Synthesis and isomerization reaction of 2-(benzoxazol-2-yl)-1,3-tropolones

An acid-catalyzed reaction of 2-methylbenzoxazole with 3,4,5,6-tetrachloro-1,2-benzoquinone leads to 2-(benzoxazol-2-yl)-5,6,7-trichloro-1,3-tropolone and 2-(benzoxazol-2-yl)-4,5,6,7-tetrachloro-1,3-tropolone. 1,3-Tropolones upon reflux in ethyl alcohol undergo the rearrangement resulted in the seven-membered ring contraction to form ethyl 2-(benzoxazol-2-yl)-5,6-dichloro-3-hydroxybenzoate and ethyl 2-(benzoxazol-2-yl)-4,5,6-trichloro-3-hydroxybenzoate. The molecular structure of the latter was established by X-ray diffraction analysis.     

Regioselective cycloaddition of C-carbamoylnitrones to methyl (E)-2-(2-phenylcyclopropylidene)acetate and methyl (E)-2-methylidene-3-phenylcyclopropane-1-carboxylate

N-Aryl-C-(arylcarbamoyl)nitrones regioselectively add to methyl 2-(2-phenylcyclopropylidene)-acetate and methyl 2-methylidene-3-phenylcyclopropanecarboxylate to give in each case two diastereoisomeric 5-oxa-6-azaspiro[2.4]heptane-4-carboxylates.     

Thermal and photochemical isomerization of exocyclic 1,3-dienes: 1,1-diphenyl-3,4-bis(trimethylsilylmethylene)-1-silacyclopentane s-cis(E,E)

This paper describes the photochemical and the thermal isomerization of s-cis(E,E) 1,1-diphenly-3,4-bis(trimethylsilylmethylene)-1-silacyclopentane (1a). Under thermal conditions a 1,3-sigmatropic of the methylene hydrogen occurs, yielding the s-trans isomer (1b). The photochemical irradiation of (1a) at 300 nm for 1 h in deoxygenated benzene gives the corresponding s-cis(E,Z) isomer (1c) and then the s-cis(Z,Z) isomer (1d) after prolonged irradiation (3 h). There was no evidence for the formation of the corresponding cyclobutene resulting from the ring closure of the exocylic diene.

以二氯甲烷作溶剂,N-Boc保护的二氢吡唑在六甲基磷酰胺存在下与苯基格氏试剂反应,比较大量地制备了对应的四氢吡唑(4);再由4合成消旋的1,3-二苯基-1,3-丙二胺(1,总收率35%);1经L-二苯甲酰酒石酸盐拆分制得光学纯的(1S,3S)-1,3-二苯基-1,3-丙二胺,其结构经1HNMR确证。

Synthesis and oxidation of (E)-1,2-diphenyl-2-(arylimino) ethanol derivatives

The compounds (E)-1,2-diphenyl-2-(phenylimino)ethanol, (E)-1,2-diphenyl-2-(p-tolylimino)ethanol, and (E)-2-((4-chlorophenyl)imino)-1,2-diphenylethanol) were synthesized by reaction of a p-substituted aniline with benzoin then oxidized with chromium trioxide–triethylamine in chloroform to give (E)-1,2-diphenyl-2-(phenylimino)ethanone, (E)-1,2-diphenyl-2-(p-tolylimino)ethanone, and (E)-2-((4-chlorophenyl)imino)-1,2-diphenylethanone in very high yield. The products were characterized by IR and NMR spectral analysis.     

Synthesis and solid-state photochromism of 1,3-diphenyl-4- (2-chlorobenzal)-5-hydroxypyrazole 4-methylthiosemicarbazone

A new photochromic compound containing a pyrazole-ring unit, 1,3-diphenyl-4-(2-chlorobenzal)-5-hydroxypyrazole 4-methylthiosemicarbazone, was synthesized. Its structure, photochromic properties, and photochemical kinetics were characterized. The results show that the title compound exhibits reversible enol-keto photoisomerization, excellent photostability, and high fatigue resistance. An intra- and intermolecular proton-transfer mechanism is proposed.     

3-(2-苯并呋喃甲酰甲基)喹唑啉酮的合成及抗球虫活性研究

为寻求具有抗球虫活性的新化合物,本文设计并合成了4个含卤素的3-(2-苯并呋喃甲酰甲基)喹唑啉酮。所有化合物的结构经1H NMR,HRMS和IR所证实。抗球虫活性实验的结果表明,在18 mg/kg的浓度下,化合物8-氯-3-(2-苯并呋喃甲酰甲基)喹唑啉酮具有抗球虫活性效果。     

Synthesis and reactions of (E)- and (Z)-1,3-dibromo-2-methoxypropene

(Z)-1,3-Dibromo-2-methoxypropene is prepared in 90% yield by dehydrohalogenation of 1,2,3-tribromo-2-methoxypropane with diisopropylamine in dichloromethane. The E-isomer can be obtained as the only product in almost quantitative yield by UV irradiation of the Z-isomer. Nucleophilic displacement reactions of the allylic bromide and palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions of the vinylic bromide in (E)- and (Z)-1,3-dibromo-2-methoxypropene have been studied.     

