A series of five Fe(III) phosphonate clusters with four different topologies is reported. The choice of coligand carboxylate plays an important role in directing the structure of the molecule. [Fe9(O)4(O2CCMe3)13(C10P)3] (1) and [Fe9(O)2(OH)(CO2Ph)10(C10P)6(H2O)2](CH3CN)7 (2; camphyl phosphonic acid, C10H17PO3H2 = C10PH2) represent two unprecedented nonanuclear Fe(III) cages having Fe9O4 and Fe9(O)2(OH) core structures, respectively. Whereas [Fe6O2(O)2(O2CCMe3)8(C10P)2 (H2O)2](CH3CN)4 (3) is a peroxo-bridged hexameric compound with an Fe6(O)2(O2) core. [Fe4(O)(O2CCMe3)4(C10P)3(Py)4](CH3CN)3 (4) and [Fe4(O)(O2CPh)4(C10P)3(Py)4](Py)3(CH3CN)2 (5; Py = pyridine) represents two tetranuclear clusters with the same Fe4O core structure.  相似文献

This study examines structural features and aspects of reactivity of Gif-type reagents, which depend on O2/Zn to mediate oxidation of hydrocarbons. The reagents investigated derive from the use of iron complexes with the anion of the weak carboxylic acid Me3CCO2H (pivalic acid (PivH)) in pyridine/PivH. In these solutions, the known compound [Fe3O(O2CCMe3)6(py)3] is reduced by Zn to generate yellow-green [FeII(O2CCMe3)2(py)4], which readily reverts to [Fe3O(O2CCMe3)6(py)3], and eventually to [Fe3O(O2CCMe3)6(py)3]+, upon exposure to dioxygen. All three species are equally well suited to mediate Gif-like oxygenation of substrates supported by O2/Zn. [FeIII3O(O2CCMe3)6(L)3]+ (L = H2O, py) is converted by H2O2 to afford the hexairon(III) peroxo compounds [Fe6(O2)(O)2(O2CCMe3)12(L)2] (L = Me3CCO2H, py), which feature a [Fe6(eta 2-mu 4-O2)(mu 3-O)2] core previously documented in the closely related [Fe6(O2)(O)2(O2CPh)12(H2O)2]. A similar peroxo species, [Fe6(O2)(O)2(O2CCMe3)2(O2CCF3)10(H2O)2], is obtained upon replacing all pivalate ligands by trifluoroacetate groups with the exception of those pivalates that bridge between the two [Fe3O(O2CCF3)5(H2O)]2+ units. The structure of the [Fe6(O2)(O)2] core in these peroxo species is found to range from a recliner to a butterfly-type conformation. Reduction of [Fe6(O2)(O)2(O2CCMe3)12(HO2CCMe3)2] with NaBH4 generates [Na2Fe4(O)2(O2CCMe3)10(L)(L')] (L = CH3CN, L' = Me2CO; L = L' = Me3CCO2H), which feature a [Na2Fe4(O)2] core possessing a bent butterfly conformation of the [Fe4(O)2] unit. Oxidation of the same peroxo complex by CeIV or NOBF4 regenerates the oxo-bridged [Fe3O(O2CCMe3)6(solv)3]+ (solv = EtOH, H2O, thf). Employment of the sterically encumbered 2-Me-5-Etpyridine provides the tetrairon compound [Fe4(O)2(O2CCMe3)8(2-Me-5-Etpy)2], which can be readily transformed upon treatment with H2O2 to the asymmetric peroxo complex [Fe6(O2)(O)2(O2CCMe3)12(2-Me-5-Etpy)2]. The peroxo-containing complexes oxidize both cis-stilbene and adamantane in either benzene or py/PivH, but only under forceful conditions and at very low yields. The low reactivity and high selectivity (tert/sec = 8) obtained in the oxidation of adamantane suggests that the present type of peroxo species is not directly involved in catalytic Gif-type oxygenations of adamantane.  相似文献

The syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetochemical characterization of five new iron clusters [Fe5O2(O2CPh)7(edte)(H2O)] (1), [Fe6O2(O2CBut)8(edteH)2] (2), [Fe12O4(OH)2(O2CMe)6(edte)4(H2O)2](ClO4)4 (3), [Fe12O4(OH)8(edte)4(H2O)2](ClO4)4 (4), and [Fe12O4(OH)8(edte)4(H2O)2](NO3)4 (5) (edteH4= N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl) ethylenediamine) are reported. The reaction of edteH4 with [Fe3O(O2CPh)6(H2O)3](NO3) and [Fe3O(O2CBut)6(H2O)3](OH) gave 1 and 2, respectively. Complex 3 was obtained from the reaction of edteH4 and NaO2CMe with Fe(ClO4)3, whereas 4 and 5 were obtained from the reaction of edteH4 with Fe(ClO4)3 and Fe(NO3)3, respectively. The core of 1 consists of a [Fe4(mu3-O)2]8+ butterfly unit to which is attached a fifth Fe atom by four bridging O atoms. The core of 2 consists of two triangular [Fe3(mu3-O)]7+ units linked together by six bridging O atoms. Finally, the cores of 3-5 consist of an [Fe12(mu4-O)4(mu-OH)2]26+ unit. Variable-temperature (T) and -field (H) solid-state direct and alternating current magnetization (M) studies were carried out on complexes 1-3 in the 1.8-300 K range. Analysis of the obtained data revealed that 1, 2, and 3-5 possess an S = 5/2, 5, and 0 ground-state spin, respectively. The fitting of the obtained M/N(muB) vs H/T data was carried out by matrix diagonalization, and this gave values for the axial zero-field splitting (ZFS) parameter D of -0.50 cm-1 for 1 and -0.28 cm-1 for 2.  相似文献

The reactions of [Mn3O(O2CCCl3)6(H2O)3] with 1-phenyl-3-(2-pyridyl)propane-1,3-dione (HL(1)) and 1-(2-pyridly)-3-(p-tolyl)propane-1,3-dione (HL(2)) in CH2Cl2 afford the mixed-valence Mn(II)2Mn(III)2 tetranuclear complexes [Mn4O(O2CCCl3)6(L(1))2] (1) and [Mn4O(O2CCCl3)6L2(2)] (2), respectively. Similar reactions employing [Mn3O(O2CPh)6(H2O)(py)2] with HL(1) and HL(2) give the Mn(II)3Mn(III)3 hexanuclear complexes [Mn6O2(O2CPh)8(L(1))3] (3) and [Mn6O2(O2CPh)8L3(2)] (4), respectively. Complexes 1.2CH2Cl2, 2.2CH2Cl2.H2O, 3.1.5CH2Cl2.Et2O.H2O, and 4.2CH2Cl2 crystallize in the triclinic space group P1, monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, monoclinic space group P2 1/ n, and monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, respectively. Complexes 1 and 2 consist of a trapped-valence tetranuclear core of [Mn(II)2Mn(III)2(mu4-O)](8+), and complexes 3 and 4 represent a new structural type, possessing a [Mn(II)3Mn(III)3(mu4-O)2](11+) core. The magnetic data indicate that complexes 3 and 4 have a ground-state spin value of S = 7/2 with significant magnetoanisotropy as gauged by the D values of -0.51 cm (-1) and -0.46 cm (-1), respectively, and frequency-dependent out-of-phase signals in alternating current magnetic susceptibility studies indicate their superparamagnetic behavior. In contrast, complexes 1 and 2 are low-spin molecules with an S = 1 ground state. Single-molecule magnetism behavior confirmed for 3 the presence of sweep-rate and temperature-dependent hysteresis loops in single-crystal M versus H studies at temperatures down to 40 mK.  相似文献

Three isostructural disklike heptanuclear FeIII compounds of the general formula [FeIII7(mu3-O)3(L)3(mu-O2CCMe3)6(eta1-O2CCMe3)3(H2O)3], where L represents a di- or triethanolamine moiety, display a three-blade propeller topology, with the central Fe atom representing the axle or axis of the propeller. This motif corresponds to the theoretical model of a frustrated Heisenberg star, which is one of the very few solvable models in the area of frustrated quantum-spin systems and can, furthermore, be converted to an octanuclear cage for the case where L is triethanolamine to give [FeIII8(mu4O)3(mu4-tea)(teaH)3(O2CCMe3)6(N3)3].1/2MeCN.1/2H2O or [FeIII8(mu4O)3(mu4-tea)(teaH)3(O2CCMe3)6(SCN)3].2MeCN when treated with excess NaN3 or NH4SCN, respectively. The core structure is formally derived from that of the heptanuclear compounds by the replacement of the three aqua ligands by an {Fe(tea)} moiety, so that the 3-fold axis of the propeller is now defined by two central FeIII atoms. Magnetic studies on two of the heptanulcear compounds established unequivocally S = 5/2 spin ground state for these complexes, consistent with overall antiferromagnetic interactions between the constituent FeIII ions.  相似文献

The syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetochemical characterization of four new iron clusters [Fe7O4(O2CPh)11(dmem)2] (1), [Fe7O4(O2CMe)11(dmem)2] (2), [Fe6O2(OH)4(O2CBut)8(dmem)2] (3), and [Fe3O(O2CBut)2(N3)3(dmem)2] (4) (dmemH=Me2NCH2CH2N(Me)CH2CH2OH)=2-{[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]methylamino}ethanol) are reported. The reaction of dmemH with [Fe3O(O2CR)6(H2O)3](NO3) (R=Ph (1), Me (2), and But (3)) gave 1, 2, and 3, respectively, whereas 4 was obtained from the reaction of 3 with sodium azide. The complexes all possess rare or novel core topologies. The core of 1 comprises two [Fe4(mu3-O)2]8+ butterfly units sharing a common body Fe atom. The core of 2 consists of a [Fe3O3] ring with each doubly bridging O2- ion becoming mu3 by also bridging to a third, external Fe atom; a seventh Fe atom is attached on the outside of this core via an additional mu3-O2- ion. The core of 3 consists of a [Fe4(mu3-O)2]8+ butterfly unit with an Fe atom attached above and below this by bridging O atoms. Finally, the core of 4 is an isosceles triangle bridged by a mu3-O2- ion with a rare T-shaped geometry and with the azide groups all bound terminally. Variable-temperature, solid-state dc, and ac magnetization studies were carried out on complexes 1-4 in the 5.0-300 K range. Fitting of the obtained magnetization (M) vs field (H) and temperature (T) data by matrix diagonalization and including only axial anisotropy (zero-field splitting) established that 1, 2, and 4 each possess an S=5/2 ground state spin, whereas 3 has an S=5 ground state. As is usually the case, good fits of the magnetization data could be obtained with both positive and negative D values. To obtain more accurate values and to determine the sign of D, high-frequency EPR studies were carried out on single crystals of representative complexes 1.4MeCN and 3.2MeCN, and these gave D=+0.62 cm-1 and |E|>or=0.067 cm-1 for 1.4MeCN and D=-0.25 cm-1 for 3.2MeCN. The magnetic susceptibility data for 4 were fit to the theoretical chiM vs T expression derived by the use of an isotropic Heisenberg spin Hamiltonian and the Van Vleck equation, and this revealed the pairwise exchange parameters to be antiferromagnetic with values of Ja=-3.6 cm-1 and Jb=-45.9 cm-1. The combined results demonstrate the ligating flexibility of dmem and its usefulness in the synthesis of a variety of Fex molecular species.  相似文献

A new synthetic procedure has been developed in Mn cluster chemistry involving reductive aggregation of permanganate (MnO4-) ions in MeOH in the presence of benzoic acid, and the first products from its use are described. The reductive aggregation of NBu(n)4MnO4 in MeOH/benzoic acid gave the new 4Mn(IV), 8Mn(III) anion [Mn12O12(OMe)2(O2CPh)16(H2O)2]2-, which was isolated as a mixture of two crystal forms (NBu(n)4)2[Mn12O12(OMe)2(O2CPh)16(H2O)2].2H2O.4CH2Cl2 (1a) and (NBu(n)4)2[Mn12O12(OMe)2(O2CPh)16(H2O)2].2H2O.CH2Cl2 (1b). The anion of 1 contains a central [Mn(IV)4(mu3-O)2(mu-O)2(mu-OMe)2]6+ unit surrounded by a nonplanar ring of eight Mn(III) atoms that are connected to the central Mn4 unit by eight bridging mu3-O2- ions. This compound is very similar to the well-known [Mn12O12(O2CR)16(H2O)4] complexes (hereafter called "normal Mn12"), with the main difference being the structure of the central cores. Longer reaction times (approximately 2 weeks) led to isolation of polymeric [Mn(OMe)(O2CPh)2]n2, which contains a linear chain of repeating [Mn(III)(mu-O2CPh)2(mu-OMe)Mn(III)] units. The chains are parallel to each other and interact weakly through pi-stacking between the benzoate rings. When KMnO4 was used instead of NBu(n)4MnO4, two types of compounds were obtained, [Mn12O12(O2CPh)16(H2O)4] (3), a normal Mn12 complex, and [Mn4O2(O2CPh)8(MeOH)4].2MeOH (4.2MeOH), a new member of the Mn4 butterfly family. The cyclic voltammogram of 1 exhibits three irreversible processes, two reductions and one oxidation. One-electron reduction of 1 by treatment with 1 equiv of I- in CH2Cl2 gave (NBu(n)4[Mn12O12(O2CPh)16(H2O)3].6CH2Cl2 (5.6CH2Cl2), a normal Mn12 complex in a one-electron reduced state. The variable-temperature magnetic properties of 1, 2, and 5 were studied by both direct current (dc) and alternating current (ac) magnetic susceptibility measurements. Variable-temperature dc magnetic susceptibility studies revealed that (i) complex 1 possesses an S = 6 ground state, (ii) complex 2 contains antiferromagnetically coupled chains, and (iii) complex 5 is a typical [Mn12]- cluster with an S = 19/2 ground state. Variable-temperature ac susceptibility measurements suggested that 5 and both isomeric forms of 1 (1a,b) are single-molecule magnets (SMMs). This was confirmed by the observation of hysteresis loops in magnetization vs dc field scans. In addition, 1a,b, like normal Mn12 clusters, display both faster and slower relaxing magnetization dynamics that are assigned to the presence of Jahn-Teller isomerism.  相似文献

