Collective unidirectional motion of an asymmetrically coupled array of oscillators in symmetric periodic potentials is studied. A directed current is observed when the drift coupling is presented, while no external biased force is applied. Negative directed current is found when varying system parameters. An addition of a periodic rocking force may enhance the efficiency of directed transport. Resonant steps of the current are found and interpreted as the mode locking between the array and the ac force. Noise-assisted transport is observed, and an optimal noise intensity can give rise to a most efficient transport. The directed transport thus can be optimized and furthermore controlled by suitably adjusting the parameters of the system.  相似文献

The ratchet motion of a Brownian particle in a symmetric periodic potential under a rocking force thatbreaks the temporal symmetry is studied. As long as the relaxation time in the thermal background is much shorter thanthe forcing period, the unidirectional transport can be analytically treated. By solving the Fokker-Planck equations, weget an analytical expression of the current. This result indicates that with an appropriate match between the potentialfield, the asymmetric ac force and the thermal noise, a net current can be achieved. The current versus thermal noiseexhibits a stochastic-resonance-like behavior.  相似文献

Multistability, i.e., the coexistence of several attractors for a given set of system parameters, is one of the most important phenomena occurring in dynamical systems. We consider it in the velocity dynamics of a Brownian particle, driven by thermal fluctuations and moving in a biased periodic potential. In doing so, we focus on the impact of ergodicity—A concept which lies at the core of statistical mechanics. The latter implies that a single trajectory of the system is representative for the whole ensemble and, as a consequence, the initial conditions of the dynamics are fully forgotten. The ergodicity of the deterministic counterpart is strongly broken, and we discuss how the velocity multistability depends on the starting position and velocity of the particle. While for non-zero temperatures the ergodicity is, in principle, restored, in the low temperature regime the velocity dynamics is still affected by initial conditions due to weak ergodicity breaking. For moderate and high temperatures, the multistability is robust with respect to the choice of the starting position and velocity of the particle.  相似文献

针对不受外力和噪声驱动的非对称耦合粒子链在棘齿势中的运动, 建立了相应的数学模型, 并对其确定性定向输运现象进行研究. 仿真结果表明: 在粒子间的非对称耦合和具有空间反演非对称的棘齿势的共同作用下, 粒子链能够产生定向输运现象, 并在适当参数条件下还能形成反向定向流; 粒子链平均速度关于耦合系数、势垒高度、弹簧自由长度等系统参数分别都存在广义共振现象, 即存在最佳参数使得定向输运速度达到最大; 在其他参数固定的情况下, 粒子链平均速度关于弹簧自由长度变化的曲线具有近似反对称的特点, 并存在广义多峰共振现象.  相似文献

The features of the first-passage-time density function are analyzed theoretically in terms of synchronization between noise and periodic signal in a symmetric double-square-well system. Resonance is demonstrated as a maximum synchronization between them. To have the maximum cooperation between signal and noise, it is shown that the noise strength at resonance should increase linearly with the frequency of the signal. The time scale of the process at resonance is also shown to increase linearly with the period of the signal.  相似文献

不对称体系中的单向输运现象广泛存在于自然界中,宏观理论认为,体系的空间反演不对称性和有一定自相关时间的外加振动是引发单向运动的两个必要条件,因而一般认为,在分子尺度的不对称体系中,仅有热噪声也还是不会引发单向运动的。随着实验技术和计算手段的发展,有迹象表明,在分子尺度的不对称体系中,即使没有外加振动也会有单向运动产生。文章介绍在分子尺度由体系热噪声引发的不对称体系中,单向输运的理论进展,以及产生这种单向输运的条件。  相似文献

本文讨论了分数阶对数耦合系统在非周期外力作用情况下, 耦合粒子链的定向输运现象. 由于粒子在黏性介质中的运动具有“记忆性”, 所以本文通过将系统建模为分数阶对数耦合模型来研究各个系统参数对粒子链运动状态的影响. 数值仿真表明: 1)对于此类系统, 只有在存在外力作用的情况下粒子链才能够产生定向输运现象, 并且粒子链平均流速随着外力的增大而增大. 2)对于分数阶阶数较小的系统, 阻尼记忆性对粒子链的运动状态有显著的影响, 具体表现为: 粒子链的平均流速存在上界(这个上界非常小), 无论外力、耦合力以及噪声强度如何变化, 粒子链的平均流速都不会超过这个上界. 当系统的阻尼力很大且外力为零时, 粒子链不会产生定向输运现象. 3) 当系统的阶数与外力较大时, 虽然粒子链能够产生定向流, 但是此时系统对耦合力与噪声具有免疫性. 4) 耦合力与噪声强度对粒子链运动的影响只在外力较小的情况下有所表现. 在这种情况下, 当系统阶数充分大时, 粒子链的平均流速随着耦合力与噪声强度的变化而变化, 并且伴随着定向流的产生.  相似文献

