In this study two different series of mixed-charge self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) prepared with -N(+)(CH(3))(3)-terminated alkanethiol and strong dissociated monovalent -SO(3)H acid-terminated or weaker dissociated divalent -PO(3)H(2) acid-terminated alkanethiol in pure ethanol were characterized. The influence of the acidity of the anionic functionality in the mixed-charge SAMs on the surface characteristics and platelet compatibility was investigated. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicated that a nearly equivalent amount of countercharged terminal groups was noted on the surface of -SO(3)H/-N(+)(CH(3))(3) mixed SAMs, while "-N(+)(CH(3))(3) thiol poor" phenomena were found on -PO(3)H(2)/-N(+)(CH(3))(3) mixed SAMs instead. This was caused by the distinct differences in solvation capability between the acidic anionic functional groups and solvent molecules and/or the interactions among the terminal ends of the thiols. This acidity difference also affected other interfacial properties and the platelet compatibility. The mixed SAMs formed from the mixture of -SO(3)H- and -N(+)(CH(3))(3)-terminated thiols showed higher surface hydrophilicity and exhibited the least amount of platelets adhered, but these two mixed SAMs were all fairly negatively surface charged. The structure of the hydration layer near the surfaces was likely affected by the acidity of the anionic functionality, and this would cause such a distinct behavior in platelet compatibility. It was concluded that the hydrophilic surfaces with nearly equal amounts of surface positively and negatively charged components could exhibit better platelet compatibility. This work demonstrated that the nature of the acidic terminal ends of alkanethiol is also a key factor for preparing mixed-charge SAMs with good platelet compatibility.  相似文献

This report describes a technique that used mixed self-assembled monolayer (SAM) as a model surface to evaluate the effect of steric hindrance on the SAM packing quality and its platelet compatibility. Two series of binary mixed SAMs were formed by mixing the bulky terminated alkanethiol (HS(CH2)10PO3H2) with a smaller terminated one (HS(CH2)9CH3 and HS(CH2)11OH) respectively. Surface characterization results showed the hydrophilicity on these two series of mixed SAMs changed with the solution mole fraction of PO3H2 terminated thiol, chi(PO3H2,soln), and reached to a nearly constant value as chi(PO3H2,soln) was 0.6 for PO3H2+CH3 SAM and 0.4 for PO3H2+OH SAM. This finding should be due to the gradual saturation of surface PO3H2 functionality on these mixed SAMs. The XPS analysis indicated the addition of the CH3 and OH terminated thiol could reduce the steric hindrance effect of PO3H2 functionality on monolayer formation and, henceforth, improve the SAM packing quality. In vitro platelet adhesion assay revealed the platelet compatibility on the PO3H2+OH SAMs was better than that on the PO3H2+CH3 and the pure PO3H2 ones. Moreover, the PO3H2+OH SAM with a low chi(PO3H2,soln) value exhibited the least platelet activating property of these two mixed SAM systems. These findings suggested that material's surface wettability and surface charge density should act collectively in affecting its platelet compatibility.  相似文献

We present an improved method to prepare carboxylic acid (COOH) and amine (NH2) terminated self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of alkanethiolates. In this method, a small amount of CF3COOH (for COOH-SAM) or N(CH2CH3)3 (for NH2-SAM) is added into the ethanolic solution of alkanethiols during SAM formation. The freshly formed COOH- and NH2-SAMs are then rinsed with an ethanolic solution of NH4OH or CH3COOH, respectively. Both SAMs prepared with the improved method show better quality in terms of surface chemical composition, roughness, and wettability as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and contact angle, respectively. The formation of better SAMs can be attributed to the disruption of interplane hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Well-defined voltammetric responses of redox proteins with acidic-to-neutral pI values have been obtained on pure alkanethiol as well as on mixed self-assembled-monolayer (SAM) omega-derivatized alkanethiol/gold bead electrodes. Both azurin (P. aeruginosa) (pI = 5.6) and subunit II (Cu(A) domain) of ba(3)-type cytochrome c oxidase (T. thermophilus) (pI = 6.0) exhibit optimal voltammetric responses on 1:1 mixtures of [H(3)C(CH(2))(n)()SH + HO(CH(2))(n)()SH] SAMs. The electron transfer (ET) rate vs distance behavior of azurin and Cu(A) is independent of the omega-derivatized alkanethiol SAM headgroups. Strikingly, only wild-type azurin and mutants containing Trp48 give voltammetric responses: based on modeling, we suggest that electronic coupling with the SAM headgroup (H(3)C- and/or HO-) occurs at the Asn47 side chain carbonyl oxygen and that an Asn47-Cys112 hydrogen bond promotes intramolecular ET to the copper. Inspection of models also indicates that the Cu(A) domain of ba(3)-type cytochrome c oxidase is coupled to the SAM headgroup (H(3)C- and/or HO-) near the main chain carbonyl oxygen of Cys153 and that Phe88 (analogous to Trp143 in subunit II of cytochrome c oxidase from R. sphaeroides) is not involved in the dominant tunneling pathway. Our work suggests that hydrogen bonds from hydroxyl or other proton-donor groups to carbonyl oxygens potentially can facilitate intermolecular ET between physiological redox partners.  相似文献

Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of HS(CH(2))(n)COOH, n = 5, 10, 15 deposited from ethanol solution onto gold are prepared by five approaches, and their packing densities are evaluated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements. The five approaches are: (1) direct deposition; (2) acetic-acid-assisted deposition; (3) butyl-amine-assisted deposition; (4) displacement of a preformed HS(CH(2))(n)CH(3) (n = 5, 10, 15) SAMs; and (5) co-deposition with HS(CH(2))(n)CH(3) (n = 5, 10, 15). Packing density metrics are calculated from measurements of SAM and substrate photoemission intensities and their attenuations by two methods. In one case the attenuated photoemissions are expressed as a ratio relative to comparable measurements on an experimental HS(CH(2))(n)CH(3) model system. In the other case a new method is introduced where a calculated attenuation based on theoretical random coil and extended chain models is used as the reference to determine a packing density fraction. Packing densities are also correlated with the S2p(Au-bonded):Au4f peak area ratios and with shifts in the C1s binding energies. SAMs prepared by the direct deposition are a partial multilayer where a second molecular layer is physisorbed onto the SAM and not removable by solvent washing. The addition of acetic acid to the deposition solution disrupts dimer associations of HS(CH(2))(n)COOH in solution and at the surface of the monolayer and yields the most ordered monolayer with the highest density of -COOH groups. The addition of butyl amine results in a labile ammonium carbonate ion pair formation but results in a lower packing density in the SAM. The displacement of the preformed HS(CH(2))(n)CH(3) SAM and the co-deposition of HS(CH(2))(n)CH(3) with HS(CH(2))(n)COOH result in SAMs with little incorporation of the -COOH component.  相似文献

Evidence for the competition between long-range electron transfer across self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) and incorporation of the redox probe into the film is reported for the electroreduction of Ru(NH(3)) at hydroxyl- and carboxylic-acid-terminated SAMs on a mercury electrode, by using electrochemical techniques that operate at distinct time scales. Two limiting voltammetric behaviors are observed, consistent with a diffusion control of the redox process at mercaptophenol-coated electrodes and a kinetically controlled electron transfer reaction in the presence of neutral HS-(CH(2))(10)-COOH and HS-(CH(2))(n)()-CH(2)OH (n = 3, 5, and 10) SAMs. The monolayer thickness dependence of the standard heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant shows that the electron transfer plane for the reduction of Ru(NH(3)) at hydroxyl-terminated SAMs is located outside the film | solution interface at short times. However, long time scale experiments provide evidence for the occurrence of potential-induced gating of the adsorbed structure in some of the monolayers studied, which takes the form of a chronoamperometric spike. Redox probe permeation is shown to be a kinetically slow process, whose activation strongly depends on redox probe concentration, applied potential, and chemical composition of the intervening medium. The obtained results reveal that self-assembled monolayers made of mercaptobutanol and mercaptophenol preserve their electronic barrier properties up to the reductive desorption potential of a fully grown SAM, whereas those of mercaptohexanol, mercaptoundecanol, and mercaptoundecanoic acid undergo an order/disorder transition below a critical potential, which facilitates the approach of the redox probe toward the electrode surface.  相似文献