The initial use of the anion of 6-hydroxymethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (hmbpH) as a chelate in coordination chemistry is described. The syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetochemical characterization are reported of four new iron(III) clusters [Fe5O2(OH)(O2CMe)5(hmbp)3](ClO4)2 (1) and [Fe6O2(OH)2(O2CR)6(hmbp)4](NO3)2 (R=Ph (2), Me (3), But (4); hmbpH=6-hydroxymethyl-2,2'-bipyridine). The reaction of Fe(ClO4)3, hmbpH, and sodium acetate in a 1:1: approximately 4 ratio in EtOH gave 1, and the reaction between [Fe3O(O2CR)6(H2O)3](NO3) (R=Ph, Me, But) and hmbpH in a 1:1 ratio in MeCN gave 2-4, respectively. The core of 1 consists of a [Fe4(mu3-O)2]8+ butterfly unit to which is attached a fifth Fe atom by bridging O atoms. The core of 2-4 also consists of a [Fe4(mu3-O)2]8+ butterfly unit to which are attached an Fe atom on either side by bridging O atoms. Variable-temperature (T) and -field (H) solid-state DC and AC magnetization (M) studies were carried out on complexes 1-4 in the 5.0-300 K range. Fitting of the data revealed that 1 has an S=5/2 ground state spin whereas 2-4 possess an S=5 ground state. Fitting of the M/NmicroB vs H/T data by matrix diagonalization and including only axial zero-field splitting (ZFS) gave values of the axial ZFS parameter |D| of 0.75, 0.36, 0.46, and 0.36 cm(-1) for 1-4, respectively.  相似文献

The occurrence of a heteroatom X (C, N, or O) in the MoFe7S9X core of the iron-molybdenum cofactor of nitrogenase has encouraged synthetic attempts to prepare high-nuclearity M-Fe-S-X clusters containing such atoms. We have previously shown that reaction of the edge-bridged double cubane [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S8(PEt3)4] (1) with nucleophiles HQ- affords the clusters [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S8Q(QH)2](3-) (Q = S, Se) in which HQ- is a terminal ligand and Q(2-) is a mu2-bridging atom in the core. Reactions with OH- used as such or oxygen nucleophiles generated in acetonitrile from (Bu3Sn)2O or Me3SnOH and fluoride were examined. Reaction of 1 with Et4NOH in acetonitrile/water generates [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9(OH)2]3- (3), isolated as [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9(OH)(OC(=NH)Me)(H2O)](3-) and shown to have the [Mo2Fe6(mu2-S)2(mu3-S)6(mu6-S)] core topology very similar to the P(N) cluster of nitrogenase. The reaction system 1/Et4NOH in acetonitrile/methanol yields the P(N)-type cluster [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9(OMe)2(H2O)](3-) (5). The system 1/Me3SnOH/F- affords the oxo-bridged double P(N)-type cluster {[(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9(mu2-O)]2}5- (7), convertible to the oxidized cluster {[(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9(mu2-O)]2}4- (6), which is prepared independently from [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9F2(H2O)](3-)/(Bu3Sn)2O. In the preparations of 3-5 and 7, hydroxide liberates sulfide from 1 leading to the formation of P(N)-type clusters. Unlike reactions with HQ-, no oxygen atoms are integrated into the core structures of the products. However, the half-dimer composition [Mo2Fe6S9O] relates to the MoFe7S9 constitution of the putative native cluster with X = O. (Tp = hydrotris(pyrazolyl) borate(1-)).  相似文献

