group variation) and the length of the spacer that joins the ligands to the silica gel matrix were varied. Thiacalix[4]arene ionophores comprised of cyclic or linear O,S,N ligating and/or π-coordinate groups on the lower rim were synthesized and their Ag+ binding was studied by 1H NMR methods in comparison with the respective known and novel calix[4]arene counterparts. Calix[4](O,S,N)crowns were found stronger binders than the π-coordinate molecules and thiacalixarene ionophores were generally superior to calixarenes. This study helped to develop silver ion-selective electrodes working in the subnanomolar region.  相似文献

1,3-Dipolar cycloadditions of upper- and lower-rim diallylcalix[4]arenes (1 and 3) with aryl dinitrile oxides provide a unique and efficient way of capping the calix[4]arenes. When dinitrile oxides reacted with 5-allylcalix[4]arene 7, they underwent a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition on one side and an electrophilic substitution on the other side, which led to a novel type of asymmetric calix[4]arenes (9 and 12).  相似文献

The complexation between water soluble calixarenes and testosterone has been studied. Stability constants of the host guest complexes of 4-sulphonic calix[n]arenes (n = 4, 6 and 8) with testosterone in water and buffers (pH 5.8, 7.3 and 10.0) were determined from phase solubility curves. These solubility curves indicated that the complexes were all of the AL type. The constants were in the range 26–341 M-1, dependent on the size of the calixarene and the pH of the solutions.  相似文献

Complexones of a new class, viz., carboxy-functionalized calix[4]pyrrogallols, were synthesized. The per-O-(carboxymethyl)calix[4]pyrogallols obtained were established to exist in the (rel, cis, trans, trans)-configuration by 2D NMR spectroscopic data. According to the pH-potentiometric data, the interaction of these compounds with alkaline metal ions (Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+) and lanthanide ions (La3+, Gd3+, Lu3+) in a water—DMSO system produces 1 : 1 complexes. The specific features of complexation of per-O-(carboxymethyl)calix[4]pyrogallols, as compared to their acyclic analogs, with alkaline metal and lanthanide ions are due to the cooperative effect of donor groups preorganized on the calixarene matrix.  相似文献

The synthesis of four new tetraamido-type p-tert-butylcalix[4]arenes presenting two proximal binding subunits is reported. Complexation of alkalimetals and zinc picrates with these ligands have been carried out and monitored by 1H-NMR inCDCl3. It is shown that hard cations are included in the tetraamido cavity while thezinc cation is chelated to the pyridine rings of one of the ligands.