Compositionally mixed, self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) derived from 16,16,16-trifluorohexadecanethiol and a normal alkanethiol, either hexadecanethiol or pentadecanethiol, were formed on Au(111) substrates. The relative composition of the films was determined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and was found to approximately equal the equimolar composition of the isooctane solution from which they were formed. The frictional properties of the mixed films were measured on the nanometer scale using atomic force microscopy and were observed to decrease when the chain length of the CH(3)-terminated component was shortened by one methylene unit (i.e., when hexadecanethiol was replaced by pentadecanethiol). For comparison, the frictional properties of a mixed-chain-length CH(3)-terminated SAM derived from hexadecanethiol and pentadecanethiol in a 1:1 ratio was also examined. In contrast to the mixed CF(3)/CH(3) system, the latter mixed-chain-length system exhibited relatively higher friction when compared to single-component SAMs derived solely from either hexadecanethiol or pentadecanethiol. For both types of mixed films, the change in frictional properties that occurs as a result of modifying the position of neighboring terminal groups with respect to the surface plane is discussed in terms of the influence of local packing environments on interfacial energy dissipation (friction).  相似文献

Oxygen atom transfer from (NH(3))(4)(H(2)O)RhOOH(2+) to organic and inorganic nucleophiles takes place according to the rate law -d[(NH(3))(4)(H(2)O)RhOOH(2+)]/dt = k[H(+)] [(NH(3))(4)(H(2)O)RhOOH(2+)][nucleophile] for all the cases examined. The third-order rate constants were determined in aqueous solutions at 25 degrees C for (CH(2))(5)S (k = 430 M(-)(2) s(-)(1), micro = 0.10 M), (CH(2))(4)S(2) (182, micro = 0.10 M), CH(3)CH(2)SH (8.0, micro = 0.20 M), (en)(2)Co(SCH(2)CH(2)NH(2))(2+) (711, micro = 0.20 M), and, in acetonitrile-water, CH(3)SPh (130, 10% AN, micro = 0.20 M), PPh(3) (3.74 x 10(3), 50% AN), and (2-C(3)H(7))(2)S (45, 50% AN, micro = 0.20 M). Oxidation of PPh(3) by (NH(3))(4)(H(2)O)Rh(18)O(18)OH(2+) produced (18)OPPh(3). The reaction with a series of p-substituted triphenylphosphines yielded a linear Hammett relationship with rho = -0.53. Nitrous acid (k = 891 M(-)(2) s(-)(1)) is less reactive than the more nucleophilic nitrite ion (k = 1.54 x 10(4) M(-)(2) s(-)(1)).  相似文献

