In this paper we discuss necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the compression of an analytic Toeplitz operator onto a shift coinvariant subspace to have nontrivial reducing subspaces. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the kernel of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is the quotient of two inner functions to be nontrivial and obtain examples of reducing subspaces from these kernels. Motivated by this result we give necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the kernel of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is the quotient of two inner functions to be nontrivial in terms of the supports of the two inner functions. By studying the commutant of a compression, we are able to give a necessary condition for the existence of reducing subspaces on certain shift coinvariant subspaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish maximal Lp−Lq estimates for non-autonomous parabolic equations of the type u′(t)+A(t)u(t)=f(t), u(0)=0 under suitable conditions on the kernels of the semigroups generated by the operators −A(t), t∈[0,T]. In this paper we describe families of those bounded linear operators that are simultaneously unitarily equivalent to integral operators with smooth Carleman kernels. The so-called generalized Bochner theorem, stated by Cotlar and Sadosky, provides an integral representation of the positive definite generalized Toeplitz kernels. In this paper we derive noncommutative analogues of lifting theorems and the generalized Bochner theorem for completely positive definite generalized Toeplitz kernels, also considered by Cotlar and Sadosky, through the theory of unitary extensions of isometric operators. Moreover, in the case where the kernel is defined in×, we can associate to each unitary extension an interpolation colligation providing thus a wide class of liftings. Also a Levy-Khinchine type formula for this kind of kernels is obtained.This paper is supported by grants from the University of the Basque Country.  相似文献

We investigate the sampling theory associated with basic Sturm–Liouville eigenvalue problems. We derive two sampling theorems for integral transforms whose kernels are basic functions and the integral is of Jackson's type. The kernel in the first theorem is a solution of a basic difference equation and in the second one it is expressed in terms of basic Green's function of the basic Sturm–Liouville systems. Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of solutions to discrete time-variant interpolation problems of Nevanlinna-Pick and Nudelman type. The proofs are based on a reduction scheme which allows one to treat these time-variant interpolation problems as classical interpolation problems for operator-valued functions with operator arguments. The criterion of invertibility or Fredholmness of some multi-dimensional integral equations with Carleman type shifts are given. The investigation is based on some Banach space approach to equations with an involutive operator. A modified version of this approach is also presented in the paper.This approach is applied to multi-dimensional convolution type equations when the kernels may be integrable or of singular Calderon-Zygmund-Mikhlin type and shift generated by a linear transformation in the Euclidean space satisfying the generalized Carleman condition. The convolution type equations are also specially considered in the two-dimensional case in a sector on the plane symmetric with respect to one of the axes and the corresponding reflection shift. Another application deals with multi-dimensional equations with homogeneous kernels and the shift .  相似文献

The Fourier transform for Schwartz spaces on Chébli-Trimèche hypergroups is studied, leading to results on approximation to the identity for functions and distributions on the half-line. In particular it is shown that the heat and Poisson kernels on the half-line form approximate units in various function spaces. New inequalities of singular values of the integral operators with smoothL 2 kernels are obtained and shown by examples to be sharp if the kernels satisfy also certain boundary conditions. In this article, an approach to joint seminormality based on the theory of Dirac and Laplace operators on Dirac vector bundles is presented. To eachn-tuple of bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space we first associate a Dirac bundle furnished with a metric-preserving linear connection defined in terms of thatn-tuple. Employing standard spin geometry techniques we next get a Bochner type and two Bochner-Kodaira type identities in multivariable operator theory. Further, four different classes of jointly seminormal tuples are introduced by imposing semidefiniteness conditions on the remainders in the corresponding Bochner-Kodaira identities. Thus we create a setting in which the classical Bochner's method can be put into action. In effect, we derive some vanishing theorems regarding various spectral sets associated with commuting tuples. In the last part of this article we investigate a rather general concept of seminormality for self-adjoint tuples with an even or odd number of entries.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the question to obtain (algebraic and topologic) equivalence (after extension) relations between convolution type operators on unions of intervals and convolution type operators on the half-line. These operators are supposed to act between Bessel potential spaces,H s,p , which are the appropriate spaces in several applications. The present approach is based upon special properties of convenient projectors, decompositions and extension operators and the construction of certain homeomorphisms between the kernels of the projectors. The main advantage of the method is that it provides explicit operator matrix identities between the mentioned operators where the relations are constructed only by bounded invertible operators. So they are stronger than the (algebraic) Kuijper-Spitkovsky relation and the Bastos-dos Santos-Duduchava relation with respect to the transfer of properties on the prize that the relations depend on the orders of the spaces and hold only for non-critical orders:S – 1/p . For instance, (generalized) inverses of the operators are explicitly represented in terms of operator matrix factorization. In this paper, we study a class of nonlinear operator equations with more extensive conditions in ordered Banach spaces. By using the cone theory and Banach contraction mapping principle, the existence and uniqueness of solutions for such equations are investigated without demanding the existence of upper and lower solutions and compactness and continuity conditions. The results in this paper are applied to a class of abstract semilinear evolution equations with noncompact semigroup in Banach spaces and the initial value problems for nonlinear second-order integro-differential equations of mixed type in Banach spaces. The results obtained here improve and generalize many known results.  相似文献

We study the approximation of common fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings and suggest a modification of the iterative algorithm without the assumption of any type of commutativity.