Interesting two-dimensional networks with square or hexagonal cavities, and three-dimensional networks with different channels, have been obtained by varying the counterions, the molar ratio of metal to hmt (hmt = hexamethylenetetramine) and the pH values of the initial solutions. Among the eleven products isolated and structurally characterized, two have a metal-to-hmt molar ratio of 2:1 and are the first examples of Ag-hmt square networks, namely [Ag2(mu4-hmt)(NO2)2] (1) and [Ag2(mu4-hmt)(SO4)(H2O)].4H2O (2), two have a metal-to-hmt molar ratio of 1:1 and are 2-D networks with hexagonal cavities, namely [Ag(micro3-hmt)(NO2)] (3) and [Ag2(micro3-hmt)2](S2O6).2H2O (4), and seven present the metal-to-hmt molar ratios of 3:1, 2:1, 3:2, or 4:3 and are 3-D networks of novel topologies and with different channels, namely [Ag2(mu4-hmt)(micro4-ox)] (5), [Ag3(micro4-hmt)2(H2O)2](SO4)(HSO4). 2H2O (6), [Ag2(mu4-hmt)(mu2-O2CMe)](MeCO2).4.5 H2O (7), [Ag2(mu4-hmt)(mu3-maleate)].5H2O (8), [Ag3(mu4-hmt)(mu2-O2CPh)3] (9), [Ag4(mu4-hmt)3(H2O)](SO4)(NO3)2.3H2O (10), and [Ag12(mu4-hmt)6(mu3-HPO4)(mu2-H2PO4)3(H2PO4)7(H2O)](H3PO4).10.5H2O (11).  相似文献

The syntheses, crystal structures, magnetochemical characterization, and theoretical calculations are reported for three new iron clusters [Fe 6O 2(NO3) 4(hmp) 8(H 2O) 2](NO3)2 (1), [Fe4(N3)6(hmp)6] (2), and [Fe8O3(OMe)(pdm)4(pdmH) 4(MeOH)2](ClO4)5 (3) (hmpH=2-(hydroxymethyl)pyridine; pdmH2=2,6-pyridinedimethanol). The reaction of hmpH with iron(III) sources such as Fe(NO3) 3.9H2O in the presence of NEt 3 gave 1, whereas 2 was obtained from a similar reaction by adding an excess of NaN3. Complex 3 was obtained in good yield from the reaction of pdmH 2 with Fe(ClO4)3.6H2O in MeOH in the presence of an organic base. The complexes all possess extremely rare or novel core topologies. The core of 1 comprises two oxide-centered [Fe3(mu3-O)](7+) triangular units linked together at two of their apexes by two sets of alkoxide arms of hmp(-) ligands. Complex 2 contains a zigzag array of four Fe (III) atoms within an [Fe4(mu-OR) 6](6+) core, with the azide groups all bound terminally. Finally, complex 3 contains a central [Fe 4(mu4-O)](10+) tetrahedron linked to two oxide-centered [Fe3(mu3-O)](7+) triangular units. Variable-temperature, solid-state dc and ac magnetization studies were carried out on complexes 1-3 in the 5.0-300 K range. Fitting of the obtained magnetization versus field (H) and temperature (T) data by matrix diagonalization and including only axial anisotropy (zero-field splitting, ZFS) established that 1 possesses an S=3 ground-state spin, with g=2.08, and D=-0.44 cm(-1). The magnetic susceptibility data for 2 up to 300 K were fit by matrix diagonalization and gave J1=-9.2 cm(-1), J2=-12.5 cm(-1), and g=2.079, where J 1 and J 2 are the outer and middle nearest-neighbor exchange interactions, respectively. Thus, the interactions between the Fe(III) centers are all antiferromagnetic, giving an S=0 ground state for 2. Similarly, complex 3 was found to have an S=0 ground state. Theoretically computed values of the exchange constants in 2 were obtained with DFT calculations and the ZILSH method and were in good agreement with the values obtained from the experimental data. Exchange constants obtained with ZILSH for 3 successfully rationalized the experimental S = 0 ground state. The combined work demonstrates the ligating flexibility of pyridyl-alcohol chelates and their usefulness in the synthesis of new polynuclear Fex clusters without requiring the copresence of carboxylate ligands.  相似文献