The hydrophilicity of polar and apolar domains of various amphiphiles was systematically estimated for their homologues and analogues by measuring the molar adiabatic compressibility of an aqueous solution at infinite dilution. The homologues of protic alkyl H(CH(2))(n)-, perfluoroalkyl F(CF(2))(n)-, and alkylphenyl H(CH(2))(n)(C(6)H(5))- groups (n=0-10) were chosen to represent apolar hydrophobic domains. The polar hydrophilic domains tested were -SO(4)Na, -SO(3)Na, -COONH(4), -N(CH(3))(3)Br, N(C(m)H(2m+1))(4)Br (m=1-5), and -NH(CH(2))(n)SO(3) (n=3, 4) groups. Also tested were the tetraphenyl ionic compounds (C(6)H(5))(4)MX (M=B/X=Na, M=P/X=Cl, M=As/X=Cl) to study the effect of the ionic sign of the core atom across the tetraphenyl apolar shell, the polyethylene glycols H(OCH(2)CH(2))(m)OH (m=1-4) to study the role of apolar -CH(2)- units in the hydrophilic oxyethylene group, and the zwitterionic dimethylaminoalkylsulfonate (CH(3))(2)NH(CH(2))(n)SO(3) homologues to study the effect of intramolecular salt formation on the hydrophilicity of the zwitterion. The adiabatic compressibility of the solution was calculated from measurement of the sound velocity and density of solutions. The introduction of laboratory automation and the numerical control of the system improved the accuracies and efficiencies of the measurements a great deal. The range of the temperature scan was 0-40 degrees C with an effective accuracy of +/-0.001 degrees C and the concentration was automatically scanned down to far below the cmc of the surfactant. The hydrophilicity of various polar and apolar substances was estimated as the decrease of molar adiabatic compressibility of the aqueous solution with increased concentration of their homologues and analogues. The hydrophobic hydration of nonpolar substances was found to be very small at room temperature and was barely detected above 40 degrees C; however, it became large as the temperature was lowered and attained a maximum at 0 degrees C. The cationic charge of quaternary ammonium N(+)(C(n)H(2n+1))(4) was found to enhance the hydrophobic hydration of methylene groups located at a distance of 4 to 6 ? from the core nitrogen atom, while the terminal negative charge of the anionic surfactant R-SO(4)(-), R-SO(3)(-), or R-COO(-) was found to decrease the hydrophobic hydration of -CH(2)- units within the same range. The hydrophilicity of quaternary ammonium and the tetraphenyl ions should be synergistically given by both hydrophobic and ionic hydrations. The hydrophilicity of the perfluoromethylene unit -CF(2)- was found to have a value comparable to that of the protic methylene unit -CH(2)-. The hydrophobic hydration seems to offer a good measure of the hydrophilicity of apolar substances; however, it does not necessarily represent the "hydrophobicity" of the apolar segment when the "surface activity" of the amphiphile is concerned. Three 5,5'-dicarbamate-2,2'-bipyridine ligands (L = L(1)-L(3)) bearing ethyl, isopropyl or tert-butyl terminals, respectively, on the carbamate substituents were synthesized. Reaction of the ligands L with the transition metal ions M = Fe(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+) or Ru(2+) gave the complexes ML(n)X(2)·xG (1-12, n = 1-3; X = Cl, NO(3), ClO(4), BF(4), PF(6), ?SO(4); G = Et(2)O, DMSO, CH(3)OH, H(2)O), of which [Fe(L(2))(3)???SO(4)]·8.5H(2)O (2), [Fe(L(1))(3)???(BF(4))(2)]·2CH(3)OH (7), [Fe(L(2))(3)???(Et(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (8), [ZnCl(2)(L(1))][ZnCl(2)(L(1))(DMSO)]·2DMSO (9), [Zn(L(1))(3)???(NO(3))(2)]·2H(2)O (10), [Zn(L(2))(3)???(ClO(4))(Et(2)O)]ClO(4)·Et(2)O·2CH(3)OH·1.5H(2)O (11), and [Cu(L(1))(2)(DMSO)](ClO(4))(2)·2DMSO (12) were elucidated by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. In the complexes ML(n)X(2)·xG the metal ion is coordinated by n = 1, 2 or 3 chelating bipyridine moieties (with other anionic or solvent ligands for n = 1 and 2) depending on the transition metal and reaction conditions. Interestingly, the carbamate functionalities are involved in hydrogen bonding with various guests (anions or solvents), especially in the tris(chelate) complexes which feature the well-organized C(3)-clefts for effective guest inclusion. Moreover, the anion binding behavior of the pre-organized tris(chelate) complexes was investigated in solution by fluorescence titration using the emissive [RuL(3)](2+) moiety as a probe. The results show that fluorescent recognition of anion in solution can be achieved by the Ru(II) complexes which exhibit good selectivities for SO(4)(2-).  相似文献

The adsorption of long-chain omega-alkoxy-n-alkanethiols [CH(3)(CH(2))(p-1)O(CH(2))(m)SH; m = 11, 19, 22; p = 18, 22] onto copper produces self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) that can provide protection against corrosion of the underlying metal substrate. The resulting films are 40-60 A in thickness and are isostructural with SAMs formed on copper from unsubstituted n-alkanethiols. As evidenced by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), the barrier properties of these ether-containing SAMs depend on the chain length of the adsorbate and the position of the ethereal unit along the hydrocarbon chain. For SAMs where the ether substitution is farther from the copper surface, the initial coating resistances are similar to those projected for unsubstituted n-alkanethiolate SAMs of similar thickness. For SAMs where the ether substitution is nearer to the copper surface (m = 11), the resistances are significantly less than those for unsubstituted n-alkanethiolate SAMs of similar thickness, reflecting the effect of the molecular structure on the barrier properties of the film. Upon exposure to 1 atm of O(2) at 100% RH, the SAMs become less densely packed as observed by infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and their barrier properties deteriorate as observed by EIS. The rate that the SAMs lose their barrier properties upon exposure to oxidizing conditions is correlated to the strength of intermolecular interactions within the bulk state of the adsorbate.  相似文献