A single-mode laser noise model driven by quadratic colored pump noise andbiased amplitude modulation signal is proposed. The analytic expression ofsignal-to-noise ratio is calculated by using a new linearized procedure. The coupling of a stub obliquely intersected with a metal-dielectric-metal plasmonic waveguide is investigated by using the finite difference in time domain method. Results show that an odd mode, except for the usual even mode, is excited in the stub due to the symmetry breaking of the oblique intersection. Moreover, the results show that tile quality factor of the odd mode is very high in comparison with that of the usual even mode, which is then explained by the symmetry breaking of the oblique stub intersection. The superposition of the even and the odd mode generates a Fano shaped spectrum with a very narrow linewidth. The effect of metallic loss and compensation are also discussed. Both the stub and the waveguide are compact in size, and simple in structure, which are beneficial for the achievements of narrow band filtering, sensing, lasing, and nonlinearity enhancement.  相似文献

A Brownian particle in a spatially symmetric and flashing periodic potential subjected to correlated noises is investigated. The exact expression of its current is analytically derived. The numerical results indicate that its current as a function of noise intensity exhibits two peaks in the case of positive correlations, and two vales in the case of negative correlations, i.e., a novel stochastic resonance (SR) phenomenon. The SR is attributed to the harmonic cooperation between the noises and the flashing periodic potential. The conditions under which the SR occurs are also presented.  相似文献

Based on the stochastic inclined rods model proposed by H.Matsuura et al., we study the motion of actin myosin system in an overdamped regime.Our model is composed of an inclined spring (rod),a myosin head and a myosin filament.The results of calculation show that the model can convert the random motion to one-directional motion,and the myosin head works as a resonator of random noise,which absorbs the energy through a stochastic resonance.The results show that the inclined rod and the intermolecular potential are very important for the system to move.  相似文献

Noise can induce inverse period-doubling transition and chaos. The effects of the colored noise on periodic orbits, of the different periodic sequences in the logistic map, are investigated. It is found that the dynamical behaviors of the orbits, induced by an exponentially correlated colored noise, are different in the mergence of transition, and the effects of the noise intensity ontheir dynamical behaviors are different from the effects of the correlation time of noise. Remarkably, the noise can induce new periodic orbits, namely, two new orbits emerge in the period-four sequence at the bifurcation parameter value μ=3.5, four new orbits in the period-eight sequence at μ=3.55, and three new orbits in the period-six sequence at μ= 3.846, respectively.Moreover, the dynamical behaviors of the new orbits clearly show theresonance like response to the colored noise.  相似文献

The method of matrix continued fraction is used to investigate stochastic resonance (SR) in the biased subdiffusive Smoluchowski system within linear response range. Numerical results of linear dynamic susceptibility and spectral amplification factor are presented and discussed in two-well potential and mono-well potential with different subdiffusion exponents. Following our observation, the introduction of a bias in the potential weakens the SR effect in the subdiffusive system just as in the normal diffusive case. Our observation also discloses that the subdiffusion inhibits the low-frequency SR, but it enhances the high-frequency SR in the biased Smoluchowski system, which should reflect a "flattening" influence of the subdiffusion on the linear susceptibility.  相似文献

本文研究了周期对称势中时间非对称外力驱动的布朗粒子输运现象, 建立了分数阶布朗马达输运模型. 其中外力是零均值的, 而分数阶阶数则刻画了客观环境的非均匀性程度. 通过将模型离散化进行数值模拟, 讨论了分数阶阶数、系统参量和外部参量与定向流之间的依赖关系. 研究表明, 即使没有倾斜势场的作用, 时间非对称外力也可以诱导系统产生定向输运; 输运速度随分数阶阶数的增大而单调递增; 当阶数固定时, 系统的输运速度会随着势垒高度、噪声强度非单调变化, 表现出广义随机共振现象. 分析指出, 分数阶郎之万方程所刻画的输运现象是在整数阶模型基础上的一个推广, 进而为输运现象提供了一个可能更为真实的模型.  相似文献

Adding a U(1) symmetry breaking term V1/2 a(λ1a0+λ*1a†0)+V1/22b0*2b†0) to Bogoliubov's truncated Hamiltonian HB for a weakly interacting coupled Bose system, by using the mean-field approximation rather than the c-number approximation, we find that, via a Feshbach resonance at zero temperature, the states of the coupled Bose system are generalized SU(1,1) × SU(1,1) coherent states. The Bose-Einsteincondensation occurs in response to the spontaneous U(1) symmetry breaking.  相似文献

Exact solutions are found for the averaged velocity of an overdamped pendulum driven by a series of square pulses. The formalism developed can be applied to either periodic or random switching as well as cases intermediate between the two.