The reaction of phenylphosphonic acid (PhPO(3)H(2)) with the mixed-valent basic oxo-centered manganese triangle [Mn(3)O(O(2)CCMe(3))(6)(py)(3)] (1; where py=pyridine) in the presence of a suitable base gives four different manganese clusters depending on the identity of the base. The syntheses and structural characterization of [Mn(18)(mu(3)-O)(8)(PhPO(3))(14)(O(2)CCMe(3))(12)(py)(6)(H(2)O)(2)] (2), [Mn(7)(mu(3)-O)(3)(O(3)PPh)(3)(O(2)CCMe(3))(8)(py)(3)] (3), [Mn(9)Na(mu(3)-O)(4)(mu(4)-O)(2)(O(3)PPh)(2)(O(2)CCMe(3))(12)(H(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(0.67)(Py)(0.33)] (4), and [Mn(13)(mu(3)-O)(8)(OMe)(8)(O(3)PPh)(4)(O(2)CCMe(3))(10)] (5) are described. Complexes 4 and 5 are homovalent Mn(III) cages, while 2 and 3 contain divalent, trivalent, and/or tetravalent ions. All the manganese centers are valence-localized, the octahedral Mn(III) sites being recognizable by marked Jahn-Teller distortions. The magnetic properties of compounds 2-5 have been investigated in the polycrystalline state by magnetic susceptibility and high-field magnetization measurements, which reveal that spin ground states vary from 0< or =S > or =8. AC susceptibility measurements performed on 4 and 5, in the 1.6-10.0 K ranges show the presence of out of AC susceptibility signal (chi(M)') for 4, and an effective energy barrier (U(eff)) for the re-orientation of the magnetization is found to be 17 K, but for 5, the chi(M)' maximum is found to be below 1.5 K.  相似文献

We have structurally and magnetically characterized a total of 12 complexes based on the Single-Molecule Magnet (SMM) [MnIII6O2(sao)6(O2CH)2(MeOH) 4] (1) (where sao2- is the dianion of salicylaldoxime or 2-hydroxybenzaldeyhyde oxime) that display analogous structural cores but remarkably different magnetic behaviors. Via the use of derivatized oxime ligands and bulky carboxylates we show that it is possible to deliberately increase the value of the spin ground state of the complexes [Mn6O2(Me-sao)6(O2CCPh3)2(EtOH)4] (2), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2CCMe3)2(EtOH)5] (3), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2CPh2OPh)2(EtOH)4] (4), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2CPh4OPh)2(EtOH)4(H2O)2] (5), [Mn6O2(Me-sao)6(O2CPhBr)2(EtOH)6] (6), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2CPh)2(EtOH)4(H2O)2] (7), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6{O2CPh(Me)2}2(EtOH)6] (8), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2C11H15)2(EtOH)6] (9), [Mn6O2(Me-sao)6(O2C-th)2(EtOH)4(H2O)2] (10), [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2CPhMe)2(EtOH)4(H2O)2] (11), and [Mn6O2(Et-sao)6(O2C12H17)2(EtOH)4(H2O)2] (12) (Et-saoH2 = 2-hydroxypropiophenone oxime, Me-saoH2 = 2-hydroxyethanone oxime, HO2CCPh3 = triphenylacetic acid, HO2CCMe3 = pivalic acid, HO2CPh2OPh = 2-phenoxybenzoic acid, HO2CPh4OPh = 4-phenoxybenzoic acid, HO2CPhBr = 4-bromobenzoic acid, HO2CPh(Me)2 = 3,5-dimethylbenzoic acid, HO2C11H15 = adamantane carboxylic acid, HO2C-th = 3-thiophene carboxylic acid, HO2CPhMe = 4-methylbenzoic acid, and HO2C12H17 = adamantane acetic acid) in a stepwise fashion from S = 4 to S = 12 and, in-so-doing, enhance the energy barrier for magnetization reorientation to record levels. The change from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic exchange stems from the "twisting" or "puckering" of the (-Mn-N-O-)3 ring, as evidenced by the changes in the Mn-N-O-Mn torsion angles.  相似文献