Excitation and emission phosphorescence spectra, lifetimes, and relative quantum yields of benzene and ten monosubstituted benzenes were determined at 77 K in methanol/water 10/90 v/v and in sodium iodide/methanol/water solutions. Substituents CHO, COCH(3), COC(2)H(5), OH, OCH(3), H(3), C(2)H(5), CH(2)OH and N(CH(3))(2) were investigated. Aqueous sodium iodide solutions were found to be a suitable heavy-atom solvent for phosophorimetry. Heavy-atom enhancement factors ranged from 1.2 to 8.3 according to the molecular structure and a marked decrease of the lifetime was observed for nine compounds in aqueous sodium iodide solution. A linear log-log correlation was obtained between the relative corrected phosphorescence signal and the heavy-atom enhancement factor of the monosubstituted benzenes. A similar correlation was found between the quantum yields and the heavy-atom enhancement factors. The analytical usefulness of these correlations is evident for the prediction of the magnitude of the heavy-atom effect.  相似文献

Reaction of the platinum(III) dimeric complex [Pt(2)(NH(3))(4)((CH(3))(3)CCONH)(2)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2) (1), prepared in situ by the oxidation of the platinum blue complex [Pt(4)(NH(3))(8)((CH(3))(3)CCONH)(4)](NO(3))(5) (2) with Na(2)S(2)O(8), with terminal alkynes CH[triple bond]CR (R = (CH(2))(n)CH(3) (n = 2-5), (CH(2))(n)CH(2)OH (n = 0-2), CH(2)OCH(3), and Ph), in water gave a series of ketonyl-Pt(III) dinuclear complexes [Pt(2)(NH(3))(4)((CH(3))(3)CCONH)(2)(CH(2)COR)](NO(3))(3) (3, R = (CH(2))(2)CH(3); 4, R = (CH(2))(3)CH(3); 5, R = (CH(2))(4)CH(3); 6, R = (CH(2))(5)CH(3); 7, R = CH(2)OH; 8, R = CH(2)CH(2)OH; 9, R = (CH(2))(2)CH(2)OH; 10, R = CH(2)OCH(3); 11, R = Ph). Internal alkyne 2-butyne reacted with 1 to form the complex [Pt(2)(NH(3))(4)((CH(3))(3)CCONH)(2)(CH(CH(3))COCH(3))](NO(3))(3) (12). These reactions show that Pt(III) reacts with alkynes to give various ketonyl complexes. Coordination of the triple bond to the Pt(III) atom at the axial position, followed by nucleophilic attack of water and hydrogen shift from the enol to keto form, would be the mechanism. The structures of complexes 3.H(2)O, 7.0.5C(3)H(4)O, 9, 10, and 12 have been confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. A competitive reaction between equimolar 1-pentyne and 1-pentene toward 1 produced complex 3 and [Pt(2)(NH(3))(4)((CH(3))(3)CCONH)(2)(CH(2)CH(OH)CH(2)CH(2)CH(3))](NO(3))(3) (14) at a molar ratio of 9:1, suggesting that alkyne is more reactive than alkene. The ketonyl-Pt(III) dinuclear complexes are susceptible to nucleophiles, such as amines, and the reactions with secondary and tertiary amines give the corresponding alpha-amino-substituted ketones and the reduced Pt(II) complex quantitatively. In the reactions with primary amines, the once formed alpha-amino-substituted ketones were further converted to the iminoketones and diimines. The nucleophilic attack at the ketonyl group of the Pt(III) complexes provides a convenient means for the preparation of alpha-aminoketones, alpha-iminoketones, and diimines from the corresponding alkynes and amines.  相似文献

