ABSTRACT

In this article, we develop the obstruction theory for lifting complexes, up to quasi-isomorphism, to derived categories of flat nilpotent deformations of abelian categories. As a particular case we also obtain the corresponding obstruction theory for lifting of objects in terms of Yoneda Ext-groups. In an appendix we prove the existence of miniversal derived deformations of complexes.  相似文献

We prove that the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves with proper support is equivalent to the category of locally-finite, cohomological functors on the perfect derived category of a quasi-projective scheme over a field. We introduce the notions of pseudo-adjoints and Rouquier functors and study them. As an application of these ideas and results, we extend the reconstruction result of Bondal and Orlov to Gorenstein projective varieties.  相似文献

We study the existence of almost split sequences in tri-exact categories, that is, extension-closed subcategories of triangulated categories. Our results unify and extend a number of existence theorems for almost split sequences in abelian categories and exact categories (that is, extension-closed subcategories of abelian categories), and those for almost split triangles in triangulated categories by numerous researchers. As applications, we obtain some new results on the existence of almost split triangles in the derived categories of all modules over an algebra with a unity or a locally finite dimensional algebra given by a quiver with relations.  相似文献

This is the third paper in a series. In Part I we developed a deformation theory of objects in homotopy and derived categories of DG categories. Here we show how this theory can be used to study deformations of objects in homotopy and derived categories of abelian categories. Then we consider examples from (noncommutative) algebraic geometry. In particular, we study noncommutative Grassmanians that are true noncommutative moduli spaces of structure sheaves of projective subspaces in projective spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct derived equivalences between two subrings of relevant Φ-Yoneda rings from an arbitrary short exact sequence in an abelian category. As a consequence, any short exact sequence in an abelian category gives rise to a derived equivalence between two subrings of endomorphism rings.  相似文献

A general framework for cluster tilting is set up by showing that any quotient of a triangulated category modulo a tilting subcategory (i.e., a maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory) carries an induced abelian structure. These abelian quotients turn out to be module categories of Gorenstein algebras of dimension at most one.   相似文献

In this paper we prove the following result: Let be a complex torus and a normally generated line bundle on ; then, for every , the line bundle satisfies Property of Green-Lazarsfeld.

In this short note, we observe that the criterion proven in [12] for semiorthogonal indecomposability of the derived category of smooth DM stacks based on the canonical bundle can be extended to the case of projective varieties with Cohen-Macaulay singularities. As a consequence, all projective curves of positive arithmetic genus have weakly indecomposable bounded derived categories and indecomposable categories of perfect complexes.  相似文献

We provide a counterexample to a theorem of Ford, namely a pushout square of categories with all involved functors injective, such that there is no associated exact “Mayer–Vietoris” sequence of derived limits. Further, we construct a Mayer–Vietoris sequence for derived (co)limits under some additional hypotheses, extending the well-known case of a pushout square of group monomorphisms.  相似文献

We study preprojective algebras of graphs and their relationship to module categories over representations of quantum SL(2). As an application, ADE quiver varieties of Nakajima are shown to be subvarieties of the variety of representations of a certain associative algebra introduced by Lusztig.  相似文献

This is the first paper in a series. We develop a general deformation theory of objects in homotopy and derived categories of DG categories. Namely, for a DG module E over a DG category we define four deformation functors Defh(E), coDefh(E), Def(E), coDef(E). The first two functors describe the deformations (and co-deformations) of E in the homotopy category, and the last two - in the derived category. We study their properties and relations. These functors are defined on the category of artinian (not necessarily commutative) DG algebras.  相似文献

The variety of restriction semigroups may be most simply described as that generated from inverse semigroups (S, ·, ?1) by forgetting the inverse operation and retaining the two operations x+ = xx?1 and x* = x?1x. The subvariety B of strict restriction semigroups is that generated by the Brandt semigroups. At the top of its lattice of subvarieties are the two intervals [B2, B2M = B] and [B0, B0M]. Here, B2 and B0 are, respectively, generated by the five-element Brandt semigroup and that obtained by removing one of its nonidempotents. The other two varieties are their joins with the variety of all monoids. It is shown here that the interval [B2, B] is isomorphic to the lattice of varieties of categories, as introduced by Tilson in a seminal paper on this topic. Important concepts, such as the local and global varieties associated with monoids, are readily identified under this isomorphism. Two of Tilson's major theorems have natural interpretations and application to the interval [B2, B] and, with modification, to the interval [B0, B0M] that lies below it. Further exploration may lead to applications in the reverse direction.  相似文献

The first part of this paper further refines the methodology for 2-descents on elliptic curves with rational 2-division points which was introduced in [J.-L. Colliot-Thélène, A.N. Skorobogatov, Peter Swinnerton-Dyer, Hasse principle for pencils of curves of genus one whose Jacobians have rational 2-division points, Invent. Math. 134 (1998) 579-650]. To describe the rest, let E(1) and E(2) be elliptic curves, D(1) and D(2) their respective 2-coverings, and X be the Kummer surface attached to D(1)×D(2). In the appendix we study the Brauer-Manin obstruction to the existence of rational points on X. In the second part of the paper, in which we further assume that the two elliptic curves have all their 2-division points rational, we obtain sufficient conditions for X to contain rational points; and we consider how these conditions are related to Brauer-Manin obstructions. This second part depends on the hypothesis that the relevent Tate-Shafarevich group is finite, but it does not require Schinzel's Hypothesis.  相似文献

We give a set-theoretical characterization of the Kummer configurations introduced in Ann. Pol. Math. 60 (1994), 145–158. The main result is Theorem 5.  相似文献

This is the second paper in a series. In part I we developed deformation theory of objects in homotopy and derived categories of DG categories. Here we extend these (derived) deformation functors to an appropriate bicategory of artinian DG algebras and prove that these extended functors are pro-representable in a strong sense.  相似文献