They have a similar Mn(12) core of [Mn(III)(12)(mu(4)-O)(3)(mu(3)-O)(5)(mu-O(3)P)(3)] with a new type of topologic structure. Solid-state dc magnetic susceptibility measurements of complexes 1-3 reveal that dominant antiferromagnetic interactions are propagated between the magnetic centers. The ac magnetic measurements suggest an S = 2 ground state for compounds 1 and 3 and an S = 3 ground state for compound 2.  相似文献

New organometallic clusters with the MFe2(mu3-S)2 core (M = Mo or Fe) have been synthesized from inorganic [MoFe3S4] or [Fe4S4] clusters under high pressure CO. The reaction of (Cl4-cat)2Mo2Fe6S8(PR3)6[R = Et, (n)Pr] with high pressure CO produced the crystalline [MoFe2S2]4+ clusters, (Cl4-cat)Mo(O)Fe2S2(CO)(n)(PR3)6-n[n= 4, Et =I, (n)Pr =II; n = 5, Et =III] after flash column chromatography. The similar [MoFe2S2]4+ cluster, (Cl4-cat)2MoFe2S2(CO)2(depe)(2)(IV), also has been achieved by the reactions of (Cl4-cat)MoFe3S3(CO)6(PEt3)2 with depe by reductive decoupling of the cluster. For the [Fe3(mu3-S)2]4+ cluster, [Fe4S4(PcHex3)4](BPh4) was reacted with high pressure CO to produce a new Fe3S2(CO)7(PcHex)(2)(V) compound. These reactions generalized the preparation of organometallic compounds from inorganic clusters. All the compounds have been characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography. A possible reaction pathway for the synthesis of the MFe2(mu3-S) clusters (M = Mo or Fe) has also been suggested.  相似文献

The reaction of Cu(ClO4)2. 6H2O with t-BuP(O)(OH)2 and 3,5-(CF3)2PzH in the presence of triethylamine afforded the dodecanuclear cage ([Et3NH]2[Cu12(mu-3,5-(CF3)2Pz)6(mu3-OH)6(mu-OH)3(mu3-t-BuPO3)2(mu6-t-BuPO3)3][t-BuPO2OH][C6H5CH3]2) (2). The molecular structure of this cage revealed that it possesses a barrel-shaped architechture. The cage structure is built by the cumulative coordination action of phosphonate, hydroxide, and pyrazolyl ligands. A similar reaction involving Cu(NO3)2. 3H2O, t-BuP(O)(OH)2, 3,5-dimethylpyrazole, and triethylamine afforded another dodecanuclear cage [Cu12(mu-DMPz)8(eta1-DMPzH)2(mu4-O)2(mu3-OH)4(mu3- t-BuPO3)4].3MeOH (3). The latter is crown-shaped and is built by the coordination of pyrazole, pyrazolyl, phosphonate, hydroxide, oxide, and methanol ligands. Both of the dodecanuclear cages are efficient nucleases in the presence of magnesium monoperoxyphthalate.  相似文献

Reaction of [Cu(PPh3)2(MeCN)2]ClO4 (1) and Sn(edt)2 (edt = ethane-1,2-dithiolate) in dichloromethane afforded a novel compound [Sn3Cu4(S2C2H4)6(mu3-O)(PPh3)4](ClO4)2 x 3 CH2Cl2 (2), which is the first example of the heptanuclear Sn(IV)-Cu(I) oxosulfur complex with a bottle-shaped cluster core. Complex 2 gives a blue-green luminescent emission in the solid state. A series of molybdenum and tungsten organometallic oxides containing [Ru(arene)]2+ units (arene =p-cymene, C6Me6) was obtained by condensation of [[Ru(arene)Cl2]2] with oxomolybdates and oxotungstates in aqueous or nonaqueous solvents. The crystal structures of [[Ru(eta6-C6Me6]]4W4O16], [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr]]4W2O10], [[[Ru-(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]2(mu-OH)3]2][[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]2W8O28(OH)2[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)(H2O)]2], and [[Ru(eta6-C6Me6)]2M5O18[Ru(eta6-C6Me6)(H2O)]] (M = Mo, W) have been determined. While the windmill-type clusters [[Ru(eta6-arene)]4(MO3)4(mu3-O)4] (M = Mo, W; arene =p-MeC6H4iPr, C6Me6), the face-sharing double cubane-type cluster [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]4(WO2)2(mu3-O)4(mu4-O)2], and the dimeric cluster [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)(WO3)3(mu3-O)3(mu3-OH)Ru(eta6-pMeC6H4iPr)(H2O)]2(mu-WO2)2]2- are based on cubane-like units, [(Ru(eta6-C6Me6)]2M5O18[Ru(eta6-C6Me6)(H2O)]] (M = Mo, W) are more properly described as lacunary Lindqvist-type polyoxoanions supporting three ruthenium centers. Precubane clusters [[Ru(eta6-arene)](MO3)2(mu-O)3(mu3-O)]6- are possible intermediates in the formation of these clusters. The cluster structures are retained in solution, except for [[Ru(eta6-p-MeC6H4iPr)]4Mo4O16], which isomerizes to the triple-cubane form.  相似文献