Tribological properties of alkylsilane self-assembled monolayers   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this study, we perform molecular dynamics simulations of adhesive contact and friction between alkylsilane Si(OH)(3)(CX(2))(10)CX(3) and alkoxylsilane Si(OH)(2)(CX(2))(10)CX(3) (where X = H or F) self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on an amorphous silica substrate. The alkylsilane SAMs are primarily hydrogen-bonded or physisorbed to the surface. The alkoxylsilane SAMs are covalently bonded or chemisorbed to the surface. Previously, we studied the chemisorbed systems. In this work, we study the physisorbed systems and compare the tribological properties with the chemisorbed systems. Furthermore, we examine how water at the interface of the SAMs and substrate affects the tribological properties of the physisorbed systems. When less than a third of a monolayer is present, very little difference in the microscopic friction coefficient mu or shear stresses is observed. For increasing amounts of water, the values of mu and the shear stresses decrease; this effect is somewhat more pronounced for fluorocarbon alkylsilane SAMs than for the hydrocarbon SAMs. The observed decrease in friction is a consequence of a slip plane that occurs in the water as the amount of water is increased. We studied the frictional behavior using relative shear velocities ranging from v = 2 cm/s to 2 m/s. Similar to previously reported results for alkoxylsilane SAMs, the values of the measured stress and mu for the alkylsilane SAM systems decrease monotonically with v.  相似文献

Alkyl- and perfluoro-phosphonic acid derived SAMs were successfully formed on Mg alloy by liquid phase method for the first time. The chemical and anticorrosive properties of the prepared SAMs on magnesium alloys were characterized using contact angle measurements, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and electrochemical measurements. Water contact angle measurements revealed that the maximum advancing/receding water contact angles of n-octyl (OP: CH(3)(CH(2))(7)PO(OH)(2)), n-dodecyl (DP: CH(3)(CH(2))(11)PO(OH)(2)), n-octadecyl (ODP: CH(3)(CH(2))(17)PO(OH)(2)) phosphonic acid, and 2-(perfluorohexyl)ethyl (PFEP: CF(3)(CF(2))(5)CH(2)CH(2)PO(OH)(2)) phosphonic acid were 105.1/64.7°, 108.3/69.6°, 111.9/75.2°, and 115.2/67.4° respectively. In the case of alkylphosphonic acid SAMs (OP, DP, and ODP), the advancing and receding water contact angles increased with an increase in the preparation time. The angle-resolved XPS (AR-XPS) data revealed that the film thicknesses of the OP, DP, ODP, PFEP on Mg alloy were estimated to be 0.8, 1.2, 1.7, and 1.1 nm, respectively. The XPS O 1s data support that the phosphonic acid derived SAM is covalently bound to the oxide or hydroxide surface of the Mg alloy in a monodenate or bidenate manner. Chemical stability of the alkyl- and perfluoro-phosphonic acid modified Mg alloy surfaces was investigated using aqueous solutions at pH=4.0, 7.0, and 10.0. The contact angles of OP, DP, and PFEP modified Mg surface decreased rapidly within the first 5 min after immersion in all the aqueous solutions and were less than 20°. On the other hand, the contact angles of the ODP modified Mg alloy after immersion in aqueous solutions at pH 4, 7 and 10 for 5 min were 45.1°, 89.3,° and 85.5°, respectively. The ODP modified Mg alloy had highest chemical stability in four types of the phosphonic acid derived SAMs used in this study, indicating that the molecular density of ODP on Mg alloy would be higher than those of OP, DP, PFEP on Mg alloy. The corrosion resistance of ODP modified Mg alloy was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization curve measurements. The ODP modified Mg alloy exhibits protective properties in a solution containing Cl(-) ions compared to unmodified Mg alloy.  相似文献

