Fully quantum mechanical calculations are carried out for both doubly even and doubly odd nuclei in the rare-earth region using the angular momentum projection method. We investigate the mechanisms of backbending in doubly even nuclei and signature inversion in doubly odd nuclei using a common hamiltonian for both types of nuclei and show that these two seemingly different phenomena are due to the crossing of decoupled bands. Agreement between theory and experiment is quite satisfactory. 相似文献

Permanent rotations of a magnetized spacecraft are considered. The shape of the cone of the permanent axes is revealed, and those generants on it which correspond to the actual motion are noted. By formulating Lyapunov functions certain axes about which the rotation is stable are isolated. In conclusion a series of particular cases is considered. According to the solutions of Maxwell’s equation for an electron (positron) taking into account ionization losses, the radiation of the shower is determined only by the bremsstrahlung and geomagnetic mechanism. Based on the chaotic geomagnetic field model, a non-smooth factor is introduced to explore complex dynamical behaviors of a system with multiple time scales. By regarding the whole excitation term as a parameter, bifurcation sets are derived, which divide the generalized parameter space into several regions corresponding to different kinds of dynamic behaviors. Due to the existence of non-smooth factors, different types of bifurcations are presented in spiking states, such as grazing-sliding bifurcation and across-sliding bifurcation. In addition, the non-smooth fold bifurcation may lead to the appearance of a special quiescent state in the interface as well as a non-smooth homoclinic bifurcation phenomenon. Due to these bifurcation behaviors, a special transition between spiking and quiescent state can also occur. 相似文献

Often in nature the temporal distribution of inhomogeneous stochastic point processes can be modeled as a realization of renewal Poisson processes with a variable rate. Here we investigate one of the classical examples, namely, the temporal distribution of polarity reversals of the geomagnetic field. In spite of the commonly used underlying hypothesis, we show that this process strongly departs from a Poisson statistics, the origin of this failure stemming from the presence of temporal clustering. We find that a Lévy statistics is able to reproduce paleomagnetic data, thus suggesting the presence of long-range correlations in the underlying dynamo process. 相似文献