Members of the cluster set [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S8L4]z contain the core unit M2Fe6(mu3-S)6(mu4-S)2 in which two MoFe3S4 cubanes are coupled by two Fe-(mu4-S) interactions to form a centrosymmetric edge-bridged double cubane cluster. Some of these clusters are synthetic precursors to [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9L2]3-, which possess the same core topology as the P(N) cluster of nitrogenase. In this work, the existence of a three-member electron-transfer series of single cubanes [(Tp)MoFe3S4L3](z) (z = 3-, 2-, 1-) and a four-member series of double cubanes [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S8L4]z (z = 4-, 3-, 2-, 1-) with L = F-, Cl-, N3, PhS- is demonstrated by electrochemical methods, cluster synthesis, and X-ray structure determinations. The potential of the [4-/3-] couple is extremely low (<-1.5 V vs SCE in acetonitrile) such that the 4- state cannot be maintained in solution under normal anaerobic conditions. The chloride double cubane redox series was examined in detail. The members [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S8Cl4]4-,3-,2- were isolated and structurally characterized. The redox series includes the reversible steps [4-/3-] and [3-/2-]. Under oxidizing conditions, [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S8Cl4]2- cleaves with the formation of single cubane [(Tp)MoFe3S4Cl3]1-. The quasireversible [2-/1-] couple is observed at more positive potentials than those of the single cubane redox step. Structure comparison of nine double cubanes suggests that significant dimensional changes pursuant to redox reactions are mainly confined to the Fe2(mu4-S)2 bridge rhomb. The synthesis and structure of [(Tp)2Mo2Fe6S9F2.H2O]3-, a new topological analogue of the P(N) cluster of nitrogenase, is described. (Tp = hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate(1-)).  相似文献

The self-assembly of Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions with a bis-bidentate ligand 3,5-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyrazole (H 3L) was studied by Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, (1)H NMR measurements, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Reaction of Zn(ClO 4) 2.6H 2O and Cd(ClO 4) 2.6H 2O with H 3L in DMF gave two pentanuclear complexes [(Zn 5(mu 3-O)(H 2L) 6)(ClO 4) 2.DMF.9.5H 2O ( 1) and [Cd 5(mu 3-O)(H 2L) 6](ClO 4)(OH).4.75DMF.0.25EtOH.10.5H 2O ( 2), in which the trigonal-bipyramidal core structures are bridged by mu 3-oxo and pyrazolate rings of the monodeprotonated H 2L. When Na 3PO 4.12H 2O was used in the reaction system of CdBr 2.4H 2O and H 3L, [Cd 5(mu 3-O)(H 2L) 6]Br 2.4.5DMF.6.5H 2O ( 3) and [Cd 7(mu 6-PO 4)(mu-Br) 3(H 2L) 6](HPO 4).DMF.10H 2O ( 4) were isolated. 3 displays the same core structure as that of 2, whereas 4 exhibits a turbinate, heptanuclear core which is bridged by a mu 6-PO 4, three mu-Br, and three pyrazolate rings. All of the pentanuclear and heptanuclear cores are surrounded by three pairs of bis-bidentate H 2L (-) ligands with offset pi-pi stacking, showing propeller-like molecular structures and triple-stand helicates. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry studies and (1)H NMR measurements demonstrate that the pentanuclear complexes have different stability in the solution, depending on the metal ions and the counteranions. Furthermore, both 1 and 2 emit blue fluorescence with nanosecond luminescent lifetimes in DMF at room temperature.  相似文献