The reaction of cis-[Ru(NO)(CH(3)CN)(bpy)(2)](3+) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) in H(2)O at room temperature proceeded to afford two new nitrosylruthenium complexes. These complexes have been identified as nitrosylruthenium complexes containing the N-bound methylcarboxyimidato ligand, cis-[Ru(NO)(NH=C(O)CH(3))(bpy)(2)](2+), and methylcarboxyimido acid ligand, cis-[Ru(NO)(NH=C(OH)CH(3))(bpy)(2)](3+), formed by an electrophilic reaction at the nitrile carbon of the acetonitrile coordinated to the ruthenium ion. The X-ray structure analysis on a single crystal obtained from CH(3)CN-H(2)O solution of cis-[Ru(NO)(NH=C(O)CH(3))(bpy)(2)](PF(6))(3) has been performed: C(22)H(20.5)N(6)O(2)P(2.5)F(15)Ru, orthorhombic, Pccn, a = 15.966(1) A, b = 31.839(1) A, c = 11.707(1) A, V = 5950.8(4) A(3), and Z = 8. The structural results revealed that the single crystal consisted of 1:1 mixture of cis-[Ru(NO)(NH=C(O)CH(3))(bpy)(2)](2+) and cis-[Ru(NO)(NH=C(OH)CH(3))(bpy)(2)](3+) and the structural formula of this single crystal was thus [Ru(NO)(NH=C(OH(0.5))CH(3))(bpy)(2)](PF(6))(2.5). The reaction of cis-[Ru(NO)(CH(3)CN)(bpy)(2)](3+) in dry CH(3)OH-CH(3)CN at room temperature afforded a nitrosylruthenium complex containing the methyl methylcarboxyimidate ligand, cis-[Ru(NO)(NH=C(OCH(3))CH(3))(bpy)(2)](3+). The structure has been determined by X-ray structure analysis: C(25)H(29)N(8)O(18)Cl(3)Ru, monoclinic, P2(1)/c, a = 13.129(1) A, b = 17.053(1) A, c = 15.711(1) A, beta = 90.876(5) degrees, V = 3517.3(4) A(3), and Z = 4.  相似文献

In this paper, carbamate-based self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of alkanethiolates on gold were suggested as a versatile platform for release of amine-bearing molecules in response to the electrical signal. The designed SAMs underwent the electrochemical oxidation on the gold surface with simultaneous release of the amine molecules. The synthesis of the thiol compounds was achieved by coupling isocyanate-containing compounds with hydroquinone. The electroactive thiol was mixed with 11-mercaptoundecanol [HS(CH(2))(11)OH] to form a mixed monolayer, and cyclic votammetry was used for the characterization of the release behaviors. The mixed SAMs showed a first oxidation peak at +540 mV (versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode), indicating the irreversible conversion from carbamate to hydroquinone groups with simultaneous release of the amine molecules. The analysis of ToF-SIMS further indicated that the electrochemical reaction on the gold surface successfully released amine molecules.  相似文献

An exploratory study of the synthesis of vanadium (oxy)fluorides (VOFs) using ionic liquids (ILs) and deep eutectic mixtures (DESs) as a solvent yielded 10 different materials. The previously reported chain type: (NH(4))(2)VF(5) (1), (NH(4))(2)VOF(4) (2), NH(4)VO(3) (3) and (H(2)NH(2)(CH(2))(2)NH(2))VF(5) (9) have been successfully produced for the first time using ILs as the reaction media. The monomeric (HNH(2)CH(3))(2)VOF(4)(H(2)O) (4), the dimer (HNH(2)CH(3))(4)V(2)O(2)F(8) (5) and the 1D chains (HNH(2)CH(3))(2)VF(5) (6), (H(2)O)(2)VF(3) (7), α-(H(2)NH(2)(CH(2))(2)NH(2))VOF(4) (8) and β-(H(2)NH(2)(CH(2))(2)NH(2))VOF(4) (10) are novel materials. Template control has also been achieved by the selective choice of ILs or the appropriate deep eutectic mixture, where the expected template is delivered to the reaction by the partial breakdown of the urea derivative portion of the DES.  相似文献

A novel kind of ethylene-ferrocenyl dodecyl thiol bearing an electron-withdrawing pyridium group (FcCH=CH-Py(CH2)10SH) was synthesized and mixed with HOOCC(10)SH on an Au electrode to form mixed self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) in ethanol solution. The influence of the water content of acetonitrile on the electrochemistry of the SAMs was studied by cyclic voltammetry and ac voltammetry measurement. The results showed that the current decreased and the oxidation potential of the ferrocene group shifted negatively with increasing water content of acetonitrile.  相似文献

This work introduces a calibrated B3LYP/6-31G(d) study on the electronic structure of singlet and triplet neutral species of 1,2-substituted icosahedral 1,2-R(2)-1,2-C(2)B(10)H(10) and octahedral 1,2-R(2)-1,2-C(2)B(4)H(4) molecules with R = {H, OH, SH, NH(2), PH(2), CH(3), SiH(3)} and their respective dianions formed by proton removal on each R group. A variety of small adiabatic singlet-triplet gaps DeltaE(ST) are obtained from these systems ranging from 2.93 eV (R = NH(2)) 相似文献