The reaction of (N-isocyanimino)triphenylphosphorane with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates in the presence of 1,3-diphenyl-1,3-propanedione: a novel three-component reaction for the stereoselective synthesis of dialkyl (Z)-2-(5,7-diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazepin-2-yl)-2-butenedioates

Reactions of dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates with (N-isocyanimino)triphenylphosphorane in the presence of 1,3-diphenyl-1,3-propanedione proceed smoothly at room temperature to afford dialkyl (Z)-2-(5,7-diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazepin-2-yl)-2-butenedioates in high yields. The stereochemistry of the final products were confirmed by single crystal X-ray structure determination. The reaction is completely stereoselective.     

Synthesis of conjugated (E,E)-1,3-diene-containing troponoid-based compounds

Through exploration of the electrophilic substitution reaction of 3-((2E,4E)-5-phenylpenta-2,4-dienoyl)-2-hydroxy-2,4,6-cycloheptatrien-1-one (3-((2E,4E)-5-phenylpenta-2,4-dienoyl)tropolone) with halogen and diazonium salts as well as the nucleophilic cyclisation reaction with hydroxylamine hydrochloride and substituted phenylhydrazine hydrochlorides by employing our reliable methods, we have synthesised a series of new (E,E)-1,3-diene-bearing troponoid-based compounds. All the newly synthesised molecules represent an issue of great interest, since the presence of conjugated 1,3-diene moiety can be developed further via other reactions.     

Synthesis and steric structure of 1,3(1,5)-dimethyl-2-phenyl-and -2,4-diphenyl-4-piperidols

1,3(1,5)-dimethyl-2-phenyl- and -2,4-diphenyl-4 piperidols were respectively obtained with the reaction of 1,3-and 1,5-dimethyl-2 phenyl-4-piperidoraes with sodium borohydride and phenyllithium. Rate coefficients for the reaction of OH with (E)-2-pentenal, (E)-2-hexenal, and (E)-2-heptenal

Rate coefficients for the gas-phase reaction of the OH radical with (E)-2-pentenal (CH(3)CH(2)CH[double bond]CHCHO), (E)-2-hexenal (CH(3)(CH(2))(2)CH[double bond]CHCHO), and (E)-2-heptenal (CH(3)(CH(2))(3)CH[double bond]CHCHO), a series of unsaturated aldehydes, over the temperature range 244-374 K at pressures between 23 and 150 Torr (He, N(2)) are reported. Rate coefficients were measured under pseudo-first-order conditions in OH with OH radicals produced via pulsed laser photolysis of HNO(3) or H(2)O(2) at 248 nm and detected by pulsed laser-induced fluorescence. The rate coefficients were independent of pressure and the room temperature rate coefficients and Arrhenius expressions obtained are (cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) units): k(1)(297 K)=(4.3 +/- 0.6)x 10(-11), k(1)(T)=(7.9 +/- 1.2)x 10(-12) exp[(510 +/- 20)/T]; k(2)(297 K)=(4.4 +/- 0.5)x 10(-11), k(2)(T)=(7.5 +/- 1.1)x 10(-12) exp[(520 +/- 30)/T]; and k(3)(297 K)=(4.4 +/- 0.7)x 10(-11), k(3)(T)=(9.7 +/- 1.5)x 10(-12) exp[(450 +/- 20)/T] for (E)-2-pentenal, (E)-2-hexenal and (E)-2-heptenal, respectively. The quoted uncertainties are 2sigma(95% confidence level) and include estimated systematic errors. Rate coefficients are compared with previously published room temperature values and the discrepancies are discussed. The atmospheric degradation of unsaturated aldehydes is also discussed.     

Size-tunable emission from 1,3-diphenyl-5-(2-anthryl)-2-pyrazoline nanoparticles

Organic nanoparticles of 1,3-diphenyl-5-(2-anthryl)-2- pyrazoline (DAP) ranging in average diameters from 40 to 160 nm were prepared through the reprecipitation method. The average diameters of the particles were controlled by variation of the aging time. We found that DAP nanoparticles exhibit the size-dependent optical properties. The absorption transitions of the nanoparticles at the lower-energy side experience a bathochromic shift with an increase in the particle size as a result of the increased intermolecular interactions, while the higher-energy bands of anthracene split possibly due to the electronic coupling between the pyrazoline ring of one molecule and the anthracene moiety of the neighboring molecule. Most interestingly, the nanoparticle emission in the blue light region from pyrazoline chromophore shifts to shorter wavelengths with an increase in the particle size, accompanied with a relatively gradual dominance of the emission at about 540 nm from an exciplex between the pyrazoline ring of one molecule and the anthracene moiety of the neighboring molecule. The hypsochromic shift in the emission of DAP nanoparticles was identified as originating from the pronounced decrease in the Stokes shift due to the restraint of vibronic relaxation and the configuration reorganization induced by the increased intermolecular interaction.     

Synthesis of novel C2-symmetric ligands based on (R,R)- and (S,S)-diphenyl-1,3-propanediol

A range of novel C₂-symmetric dioxygen and dinitrogen ligands can readily be obtained through the interconversion of the parent 1,3-diphenyl-1,3-propanediol enantiomers which are, in turn, accessed in good yields via a Sharpless asymmetric epoxidative resolution.
