以半导体激光器中的复合腔模型和实测的分布反馈光纤激光器的外腔端面反射率为基础,对不同反射率条件下分布反馈光纤激光器的输出功率进行了仿真,同时搭建了二基元分布反馈光纤激光器阵列实验平台,对仿真结果进行了验证.仿真与实验结果表明:外腔反馈光重新注入分布反馈光纤激光器会增加激光器的输出功率,降低了阵列的输出功率平坦性.并且外腔端面反射率越大,这种平坦性降低的效果越明显.在构建分布反馈光纤激光器阵列时,应考虑外腔反馈对阵列输出功率平坦性造成的影响,尽量选择外腔端面反射率较小的激光器进行组阵. 相似文献

The effect of high-current relativistic electron beams (REB's) on the undulator field amplitude in free-electron lasers (FEL's) is investigated. Two mechanisms of excitation of periodic magnetostatic self-fields by REB are considered: 1) a static mechanism that is realized at stationary motion of REB in the undulator field; and 2) a dynamic mechanism that is realized at signal wave amplification. The static mechanism in the absence of an axial magnetic field leads to a decrease of the total undulator field amplitude (a diamagnetic effect). The dynamic mechanism for low-density beams leads to an increase of the total undulator field amplitude (a paramagnetic effect), with a subsequent increase of electron efficiency. For high-density beams, the effect of the phase shift of the total undulator field is most essential, due to which the growth of the signal wave amplitude is limited by nonlinear mismatch of synchronism. 相似文献

We demonstrate a low threshold polymer solid state thin-film distributed feedback (DFB) laser on an InP substrate with the DFB structure. The used gain medium is conjugated polymer poly[2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-l, 4- phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) doped polystyrene (PS) and formed by drop-coating method. The second order Bragg scattering region on the InP substrate gave rise to strong feedback, thus a lasing emission at 638.9nm with a line width of 1.2nm is realized when pumped by a 532nm frequency-doubled Nd:YAG pulsed laser. The devices show a laser threshold as low as 7n J/pulse. 相似文献

Low Threshold Distributed Feedback Quantum Cascade Lasers with Widely Spaced Emission Wavelengths 下载免费PDF全文
We report lasing properties of distributed feedback quantum cascade lasers (DFB QCLs) including a doublephonon-resonance active region, at wavelength of about 8.4 μm. A broad gain spectrum is generated due to the coupling between the lower laser level in the active region and the levels in the injector, and is demonstrated by the lasing spectrum of the corresponding Fabry-Perot QCLs whose width is 0.5 μm at 1.5 times of the threshold current. As a result, the DFB QCLs employing different grating periods exhibit a wavelength span of 0.18μm at room temperature and total wavelength coverage of 0.28μm at various heat sink temperatures. A high side mode suppression ratio of about 30dB and a low threshold current density of 1.78kA/cm^2 are achieved as the lasers operate at room temperature in pulsed mode. 相似文献

A Novel Multisection Distributed Feedback Laser with Varied Ridge Width for Self-Pulsation Generation 下载免费PDF全文
A novel ridge-waveguide multisection (MS) distributed feedback (DFB) laser, which consists of two identical DFB sections but different ridge widths, is proposed to generate beating-type self-pulsations (SPs). The spatiotemporal dynamic response of such a multisection DFB laser is calculated based on a large-signal travelling-wave model. Self-pulsating output at about 150GHz is predicted, and evidences for the beating mechanism of the SPs are provided. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on SP generated by MS-DFB lasers with varied ridge width. Compared to other alternatives, such devices are much easier to implement and also enjoy the advantages of lower cost and higher design freedom. 相似文献
